She was in the dark room for almost forty eight hours translating death notes. She got food and took shower couple times to wake up. She didn't went to sleep she didn't want to lose more time.
She hoped for any response from Batman after she was done but she was told to go on the elevator and set in the awaiting car. That car dropped her next to the subway station and that was it. No gear no Batman no anything. Justice felt wronged and lied to but there was nothing she could do so she went home.
Her house was cold and freezing empty and dark. She got some heat going, turned on light in the kitchen and tried to cook a meal from leftover and dry goods. Her money was about to end next month and Justice knew she needed a job. She went online to search for any openings in the zone. There was some grocery store employees places, cleaning service needed some experienced people and the library was looking for a desk worker. Justice went with the library more over it wasn't far from her house.
Next day she printed her resume and went straight there. The main librarian looked through a resume and asked only one question "Why did you moved back to the Zone with such an amazing resume?". Justice didn't know exactly what to answer but came up with the one simple reason why "because I was born here". She got a job. The pay was small that was the reason nobody wanted to work in the library. There was a small crew of workers mostly elder women and one maintenance always drunk old guy Rob. Mrs. Willo was the main librarian and she did a tour for Justice talking to her about duties and schedule. Job wasn't hard and Justice thought it was perfect if she still was going to fight crimes at night.
Of course she was going even without the promised gear. At that moment she was hoping Batman would figure out Evan's plan and leave her do her thing in the Zone. If Batman used the translation correctly he could understand next Evan's moves. Regardless of the translations she made Evan's plan was a mystery for her. She decided to uncover more and use time in the library to read deeper in Evan's letters from their childhood. She felt there could be some help in them.
She wrote copies of death notes when she was doing Batman's task. She kept rereading them together with letters. When she came back from the interview she went deep into the papers. She found out every murder and because she didn't know what notes belonged to what murders she tried to figure it out from the context of the note and the victim's death circumstances.
There was one particular death of a Recreation Director of the Gotham City and he was strapped to the railroad tracks. The high speed train run him over and the note was found writing right on his arm. The news didn't say what was that note and surely police prohibited to do any pictures of it. Justice was following her instinct so she paired this murder with the note: "The steam is everywhere it is so glumly and dark. It's hard to breath so much of it you can't see the sky. You walk in it and don't see a path. Give me your hand and I walk you to the other side."
For some reason a train associated with steam for her and not electricity how it was in reality. By the nightfall she paired all eleven murders with notes but she knew that only police and Batman had real information about notes and bodies.
Next day she got an early start because the library opened at eight in the morning. She took her notes and some Evan's letters to go through and left for work. As she expected this job was quiet and calm. First thing she went through catalogs and checked books sections trying to remember where each section was and when she got free time she decided to think about Evan's case.
Later in that day she met group of people who actually was creators of the Zone's news channel on YouTube. That guy Logan was following her at the old port and the night she got shot. She knew it because was watching their videos with reportage about the White Shadow.
She didn't know about burning office and now they were asking to rent the meeting room for couple hours everyday. Justice hoped they would be very helpful to her she decided to become their friend moreover that Logan guy was pretty much attractive man.
