Prologue: Nimona's Invite from the City Council
*Takes place one week after the events from the movie Premiere*
Inside the abandoned tower, Ballistar and Nimona are both hanging out in their lair while keeping an eye out on the KTV News for any updates. So far, after reading the news headlines, the people in the Kingdom are making big changes inside their city. Ever since the Director is out of the picture, most of the Knights of the Institute have been reorganized into the Knightly Order of the Red Phoenix, much to Nimona's excitement; they said it was one of the decrees they made to honor Nimona of her recent heroism.
Other than that, it wasn't long before Nimona had a good long talk with Ambrosius and his knights right after she was reunited with Ballistar. After telling him Nimona's story with Gloreth, the Knights relayed all that to the City Council. In response to Nimona's story dating back 1,000 years ago, they had no choice but to demote Ambrosius from Captain to Lt. after being deceived by their ancestors, on the same day when the Order of the Red Phoenix is founded. Even though Ambrosius is no longer hailed as a hero, he still continued to serve the Knights of the Red Phoenix in order to atone for his false assumptions with Nimona.
Even since Ballistar found out that he was set up by the Director and that Nimona was anything but a monster after learning the truth between her and Gloreth 1,000 years back, he couldn't come up with anymore reasons of becoming a Knight no more. However, now that Ballistar is cleared from his false crimes against the Queen and that he and Nimona are now hailed as heroes for toppling the corrupted Director of the Institute, he now serves the Kingdom as a mercenary-for-hire of the Order of the Red Phoenix.
As of today, Nimona is seen pan-frying broccoli and fish for lunch while Ballistar is on the computer checking his email inboxes for anyone requesting aid from him and Nimona. So far, Ballistar felt a bit relieved that there has been no dangerous activity going on in the Kingdom, not after the Director nearly decimated the city with one of the Huge Laser Cannons.
"Hey boss. Lunch is ready!" Nimona grinned as she brought out one plate of fried broccoli and the second plate of fish to the table.
"Oh, thanks!" Ball replied as he got of his computer and went to his dinning table.
Just as they both sat down and ate, Nimona made a cheerful squeal as she made a little scene on the table.
"Ooooo, where's the little fish! Here fishy, fishy, fishy! Time to get snagged and eaten!" Nimona cackled as she held a piece of the fried fish tail by her right hand. "The only wish to catch a fish! SO JUICY SWEEET!"
In annoyance, Ball sees Nimona hold the fish up high above her mouth as her teeth turned razor sharp as a shark. Speaking of which, Nimona turned into a shark as she dropped the fish tail down straight into her jaws as she make one big gulp.
"Really Nimona?!" Ball muttered in embarrassment.
Just as Ball ate a few pieces of Broccoli, he and Nimona heard a knock on the door. Hearing this, Nimona immediately turned back into a teenage girl before getting off her seat to get the door.
The moment Nimona opened the door, Sir Todd is standing right outside the front porch.
"Well, if it isn't the punch-able face guy!" Nimona jeered as she showed him her sharp teeth.
"It's Sir Thaddeus, young lady!" Todd replied, feeling startled by such a startling gesture. "Anyway, Nimona isn't it? Well, you have an invite from the City Council!"
"Oooooh, what could it be? More mayhem! More drama! More chaos! I can't wait to see myself riding all over the sky like a dragon flying on the horizon!" Nimona said in a hyperactive tone of voice. The next thing Todd knew is that Nimona grinned at him as she stared at the nervous Knight with a maniacal look in her eyes.
"Easy there kid!" Todd said as he anxiously backed away from the obnoxious teenager as he handed a small envelope to Nimona. "They said that they wanted to you to help them clarify some of the historical documents that are suspected to be false."
"Is that so?!" Nimona snicked as she continued to stare at Todd with her creepy ventriloquist grin.
Todd couldn't help but freak out from the inside just be seeing Nimona as if she were to be a scary-looking dummy from a child's horror story. As she took the envelope from Todd's hands, her right hand turned into a small eagle's claw before she rips out its top. After her hand changes back, Nimona takes out a small letter from the open envelope before reading it.
In a few minutes of reading, Ballister finished his lunch before walking up to Nimona to see what she and Todd are both doing.
"Hey bro. I just came by here to talk to your sidekick about a meeting requested by the City Council." Todd said as he sees Ball approaching towards Nimona.
"Oh really?! I hope you don't try anything stupid again." Ballister said sternly as he still haven't forgotten how Todd and his men appeared right outside of their hideout last week.
"Trust me, bro I know what I'm doing. Since I'm no longer under the command of the Director and that Ambrosius stepped down from his commanding position, it will be awhile before the City Council will nominate one of our best knights as the new Commanding officer." Todd replied with satisfactory. "For me, I'm still not worthy for any promotion yet since I didn't receive that much honors like Ambrosius did; of course that was before they demoted him."
Just as soon as she is done reading the letter sent to her by the City Council, Nimona takes a deep breath before facing Todd again.
"It seems that they still need my help to rewrite their so-called historic documents. Well then, I guess I still have yet to finish my storytelling..."
"Remember Nimona, the City Council is now taking charge of the Kingdom since the Director is gone. So, I expect from you to be on your best behavior with them, please!" Ball suggested to Nimona. "They're not going to like it if you start scaring their pants off like that!"
"Oh puh-leeze! What is so great about storytelling if there is no drama, mayhem, and terror? I like to hear them scream like bats running amok and out of hell!" Nimona laughed as she raised her arms with her fists up to the ceiling as if she was acting like King Kong.
Speaking of King Kong, Nimona excitedly turned into a red gorilla while still holding her hands up high, making Todd almost all backwards out of fright. Apparently, Todd still did his best to keep his posture despite seeing such an energetic shape-shifter scaring the daylights out of him.
"Nimona, can we just go already?" Ball said, feeling embarrassed in seeing his sidekick continue to freak out Todd.
"Sure thing, boss!" Nimona huffed as she turned back into a human teen.
With Nimona walking ahead towards the city, Todd watched before turning his attention towards Ball.
"Is she always this wild and out of whack?" Todd asked Ball, mentioning to him about Nimona's chaotic ego.
"Todd, you have no idea how much crazy imaginations are going on inside her head!" Ballister said as he and Todd leave the hideout before catching up with Nimona.
