It took about 30 minutes to get home. The Loud's got home really late at night. Luckily no one saw them or the ship. Once they arrived Lynn sr. and Rita hid the ship in a hatch inside the garage. Then Rita left for the store to go buy baby supplies for Lincoln.
In the living room, all the girls were interacting with Lincoln. He was given one of Lynn's diapers, it was a little big on him, but it was just until their mother got back.
"He is just the cutest." Leni squealed.
"He sure is." Lori responded looking at Lincoln in her arms.
"I know right." Luna said. "We finally have a baby brother."
"Bwuhthuh." Lynn babbled.
The other sisters all gasped. That was Lynn's first word. Yes she hadn't uttered her first word yet. At first the parents were a little worried. But then they realized that maybe she was just a late bloomer. Or maybe she was waiting to say the right word.
"Lynn." Luan exclaimed. "That's your first word."
"That's right Lynnie." Leni said. "This is your brother."
"Bwuhthuh, Bwuhthuh." Lynn continued.
Lincoln giggled at Lynn. It seems that Lincoln deeply loved his sisters.
Lynn Sr then came in from the kitchen.
"Hey girls." He greeted. "How's Lincoln doing".
"He's doing great." Lori responded. "Oh and you've got to see what Lynn just did."
"Well it was your mothers turn to change her." Lynn Sr. "But since she's not there I guess I'll do it."
Lori laughed. "No, not that." She giggled. "I meant this."
She turned to Lynn.
"Who is this, Lynn?" Lori asked gesturing to Lincoln.
"Bwuhthuh." Lynn responded.
Lynn Sr. gasped. His youngest daughter finally said her first word.
"Lynn." He exclaimed. "That's your first word."
He then scooped Lynn up in his arms.
"My little Lynn can finally talk." He continued as he broke down in tears.
Lynn Sr. could really be sensitive.
Then Rita came in the house, her arms had shopping bags that contained baby supplies for Lincoln. She saw her husband sobbing and was concerned.
"Honey." She addressed. "What's wrong?"
Her husband turned to her
"She talked." He responded. "Lynn finally talked."
Rita was surprised. Her youngest daughter finally said her first words.
"What did she say?" she asked.
"Check it out." Lori answered getting up off the couch and walking toward Lynn, who was still in her father's arms.
"Who is this, Lynn?" she asked gesturing to the white haired infant in her arms.
"Bwuhthuh." Lynn babbled.
Rita gasped.
"Oh Lynn, that's right." Rita praised. "This is your brother."
"Bwuhthuh, Bwuhthuh." Lynn continued.
"Well, we should all get to bed." Rita said. "It's really getting late."
The girls all complained that they wanted to still play with their brother.
"I know you girls want to still play with your brother." Rita said. "But you all need your sleep. You all will be able to play with Lincoln tomorrow."
The girls accepted this and went upstairs to get ready for bed. All of them couldn't wait for tomorrow so they could be with Lincoln.
Lori was now in her pajamas looking at Lincoln in his crib. He was now wearing an orange onesie. Lori begged her parents to have him sleep in her room, they allowed it. So they got Luna's old crib from the attic and brought it into Lori's room. They also put Lincolns's baby supplies in there.
Lori walked up to the crib, and saw Lincoln just sucking his thumb. He looked up at his big sister and giggled.
Lori smiled and picked up Lincoln, then she walked over to her bed and sat down.
"Lincoln." She said. "You have no idea how long I've been waiting to have a baby brother."
Lincoln looked at her, listening intently.
"You know we were supposed to have a brother." Lori told him. "But he died before he was even born."
She then looked down at Lincoln.
"Now you're here, and we finally have a baby brother." She continued. "You know just looking at you, it feels like you were always meant to be part of this family."
Lincoln giggled. Lori just smiled at him, then kissed is forehead.
"I'll be the best big sister to you." She vowed. "And I'll always be the one who takes care of you the most, I promise."
Lincoln yawned. Lori realized how late it was.
"Yeah I guess we should get some sleep." She admitted.
Lori then took her baby brother back to his crib and tucked him in. She then kissed his forehead one more time.
"Good night, Lincoln." Lori told him. "I love you."
Lincoln then gave one last smile, then he fell asleep. Lori thought he looked absolutely adorable sleeping.
She went back to her bed. She pulled the covers over her and went to sleep.
