Chapter 4 Bloodsport.
The screen shows the girls changeroom.
Sue and Chris stand in the middle in a towel.
The girls are busy talking with each other.
The group girls currently shown turn to look at each other.
"Is this going to show us naked? Asks Norma Watson timidly.
Noises from the other girls could be heard following Norma's words.
The parents in the room tried to console their distraught daughters, while the teachers assured their students that their privacy would be protected. How they wanted to do that was another thing though, because the truth of the matter was that they did not know what the movie would show.
'There has to be a way to skip this scene right?" Asks Tommy Ross.
Seeing the gratitude on the faces of the girl and most importantly Sue, give him the strenght to look up and challenge the strange voice that was making them watch this movie.
A piece of paper appeared on Tommy Ross legs.
Tommy read the letter and smiled.
Dear Mr Ross,
I will show nobody naked in the scenes. I you will some things can be censored. Do not worry.
The rest of the room relaxed hearing those words.
Still some people felt uncomfortable and hoped that by talking to whatever had bought them the movie they could skip the scene.
Before they could say something though another piece of paper appeared on Tommy's legs.
I am sorry, but all the scenes in this movie are crucial to get the full picture about what is going to happen. There will be no skipping. But I will allow breaks if some scenes are too much.
Realising there is no way around it, the room continued watching.
Carrie walks with a towel she looks around if somebody sees her.
Nobody looks at her and she walks to the shower.
"Hey freak, afraid somebody will see you". Chester Miller, a jock, laughing with his friends.
His parents turn to look at their son and tell him to keep quite.
She takes of her towel and stands under the douche.
Despite the fact that Carrie was covered by a towel, some people could not help it but laugh at the misfit.
Carrie looks at the floor trying to ignore them.
Mr Frogg, Carrie's Science teacher saw it and decided to help the girl. He looks up at the roof and asks the voice:
"Can't we skip this part? '
Carrie looks up surprised. That was the second time today that a teacher stood up for her.
"Don't bother Garret, the voice said earlier that we can't skip these scenes remember?" Says Mr Ullmann.
Garret Frogg looked at his college and could not help but feel unease. Earlier Edwin had been one of the teachers that was the loudest in his support of the other girls privacy, but now he did not even want to try to help Carrie.
Thankfully it seemed that he was not the only one who noticed.
"Well Edwin why is it wrong when we saw the other girls like that , but is it okay when we see Carrie in a similair situation ?"
Mr Ullmann became a very red color.
"Well Miss Desjardin... umm...u.."
"Its alright if you don't know the answer right now you can explain it later when your brain has began to function again "
Many people start to giggle at Mr Ullman instead of Carrie.
She starts to wash herself with soap.
Suddendly she sees that there is blood on her hands and lets the soap fall.
All the man in the room started to look uncomfortable.
"Oh for gods sake its just period blood"
After hearing this some men tried to look like it did not bother them, but they failed badly.
Carrie looked at her future self. What was happening to her? Were did the blood came from? It did not look like she had hurt herself.
She looks terrified and looks again at her hands.
She looks even more scared and screams hard:
'Help! Help me!
The room turned to look at Carrie.
The girl was just having her period.
Two girls run after each other.
Carrie strugles to walk and ends by Chris, Sue, the twins, Heather and Tina who are with each other.
Carrie walks to them with her towel still on and graps Sue shirt with one of her hands.
Sue: Get of me freak!
'Ewwww, you freak that is disgusting!' Screams Chris Hargenson.
Most of the room looks at the young woman with various levels of disgust. Some had watched her earlier reaction and wondered what could be wrong.
'Sue are you okay?'
While her classmates and parents began to dote on Sue, Carrie looks at the screen.
The amount of blood that was coming from her was getting worse. Was she dying? Was this what the future had in store for her? Is that why they had first seen her birth? Did her mother finally hurt her too much and was her body going to collapse?
Those thoughts scared her. She did not want to die.
Chris: Oh my god! Is that blood?!
"No Chris it is ketchup"
Chris glares with her father at Norma Watson who glares back at them.
The Ultra's pull away from Carrie and stare at her.
Carrie: Please I'm bleeding.
Chris face changes, understanding what is happening with Carrie.
Carrie: Please!
Chris and the Ultra's plus some other girls could not stand it anymore and with approval of their parents (minus the cursing) went to confront Carrie.
' Hey, what do you are doing?!' Asks Sue Snell.
Carrie looks up at the angry faces of Chris Hargenson, Sue Snell, Tina Blake, the twins and the other girls.
'Girls' warned Miss Snell.
Principal Morton and some teachers were moving towards the group of teenage girls.
Principal Morton and other teachers had noticed the commotion and were on their way to the group of teenage girls.
The girls were reminded that they were not alone and that they had to keep calm.
Sue took a deep breath.
'Look I don't know why you do that in the future, but could you please not do that'? ' It is really gross'. Says Sue.
Carrie did not answer.
' Do you have any idea how expensive that shirt is?' Asks Lizzie Watson.
Miss Desjardin looked at the group seeing the girls getting angry again and found it time to intervere.
'Now now girls, I understand you are angry but Carrie can not be hold responsible for what happens in the future and we don't even know if what we are show is true or fake'. Said Miss Desjardin.
Miss Desjardin's words calmed the group of teenage girls.
Am I going to die'. Asked Carrie.
The entire room turned quite.
"Çarrie, honey have you never before had a menstrual period before? Asked Miss Desjardin worried.
Before Carrie could reply, she was interrupted by Tina Blake.
"Thats impossible, she's 16!"
"Well Miss Blake while unusual it is not unheard of for girls to get their period as late as 16." Said Ewan Highs School Nurse.
People began to whisper wondering if what they were seeing was really the girls first period.
Tina Blake flushed.
"Whatever, she's old enough to know what a period is'.
But while she said that people started to have doubts.
"Carrie, sweetie do you know what a period is'. Asked Miss Desjardin.
The girl in question shook her head.
'No I have never had one of those things'.
'What is happening to me , why am I bleeding?' Said the scared girl.
Silence followed that statement.
Unfortunately that silence did not last long.
'Are you shitting me? Said Chris.
' Miss Hargenson!' Warns Miss Desjardin.
The gym teacher turned to Chris and the other girls parents.
'Could you please collect your daughters'
The parents of the girls came and went with their children back to their assigned seat.
Miss Desjardin took a deept breath, feeling a migraine coming up.
Morton and everyone else were not doing anything and someone had to explain to Carrie what was going to happen to her.
Miss Desjardin turned and looked at Carrie.
Her gaze softend when she saw how scared she was.
"Carrie I am sorry for everyones reaction".
'' It is just most girls go through this thing a bit earlier, we did not expect you to not know about this''.
Miss Desjardin took the girls hand.
"Miss Desjardin do you really think it is the time ?" Asked Principal Morton.
''And I do not know what Mrs White would think of this...
Miss Desjardin gave him a look.
''This cannot wait Henry and Mrs White should have thought about that before not informing her daughter about the basics of her own body''.
At the same time the screen had stopped playing the movie.
''And it seems whoever brought us here agrees''.
Turning back to her student Miss Desjardin continued.
'' You see when a woman is ready to start having babies, she bleeds once a month from her lower regions to make room for a baby if she wishes too'.
''I know it is scary but every woman goes through it''.
Miss Desjardin continued explaining things as good as she could.
After she was done she looked Carrie in the eyes.
'' Is everything clear?''
Carrie nodded.
''Yes, thank you''.
The relief in Carrie's voice made her feel good about her choice to inform Carrie. They would deal with Margareth White after this.
The screen began to change, signalling it was time to start watching the movie again.
Chris: Oh my god! It's period blood! While pointing to Sue's shirt on which now stands one blood handprint.
Carrie: I'm bleeding. I'm going to die!
The Ultra's look at each other and they start to laugh.
Chris and Sue the hardest.
Carrie: Please help me!
Chris: It's just your period.
"Yes, but Carrie does not know that" Whispers Heather.
She could only look at the screen at Carrie's terrified face while the current Carrie was held by Miss Desjardin.
Chris opens the automatic with tampons in it, graps one and walks to Carrie.
Chris: Here plug it up.
Chris tries to give it to Carrie, but when Carrie want to take it Chris walks away from her
Almost everybody stared at Chris and the other girls who could only look at the actions of their future selves.
The Ultra's start to laugh again and point to Carrie's hand, which is under the blood.
The teens and adults looked at the blood. It was so much.
The Ultra's and Carrie's other classmates were surprised at the amount of it.
It really is her first period, was everyones thought.
She is not faking it.
At the mean time more girls have come to look at what is happening.
Then someone throws a tampon at Carrie and soon every girl graps tampons and what other things they can get and throw it at Carrie.
They also scream plug it up., again and again.
Everybody looked sick at what they were seeing. The situation was getting out of control.
Miss Desjardin looked at the screen hoping her future self would come and help.
She could not believe how cruel her pupils were acting.
Carrie creeps away from the girls till she is by the showers.
The girls keep screaming and throwing things at a now terrified Carrie.
Chris starts to film the incident with her mobile.
The moment Chris began to film the incident the room exploded.
"Chris". Screamed John Hargenson.
Chris looked at her father, he was furious.
Chris looked around for support but saw almost everyone looking at her with loathing and surprise that she could do such a thing.
She looked for support at her friends and Billy, but they were being chowed out by their own parents.
"Why would you think to do that, I thought I raised you better than that". Said John with a angry and sore voice.
"ITS NOT MY FAULT! THE RETARD ASKED FOR IT!". Screamed Chris while her face became red.
Chris knew before she said it that it was not true and would not do her any favors, but it was too late.
Then there happend something that they thought they would never see. John took Chris by her arms and pulled her back in her chair.
"ARE WE WATCHING THE SAME THING OR HAVE YOU LOST ANY BRAINCELLS YOU HAVE ". Screamed John back while looking at Chris.
John sat trying to calm himself.
"When this movie is done you are grounded for 1 month".
"No computer, parties, nothing! Because I do not trust you to not follow in your future selfs footstaps with that atttitude"
"Now apologise to her". Said John Hargenson.
Chris looked at her father, she saw that for once her was serious.
"Wait a minute John".Said Mr Wilson.
Chris smiled when she heard that. Mr Wilson would help her and calm down daddy.
"What Max". Said John looking at him.
"Chris isn't the only one". He said while turning to his daughters and the other girls.
The other parents understood it and looked to their children.
"Your all are also grounded for 1 month if you even think of doing what you are doing on that screen''
'' And when this is done we are going to have a conversation about bad behavior and bullying".
The girls just nodded, feeling shame and relief they were not being punished further.
'' And you will apologise right now to that girl for your future actions".
All the girls looked at their dissapointend parents and in some cases boyfriends and walked to Carrie.
"We are sorry Carrie".
All the girls except Chris started to apologies to a shocked Carrie.
"Chris ". Warned John his daughter.
"Sorry Carrie". Said Chris with slightly anger towards her father.
John looked at his daughter but accepted her apology.
Sue stops with throwing things and looks sad and a bit sorry at Carrie.
Carrie still begs and lies on the floor with her towel still on and is now crying.
The student body became cold seeing this. The seriousness of the situation settling in.
Carrie was under the blood and crying, it painted a horrible picture.
They had never saw her cry like that before. No matter how hard or cruel their tricks were.
Chris keeps filming.
'' Of course she continues filming'' Whispered Rachel Spies.
Miss Desjardin: Move! Come on move! Ladies what's going on ?
The group started to cheer when they saw Rita Desjardin stopping the other girls, hoping the horrible scene would end now.
Miss Desjardin looks at Carrie in only a towel which is under the blood.
Miss Desjardin: Oh my god. All right, oke honey. Stand up. Let's get you cleaned up.
Rita turned to the girls.
"I do not want to think about how horrible it would be to see that in real life.''
''I already feel sick just seeing it on screen, it almost looks if one of you have stabbed her''.
The girls look away. Sue tried her hardest not to cry.
She was not used to negative attention.
Carrie: Help me.
Carrie graps Miss Desjardins skirt with her bloody hand.
Miss Desjardin: Carrie move on. Honey stand up. Come on honey can you stand up?
Sue looks at Carrie and Miss Desjardin along with the Ultra's and other girls.
They don't laugh anymore.
Carrie: It hurts, it hurts! Something is not right.
"You know Carrie is right". Said Mrs Watson (mother of Norma Watson).
Everybody looked at her.
"Some girls are later than others, but there could also be something wrong with her".
"Did your mother took you to a doctor for this Carrie" Said Miss Watson again while looking at the scared girl.
When Carrie shook her head the school nurse spoke up.
"After the movie is done I would like to do some tests to see if everythings alright, Miss White"
The other parents nodded there heads, while Carrie became pale.
They could not do that. Momma would be furious!
Miss Desjardin noticed this and looked at Carrie, wondering why she was reacting like that.
Sue walks to them.
Miss Desjardin: What are you talking about?
Sue: Miss Desjardin I think she does not know what a period is.
Tommy looked at his girlfriend. While he was upset at her she at least seemed to have the most remorse out off all the other girls.
He put his arm around her while they continued to watch the movie.
Carrie: Noooo!
Miss Desjardin: Suze, Suze get out of here.
Miss Desjardin pulls Sue back.
Carrie screams the whole time. Pads and tampons that lay around her start to move away from her.
People stared at the screen, how the hell was that happening!
Then suddendly a piece of paper came out of the sky.
"All of this will be explained further in the movie".
The people relucantly accepted it and started to watch the movie again.
Miss Desjardin gets back to Carrie and when Carrie does not listen to her she slaps her in the face.
" I am so sorry honey" Said Miss Desjardin with tears in her eyes.
Carrie only looked at her with a faint smile.
"It is alright miss Desjardin you only tried to calm me down". Said Carrie.
Miss Desjardin looked doubtfull, but Carrie did not seem bothered.
She was not lying when she said that it did not matter that Miss Desjardin hit her, she doubted it was worse then when her mother got angry.
Another reason was so that she was gratefull of the kindness that Miss Desjardin had shown her since they had began watching the movie.
Kindness and understanding was not something she was used too from strangers, it was nice and she hoped it would last. It would be nice to have a teacher that was on her side for once.
Carrie stops screaming.
The girls all stare in shock.
Miss Desjardin: Everyone get out. Now! Out!
Miss Desjardin: Oke, deep breath.
Come here. Come on It's oke.
You're oke sweetie. It's totally normal.
Shhhh don't you know what it means. Oke.
"You handled it very good Rita" Said Mr Rodney from Drama.
The other teachers and parents nodded, while looking at Rita who was hugging Carrie.
The girls look back and while Miss Desjardin is comforting Carrie a lamp breaks.
"Whole damn building is falling apart". Said Henry Morton softly.
The girls, Miss Desjardin and Carrie look at it.
The scene turns black.
And done! I hope you enjoy it and I will apologise in advantage for grammer mistakes. I will in the future revisit it once I have a proofreader, but I did not want to let you all wait any longer. I will try to post the next chapter as soon as possible, but the next one might take longer because I am going on holiday for 2 weeks.
I will try posting a new chapter in 2 to 4 weeks. That is the rate I am going for. Reviews are most welcome. It always makes me happy to read them and I hope all the people that used to read this story have found their way back so I can present them a fully written story.
