Hay sorry it's taken so long to get this part out and I really hope that you like it as much I like writing it and thank you to AllegroGiocoso for your help
Littlefoot: What do you guys think the rainbow faces meant by two or more of us will feel different tomorrow?
Ruby: I don't know, but I'm curious and excited as it would be nice to be a different kind other than what I am. But also seeing one of you as a different kind would be funny.
Ducky: I think it would be funny too, it would. Maybe we will find out tomorrow, yep yep yep.
Spike: What if it's something bad?
Cera: I don't think it's anything bad, but I think they might be just talking nonsense. So don't get your hopes up. That way if nothing happens you won't be disappointed. But if it's true about what they say it could be dangerous or interesting.
Petrie: Me think it sounds good.
Cera: That sounds different coming from you, Petrie.
Petrie: Why Cera?
Cera: We don't call you Panicky Petrie for nothing!
Petrie (rolls his eyes at Cera): Petrie no like that all the time!
Cera: We'll see! (laughs)
Chomper: Me and Ruby better get to our cave. It's getting late but I can't wait to see what happens tomorrow.
Ruby: Right, we need to sleep, but I wonder what tomorrow will bring. Good night my friends, my friends good night.
Chomper: Good night, see you tomorrow.
(Chomper walks towards Ruby while the others are out of earshot)
Chomper: Umm Ruby, can I get some food first? I'm kinda hungry.
Ruby: Of course Chomper, I'm a little hungry too. Chomper, you don't have to wait until the others are out of earshot to tell me you're hungry. They don't mind because they are your friends as I am. You did it before.
Chomper: I know, but as I get older I don't like saying it around them because I'm afraid my instinct will kick in one day.
Ruby: Chomper you don't have to worry about things like that especially because I'm here to protect you. I told you parents I'd look after you and that's what I'm going to do, so don't worry.
Chomper: Thank you Ruby. I can't wait for the Bright Circle to rise!
Ruby: You're welcome Chomper, welcome you are.
(As Ruby and Chomper leave, the gang say their goodbyes, then they go to their nests to sleep. As they all start walking towards their sleeping spots, Petrie flies off to his nest not before saying good night.)
Littlefoot: What do you think will happen tomorrow?
Cera: I don't think anything will happen. How do we know they aren't just messing with us?
Ducky: I hope not, no no no.
Littlefoot: I don't think they would do that. Besides, they helped us last time, remember?
Cera: I know, but how can we trust them because we don't really know them that well.
Ducky: What if they do not do what they say and do something else to put us all in danger?
Littlefoot: I don't know Ducky, but I'll make sure you guys are safe.
Spike: What if we changed for the worse, like we become bad then put our families or friends in danger?
Cera: Since when has Spike become Petrie?
Littlefoot: Maybe Petrie has got in his head (laughs). Especially with the bad luck stuff.
Ducky (chuckles): Oh no no no, I could not cope with two Petries.
Spike (looks at them offended): Hey, why me? Pick on someone your own size.
Ducky (giggles): Umm Spike? You are about the same size as Cera and
smaller than Littlefoot.
Spike (looks at her in mock horror): Don't remind me!
Littlefoot (shakes his head and laughs): Spike, you have come a long way since we first met you.
Cera (laughs): Yeah, he was a lot quieter.
Ducky: That is because he did not talk then.
Spike: You wonder why I didn't speak? See what I got to put up with (laughs)
Cera (laughing): Spike, go and eat. You're getting cranky.
Spike (rolling his eyes): I'm waiting for Ducky.
Ducky (laughing): Spike, you know we like you!
Littlefoot: Yep, we won't have you any other way because you are a good friend.
Spike: Thank you. (smirking mischievously) But not to sound like Cera, but cut the mush.
Cera (looks at Spike in mock offense): Hey!
(Littlefoot and Ducky giggle)
Cera: One panicky Petrie is enough for anyone. (giggles) I'd rather have two Duckys.
Littlefoot: Me too because she's the innocent quiet one and can do nothing wrong (giggles).
Cera: Yeah.
(Spike giggles)
Ducky: No no no, two Ceras would be worse than a bad sleep story (giggles).
Cera: Hey, I stuck up for you!
(Ducky sticks her tongue out playfully)
Littlefoot: I think I'd have only one of you because you are all one of a kind and my best friends.
Cera: Don't be mushy, Littlefoot. (giggles)
Littlefoot: At least I'm honest and nice.
Cera (giggles): When longnecks fly.
Ducky: How do you know they do not, Cera?
Spike: Have you seen one?
Cera: Know what? Never mind.
Littlefoot: They got you there.
Cera: Don't you start.
Ducky: Cera imagine, two Spikes, two Littlefoots and two Petries, oh no no no!
Cera: I'd rather be eaten!
Spike (whispers): That can be arranged. (giggles)
Cera: Spike, what did you just say?
Spike: Nothing.
Cera: That's what I thought.
(They all start laughing)
Ducky: I hope it is good tomorrow.
Littlefoot: It will, but we'll just have to wait and see. But I don't think we should tell the grownups that we have seen them.
Cera: That's true, they would be mad, especially my dad.
Ducky: No no no, that would be bad!
Spike: It's better to keep it to ourselves. Plus I'm hungry and tired. See you two tomorrow. Coming Ducky?
Ducky: Yep yep yep! Bye Cera, bye Littlefoot!
Littlefoot: When the Bright Circle's up, we can meet by our favourite tree.
Ducky: Ohh yes yes yes!
Cera: Who's turn is it to get the tree stars down?
Ducky: Littlefoot's I think!
Littlefoot: I thought it was Cera's?
Spike: I'll do it.
Ducky: Yes yes yes. Thank you Spike.
Cera: Now that's settled, see you two tomorrow.
(Ducky and Spike leave and are out of earshot)
Cera: Umm Littlefoot? Can I ask you something now the others are gone.
Littlefoot: Of course Cera. What's wrong?
Cera: How do you really feel about what the rainbow faces said?
Littlefoot: I'm curious, but at the same time nervous about what might happen. Like if it's dangerous, like if we did change how would our families react? Like would they react badly? Or maybe they could laugh, especially your dad. And what if a sharptooth attacks or we're stuck in the wrong bodies forever?
Cera: Yeah, I've been thinking about it. Like it would be funny and an interesting experience but at the same time I'm unsure to trust what they are saying like if it's real and how it will all happen and what happens if a sharptooth attacks at the wrong time putting us in danger or our families. I'm unsure but at the same time I can't wait to see your grandparents faces when they realize I'm you or Petrie or Ducky's mums see I'm them or Spike. But I also don't want them to react badly though I don't think they will but I just don't know if Dad would take it well without going crazy. Or us being in the wrong place at the wrong time and we are attacked by sharpteeth.
Littlefoot: How come you didn't say anything about this earlier?
Cera: You know I don't show how I feel, it was hard enough to tell you. Plus I don't want them to worry or get bad ideas because they seem happy about it. Why didn't you say anything?
Littlefoot: Because I don't want to scare them, especially when they are happy and excited.
Cera: Should we keep this between us?
Littlefoot: Yeah. I'll probably talk to my grandma and grandpa about it but I won't mention anything about what we talked about.
Cera: Thank you. Don't tell anyone this but I know I can trust and talk to you about anything because you're my best friend and don't know what I'd do without you.
Littlefoot (looks at Cera concernedly): Cera, you ok?
Cera: I'm fine. Why wouldn't I be?
Littlefoot: I don't know, but you seem upset.
Cera: I'm fine but all this today made me think about something that happened a few cold times back.
Littlefoot: What do you mean?
Cera: Do you remember what happened with Pterano?
Littlefoot: Yeah?
Cera: That time when the grownups said the smoking mountains were off limits I wasn't sure about going after Ducky. But once I thought if it was me what would she do, then I changed my mind and went to rescue her.
Littlefoot: Yeah, it was Spike's claw mark picture of Ducky that made us go, but you know she would come after us if anything happened to us. She even let us use her as bait to get rid of our first sharptooth!
Cera: I know but I couldn't help but think we both nearly did something as bad as Petrie's uncle.
Littlefoot: What do you mean?
Cera: Do you remember when we were on the way to the Great Valley and I went the wrong way after arguing with you? Then Petrie, Ducky and Spike followed me?
Littlefoot: Yeah, I remember that. I was annoyed with them for following you and annoyed at you.
Cera: I know, but I wish they didn't because I left them even knowing they were calling out for help because they were in danger, Spike and Ducky especially as they could have died.
Littlefoot: But you didn't know they were in danger.
Cera: I did. I just carried on walking ignoring their cries for help. I was upset, mad, hungry, scared and alone, but I just ignored them when they needed me most, like I ignored you. If you didn't get there when you did, I don't know what would've happened. (starts crying a little)
Littlefoot (concernedly): Ohh Cera, what brought this on? (goes to hug her)
Cera: A bad sleep story. Please don't tell anyone, please.
Littlefoot: I won't, promise. But what was the sleep story about?
Cera: When I walked on after they screamed for help, I turned around to see that you all … I can't say it, it's too much.
Littlefoot: It's ok Cera, I understand. You don't have to if you don't want to.
Cera: I know, but I want you to know you went to save Ducky and Spike but you all fell in.
Littlefoot: That must have been terrifying.
Cera: It was.
Littlefoot: Cera, I knew you were upset. I was too, not just at you, I was mad at them as well, and at myself too. Not just that, I wanted to get us all to safety. I was going to leave you all, but I couldn't as I wouldn't be able to live knowing I let them burn to death or in Petrie's case starve to death because he'd have been stuck in tar. I also couldn't leave you to be attacked by the boneheads or to be lost.
Cera: Are we as bad as Pterano? I mean, what if you didn't go back to save them and we just carried on alone? I don't think I could carry that much guilt. Especially if they died, I would have had bad sleep stories of them screaming in terror.
Littlefoot: Me too. But we were all upset, hungry , tired and alone but we all stuck together in the end and found the valley and got rid of the bad sharptooth. You know it was Ducky who helped me when I was upset after my mother died. When I first met her she tried to convince me she was a longneck like me.
Cera (giggles): Really?
Littlefoot: Yep, but then she realized I wasn't falling for it. Then she told me she was alone and came with me.
Cera: I don't think I would have reacted the same way you did with her. She's so sweet and innocent like a frozen tree sweet that wouldn't melt. But she has her stubborn moments.
Littlefoot (giggles): She's like you in some ways.
Cera: Petrie is the same in some ways too. He can be a pain in my tail sometimes but he's helpful and a good friend.
Littlefoot: Yep I agree. He can be annoying but his heart is in the right place and Spike too, but I wouldn't have them in any other way (laughs). But Ducky keeps Petrie in line.
Cera: And Spike.
Littlefoot: Especially Spike. I can still remember when Ducky found him. He was all alone with no family around relying on us to keep him safe.
Cera: I wanted to leave him where he was, but I was too proud to admit that he needed us. But now he doesn't shut up, apart from when he's eating or sleeping (giggles).
Littlefoot (laughs): I know but I would never have gotten to the valley without you four. Oh Cera, sorry about the things I said back then and hurting you. I didn't mean any of it. (trying not to cry) I was angry and missing my mother. Also I wanted to get us all to the Great Valley.
Cera: That's ok, you didn't really do anything though. I started it. I shouldn't have said what I did, especially about your mother, she saved me. I should have been more respectful and grateful that she sacrificed her life to save ours. Not many longnecks or threehorns or other kinds would sacrifice themselves for someone else's hatchling, especially a different kind of hatchling (tears coming down).
Littlefoot: I know what my mother did that day was brave and if it wasn't for her we wouldn't be here, and Ducky, Petrie and Spike would have been on their own, possibly eaten or worse. I'm glad she saved you because you are special to me, all of you are. I couldn't be without you four. You guys are my best friends and family all in one, we all look out for each other.
Cera: Thank you for not leaving me back then even though I was horrible to you. You guys are the best friends I could really wish for. I never want to lose any of you. (She tries to control her emotions but is failing.)
Littlefoot (comforts Cera): We aren't like Petrie's uncle because we didn't leave them back then. I went back for them and saved them then we saved you from the boneheads. Plus Petrie or Ducky or Spike would have said something about it by now. But they trust us enough to know we wouldn't have put them in danger on purpose. Plus they chose to follow you.
Cera: I just think I should have told them to go with you and let me calm down. Then maybe they wouldn't have followed me.
Littlefoot: They probably would have ignored you and still followed you. They still do now (giggles).
Cera: That's true, especially when we are trying to keep them safe. It's worse now we have Chomper and Ruby with us.
Littlefoot: Yep definitely. Where we go, they go.
Cera: Littlefoot thank you for, umm, talking with me tonight. I needed to get things off my chest. It was good talking to you alone. But promise you won't tell anyone what we were talking about?
Littlefoot: You're welcome and I promise. Let's get to our sleeping spots. It's getting really dark now and my grandparents will be worried.
Cera (smirks): Yeah, see you tomorrow, flathead.
Littlefoot: Night Threehorn (he laughs).
The rainbow faces were watching Cera and Littlefoot closely and listened to everything they were saying and came to a discussion about who was going to be waking up feeling different when the Bright Circle rises. So they sat and watched to wait until the young dinosaurs were asleep before making their move.
Gill: Are you thinking what I'm thinking?
Gilbert: Yes yes yes, I have the spell ready to transform some of them.
Gill: I think four of the young ones and I think I know who
Gilbert: I think I know who you're thinking of (giggles)
Gill: But we have to also take into account what the young threehorn has said about sharpteeth but I don't think we have to worry about bad reactions, well apart from Old Threehorn.
Gilbert: Ohh yes that's true. Let's watch and wait once they are asleep we will be ready
Littlefoot (walks to where his grandparents are eating): Hi Grandpa, Grandma.
Grandpa Longneck: Hi Littlefoot.
Grandma Longneck: Are you hungry?
Littlefoot: Yep. Kinda thirsty too.
Grandpa Longneck: Let's get a drink and some food. So how's your day been?
Littlefoot: It's been good, hanging out with my friends and talking.
Grandma Longneck: That's good.
Littlefoot: Me and my friends were talking and thought about what it would be like to be a different kind of dinosaur.
Grandma Longneck: You young ones come up with the strangest things, but I think it would be interesting. But I don't think I could picture myself being a bossy threehorn (she chuckles). But a swimmer maybe.
Grandpa Longneck: Ohh yes, or a flyer.
Littlefoot: Me and Cera both said we would be each other's kind.
Grandpa: Oh I'm not surprised you both are similar but different in your own ways. But we wouldn't see much difference apart from her voice and she would be more clumsy and lose her temper with herself (chuckling at the image that comes to his mind).
Grandma Longneck: Cera would have some trouble controlling her neck and her body because unlike us she didn't learn how to support our body weight. We had to hatch very small and start eating straight away as soon as we hatch to support our body weight as we grew.
Littlefoot: Thank you grandma and Grandpa.
Grandpa Longneck: You're welcome Littlefoot.
Grandma Longneck: I think that's enough excitement for one day. Let's get some rest.
Littlefoot: Good night Grandpa. Good night Grandma.
Meanwhile at Ducky's and Spike's nest, Mama Swimmer was getting the hatchlings to sleep when she heard Ducky and Spike walking towards the nest.
Mama Swimmer: Hey you two, you hungry? I got you both some treestars.
Ducky: Hi Mama. I am a little hungry, yep yep yep.
Mama Swimmer: Are you hungry, Spike?
Spike: Yep.
Mama Swimmer: Enjoy your treestars!
Ducky and Spike: Thank you Mama.
Mama swimmer: You're welcome.
Ducky: Mama, can I ask you something?
Mama Swimmer: Of course, Ducky.
Ducky: What would you think if me and Spike were different dinosaurs?
Mama Swimmer: What do you mean?
Spike: Like if I woke up as say a sharptooth or a flyer or Ducky woke up a flyer?
Mama Swimmer: Ohh, I think I would be in shock and I wouldn't know what to do or say. But I think I'd know if something wasn't right like for instance if Ducky was acting unusual like falling over her feet or sounded different. But I'd try to find out what was wrong. Especially if one of you was a sharptooth if you went off green food or kept falling over, I think your siblings would find it funny as would I, but we'd be worried at the same time. Anyway, it's getting dark.
The rainbow faces watched as the young ones fell asleep. Then as soon as they went to sleep, they cast their spell. Then suddenly, a ball of lightning lit up the clear night sky. Then a crackling thunder-like sound could be heard though it was not loud enough to wake the dinosaurs in the valley but it's loud enough so the rainbow faces knew the spell is working. Then the next thing they knew, the Bright Circle was up.
