This is the next to last of the pieces being transitioned from being stand alone one shots. As there is only one more after this one, I'll just go ahead and post it now after this one.

It was Halloween 1993 and Ernie Macmillan and Hannah Abbott were sitting in the Three Broomsticks drinking butterbeers and swapping chocolate frog cards.

"So, " Hannah asked Ernie kindly, "Is there any particular card you need to complete a particular portion of your collection?"

"Rowena Ravenclaw, " answered Ernie seriously.

"Well, " smiled Hannah, "I have a duplicate Rowena Ravenclaw card but I'm missing Godric Gryffindor. Do you have an extra Godric Gryffindor card?"

"I do, " replied Ernie matter of factly, "I'll trade you my spare Godric Gryffindor card for your second Rowena Ravenclaw card, then I'll have all the founders of Hogwarts!"

"So will I, " exclaimed Hannah happily, "Let's make the swap!"

So, Ernie picked up a Godric Gryffindor card while Hannah picked up a Rowena Ravenclaw card and they made the exchange.

Both Ernie and Hannah grinned as they completed the exchange.

"That worked out perfectly, " said Ernie. pumping his fist.

"It was bloody brilliant, " agreed Hannah, her face glowing, "How about another suggestion?"

"So, the next one I'm missing is Ollivander, " said Ernie clearly.

"We all want Ollivander cards, " said Hannah thoughtfully, "Ollivander is one of the greatest wizards of his time. "

"He really is," said Ernie solemnly, "Wandmaking is both one of the most difficult tasks that exists in the Wizarding World and one of the most mysterious."

"You're in luck, Ernie, " said Hannah cheerfully, "I've got a backup Ollivander card I can trade to you. I'm missing Bowman Wright. Do you have any repeat cards of him?"

"Ah, " said Ernie knowingly, "Bowman Wright is one of the most underrated wizards of all time."

""Maybe the most underrated, " cooed Hannah, "Bowman Wright is the man who invented the Golden Snitch and kept the sport of Quidditch going after the Golden Snidget became a protected species. "

"Snidget hunting was disgusting even independently of the Golden Snidget being an endangered species., " said Ernie forcefully, "Killing birds for fun and sport is as reprehensible as having sex!"

"Snidget hunting, " admitted Hannah sadly, a few tears in her eyes now, "Is one of the saddest periods in Wizarding history. What person with a heart doesn't love peaceful and beautiful birds?"

"Exactly, " agreed Ernie firmly, "But, back to Bowman Wright, he was a brilliant metal charmer. Quidditch may not be the most important thing in the world, but it's such a big part of Wizarding Culture that Bowman Wright absolutely deserves his place in the chocolate frog card set. And yes, I do have a second one of him. So, I guess we can do a Wright for Ollivander swap then?"

"Yeah!" said Hannah glowingly, "I get my Bowman Wright and you get your Ollivander. It's all coming together nicely. "

And so, Ernie grabbed his excess Bowman Wright card and Hannah seized her excess Ollivander card and the two BFFs bartered them.

But there was more to chocolate frog cards than witches and wizards. There were also cards for beasts.

"So, " piped up Ernie, "I don't have the Hungarian Horntail card."

"A chocolate frog card is the ONLY place you'd actually want to see a Hungarian Horntail, " Hannah teased Ernie.

"Actually, " said Ernie with an aura of correcting her, "I'd love to see Hungarian Horntails in drawings and paintings as well. I just wouldn't want to see a real life version. They CAN expel their flame up to fifty feet you know."

"As it so happens, " said Hannah radiantly, "I have several Hungarian Horntail cards. Yet I don't own a single Common Welsh Green card. "

"I'm the opposite, " revealed Ernie," I've got loads of Common Welsh Green cards but zero Hungarian Horntail cards. Looks like we've found another trade, doesn't it?"

"Indeed, " grinned Hannah, "Ah, trading the most dangerous dragon for the least dangerous one."

"There's no such thing as a dragon that isn't dangerous, " said Ernie pompously, "The Common Welsh Greens are just less troublesome because they avoid people so long as people refrain from provoking them. "

"Either way, time to make the swap, " said Hannah brightly.

Ernie lifted a Common Welsh Green card out of his pile whereas Hannah plucked a Hungarian Horntail card from her stack, and they made the swap.

"Speaking of creatures, " said Ernie seriously, "I am not currently in possession of any phoenix cards."

"I Possess a multitude a phoenix cards, " said Hannah cheerfully, "But my set lacks any unicorn cards."

"We've got another hit then, " said Ernie bluntly, "I have more Unicorn cards than Eloise Midgen has pimples."

Hannah grinned and giggled.

"What an amazing swap," said Ernie briskly, "Unicorns and phoenixes are probably the two most revered magical creatures apart from dragons."

Ernie and Hannah both smiled broadly as Ernie gave Hannah a unicorn card in exchange for her giving him a phoenix card.

"This is going really well, " said a satisfied sounding Hannah.

"So, " realized Ernie suddenly as he looked down at his cards, "I'm only one chocolate frog card away from a totally complete set."

"Which card do you need to complete your set?" Hannah asked Ernie calmly.

"The Hogwarts Express card," answered Ernie hopefully.

"I've only got one Hogwarts Express card, " said Hannah honestly.

An extremely disappointed look came upon Ernie's face.

"However, " said Hannah graciously, "As it's the last card you need to complete your set, I'll tell you what, I'll still trade it to you."

"Seriously?" said Ernie gratefully, "You're still willing to trade it to me even though it's the only one you've got?'

"I'm several cards away from a complete set, " said Hannah kindly, "Since I'm going to take a little while longer to complete my set anyway, I don't mind helping you out here. I'm missing the Knight Bus card. If you have an extra Knight Bus card you can trade to me, I'll trade the Hogwarts Express card to you."

"I do have the Knight Bus card, " said Ernie formally, "Let's make it official then."

As Ernie grabbed a duplicate Knight Bus card out of his pile and Hannah picked up her Hogwarts Express card, they made the swap.

"YES!" shouted Ernie as his hands touched the Hogwarts Express card, "I've got a complete chocolate frog card set!"

'Congratulations, Ernie!" said Hannah in a warm and jolly voice.

"Thank you, Hannah, " said Ernie appreciatively, "It was jolly decent of you to trade the Hogwarts Express card to me."

"My pleasure, " said Hannah joyfully, "I'll get another Hogwarts Express card in time. For now, I'm so happy for you that you have a complete set."

It was a pure moment.
