Day 16

An Idiot Savant

Camp

Men: Joe, Killua, Kirito, Kyon, Spike

Women: Alice, Ami, Haruhi, Jasmine, Konata, Michiru, Mine, Misty

Early in the morning, it's Alice and Killua up before anyone else and talking around the fire.

"Do you think you could make fire if you had to?" Killua asks Alice.

"Of course!" Alice says. "What do you think, that I'm incompetent? I'm a cook, after all."

"Just asking," Killua says.

Alice smiles wryly. "I know why you're asking," she says. "You want to know if I'm good enough to make fire if my tribe went down to just two people."

"Actually, no," Killua says. "I'm rather more concerned about my tribe getting down to two people, and if I'd be able to make fire myself. Because, let's face it, my tribe is being completely decimated."

"Wanna know a secret?" Alice says.

She leans over and whispers in Killua's ear.

"I'm going to throw the challenge," she whispers.

Killua looks surprised. "You're… what?"

"Shhh!" Alice says, pressing her finger to Killua's lips.

"But…"

"I need to get our alliance to win over theirs before they are able to rack up too many Fire Tokens," Alice says. "If we keep on delaying the big showdown, then they may get enough Tokens to beat us."

"I see," Killua says.

"Don't forget, after a certain point, you're not going to be allowed to use Fire Tokens for advantages anymore," Alice adds. "Once your tribe is down to three players, you may only use Fire Tokens on food or comfort items. So, be very careful with them."

"I will," Killua says.

"Alice is just a great ally to have, because the two of us think alike and strategize the same way," Killua says. "If we were on the same tribe, I'd have to get her out of the game now, because she's such a threat. But for purposes of this game, I need her around all the way until right before the end. I'd fear her if I were on the Women Tribe."

"Little Killua is so cute," Alice says. "But he's also really smart. If I can get him on the jury to plead my case against the other two finalists, that would be ideal – but that's not likely. He's too smart to get outwitted by these stupid Men. They're complete idiots, and he's so far out of their league it's not funny. Now I just have to hope he doesn't accidentally spoil the fact that Mine and I are throwing this challenge."

Later that morning, Alice pulls Mine aside.

"You still good with our plan?" she whispers.

"I guess," Mine says. "I don't really trust you or that it'll go well, but it's my best chance of going further, so I'll go along with it."

"Great," Alice says. "Now, whatever you do, don't let Haruhi or Konata know. Those two will spoil the surprise."

"Got it," Mine says.

"Alice wants to throw this challenge so bad," Mine says. "I'm not sure if it's the right call, but I feel like it's the best option at this point. We need to get rid of one of the JAM alliance as soon as possible."

But Ami has the same thing in mind.

"I think we should throw this challenge," she tells Michiru, Misty, and Jasmine. "This would be the perfect time to surprise the other alliance. They won't see it coming, and then they'll blunder tonight."

"I don't know," Jasmine says.

"Seems too risky," Michiru says.

"Hey, I've got no problem with it," Misty says. "But is it really necessary at this point? I feel like we should just stockpile win upon win until the Men are totally depleted."

"If we let them get down to the point where there's only one Man left, he's probably going to side with them," Ami says. "We've got to be proactive and take action now."

Jasmine shakes her head, while Michiru looks nervous, but both stay quiet. Misty breaks the silence with her idea.

"How about this?" she says. "You three all sit out of this challenge. I can't because I sat out the last one. Then if we lose, it won't seem like we're throwing it; you're just not participating."

Jasmine shrugs her shoulders, and Michiru nods her head.

"Sounds good," Michiru says.

"We might be able to throw this challenge without actually throwing it," Misty says. "By having those three sit out, there will be no way of the other alliance catching on that we plan on throwing it. It'll just come natural. I think it's the best choice for this situation."

"I'm scared to death of Killua going down to the bitter end and being the last Man standing," Ami says. "I see him sneaking off with Alice at times. The two of them obviously have some kind of bond together. I can't let him get over to this tribe, whether it's at eight or whether it's at four. The goal? Vote out Alice, and end the threat."

Spike and Kyon sit around the shelter doing nothing while all the other players go to eat some rice.

"How are we going to do this?" Spike asks. "I'm a target now that I've been brought back from the dead."

"And I'm a target because I stood up against the other alliance at the last vote," Kyon says. "Our only choice is to get enough Fire Tokens to pull an advantage over on them."

"How many Tokens do you have?" Spike asks.

"Two," Kyon says.

"Funny, I've got two too," Spike says. "Why don't we put them together and buy an extra vote?"

"Sounds good to me," Kyon says. "Who's going to officially do the buying?"

"You can buy it," Spike says. "I don't really care if I go home anyway, so you get the advantage in case you want to use it at a later date."

"Sure," Kyon says, as he hands over the Tokens to a producer. The producer hands him back a piece of parchment.

"Now I've got this extra vote, and I can use it however I see fit," Kyon says. "I could use it to force a 3-3 tie, or I could use it to save myself if I get into a sticky situation later. I really don't care much about Spike, he's just kind of there. But if Spike is my only ticket to survival, then I'm going to have to help him out, whether I like it or not."

"I'm alive, I'm alive, oh yeah," Spike says. "But I really don't feel like playing this game any longer. I'm only doing this so my good friend Jet Black doesn't throw down my torch and say 'he chose to lay his torch down, so it shall be!' That would be embarrassing beyond belief."

Immunity Challenge

"Come on in, guys!"

The two tribes trudge into the immunity challenge area.

"You guys ready to get to today's immunity challenge?"

"Yeah!" Konata says, punching into the air.

"First things first, I will take it back."

Haruhi hands over the Ranma statue to Jet.

"Thank you. Once again, immunity is back up for grabs. For today's challenge, you will take part in a game of volleyball. Both tribes will have five players who must rotate serving the ball, and each tribe will also have one timeout. First tribe to score 15 points wins immunity, safe from Tribal Council, where you'll get to eat some peanuts while watching your opponents vote."

"And as for the losers?" Haruhi asks.

"As for the losers, they will be taken and executed."

"All right!" Haruhi exclaims, high-fiving Konata. The other Women gasp in surprise.

"Hey, I've already died once out here," Spike says. "I really don't feel like dying a second time. It would be redundant and boring."

"It's a joke, people," Jet says. "Losers, Tribal Council, where someone will be the eighth person eliminated from this game. Women, you've got three extra people. You have to sit out three, and they cannot be Alice, Mine, or Misty, because you cannot sit out the same people in back-to-back challenges. Who's it gonna be?"

Jasmine, Ami, and Michiru all raise their hands in unison.

"We volunteer," Ami says.

"Do you volunteer as tribute?" Konata says.

Ami rolls her eyes and shakes her head at Konata, who laughs.

"Sit-outs, take a spot on the bench," Jet says. "Men, you have the right to buy the Medallion of Power. If you buy it, you will start the game with a 5-0 lead."

"Man, is that tempting," Killua says. "But do we have the Tokens for it? I have one."

"I've got two," Joe says.

"I'm all out," Kirito says.

"Us too," Kyon says, pointing to himself and Spike.

"Crap!" Killua says. "We're going to lose again, aren't we?"

Joe slowly nods his head in sadness.

"Okay, then," Jet says. "Women, you now have the right to buy the Medallion of Power. Would you like to play it?"

"Nah!" says Alice immediately. The other Women nod in agreement.

"Very well then, I'll give you a minute to strategize, and we'll get started."

The players line up on both sides of the net. The Women have Haruhi and Konata in the front, Misty in the middle, and Mine and Alice in the back. The Men have Kirito and Killua up front, Joe in the middle, and Spike and Kyon in the back.

"For immunity! Survivors ready? Go!"

Mine serves, deciding to play it normally. The three short Men in the front all miss the ball on the jump. The ball easily falls in for a point.

"1-0 Women!" Jet shouts.

Alice looks over at Mine, and the two nod their heads. Alice takes the next serve, and she purposely hits it right into the net.

"Men tie it up without having to do anything!" Jet yells. "1-1!"

Spike takes the next serve, but his serve is off target, and the ball sails out of bounds.

"Spike throws it like a little kid! 2-1 Women!" Jet shouts. "Serve goes back to the Women!"

Misty goes back to serve, then intentionally slams the ball right into the net.

"2-2!" Jet yells. "No one's returned a ball yet! This is embarrassing! My nephew could throw it further than that!"

Killua serves, and his looks to be going close to Konata. However, she moves out of the way as the ball bends in midair and lands just out of bounds.

"3-2 Women!" Jet screams. "Still no returns! Pathetic!"

Next up is Haruhi to serve. Unlike most of the other players, her shot is right on target. Killua dives for it, but it hits the ground for a point.

"4-2!" Jet shouts. "We still have not had a single return in this match!"

Konata serves, but hers is so far left that it doesn't even go over the net.

"Point to Men, Women still up 4-3! This is utterly pathetic. You guys need to wake up!"

"Did you just say 'guys'?" Konata asks.

"Go on and serve," Jet says, ignoring Konata.

Joe serves, and for the first time, the Women return it. It's Haruhi who digs to get it, and Konata sets her up. Haruhi then jumps up and spikes it past Killua for a point.

"Finally!" Jet yells. "5-3 Women! Haruhi and Konata doing the dirty work for the Women!"

Mine serves again, and she purposely aims this serve very low so it doesn't make it over the net. Her serve ends up bonking off Haruhi's head and caroming away.

"Hey, that hurts!" Haruhi exclaims. "What the heck are you doing?"

"Just a pitiful performance by Mine on that serve!" Jet says. "5-4 Women, Men get to serve. This is some of the worst volleyball outside of Pittsburgh East Christian School that the world has ever seen!"

Kirito serves, and Haruhi manages to dig it. Konata sets it up again, and Haruhi spikes it. Killua goes down desperately trying to dig it, but he can't, and the Women score another point.

"It's now 6-4, Women! Haruhi and Konata just dominating out here!"

Alice serves this time, and she hits the ball as far as she can, all the way past the end line. However, a confused Spike dives after the ball and digs it.

"What the #$*% are you doing?" Kirito yells.

Killua dives to try to save it, but he cannot.

"Another point for the Women!" Jet shouts. "It's now 7-4! Spike didn't need to touch that one to earn a point, yet he did, and now the Women's lead is bigger!"

Ami shoots a glance over to Misty, who nods back in agreement.

"Misty to serve!" Jet announces.

Misty takes her time, then fires her serve short, so it goes right to the net. However, she gets just enough of the net that the ball bounces off it and slips over, and Kirito is unable to dig it before it drops straight down to the ground.

"8-4, Women! This is a complete bloodbath!"

"Timeout," Killua says to Jet.

"Very well, then, the Men are using their timeout. You've got two minutes, both sides!"

Killua pulls the other Men into a huddle. "What the heck are we doing?" he asks. "We are playing as if we've never played volleyball before!"

Joe shrugs. "I haven't."

"Neither have I," Kirito says.

"And of course I haven't," Spike says.

Killua facepalms. "Look, we've got to play smart! Go all out to stop the ball from hitting the ground! But don't hit the ball when it's out of bounds! These are just basic things. If we lose again…"

"We're going to lose," Kyon says. "We might as well accept our fate."

"No, we can't," Kirito says. "We've got to fight it out till the bitter end."

"Whatever," Spike says.

Meanwhile, the Women are all confused, because Misty doesn't realize that Alice and Mine are trying to throw the challenge (even though she is trying to throw it herself!).

"Leave the digging to me," Alice says. "I can handle it. The rest of you, stay out of the way."

"I hate to agree with her, but she's right," Mine says. "Or at least let me help her out."

The two nod their heads at each other as if to confirm their plan.

"Well, I don't know," Misty says. "I'm going to play the ball if it comes to me. I know you two are good, but I need to assert myself out here."

"We will take care of it," Alice says. "You let us handle it."

"Excuse me, but I'm going to do what's best for the tribe," Misty says. "So, you let me do what I want to do."

"Shut up!" Mine replies. "You know, you really remind me of–"

"Okay, the timeout is over!" Jet shouts. "Back to the game! The Women lead, 8-4! Haruhi is serving!"

"I don't serve anyone," Haruhi hisses back at Jet. She makes her serve, and this time Joe, Killua, and Kirito work together to get the ball back over the net. The ball comes toward Misty, who tries backing away from it, but Konata dives in at the last second and saves it.

"Nice save by Konata!" Jet yells.

Haruhi taps the ball back over the net, and Joe misjudges it. The ball bounces off his foot and to the ground.

"This is utterly pathetic!" Jet screams. "The Men are virtually useless at this challenge! 9-4 Women!"

Misty looks over to the bench, where Ami is mouthing the words "throw it." She nods her head at Ami, as Konata prepares to serve.

"Women serving!"

Konata serves, and this one goes right to the corner. Spike misplays it, and it's yet another point for the Women.

"10-4 in favor of the Women!"

Mine hits her serve completely to the right side, where it misses everyone.

"Women blow one there! 10-5!"

Kyon serves, and he hits his right to Haruhi. She digs and Konata sets, before Haruhi spikes the ball right back at Kyon. The ball hits him in the face and drops harmlessly to the ground.

"Once again, yet another point for the Women! 11-5!" Jet exclaims. "Men, you've got to dig deep!"

Alice serves, and out of frustration she hits it as hard as she can. The ball ends up grazing Killua's shoulder as it goes out of bounds.

"That hit Killua!" Jet exclaims. "The point goes to the Women! It's now 12-5!"

Misty goes to serve, also feeling frustrated from being unable to throw the challenge. She hits the ball squarely into the net.

"Another pathetic serve!" Jet says. "The Men have pulled within 12-6!"

Spike serves, and he hits his perfectly toward Misty. Misty pretends to dig at it, but she "slips" and ends up hitting the ball into the ground.

"Point goes to the Men! 12-7!"

Killua goes to serve, and he hits his to Konata. She digs it, and Haruhi sets it up.

"Spike it!" Konata shouts at Misty.

Misty reluctantly gets up and pretends to spike it, but instead she purposely hits it into the net.

"Men on a little bit of a roll here! 12-8!"

Joe serves, but his goes too far, over all the players. In desperation to lose the point, Alice dives after the ball and manages to touch it before it hits the ground.

"What the heck are you doing?" Haruhi asks angrily.

"You just cost us a point!" Konata yells.

"Alice with one of the stupidest plays in Survivor challenge history!" Jet shouts. "The Men have closed within 12-9!"

Konata and Haruhi glare at Alice, who shrugs her shoulders.

"Sorry!" she says.

Kirito serves, but his goes out of bounds. Alice dives after this one, too, but she comes up short before the ball hits the ground.

"I don't know what Alice was thinking, but that's a point for the Women!" Jet exclaims. "It's 13-9!"

Next up is Haruhi. She puts a picture-perfect serve to back where Spike and Kyon are trying to defend. The two both dive for the ball and crash into each other, while the ball drops harmlessly to the ground… just out of bounds.

"Haruhi's serve goes long! And that's a point for the Men! 13-10!"

Mine and Alice fist-bump. "We got this," Mine says.

Kyon goes to serve, and he knocks it over the net to Konata. Konata hits it to Haruhi, who then hits it in Mine's direction. Mine throws both arms up and lets the ball float to the ground.

"What the #$*%?" Konata says.

"What is wrong with you?" Haruhi asks. "You need to hit that ball!"

"She didn't, so it's 13-11!" Jet shouts.

Spike goes to serve, and he puts a lazy serve up high into the air. Haruhi goes to leap to touch it, but right before she can hit it, Mine yanks down Haruhi from behind, and the ball ends up crashing to the ground alongside Haruhi.

"What the – ?" Haruhi says.

"Still another point for the Men!" Jet yells. "It's now just 13-12! Men back in this thing after being down early!"

Killua serves, and the ball goes over to Misty, who looks surprised to get it. She digs at it, but purposely hits it backward. Mine and Alice watch as the ball sails over their heads and out of bounds.

"Unbelievable!" Jet exclaims. "The Men have rallied to tie this game up at 13 apiece!"

Joe is next to serve, but his serve is just a little too low, and it hits the net. He is devastated by the miss, but Killua and Kirito immediately try to cheer him up.

"It's 14-13, Women! Match point! Konata to serve!"

Konata puts her serve over the net, and Killua digs to get it. Joe sets it, then Kirito goes up to spike it.

"Kirito spikes it…"

"…into his own net! And that's it! Women, once again, win immunity!"

Mine looks disgusted, and Alice is astounded. Misty shakes her head as she walks off the court. The only two Women celebrating are Haruhi and Konata.

"We won! We won!" Haruhi shouts.

"We can't be beat!" Konata exclaims.

Meanwhile, the Men are absolutely devastated. They walk off the court in complete disbelief. Kyon shakes his head, while Killua and Kirito try to stop Joe from bursting into tears.

"I should have stayed dead," Spike mumbles.

Ami, Michiru, and Jasmine are in a state of confusion. They don't know whether to celebrate or to be upset. Michiru claps softly, while Jasmine smiles silently. Ami is in disbelief, shaking her head.

"Congratulations, Women, this is for you," Jet says, picking up the golden Ranma idol and walking over to hand it to Alice.

"Actually…" Alice says.

Everyone looks on at Alice in suspense.

"We want to reject this idol and give immunity to the Men," Alice states.

Almost everyone gasps upon hearing this. Ami tries to hold herself back from laughing.

"You… what?" Jet says.

"That's right, we're giving up immunity to the Men," Mine says. "Send us to Tribal Council."

Jet chuckles. "Why?" he asks.

"Because they deserve it," Misty says. "They've gone through a lot. They need a break from voting people out."

"That's right," Ami says. "It's no fun if we don't have competition."

"Okay," Jet states. "But if you want to do it, you've got to do it unanimously. Alice, do you wish to give it up?"

"Yes," Alice replies.

"How about you, Mine?"

"Yeah."

"Ami?"

"Yes."

"Misty?"

"Mm-hmm."

"Jasmine?"

"I guess so."

"Michiru?"

"Yeah, sure."

"Haruhi?"

Everyone looks at Haruhi, who spends about a minute thinking about it. Konata whispers something in her ear, then she makes the decision.

"Yes, we'll give it up."

"And whatever she says, I agree with!" Konata says.

"Very well, then," Jet states. "For the first time in Survivor history, a tribe has given up immunity after winning it. This Ranma idol belongs to you, Men."

Jet hands over the idol to Killua, who is overjoyed. Joe and Kirito give each other high fives, while Kyon and Spike laugh in disbelief.

"Very well then, congratulations, Men, you are safe from tonight's Tribal Council. As for you, Women, someone's going home after this decision, and whoever that is just sealed their own fate. You've got tonight to figure out who that's gonna be. Head on out, I'll see you for Tribal."

The two tribes head back to camp.

"It was time," Misty says. "Time for the Men to finally win one, even if they didn't win. We need someone to go home badly, because we are split so severely as a tribe. We needed to make a BIG MOVE. Hopefully, by giving up immunity to the Men, we can position ourselves into getting jury votes from them. I just hope I'm one of those three to get jury votes."

Camp

Men: Joe, Killua, Kirito, Kyon, Spike

Women: Alice, Ami, Haruhi, Jasmine, Konata, Michiru, Mine, Misty

The tribes come back to camp both in utter disbelief.

"I can't believe it," Joe says. "We were supposed to be headed to Tribal Council tonight, but the Women literally gave immunity away. They have nothing to gain by doing so. This is a tribal game still. I'm thankful for them, but I really feel like they made a big mistake. Now the question will be if we can pounce on the opportunity."

"This was exactly what I wanted," Ami says. "We couldn't throw the challenge, but as it turned out, everyone was on board with giving up immunity after all. Now we've just got to navigate through a very tricky vote."

"Thanks, guys," Killua says to the Women. "We really appreciate it."

"Oh, anything for you!" Alice says, giving Killua a noogie.

"Stop it," Killua laughs. "Canary's going to get jealous."

"Oh, so Albino has a girlfriend?" Alice says.

She and Killua enjoy a laugh, while Kyon draws aside Haruhi.

"Thank you so much," he tells her. "You've given me new life in this game."

"Now don't get cocky," Haruhi says. "We only did this one time, because we've put off voting for too long."

"One time is enough," Kyon says. "Thank you."

Later, Ami and Misty try discussing the vote with Jasmine and Michiru.

"You guys have got to use your Shot in the Darks," Misty says.

"Why?" Jasmine asks.

"Let me explain," Ami says. "I'm using my idol. Misty's using her idol. Their only hope is to vote for one of you too. Now, they don't know that we have idols. But let's say they guess right. They vote for one of you, and rocks are a possibility."

"I see," Michiru says.

"Also, it doesn't matter whether you vote or not," Ami adds. "If one of you two ends up safe, that'll put their chances down to 25% on guessing the right person to vote out."

"And it doesn't matter whether we have two votes or four," Misty says. "All we need is for them to vote for someone with an idol. Then, they're doomed, no matter how they slice it."

"Got it," Michiru says.

"I'm not really sure I agree with this plan Ami and Misty have," Michiru says. "They want me to give up my vote. Why not them give up their votes? That's a little fishy to me. Nevertheless, I've got to roll with them at this point."

"There are so many strategies and sub-strategies, and unfortunately no one else is as smart as me and able to figure out what's going on," Ami says. "It sucks, because while my alliance isn't smart enough to understand my plans, the other alliance is so stupid that they may end up winning by accident. Particularly Konata. She's an idiot savant. She has no brains. She has no strategy. She just follows Haruhi the whole way. And that might just be enough, unless we can pry those two apart."

Alice finds that keeping together her alliance isn't as easy as she thinks.

"Where are Haruhi and Konata?" she asks Mine. "We need to inform them as to who to vote for."

"They're off playing on the beach," Mine replies. "They really couldn't care less about this game."

"Well, we need to come up with who we're voting for," Alice says. "I've got an extra vote. You've lost your regular vote, but you got a steal-a-vote. That makes three."

"And Haruhi and Konata both have extra votes," Mine says. "We just tell them a name, and they do the dirty work of voting out someone with their four votes. We escape scot-free by putting our three votes on someone else. It's actually quite easy."

"I guess so," Alice says.

"Mine is overconfident about this vote," Alice says. "She doesn't realize that the JAM alliance has a genius in Ami. She's so smart, she will probably see right through our strategy. We have to make sure that she's not going to counteract what we do. And that means putting things in the hands of Haruhi and Konata. They don't know what the heck is going on over there. That's a problem with their heads. I can't fix that."

"I don't know if Alice knows what she's doing," Mine says. "Leaving this vote to Haruhi and Konata is like handing the nuclear football to a guy who calls himself a 'stable genius.' This is disaster waiting to happen, and I fear that I'm going to be the one who pays the price."

Konata and Haruhi, meanwhile, are discussing their strategy as they play by the beach.

"Are you going to use your advantage?" Haruhi asks.

"What advantage?" Konata asks.

"One of the ones you paid for with your Fire Tokens," Haruhi says.

"Oh, those advantages!" Konata replies. "Yeah, I'm using whatever I've got. We've got to win this vote."

"I agree," Haruhi says. "If we lose this vote, then we get picked off one by one. And that means that Kyon will beat me! Can't let that happen!"

"No, we can't," Konata says.

As they are talking, Alice walks by. She whispers a name in Haruhi's ear, then walks away.

"Who are we voting for?" Konata asks.

"I don't know," Haruhi says. "Alice told me to vote for one person. But maybe we'll just vote whichever way we want."

"Good plan!" Konata exclaims. "Then we blindside not only the other alliance but also Alice as well!"

"We are going to blindside our own alliance tonight!" Konata says. "This is such fun. I can't wait for this vote!"

Tribal Council

(Women)

The eight female characters walk into the Tribal Council area with their torches ablaze. They set them over in their places, then sit down in their seats. Up in the peanut gallery, the Men start cracking open peanut shells as they watch the Women take part in Tribal Council with Jet.

"Okay, let's talk about the obvious," Jet says. "There's no beating around the bush. You guys completely gave up immunity which you had earned, and which is the most important thing in this game. Why?"

"It's because of Fire Tokens," Alice says. "Those things can turn this game on its head."

"If we don't make this vote now, then we risk more Fire Tokens getting put in the game," Mine adds. "Our goal is to pounce before time runs out."

"But this is a tribal game," Jet says. "You're in no danger of a tribal swap or a merge. You keep winning, you can put off that vote as long as you'd like."

"Not really," Ami says. "Because even if we did win out, one of the Men would have to join our tribe, and then it becomes a five-on-four game. We can't let that happen."

"In addition," Misty says, "if we delay the vote, we're only letting bad feelings build up between our alliances."

"What alliances are there?" Jet asks. "Are they well defined, like in the Men Tribe? Or are they a secret?"

"I can tell them to you right now," Haruhi says.

"Everyone okay with that?" Jet asks.

All the Women nod their heads.

"Very well then, go ahead," Jet says.

"It's me and Konata, along with Mine and Alice," Haruhi says. "And then it's Jasmine, Ami, Misty, and Michiru. We call them the JAM alliance."

"I see," Jet states. "And with four against four, you're likely headed for rocks."

"Only if no one plays any idols," Mine says.

"Or advantages," Misty says.

Jet chuckles. "The way you guys just said it, it sounds like Mine's alliance fears idols, and Misty's alliance – JAM – fears advantages."

"We don't fear anything!" Konata exclaims. "Right, Haruhi?"

"I think everyone fears advantages and idols from Day 1," Michiru says. "They're out here, and we know it. We've just got to play smart."

"Yeah, we can't live in our fears," Jasmine says. "That's the quickest way to lose."

"But what if you're voting for the wrong person?" Jet asks. "It could be very easy to vote incorrectly, and the person you've voting for to use an idol."

"Excuse me," Misty says.

She pulls aside Ami, Jasmine, and Michiru, and starts whispering to them. As the four of them have a conversation, Alice and Mine start whispering to Haruhi and Konata.

"Exciting, isn't it?" Jet calls to the Men sitting up in peanut heaven. The Men chuckle in response.

After the players stop talking to each other, they return to their seats.

"We won't vote until all of you want to vote," Jet says. "Tribal Council can go for as long as you guys want it to."

"We're ready," Mine says.

"Same," Misty replies.

"Yeah, I don't think anyone's changing their minds now," Ami says.

"Very well then," Jet says. "It is time to vote. Alice, you're up first."

"Wait a minute," Mine says. "I've got something for you, Jet."

She walks over to Jet and hands him a piece of paper.

"Very well then," Jet says. "This entitles Mine to steal a vote from any player she wants. Who are you going to steal from, Mine?"

"Misty," Mine states.

As Mine says this, Misty looks over at Ami and nods her head.

"Okay," Jet states. "Here's how this is going to work. Misty will not go to vote, but Mine will vote in her place. Now – "

Alice, Konata, and Haruhi immediately stand up.

"Yyyyyeeeeesssss?" Jet says.

"We all have extra votes," Haruhi says. "We intend to use them all."

"Okay, I see you've all got extra pieces of parchment," Jet states. "The three of you will vote twice. Now it's time to vote. Alice, you're still up first."

The Tribal Council theme "Tally the Vote" begins to play as the contestants go to vote.

Alice goes to vote.

Ami goes to vote.

Haruhi goes to vote.

Jasmine goes to vote.

Konata goes to vote.

Michiru goes to vote.

Mine goes to vote.

"My own vote is null," Mine says. "But I've got this steal-a-vote, and I'm gonna use it."

"I'll go tally the votes," Jet says, after the players are finished voting.

Jet walks over to the voting booth, grabs the urn, then returns to his podium.

"If anyone – "

Both Jasmine and Michiru stand up right away.

"We used our Shot in the Darks," Michiru says.

She hands a scroll over to Jet, and Jasmine does the same.

"Very well then," Jet states. "Let's find out what these say."

He opens up Jasmine's scroll.

"Jasmine, you are…"

"NOT safe."

Jasmine sighs.

"As for you, Michiru, you are…"

"SAFE."

Michiru breathes a sigh of relief. Her three alliance members all give her high fives.

"Now, if anyone has a hidden immunity idol, and you would like to play it, now would be the time to do so."

Ami and Misty immediately stand up. They walk over to Jet with their idols.

"I'm using this on myself," Misty says.

"Me too," Ami says.

"Very well then," Jet says, taking Misty's idol first. "This is a good immunity idol. Any votes cast against Misty will not count."

Misty high-fives Ami.

"And this is also a good immunity idol," Jet states. "But…"

He reaches into the urn and pulls out a circular piece of wood.

"This is the Idol Nullifier," Jet says. "And it has been used against…"

He turns it around to face everyone.

"…Ami."

Ami looks despondent, in total shock. As a tear runs down her eye, Michiru hugs her, while Misty and Jasmine also try comforting her.

"Any votes cast against Ami will count," Jet says. "Once the votes are read, the decision is final, and the person voted out will be asked to leave the Tribal Council area immediately. I'll read the votes."

"First vote… Michiru. Does not count."

Michiru offers a slight smile, but she continues to help comfort Ami.

"Michiru. Does not count."

"Michiru. Does not count."

"Michiru. Does not count. Still no votes for anybody."

"Konata."

Konata looks shocked. "Who, me?" she says.

"Ami. That's one vote Ami, one vote Konata."

"Ami. Two votes Ami, one vote Konata, one vote left."

Ami starts to break down in tears as Jet pulls out the final vote and opens it extremely slowly.

"Eighth person eliminated from Survivor: Crazy Game Changers, and the first member of our jury, Ami Mizuno. That's three, and that's enough. You need to bring me your torch."

Ami bursts out in tears, hysterical. She gets up and walks over to get her torch.

"It's… it's… it's not fair!" she cries. "I got blindsided by idiots!"

She brings her torch over to Jet, looking over at Konata and Haruhi and shaking her head.

"Ami, the tribe has spoken," Jet says, snuffing our her torch. "It's time for you to go."

"Good luck, JAM!" Ami calls. "And screw the rest of you idiots!"

She wipes away tears as she heads down the path. At the end, she sees a table with a bunch of small boxes on it.

"You must bequeath your Fire Tokens to another player," she reads.

She pulls out her four Fire Tokens and drops one in Jasmine's box, one in Misty's box, and two in Michiru's.

"Go get 'em," she says, walking away in tears.

As she walks away, the camera pans back to Jet at Tribal Council.

"Sometimes, the smartest people are the stupidest," Jet says. "And vice versa. Grab your torches, head back to camp, good night."

The Women, still in shock, get up and grab their torches to go back to camp.

"I can't believe it!" Ami says. "Those morons! They didn't know what the heck they were doing! They got lucky because of an Idol Nullifier! If I had all the Fire Tokens in the world, I would never use them just to target one individual. I would use them on something better! This sucks so bad. I'm never playing this game again. Four times, four failures to reach the Final Three. There's no point in playing anymore."

Who voted for whom:

Alice – Ami, Ami

Ami – Konata

Haruhi – Michiru, Michiru

Jasmine – No vote

Konata – Michiru, Michiru

Michiru – No vote

Mine – Ami (Misty's vote), no other vote (lost)

Misty – No vote

Next time on… Survivor…

The remains of the JAM alliance are still shell-shocked over the Tribal Council's result… Alice and Mine are still shell-shocked over the Tribal Council's result… and the Men try to win an immunity challenge the old-fashioned way.
