~Leon's POV~
It started as a normal day. The sun was shining, people were awake, the paperwork was being done by the adjudants, and more progress was made on Project Drifter.
Ever since the discovery of the border, I have been thinking about how we can break through to reach the final frontier.
We tried many things, and used many rotten nobles and pirates scums as guinea pigs, yet it was only after we discovered 'that', did we finally make some progress.
Project Drifter, is our one hope to expand beyond the stars-
.
.
.
-had just blown up in my face, metaphorically and literally.
Now here I am. Gone from the hellish otome game...and put into something that's even shittier.
I...am in a world inspired by hentai with hentai physics, hentai mindsets, and hentai rules.
It's horrible to realize I'm stuck in a world based on sex alone, but no no NO! It just had to be the one hentai I loathe with all my being.
Kuroinu...
Yep, I'm in the fucked up world of Estonia. The same Estonia I hate with every ounce of my toxic heart, not just because it spat on the morals and teachings of modern civilization, but also because it lacked logic. By that I mean the characters in it are dumb, so dumb that I had paid a visit to the original creator of the +18 series to ask if they are still sane. Oh and don't get me started on the fanfics about this hentai, they are mostly focused on derailing the horrible future but they still point out the unlogical mentality of the people in Estonia. A prime example is Alicia.
Sure, people can just excuse her being inexperienced, but I have read so many stories that emphasize her flaws that I can't believe that reason anymore.
Sigh
So, how do I know I'm in Kuroinu? Because I am saving a known side character of the hentai that I shared a mental scar with.
"It is going to be alright. You are safe now. You're safe."
Klaus cried. The man cried blood. After being the punching bag of his father and the Black Dogs for a year, he was mangled beyond recognition, body, and mind.
Yet I could still recognize him from the shattered memories of his normal life.
Oh, you pure enduring soul, this world does not deserve you.
"LUXION.", I called out to my most trusted friend and he came to my side in a bloodied Phantom unit.
"Yes, Leon?"
"Dispose of any evidence of our presence here. Make it look like a crazed monster came by and wiped everyone out."
"Orders received.", In the background, several Sigma Phantoms used their psionics to lay out the scene. At the same time, a specialized medivac decloaked right behind the trio.
The AI tilted down the android's head to Klaus, "I would advise he be treated as we evacuate. My sensors indicate a group of armed men and monsters heading our direction."
My face remained saddened as I stood up with the man who faced a fate worse than death in my arms.
"Rest now, warrior, you've earned it for holding out for this long.", Walking over to the aircraft, my eyes started to burn bright red, "The war is far from over. I promise you this, my brother in misery, tho they laugh now, in the end, they'll scream, plead, and beg."
"We will make sure of it."
~Time Skip~
After giving Klaus to the nurse droids in the infirmary, I can now properly assess my situation.
I am in a foreign land, in enemy territory, and with limited resources.
Nothing the Terrans haven't experienced and prepared for.
The enemies aren't as threatening as the Zerg but only a fool would underestimate them. Tenacity is a trait humans share after all, despite the ones I'm facing being scum.
Then there's my forces.
Whatever of my legion that was transported with me will be enough for a decent start.
The experiment was held on an advanced mobile artificial island station where LUXION does his most risky projects.
So when Drifter blew up, it took a quarter of the station with it and plopped it down on a stone plateau, almost perfectly fitting into the terrain.
Luckily, it was intact enough to serve as a primary base. It had the assemblers for androids and mechs, but the ones for large vehicles required repairs. We even lost a majority of the caste schematics for our forces during the transition, which leaves me with the base designs and only two Raider types. Then there's the problem with our supplies. We have enough to fix the infrastructure of the base and get vital systems online like the cloaking field or research labs, but not sufficient for expansion.
Fortunately, LUXION had saved the blueprints for the advanced M.U.L.E.S. and SCVs in his database. That would help in resource gathering and building significantly since they are twice as effective as their originals.
There are also the units I have available. Most didn't survive the transition but there were plenty enough to guard the base and for small skirmishes.
30 SCVs
42 M.U.L.E.S
57 Android Marines - 30 Anti-Personel / 27 Beast Slayers (1)
20 Mechanized Mauraders - 8 Demolitionists / 12 Beast Slayers (2)
15 High-tech Hellbats - 5 Azure Flames / 10 Dragon Kin (3)
30 Medic Droids - 21 Reconstructors / 9 Mercy Angels (4)
25 Cyber Reapers - 20 Traditions / 5 Speed Demons (5)
10 Phantoms - 5 Sigma Class / 3 Mimics / 2 Mind Flayers (6)
3 Automated Medivacs - 1 Jade Beacon / 2 Camos (7)
1 Hercules - Nemean Caste (8)
10 Ravens - 1 Overwatch / 9 Tactical (9)
33 Raiders - 7 Monster Hunters / 10 Raidens / 3 Deadshots / 12 Guardians / 1 ? (10)
Mhm, maybe a bit more than enough but you can never be too careful, rather be overprepared than under.
Speaking of under.
"Is the geo scanner operational?", I asked LUXION as I micromanaged the ravens through the command table to map the surrounding lands and set up the Overwatch Raven to the most optimal position.
'Indeed, however, the materials we detect are incomparable to the alloys we use. We will require the proper facilities to transmute and refine them to our desired alloy.', Came LUXION's reply in my head.
"Do we have the means to make them?"
'If we are to scrap the factories and starports.'
"Approved.", My replies were short and straight to the point. My mind focused on multitasking many different things, mainly coming up with the best solutions to destroy Vault's Cunt-ry. Most preferably ones that will allow Klaus to enact sweat-delicious karma on his sperm donor, who I refuse to see as his father. My first life's parents may not have been the best, but at least they didn't torture their child with sadistic glee.
At least now, I can pay back all the trauma you've given me when I was forced to watch your 'show' by an ex of mine.
Ooh, the many things I have planned for you, Grave Leviathan.
First, I have to set up my horror tale again for reputation and fear factor. Which should I go for this time? The Hook is already taken so...hunter maybe? Nah, too obvious. Slayer? No, I'm not worthy enough.
"Mmmmmm. What to choose?", I mumbled before a ping caught my attention. One of the Ravens has spotted an island far off to the east coastline under siege by pirates and Black Dog mercenaries.
The island's defenders, soldiers only 100-strong, face the invaders. Oddly, they looked a lot like samurais. Despite how brave they stood and fought, they still inevitably lost.
"Warriors to the end.", I offered them a silent prayer...and then gained an idea immediately after, "Wait a second, this is familiar... Can I even do it? Will it be disrespectful or... He would have probably wanted me to do this. It was his code...but to take on his mantle."
Living in Japan, I have heard many tales involving ...yet there was one that stood out for me. A tale passed down through generations in my family that inspired my vigilante dreams. A dream that intensified upon the release of 'that' game, awakened the warrior spirit inside me. Sure it had broken the traditional samurai honor code but damn was it effective in reminding me that honor alone won't win wars.
...I've made up my mind.
"...LUXION...ready the fabricator."
I walked away from the table and out of the room. Bringing up my HUD I dragged out a file from the drafts folder, then quickly redesigned it for peak effectiveness. The holographic image of the scowling mask of the forsaken legend stared and I felt a weight being added to my shoulders, yet I fully accepted it.
"The winds shall carry your name once again, ancestor, it will echo in the minds of the people, and the savages will once more fear-"
"The Ghost."

~Third Person POV~
It's been 3 months since the invasion of Mitsuru Island. Once a small quiet place in the east, independent from any empire, Mitsuru had been in a state of peace. Until Vult's campaign to expand his empire reached out to their region. Like the rumors and news they heard from the West, these savages pillaged and plundered everything. Homes were burned, families were broken, fathers were slain, sons enslaved, and mothers and daughters were raped in the open.
In just 2 months, the leader of the invaders, Captain ###, became the new ruler of the island. Under his reign, his men were able to do anything they wanted with the people of Mitsuru. The sick things they did, they even forced the rebellious men and boys to watch their sick debauchery.
It was a dark time for the people of Mitsuru. They had lost the will to fight and all hope to take back their home. Whatever resistance that rose was brought down by the sheer numbers of the enemy and the traitorous snakes that only looked out for themselves. They had lost everything...
...then the wind began to speak.
The winds, which the people of Mitsuru believed to carry the messages of the divine and the deceased, whispered a word that they could not comprehend. It was a name, one they could barely hear, and was floating in memory. They did not know why the winds spoke this name over and over until the name was spoken from the mouths of their oppressors and tormentors.
"... did you hear? There's a rebel out there killing scouting parties and raiding caravans."
"Probably some upstart that thinks they can play hero. They'll be caught in a week. Hope it's woman, I like the feisty ones."
"Yeah, me too-"
.
"It's been a week and we've lost ten camps in the south regions."
"I heard everyone stationed there was massacred."
"Massacred? They were butchered. Heads cut off, still screaming."
"Let's get more men and bring out the blunderbusses. I want that bastard dead."
"Did you hear? Anyone who gets the rebel's head gets a ton of money and even an entire night with 'them' all to himself."
"Hah! This will be easy! Come on lads! Let's go hunting!"
""" YEAH!"""
.
"-ill me...please...kill me..."
"T-t-th-at t-hth-thing wasn't human! It's a fucking demon!"
"It cut them all down...all of us...but that thing did kill...it played with us...watching us squirm as we tried to get away."
"-too fast."
"We barely even saw it-"
"The strongholds in the south are completely gone! There wasn't anything left at all!"
.
"THE IS UNDER ATTACK FORTRESS FELL!"
"IT'S HERE! THAT THING'S HERE!"
"-t ATE THEM! IT ATE THEIR FUCKING SOULS I TELL YOU!"
"SHITSHITSHITSHITSHITSHIT! I DID NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS!"
"THEY DIED! IT JUST STARED AT THEM AND THEY FUCKING DIED! BLED FROM THE EYES AND VOMETING THEIR INSIDES!"
.
"IT WON'T GO DOWN! I TOOK A FUCKING CANON TO THE CHEST AND IT STILL WON'T GO DOWN!"
"GET ME OUT OF HERE! I WANT OUT!"
"NO! PLEASE! SPARE ME-AGH!"
"DON'T KILL ME! DON'T- GAUHG!
"AAHH! MERCY! AAAHH-"
.
.
.
The screaming stopped. Nothing could be heard from outside the chamber the prisoners and slaves were put into. There was only darkness and silence.
The doors then opened. They felt the gentle moonlight on their skin, they heard the calming gale, and most of all, they saw who cast a shadow into the room.
The final words of the invaders painted the being before them as some kind of monster, a powerful demon with no mercy and feasts on souls. Yet as they stared back into its white glowing eyes, they felt no fear, they felt no horror, not even discomfort.
Their minds were at ease, clearer than ever before. It is then that they finally understand the whispers of the wind. They now know that this 'monster' the invaders spoke of was only a monster to them.
For what kind of monster would bear the ancient symbol of the first protectors of Mitsuru? How can they forget the twin mountains that guided their ancestors to their new home? So as the wind whispered into their ears, they realized that this was their protector, this is their pillar of hope. The name that once eluded them has now cemented itself into their hearts and souls.
"The Ghost...", A small frail boy whispered as he slowly crawled forward into the light.
"The Ghost...", A skinny man rose from the floor.
"The Ghost...", A violated woman with bruises and scars struggled to move closer.
"...ghost...", A little girl with eyes dead to the world found the will to speak again.
The Ghost was silently staring at the suffering people of Mitsuru. Then, he moves to the side with an arm motioning to the outside world.
"Today and from now on, you are slaves to no one."
The wind grew strong and blew into the room. It was then that they all found the strength to stand, and after a moment, walk forward. Their injuries were slowly healed by the green gale swirled around them. As men, women, and children felt their spirits and bodies renew, the Ghost spoke.
"Mitsuru belongs to the people. When the sun rises again, all will know this truth." The Ghost's eyes glowed even brighter.
As the former prisoners and slaves came out into the open, they saw more of their people. Standing tall, their eyes hardened and burned with such resolve that it began to spread to others. They have endured for long enough, that they will not suffer these invaders anymore. Together, they stand strong, they will fight.
"RECLAIM WHAT YOU HAVE LOST! RECLAIM YOUR HOME! HONOR THE MEMORY OF THE SLAIN INNOCENT! REPAY THE INVADERS THE WRONG THEY HAVE DONE TO YOU! FOR MITSURU!"
"FOR MITSURU! FOR THE GHOST!"
""" FOR MITSURU! FOR THE GHOST!"""
As the people of the island rallied, the Ghost looked up to the moon with a thoughtful look behind the mask, 'I hope you are proud of me, ancestor.'
Unknown to all, a shadowed figure watched him from the shade of the forest. It continued to stare at the Ghost...before nodding its head and merging back into the darkness of the night.
Ello people! It's me again! I'm having trouble finding the right inspiration to add to the next chapter of 'The world of Otome Games is easy for a starcraft gamer' and while I was searching this idea came to mind. So while I am having writer's block for the main story, I will work on this one to regain my creative flame. Anyways, until we meet again! Also, STAND STRONG MY BROTHERS! WE SHALL GET THROUGH THIS CHALLENGE OR FAIL TRYING! ONWARDS! PROVE YOUR WILL IS STRONG!
(1) - Android Marines are the base infantry of Leon's Legion. They come in many forms, each with their specialties. Anti-Personel are to deal with enemy infantry while Beast Slayers are specialized to counter 'beast class' enemies like the monsters back in the Otome Game World.
(2) - The MMs are the same. With demolitionists being the usual Mauraders, albeit being more effective in buildings. The Beast Slayers are the same.
(3) - Then there are Hellbats. Azure Flames are bulkier with two additional flame throwers on their shoulders, their upgraded flames make them effective to both infantry and armor.
(4) - With the army mostly composed of mechanized units, reconstructors were made to fix and even rebuild any mechanical unit. Mercy Angels are androids with flight capabilities and can heal biological targets. Leon is prepared for every occasion.
(5) - Traditionals are traditional reapers, being able to jump over terrain and being fast. Now the speed demons maximize on speed. They are twice as fast as a regular reaper and can attack while moving. They use a mine launcher instead of Gauss pistols for quick and explosive hit-and-run tactics.
(6) - If you've read the main story, then you know who they are along with the Sigma Class. Mimics are specialized Phantoms who can take on the form of anyone they meet thanks to nanotechnology and when aided by the Mindflayers, who successfully extract every ounce of information on a target and are masters of psionic mental manipulation, they can successfully impersonate someone with no errors, down to even their smallest habits.
(7) - Jade Beacon are medivacs that have no carrying capacity but can heal the damage of both mechanical and organic units. They can heal all the units within their range at the same time. Camos are medivacs that can cloak, making them the perfect extraction and deployment vehicles, but if they heal, the cloak will disappear.
(8) - Hercules are chunky enough to tank enough damage to deploy their load of units, however with the Nemean Caste, they can endure twice as much damage and regenerate even when under attack.
(9) - Tacticals are Ravens who can cloak indefinitely but lose the ability a normal raven has. While Overwatch Ravens are satellites with a wide observation range, usually deployed in orbit of a planet.
(10) - Ah, the Raiders. The most versatile amongst the Legion. The monster hunters specialize in dealing with larger-than-life monsters, raidens are the twin sword close combat specialists with lightning speed, dead shots can deal death from away in many different ways, and Guardians are Raiders specialized to protect and crowd control with their seismic hammers that cause massive shockwaves and energy barriers to protect the more fragile units. ? is a secret.
