Especially Skilled at Resisting Torture

Day 2

Men: Cato, Gary, Joe, Killua, Kirito, Kyon, Lucian, Mayuri, Prussia, Spike

Women: Alice, Ami, Haruhi, Jasmine, Karen, Konata, Michiru, Mine, Misty, Sabrina

Killua wakes up early and goes over to tend the fire. He looks over at everyone else, still sleeping in the shelter.

"We've got four others with me on one side, and five others on the other," he says. "The five of us want to work with the Women and see what we can do. The five of them are anti-Women and opposed to any type of collaborating with them. This is going to be a delicate line. Does anyone risk getting voted out by jumping to one side or the other? Or do we have a five-five split vote?"

Later that morning, everyone is up and about, and various groups begin talking. These include Sabrina, Jasmine, Killua, and Joe.

"We're with you all the way," Jasmine says. "We want to work with you."

"Absolutely," Sabrina says. "We can't vote with you, but we can influence your tribemates to vote on your side."

"It's good to hear that," Joe says.

"Yeah, everything needs to be on the table," Killua says. "If you need an idol, we can buy one and give it to you, if necessary. What our goal should be is to make sure we're convincing the other tribe to keep those of us here around."

Sabrina nods. "How is your alliance looking?" she asks. "Are you going to make it through the first vote?"

"Not sure," Killua replies. "We've got a clear split. There's five people who absolutely hate you guys – Lucian, Cato, Gary… who are the other two again?"

"Uh… Spike…" Joe says, "and Kyon."

"Right," Killua says. "It's hard to remember twenty people's names at this point."

"No problem," Jasmine says.

"Anyway," Killua says, "we are in a tight position here. I know that Kirito, Mayuri, and Prussia are with us. But Prussia's kind of weak, and Mayuri is an enigma. We are in quite some trouble here."

"How about you guys?" Joe asks.

"We are safe," Sabrina says. "We've got six – Jasmine and I, along with Ami, Michiru, Misty, and Karen. We've got this buddy system working where pairs of us stay together at all times, in order to hold each other accountable."

"Be careful," Killua warns. "All it takes is one person to flip, and you're picking rocks. For us, we're probably picking rocks first thing."

"Okay," Jasmine says.

"From what I get, this first vote is going to be crucial, for both tribes," Killua says. "We've got to make sure that we get through the first vote unscathed. That's probably going to take rocks for us. It's not an easy start."

"We have to be on our toes since we've only got six," Sabrina says. "That isn't enough to split the votes for an idol. We need at least seven for that. Oh, I can't believe I'm talking about idols and split votes! This is so different from the past. This time I feel like I've got the chance to win this game. It's so fun talking endgame!"

Gary, meanwhile, is talking with Misty and Karen.

"Can I talk to you alone?" Gary asks Misty.

"I would, but we've got this buddy system going on," Misty says.

"Buddy system?" Gary wonders.

"Yeah, it's a stupid thing Sabrina thought of, or maybe stole off Boston Bob," Karen says.

"Basically, each of us has to be with one of the others in our alliance at all times," Misty says.

"Even to take a dump?" Gary asks.

Karen and Misty look at each other and chuckle. "Even to take a dump," they say in unison.

"Wow," Gary says. "Well, I guess you're privy to what I'm going to say, Karen. Misty, I apologize so much for what went on in Crazy Second Chance."

"What went on?" Misty asks.

"You know, when I outed Ash."

"Oh, you didn't out him! He was just taken by surprise."

"I know, but I didn't want to make that my Survivor legacy. I don't want to be another Varner."

"It's okay, it really is."

Gary nods. "Thank you, Misty. Now, that doesn't mean I'll be voting with you."

"Voting with me?" Misty wonders. "We're not going to merge or anything, so you'll never have the chance to vote for me."

"Silly," Karen breaks in. "There's still a lot going on between the two tribes."

"What do you mean?" Misty asks.

Karen laughs. "This is one way to tell that you've never played far into this game," she says. "There's so much endgame thinking involved in making cross-tribe alliances."

"And that is…?"

"Well, for one thing, if we make an alliance with some of the Men, we can help influence their votes," Karen says.

"Exactly," Gary says. "And the same with us. We want to influence which of you goes home."

Misty shakes her head. "I still don't get it."

"Look, Misty," Gary says. "Our goal is to have you Women lose challenges, to get us further in the game."

"And we want the same from the Men," Karen says. "We want them as weak as possible. Also, we want to have Men on the jury who will vote for us at the end."

"Mmm-hmm," Gary says. "If we were to work together, then theoretically we'd vote for each other depending on who made it to the end."

"But we don't want to all go to the Final Three, because then that takes away a jury vote," Karen says. "So, I'd want Gary to get cut loose just shy of the Final Three."

Misty nods. "I get it. So, you're going to vote with us, right, Gary?"

Gary looks shocked. "I never said that!" he exclaims. "In fact, I said the opposite!"

"Oh, come on, work with us here," Karen says, nudging Gary with her elbow. "Now that you've revealed all your secrets, you might as well."

Gary shrugs. "I guess so," he laughs. "Fine, I'll try to work with you guys. Tell me, who do you want gone?"

"Lucian," Karen immediately replies.

Breaking out into laughs, Gary slaps his legs. "Oh, okay, I see what you did there," he says. "Lucian and Cynthia – they're so snazzy together. And your goal is to break them up. I get it."

"It's more than that," Karen says. "It's cause he's such a…"

Karen looks surprised when she sees Lucian walks right up to the three of them.

"I'm such a what?" Lucian asks.

"Hey, we were just talking about trying to influence the other tribe on who to vote out," Karen says.

"Well, sorry to say, but Gary is in an alliance with me."

"He is?"

"Yeah, we kind of banded together after you guys won the challenge," Gary says. "I don't know what to call us, but we were furious about you Women beating us."

"Just call us the Woman Haters," Lucian says.

"Woman Haters, huh?" Karen says. "Okay. I kind of like that, actually."

"What?" Misty says. "But they-"

Karen ignores Misty. "Tell you what, you each give me a Fire Token, and I'll make our cross-tribe alliance official."

"Oh, sure, you're trying to get stuff off us now?" Lucian says. "Give me a break. I'm cutting off negotiations."

"Let's not cut them off yet," Gary says. "Here, I'll give you one."

He hands over a Fire Token to Karen, who pockets it happily.

"Good," Karen says. "Now vote out… I don't know, who do you want out, Misty?"

Misty looks surprised. "You're asking me?"

"Yeah, if I can't have Lucian out, I don't know who I want out."

"Gotcha," Misty says. "Uh, who's part of the Woman Haters?"

"It's the two of us, plus Spike, Cato, and Kyon," Lucian says.

"Okay," Misty says. "Then go after… either Mayuri or Prussia."

"Got it," Gary says.

The players go to walk away, before Lucian stops them.

"Wait a minute," Lucian says. "Shouldn't we also get our word in to you about who to vote out?"

"Okay, then," Karen says. "Who?"

"Sabrina," Lucian says. "My Queen Cynthia hates her."

"Yeah, Sabrina," Gary says. "She's insanely dangerous in this game. She's smart, she's strategic… and she's got such a good story. Voted out first twice, left for dead, gets a third chance… what a story she has."

Misty shakes her head. "Sorry, she's part of our alliance," she says. "That's why we have this buddy system going."

"We'll think about it, though," Karen says.

"You two take care," Misty says. "Even if you are Woman Haters, you seem pretty nice to us."

"Just don't think we'll take it easy on you," Karen says, as she and Misty walk away.

"We had successful negotiations today with the Women," Lucian says. "Yeah, I hate most of them, but the two that we talked to are definitely worth working with. We want them to go after the head of the snake – Sabrina. She is so dangerous out here, and we need her out of here sooner than later."

"I'm not sure what to do yet with the suggestions Misty gave us," Gary says. "Obviously we're going to vote along alliance lines. But does that necessarily mean that I want Prussia or Mayuri out? No, there may be more dangerous players out there amongst the other three. We'll see how this goes."

"I hate Lucian, and I don't like Gary," Karen says. "But we could use their help in getting our way over in the Men Tribe. The problem is, the people we want out are not the same people they want out. In other words, I'd rather have a strong guy like Cato out first. But they're aligned with him, so that's a nonstarter. Oh well, at least I got this extra Fire Token. I wonder what I'll do with it…"

Kyon talks with Haruhi and Konata, getting more and more frustrated as he does.

"So, you're telling me that you came out here not for the money, not for the game, not for the competition… what then did you come out here for?"

"To hang out!" Haruhi exclaims. "I don't know why you want to be such a spoilsport!"

"Yeah, Haruhi and I just want to have fun!" Konata adds.

"But you're starving… no, I'm starving," Kyon says. "We have such little rice to feed twenty people with. How can you find this fun?"

"Oh, come on, Kyon!" Haruhi says. "You just don't know how to have fun, do you?"

"What about strategy?" Kyon asks. "Do you care about winning this game?"

"That would be nice, but we don't really need it," Konata says.

"Yeah, who cares about that?" Haruhi says. "Let's just live it up out here."

Kyon simply facepalms.

"Haruhi has me frustrated – story of my life," Kyon says. "She's running around with Konata like a couple of children on Christmas morning. She doesn't want to even talk strategy. It may end up biting her in the butt, but chances are, it'll bite me in the butt first. I have luck that bad. I can't say I wouldn't be upset about her getting voted out early."

Cato, meanwhile, makes his position clear to Spike, Mayuri, and Prussia.

"I didn't come here to lose to these Women," he says. "My purpose here is to wipe them out, one by one. We're going to win all the challenges. And if we don't – whoever's fault it is, they shall pay."

"Got it," Spike says.

"Sounds awesome!" Prussia says.

"Should we experiment with our lineups for the challenges?" Mayuri says.

"What do you mean?" Cato asks.

"Figure out which ones of us are better for strength challenges, and which ones are better for puzzle challenges."

Cato nods his head. "Makes sense."

"Well, I'm more of the puzzle type," Spike says. "Mayuri is too. Joe doesn't have much physical strength. He should be a puzzle guy."

"And I am definitely awesome at puzzles!" Prussia says.

"The rest of our tribe are strong physically," Mayuri says. "So, we experiment with which ones of us should go with each other in challenges similar to Schmergen Brawl."

"I see," Spike says.

"We don't even know what challenges there will be, though!" Prussia says.

"Right," Cato says. "Let's hold off on doing that until we get to the challenges."

"You're just wasting time!" Mayuri says. "We should experiment all we can!"

"You don't know what you're talking about," Cato replies. "This may be the greatest social experiment, but it's not a place for us to start fooling around with who goes where. Cut it out with the experimenting stuff, or my first experiment might be to get rid of you."

Mayuri clams up, looking a bit upset.

"Cato has clearly drawn a line in the sand," Mayuri says. "He has taken full control of this tribe. Wouldn't it be an interesting experiment to vote him off first and then see what happens?"

Alice and Mine clear the air with each other.

"Hey, you," Alice says, pointing at Mine. "I know we got off on the wrong foot, but I want to say – I'm not a nasty person. I just stand up for what I believe in. I feel like you and me could do well as a team."

Mine nods. "It's not easy for me to forgive, but I can forget," she says. "So, I'll try to move on with you without talking about our previous squabble."

"Speaking of squabbles, mine is with Sabrina," Alice says. "How dare she try to chain us up by doing this buddy system thing! She has left you and me and Haruhi and Konata out in the cold. We can't stand for that!"

"I agree," Mine says. "But how are we going to get a majority at the vote? She's got six. We've got four."

"All we need is to flip one person," Alice says. "We just need to find the right one."

"Alice is actually making sense this time around," Mine says. "The two of us could actually make a good pair, believe it or not, because of our previous time together and the fact that we've ironed out our differences. But who are we going to flip? The Pokémon people seem to be rock solid. So do Ami and Michiru. I just don't see a way by this wall that Sabrina has built."

Ami and Michiru, meanwhile, discuss the issue of the Medallion of Power.

"Since the Men lost, they get the option of buying the Medallion of Power," Ami says.

"That's right," Michiru replies. "But will they buy it?"

"I'm not sure they're smart enough to buy it," Ami says. "They may be too arrogant to spend their Fire Tokens on it."

"And if so, do we buy it?" Michiru says.

"We have to," Ami says. "This is a team game. We need to do everything we can do to stay ahead as a team."

As they are talking, Killua and Kirito come over to them.

"Here's a way to find out," Michiru says. "Killua… Kiri… what do you call yourself again?"

"Kirito," Kirito replies.

"Okay, Kirito," Michiru says. "Are you guys planning on buying the Medallion of Power?"

Killua and Kirito look at each other and shrug.

"We're not sure yet," Kirito says.

"Yeah, the trouble is that it costs five Tokens and we've got to get five of us together to make that decision," Killua says. "We do have an alliance of five, but I'm not sure if everyone wants to use their one remaining Token."

Joe walks over to them as they are talking.

"What's up?" he says.

"Ami here is trying to figure out whether we're going to use the Medallion of Power," Killua says. "And I was telling her, I don't know, because we'd have to get five people to hand over a Token."

"I'd throw mine in the hat," Joe says. "But I don't know about everybody else."

"Perhaps it would make more sense to not buy it for the first challenge," Ami says. "That way, you get some Tokens to stash away."

"I'm not sure about that," Michiru says, with Ami glaring at her. "You want to use any advantage that you get."

"Michiru is proving to be a moron," Ami says. "I'm here trying to talk the Men into not buying the Medallion of Power, and here she is trying to mess that up. I want them to not buy it, so we can buy it, and begin our dominance in this game. Michiru is undercutting everything I'm trying to do."

"Well, we'll talk it over," Killua says.

"I guess you'll find out at the challenge, whether we buy it or not," Kirito says.

"Sounds good!" Michiru says, waving as the three walk away.

"I like these boys," Michiru says. "They're kind, they're smart, they're cool. I want to work with them – get them to eliminate physical threats like Cato first, to make it easier on us at challenges. Of course, we've got to win challenges first, and there are never any gimmes in this game."

Immunity Challenge

"Come on in, guys!"

The twenty players trudge over to the immunity challenge, which is a large grass field with two nets, one at each side of the field.

"You guys ready to get to your first immunity challenge?" Jet asks.

"Of course!" Konata yells.

"First off… the immunity idol," Jet says.

Jet pulls a cloth off from a statue of Ranma Saotome from Ranma ½.

"This is what you seek. With it, you cannot be voted out. Without it, you could be. With no individual immunity challenges, this is the only way to earn safety."

"I have a question," Konata says.

"Yes, what's that, Konata?" Jet replies.

"Why is it a statue of Ranma?"

"Well, because Ranma was half boy, half girl, and we've got half our players as Men and half as Women."

"Got it," Konata says.

"As I said before, for this season of Survivor, we are only playing team challenges, due to the no-merge format. Also, we are playing many Olympic sports. In this case, our first immunity challenge will be the game known as soccer in America."

"Or football everywhere else," Alice says.

"Of course. Now, there are some ground rules I'm laying out here," Jet says. "First, although a soccer game is played with eleven players per team, but we only have ten players per tribe here. So, you will have to adjust your formations accordingly. A 4-4-2 lineup may have to be a 4-4-1 lineup."

"Got it," Misty says.

"We will not be playing to any time limit," Jet explains further. "Instead, we will be playing until one team scores three goals. First tribe to score three goals wins immunity, safe at tonight's Tribal Council, where you will eat peanuts as you watch the Tribal proceedings. Losers, Tribal Council, where one of you will be the first one voted out of this game. And no peanuts for you."

"Sounds good," Joe says.

"Now, since the Men lost the previous challenge, they get the right to buy the Medallion of Power at this challenge. After this, only immunity challenges will be counted towards the right to buy the Medallion of Power. Any reward challenges will not have an effect on the Medallion of Power. So, Men, do you want to buy the Medallion of Power?"

The players look over at each other.

"What advantage does it give us?" Kirito asks.

"A permanent power play," Jet responds. "You will get to select one player from the opposing tribe, who must sit out the entire challenge."

Kirito, Killua, and Joe each pull out a Token, but none of the others do.

"We've got only three," Killua says.

"That's not enough, you need five," Jet states.

"Come on, someone pitch in!" Kirito says to his tribemates.

"Sorry," Kyon says.

"I want to save mine, or even eat it," Spike says.

"I'd like to do some experimenting with my Token," Mayuri says.

"Yeah, we don't really need a power play," Cato says.

Killua and Kirito shake their heads. "Looks like we don't have the Tokens to buy it," Killua states.

"Very well then," Jet states. "That means that the right to the Medallion of Power goes over to the Women. Would you like to buy the Medallion of Power?"

"We want it, don't we?" Michiru says to Ami.

"Yeah, we need it," Sabrina says. "I'm willing to throw in a Token."

"So am I," Jasmine says.

"You've got mine too," Michiru says.

Misty reaches into her pocket and pulls out a Token. "Sure, I'll bite," she says.

"Hey, I want in on this too!" Konata exclaims, pulling out a Token.

Jet grins. "That's five, and it is enough. The Medallion of Power goes over to the Women."

Jet hands over the Medallion of Power to Ami.

"With this, you may choose one player from the other tribe to sit out this challenge."

"That's an easy one," Ami says. "Cato."

Cato curses under his breath.

"And why him?" Jet asks.

"He's obviously the strongest person on their tribe," Michiru says. "Taking him out really helps us out."

"Very well then," Jet says. "Cato, take a spot on the bench."

Cato gives the Women the finger as he walks over to the sit-out bench.

"I'll give you a minute to strategize, then we'll get started."

The two tribes discuss who should be their goalie.

"I think we should go with Sabrina," Misty suggests.

"And why her?" Mine asks.

"She has proven herself as especially skilled at resisting torture," Misty says. "She can handle being in net too."

"I have no problem with that," Sabrina replies. "Unfortunately, I'm not allowed to use my psychic powers, or I'd always know where the ball was going. But I still believe I can handle this."

"Okay," Alice says. "Let's go win it!"

The Men are having an argument over their goaltender.

"I should be in net!" Mayuri exclaims.

"No, me!" Prussia says. "I'm awesome at goal!"

"How about Spike?" Killua suggests. "He seems to be the best built player for taking on that job."

"I'm not sure," Spike replies.

"And why not?" Killua asks.

"I don't know," Spike responds. "I guess I just don't feel like it."

Killua's mouth drops open. "Here, I'll do it," Joe suggests. "I'm a little used to this by now."

"Fine then," Killua says, throwing his arms up. "We're going with Joe, then."

The players then take their positions out on the soccer field.

"For immunity! Survivors ready? Go!"

Jasmine kicks the ball back to Karen, who passes over to Misty. Misty almost gets into a collision with Killua as she passes the ball upfield to Konata.

"I'm open, I'm open!" Haruhi calls.

Konata tries a through pass to Haruhi, but it gets picked off by Spike. Spike taps the ball over to Killua, who kicks it down to Mayuri. Mayuri tries a long shot toward the net, but he misses badly, and the ball goes out of bounds across the goal line.

"Goal kick to the Women!" Jet shouts.

"What was that?" Lucian asks Mayuri.

"I was just experimenting with my shot!" Mayuri replies.

Sabrina kicks the ball out, and Karen gets possession. She passes over to Michiru, who kicks it over to Ami. Ami then tries a long pass to Alice, but it gets intercepted by Prussia.

"Look at that! Wasn't it awesome?" Prussia says.

But Prussia misses a hard-charging Karen, and the two of them collide as the ball goes flying. Jet immediately comes running over to them as the others try to help them up off the ground.

"Yellow card for Hip Koopa!" Jet exclaims.

"Huh?" Gary says.

"I mean, yellow card for Prussia!" Jet shouts.

"What the *$#%?" Cato yells from the bench. "That was all on Karen! Prussia did nothing wrong!"

"You cannot be serious!" Killua shouts.

"That's a horrible call," Kyon murmurs.

"Free kick for the Women from this spot," Jet announces.

Jet places the ball down, then uses a spray can to spray paint around the location of the ball. He then sprays a line a bit in front of the ball.

"If you want to build a wall, you can't step beyond this line," he says.

Kyon, Spike, Gary, and Lucian line up as the wall.

"Go!" Jet yells.

Karen kicks the ball right toward the wall, but with a bit of backspin. The four Men are unable to stop the ball as it careens toward their goal.

"It's going in!" Alice exclaims.

But at the last second, Joe dives and tips the ball, and it rolls out of bounds.

"Nice save, Joe!" Kirito calls.

Jet grabs the ball, then runs it over to the corner of the field, where there is a quarter-circle painted on the field.

"Women get a corner kick!" Jet announces.

Konata runs over to take the kick, with Ami facepalming as she does.

"No! We need someone good to take this kick!" Ami yells.

"I am good!" Konata shouts.

It is too late for Ami's plea, as Konata sets up to kick the ball. She aims it right toward Haruhi, who is standing a few yards in front of Joe's net.

"Oh, I wish I could score a goal!" Haruhi says.

"Here goes nothing!" Konata screams, as she kicks the ball.

The ball curves as it travels in the air, heading right toward Haruhi's head. Haruhi uses her head to redirect the ball toward Joe's net, and the ball makes it past Joe's outstretched left hand.

"Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooal!" Jet shouts.

Haruhi leaps into the air and is caught by a shocked Mine. The rest of the girls rush over to grab her, including Konata who pulls her down and tackles her, rolling to the ground in celebration.

"I knew you had it in you!" Konata exclaims.

"I'm so happy!" Haruhi shouts.

Mine is unimpressed. "Is this for real?" she asks.

"Okay, ball goes back to center and starts out in possession of the Men," Jet says, as he carries the ball and puts it in place. "Survivors ready? Go!"

Killua kicks it back to Kirito, who kicks it over to Spike. Spike looks on Kyon's direction, but changes his mind at the last moment and kicks it over to Gary. Gary gives it to Lucian, who passes over to Prussia.

"Lots of teamwork with the Men right now!" Jet exclaims. "They're really spreading the ball around!"

Prussia kicks it long down the left side of the field, but there is no one home. Sabrina goes over and kicks it as hard as she can back downfield.

"Get it!" Karen shouts. "Get it! Get it!"

"Jumpball!" Konata exclaims, as she leaps up to hit the ball with her head and push it further downfield. Unfortunately for her, Mayuri is there to gather in the loose ball.

"Now… time to experiment!" Mayuri says.

He kicks the ball backwards, right to Joe. Joe is barely able to stop the ball from going into his own net, but he gets possession before the ball can cross the line.

"What the *$#% are you doing, Mayuri?" Cato yells from the bench.

"Yeah, I don't get it," Joe says, as Gary helps him get up.

"Just an experiment!" Mayuri says.

"Here's an experiment!" Gary says, punching Mayuri on top of his head Three Stooges-style.

Joe punts the ball back down the field, where Lucian gets possession. Lucian jukes Ami out of her shoes, then he passes over to Killua. Killua kicks toward the top left corner of the net, and Sabrina leaps to deflect it away.

"So close for the Men!" Jet shouts.

The ball went out of bounds across the goal line, so the Men get a free kick. There is a bit of a discussion over who should take the kick.

"Go ahead, take it," Killua tells Spike.

"No," Spike replies.

"No?" Lucian says.

"I don't really feel like it," Spike says.

"Fine, then, I'll take it," Kirito says.

He goes to the corner and sets the ball up. He then follows through and kicks it.

"Get it!" Konata exclaims.

But as Konata leaps for it, Kyon leaps higher. He is able to deflect the ball with his head, and it caroms to Sabrina's right side. Sabrina gets a finger on the ball but cannot fully stop it, and it goes into the net.

"Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooal!" Jet shouts.

Kyon gives a high five to Lucian and Gary, while Killua congratulates Kirito on a great corner kick.

"We are tied, 1-1!" Jet says, as he puts the ball back at center field.

Misty takes the ball from center field and passes over to Jasmine. She kicks it over to Karen, who kicks it over to Michiru. Michiru tries getting the ball to Ami, but Prussia collides into Ami as she tries to collect the pass.

"That's not right!" Karen yells.

Jet comes running over to the collision, and he immediately throws up his hand. First, he shows a yellow card, then he shows a red card.

"You are being sent off, Prussia!" Jet shouts. "You have been kicked out of this challenge! If Probst were keeping track, he would say that you are the first person in Survivor history to be kicked out of a challenge."

"Of course, that's not true," Prussia says.

"It doesn't matter," Jet says. "Take a spot on the bench."

Prussia heads over to sit on the bench next to Cato. Cato distances himself from Prussia as he takes his seat.

"Free kick from that spot to the Women!" Jet shouts.

Misty lines up to take the free kick. She looks over at an open Michiru, but instead decides to boot it downfield toward the net with all her might. Her kick goes awry, and it trickles out of bounds past the goal line.

"Goal kick for the Men!" Jet says.

Joe lines up the ball to kick it downfield. He kicks it over many of the players' heads, to a wide-open Killua. But as the last line of defense, Alice is able to kick the ball away from him before he can score.

"Nice play by Alice there!" Jet announces.

Sabrina takes possession of the ball and kicks it down to Mine. Mine sets it up and looks for Misty. She then fires a pass right towards her. Misty deftly gathers in the pass, then kicks it away to Jasmine at the last moment. Jasmine does not hesitate as she kicks the ball toward the net, putting in in the right corner of the net, where Joe has no chance at stopping it.

"Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooal!" Jet yells.

Haruhi and Konata rush over to Jasmine and tackle her in celebration, while Mine and Alice give high fives to each other.

"The Women have the lead, 2-1!" Jet shouts. "One more goal wins it for the Women!"

"Come on, girls!" Sabrina calls from her net.

Killua kicks the ball off center field, and off go the Men with their offense. After an exciting spurt to the challenge, the game falls into a rut of sorts, much like a real-life soccer game. Neither team can get any offense going, and every through pass gets broken up before any shot can be attempted.

"We're staying here until someone scores three!" Jet taunts. "Better score now if you want to finish before dark!"

Haruhi gets possession of the ball and tries making a one-Woman charge right at the goal. She gets her shot away…

… and misses badly. Her shot doesn't even get on net, and it goes out of bounds for a goal kick.

"Haruhi, how about some teamwork?" Misty calls.

Joe boots the ball downfield, and Kirito gets possession. He passes over to Killua, who passes to Kyon. Kyon wisely kicks it back to Killua when some Women surround him. Killua then passes to Spike, who passes to Gary. Gary takes a long shot, but one that curls in such a way that Sabrina cannot save it.

"Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooal!" Jet screams. "We are tied! 2-2!"

Jet brings the ball back to center, where Misty goes to take possession.

"We are now in golden goal territory!" Jet exclaims. "The next tribe to score wins immunity, guaranteed 1-in-19 shot at winning this game!"

"Wow, those are some odds," Ami murmurs.

Misty kicks the ball back to Jasmine, and she kicks it over to Michiru. Michiru pauses for a second, then finds Ami open for a pass down the field. Ami kicks it over to Karen, who kicks to Mine. Mine tries a shot from long range…

… and misses. Joe takes the ball with the goal kick and boots it downfield.

"Let's get this thing down here!" Killua shouts.

Kirito passes to Lucian, and he passes to Gary. Gary kicks the ball over to Spike, who finds Kyon open. Kyon then sees a gap in which to feed the ball to Killua. He kicks it into the gap, and Killua gets possession. But before Killua can kick it away, Karen trips him to the ground by slew footing him.

"That's a penalty!" Kirito cries.

Jet comes rushing over to Killua, who gets up off the ground.

"You okay?" he asks him.

"Yeah, I'm fine," Killua says.

"As for Karen, that's a yellow card," Jet says. "But more importantly, it's a penalty shot."

"You've got to be beeping me," Sabrina complains from goal.

"Hey, I was playing defense," Karen says.

Jet grabs the ball and places it on a spot several yards in front of Sabrina and the net.

"Killua will have the opportunity to kick this penalty shot," Jet explains. "If he makes it, the game is over. If he doesn't make it, it's a live ball and play continues. Go on ahead, Killua."

Killua steps up to the spot, looking over at Sabrina.

"You better not be using your psychic powers," Killua complains.

"Don't worry, they're being constricted by the psychic producers," Sabrina replies.

Killua lines up his shot, then kicks it along the ground to the left.

"Killua makes it!" Jet shouts. "Sabrina dived to the opposite side! And that's it! Men… win immunity!"

Killua stands still, with both fists clenched tight to his side. "Let's go!" he shouts. "Let's go!"

Kirito, Gary, and Lucian all immediately embrace him, and Joe comes running from the opposite goal to congratulate him. Mayuri shakes hands with Kyon and Spike, while Cato pumps his fists from the bench.

"Congratulations, Men, this is for you."

Killua and Joe rush over to the golden statue of Ranma and grab it. The whole tribe gathers around the idol and start jumping up and down.

"I believe that we will win!" they start chanting. "I believe that we will win!"

"Women, I got nothing for you," Jet states. "One of you will be the first person voted out of Survivor: Crazy Game Changers. You've got tonight to figure out who that's gonna be. You can all head back to camp, I'll see you tonight for Tribal."

The Men take the Ranma idol along with them as they head back to camp, while the Women trudge back alongside them. As they go, Sabrina whispers a name in Misty's ear.

"I can't believe it," Ami says. "We lost despite using the Medallion of Power. If that's an indication on how this season's going to go, we're doomed."

Men: Cato, Gary, Joe, Killua, Kirito, Kyon, Lucian, Mayuri, Prussia, Spike

Women: Alice, Ami, Haruhi, Jasmine, Karen, Konata, Michiru, Mine, Misty, Sabrina

The Women look dejected after going back to camp. Jasmine has her head in her hands, and Misty is shaking her head. The only one to not look depressed is Karen, and for good reason.

"I'll never admit this to anyone, but I completely threw that challenge," Karen says. "At the end, when I got the foul to cause a penalty shot – that was all intentional. I am looking for power, not safety. And that's why I'm buying an extra vote with these four Fire Tokens of mine."

She hands over the four Tokens to a producer, who gives her a piece of parchment in exchange.

"Now I have the chance to make a BIG MOVE, as Probst likes to say," Karen says. "My goal is to betray Sabrina's alliance and blow it up so we don't have to do this buddy system thing anymore. But that takes getting the other four players on board. What if they don't want to vote out a member of Sabrina's alliance? Then I'm not going to have the chance to make a BIG MOVE."

She thinks up a plan to try to get that information.

"Hey, Misty," Karen says.

"Yes, Karen?" Misty replies.

"Let's try to cause some chaos with the people who aren't in our alliance. That way, there's no funny business."

"But they have only four votes," Misty replies. "They can't do anything anyway. Just leave them be."

Karen looks frustrated. "I'm not going to Tribal Council until I've had a talk with Mine and Alice."

"Fine, then," Misty says. "But I'll go with you."

Misty and Karen head over to Mine and Alice, as Mine eats some of the rice that Alice is cooking.

"So, what's going on here?" Karen wonders. "You guys want to get in on our alliance?"

Mine looks grumpy, but Alice obliges. "Sure thing!" she says. "As long as it's not us, you know? Who do you want out? Konata or Haruhi?"

"Who did Sabrina tell you?" Karen asks Misty. "I saw her whisper to you."

Misty sighs. "Fine, then, it's…"

She whispers the name in Karen's ear, and Karen looks surprised. Karen then turns to Alice and Mine.

"Uh… we're voting… uh, out…" Karen says, not wanting to tell who Misty told her.

"Who?" Mine asks.

"We're voting out Konata, and that's final!" Karen says confidently. "Now either join us or prepare to be Pagonged."

"Will do," Mine says.

"Which one?" Misty asks. "The first one or the last one?"

"Both," Mine replies.

Misty simply shakes her head.

"There's nothing I can do to get through to Mine," Misty says. "She is so grumpy with the worst attitude in the world. I don't know what Ais Wallenstein saw in her. She is a pain in the butt and she needs to go as soon as possible."

Meanwhile, Sabrina has Jasmine, Michiru, and Ami gathered together to talk about their vote.

"This is who we're voting for," Sabrina says, whispering the name in Jasmine's ear. Jasmine then whispers it to Michiru, who whispers to Ami.

"I have a question," Ami says.

"What is that, Ami?" Sabrina asks.

"If at any point one of us disagrees with your pick, could we suggest someone different?"

"I don't think that'll be necessary," Sabrina replies. "By the time I'm finished picking, it will be an every-Woman-for-herself game. Nothing to worry about."

Ami nods, but seems stern.

"I don't exactly agree with the way Sabrina is running things," Ami says. "For starters, she is 'running things.' I can't have her calling the shots. If I am to win this game, I need to be the mastermind behind all of it. I am on board with her for this vote, but at some point I'm going to have to cut her loose."

The Men, meanwhile, are trying to have their say. Cato and Prussia intimidate Haruhi and Konata.

"You better be smart tonight," Cato says. "Vote off either Sabrina or Mine. Those two are the strongest ones here."

"Yeah, it would be so awesome if you could oblige us!" Prussia says.

"Listen!" Haruhi shouts. "None of us are going to be intimidates by your-"

She looks over at Konata, who is on her knees begging to Cato.

"Please don't hurt me!" she says. "I promise I won't do anything to hurt you!"

"Just vote the way we want, and you won't regret it," Cato states.

"These girls are completely clueless and weak," Cato says. "I'd like to get their big threats out of this game as soon as possible. But if they're not smart enough, they won't take away the big threats, and doom themselves and us as a result. What will happen is that some mild-mannered member of the Men will win, and that's not satisfactory for me."

Sabrina and Jasmine also are talking with Men, in this case, Joe, Killua, and Kirito.

"We've got this all settled," Sabrina tells them.

She then whispers a name in Joe's ear, and he tells the others.

"This has all got to be hush-hush," Sabrina says. "The last thing we want is some sort of crazy advantage to bite us in the back at the last moment."

"Got it," Kirito says.

"Yeah, no problem," Joe says.

"We won't say a word," Killua says.

"Jasmine and I are in control," Sabrina says. "But I'm not bringing her to the end – she's too likable. No, I'm going to bring someone unlikable like Karen, and hopefully the Men end up with someone unlikable such as Cato. Oh, it's so sweet to be talking endgame, even at this early stage of the game!"

Tribal Council

(Women)

The ten Men lead the way into Tribal Council, going over to take their seats across from the Women. Each of them has a bag of peanuts waiting on their stool. Jet then welcomes the Women in, and they immediately go over to the torches.

"Each of you take a torch, put it into the flame and get fire," Jet states. "This is part of the ritual of Tribal Council. In this game, fire represents life; once it is gone, so are you."

The Women all get fire, then place their torches in the designated spots and take their seats.

"Let's start from the top," Jet says. "Yesterday, you all were shocked to find out that there will be no merge this season, plus the fact that you're all staying at the same camp. Alice, how does that change the mindset around here?"

"It's really simple, Jet," Alice says. "We either beat the Men, or go down trying."

"But doesn't that make you want to come up with a new strategy, given that you are both immune from the Men's votes, yet subject to them as well in the form of challenges?"

"You said it best," Alice replies, to laughter from the peanut gallery.

"Okay, let's see if I can get a better answer out of Mine," Jet states. "Mine, what do you think about all these Men being in your camp?"

"What do you think?" Mine replies. "Of course I hate it! I hate them! I hate half of my own tribe! All I want to do is beat those guys and show them what we're made of!"

"Which brings us to the Medallion of Power," Jet says. "Ami, you were quite clear that you wanted that advantage for your challenge. However, it backfired on you."

"No, it didn't," Ami says. "We would do that ten out of ten times. This is a team game this season. We need to win as many times as possible. We're going to be buying the Medallion of Power next challenge."

"But it requires teamwork with the Fire Tokens," Misty breaks in. "We need some people to pay their fair share of the advantage, and not just force a certain alliance to do all the buying."

"A certain alliance?" Jet says. "And who would that be?"

"Isn't it clear?" Sabrina says. "I'm with Jasmine. Misty's with Karen. Ami's with Michiru. We have six together in three pods of two. The goal is to be able to survive those early votes long enough to go on to the end of the game with people we're close to."

"I see," Jet says. "So, that has to upset those of you who aren't part of the alliance, right, Haruhi?"

"It sure does!" Haruhi replies. "No one's going to push me around!"

"Or me either!" Konata exclaims. "Haruhi and I are strong with each other to the end!"

"But that end might come soon, thanks to Sabrina's alliance," Jet states.

"We'll see about that!" Haruhi says.

"Now, for those of you in the alliance, doesn't it concern you that the alliance could split at any moment?" Jet asks.

"It's possible," Jasmine says. "But we can only go from vote to vote."

"How about the challenge?" Jet says. "This was an epic challenge, and I hope we have a lot more of the same as this game goes along. But there was one person who failed in it for the Women, and that was you, Karen."

"Oh, sure, put the blame on me," Karen says. "For the record, individual challenges are more my forte. I don't really care much for these team challenges."

"But it means that your tribe is sitting here and not over there," Jet says, pointing to the Men in the peanut gallery. "You may think you have an alliance of six, but nothing is ever certain in Survivor."

"It sure isn't," Karen replies.

"Okay, that wraps up the Tribal Council proceedings," Jet states. "Remember: no individual immunity in this game. Not today, not ever, unless one tribe runs out of members early. So, that means there's no immunity to give up, like some stupid people have in the past. It is… time to vote. Alice, you're up first."

The Tribal Council theme "Tally the Vote" plays as the contestants go to vote.

Alice goes to vote.

Ami goes to vote.

"I'm not even sure why I'm voting for you, but it's the best I can do with all these imbeciles that I have to work with," Ami says.

Haruhi goes to vote.

Jasmine goes to vote.

Karen goes to vote.

Konata goes to vote.

Michiru goes to vote.

Mine goes to vote.

Misty goes to vote.

Sabrina goes to vote.

"Sorry, but you played this game just a little too hard," Sabrina says.

After the players have finished voting, Jet makes his famous statement. "I'll go tally the votes," he says.

He gathers up the votes, mixes them up, then puts them back in the voting urn.

"If anyone has an advantage or an immunity idol, and you would like to play it, now would be the time to do so."

Everyone looks around.

"Okay."

"Wait!"

Karen jumps to her feet. "I have this," she says.

She goes and hands it over to Jet.

"Very well, this is an extra vote," Jet states, as several players gasp. "Karen will now go vote one more time."

The Tribal Council music starts again, as Karen goes over to cast her vote. Once she is finished, Jet addresses the players.

"Once the votes are read, the decision is final, and the person voted out will be asked to leave the Tribal Council area immediately," Jet states. "I'll read the votes."

"Mine."

Mine looks grumpy, with a frown on her face.

"Mine. Two votes Mine."

"Mine."

"Mine. That's four votes Mine."

Mine shakes her head, as she prepares to hear the bad news.

"Mine. That's five votes Mine."

Mine realizes her fate, and she gets up from her seat. She walks over to her torch just as Jet pulls out the next vote. He opens it very slowly.

"Sabrina."

Sabrina chuckles, knowing that at least one vote had to not be for Mine.

"Sabrina."

"Sabrina. That's five votes Mine, three votes Sabrina, three votes left."

Sabrina looks a bit worried, but Mine still is about to grab her torch.

"Sabrina. That's five votes Mine, four votes Sabrina, two votes left."

"Sabrina. We're tied, five votes Mine, five votes Sabrina, one vote left."

Sabrina's eyes open wide with shock. She starts looking around desperately.

"First person voted out of Survivor: Crazy Game Changers…"

"Sabrina."

Sabrina buries her head in her hands and begins to cry. "It's no fair!" she cries. "It's no fair! No fair!"

Jasmine pats her on the back, trying to calm her down, but she is hysterical.

"Sabrina, you need to bring me your torch," Jet states.

Mine is just as shocked as Sabrina, as she scurries back to her seat. Alice holds out her hand for a high five, and Mine slaps it happily.

"To a new alliance!" Alice says.

"Cheers!" Mine replies.

Sabrina is still sitting there with her head in her hands, hysterical. Misty and Michiru come over to try to comfort her.

"Sabrina, I need you to bring me your torch," Jet states.

Sabrina shakes her head as she looks up, tears streaming down her face. "What did I ever do to you? What did I ever do to you?"

"It's called Survivor, Sabrina," Karen says.

"Just let me know one thing," Sabrina says. "Was it you?"

Karen chuckles. "It was."

Sabrina shakes her head again, as she goes over to grab her torch. She then brings it in front of Jet.

"Sabrina, the tribe has spoken," Jet says, snuffing our her torch. "It's time for you to go."

Sabrina heads on out, still in tears.

"That is what you call a life lesson," Jet says. "Sabrina's overconfidence was her weakness, as was her faith in her friends. Grab your torches, head back to camp, good night."

The Women grab their torches and head on out, followed by the Men, who drop a few peanut shells on their way out of Tribal Council.

"I can't believe this, I can't believe this!" Sabrina says. "I thought that I'd finally survive one Tribal Council, but here I am again, voted out first! There's no way I'm ever playing this game again, simply no way! I deserve to have my chance at playing this game, but no one ever lets me even begin! Karen is a real snake, and she proved it once again. I hope that she joins me in Ponderosa very soon, because I have some words for her. Man, this sucks!"

Sabrina drops her remaining Fire Token in the chest belonging to Jasmine.

Who voted for whom:

Alice – Sabrina

Ami – Mine

Haruhi – Sabrina

Jasmine – Mine

Karen – Sabrina, Sabrina

Konata – Sabrina

Michiru – Mine

Mine – Sabrina

Misty – Mine

Sabrina – Mine
