The few moments before Bavuma decided to use [ Alter Reality ] on the barrier were nail-biting to say the least.
Max had to constantly think about gibberish and force his mind to stay on track so that his secret would not be given away.
Drax had to control his bloodlust and act like a taunting ape even though such behaviour was completely different from his actual personality.
' If Shakuni can withstand the Backlash and proceed to finish the fight against the boy, then I should be able to do the same.
Logically while the seed should help him collect and manipulate chaos energy faster, it should not help him deal with the Karmic Backlash.
If he survived it, then it must be because of the strength of his own soul, which means that I can do it too… ' Bavuma deduced as he made up his mind to give it a try.
As he began collecting Chaos energy in his left hand, he looked around to confirm his decision once more as Drax kept clapping and mocking him while Max looked straight at him with a frown.
' That mysterious fog around his hand? Could he have figured it out? ' was the text that floated over Max's head, as even now Max played his part in deceiving Bavuma perfectly.
However, none of it mattered in the end as the second Bavuma extended his hand and collected Chaos Energy to alter the barrier. He was done for!
The barriers Karmic value was so high, that not even the universal queen dared to forcibly break through fearing backlash, yet Bavuma, convinced that he was stronger and better than everyone, fell folly to his own delusions.
" NO! IT'S TOO MUCH, THE KARMIC VALUE OF THIS BARRIER IS TOO MUCH! " Bavuma shrieked in panic as the entire soul-space around him began to tremble violently, causing him to cancel the move midway fearing the impending consequences of his actions.
However, it was already too late for him, he had poked the bear and now the hunt was on even if he did not follow through with it completely, as in the vast emptiness of Max's soul-space, the darkness began to intensify dramatically as an ancient force that was beyond the grasp of Max's understanding began taking shape.
From this unyielding darkness, chains made of pure karmic energy shot out, rapidly encircling Bavuma, tightening and constricting. However, the interesting part about these chains was that they weren't just metal; they were crafted from the very essence of all the wrongs Bavuma had committed, sharpened by the pain of his victims.
Each link in these chains was a memory, a sin, a consequence. As they bound him, Bavuma could see, feel, and re-experience each malevolent act he'd ever done.
" NO, YOU GUYS TRICKED ME! NOBODY CAN SURVIVE THIS SORT OF A BACKLASH " Bavuma shouted as he hallucinated seeing hundreds of thousands of abyss mages all with sinister smiles plastered over their faces as they each took a gram of flesh from Bavuma's body.
As the chains began to dig deep into his flesh, tearing at it, making him bleed profusely, Max made most of the opportunity and turned each ot the blood droplets into a small blade and redirected it to cause even more damage to Bavuma.
With every ounce of his being, Bavuma screamed in agony. Not just from the physical pain, but from the psychological torment of confronting every wrong he'd ever committed, playing in an endless loop in his mind.I think you should take a look at ραΠdαsnovel.cοm
A massive, shadowy hand—formed from the karmic energy—emerged from the void. It began to squeeze Bavuma, pressing him, contorting him, causing his bones to be cracked, flesh ripped, and blood spewed. The once mighty Bavuma was now at the mercy of the karmic forces, and they showed none.
" AGNI, VAYU, KUBER, MAYA we are old friends, don't do me dirty like this! Forgive me please, I never meant to wrong you, it was the Seed! The seed manipulated me…. " Bavuma pleaded to figures that were not actually present, but were confronting him in this particular Backlash.
Drax, floating a distance away, watched intently, a sinister smile playing on his lips. The intense beef between him and Bavuma made this spectacle all the more satisfying. Every cry, every scream, was music to his ears.
Although he could not be sure, if Bavuma was hallucinating about his master Agni taking his revenge upon him, then it was the most fitting ending that he could have asked for his mis-deeds.
Amid the torment, as Bavuma's consciousness started to wane, the chains and the shadowy hand began to retract, leaving behind a mangled, barely alive form of the once-mighty villain, floating listlessly, only for the Karmic chains to be replaced by a direct connection from Max's soul vessel which began sapping the strength from Bavuma's remnant form.
Max, witnessing the karmic retribution, whispered to himself, "Every action has its consequence."
Drax, savouring every moment, murmured, "And some consequences are long overdue."
( meanwhile Odin )
As Bavuma received the Karmic Backlash, Odin's connection to Max snapped in an instant.
" Karmic retribution? " Odin asked in disbelief as he looked at Rudra for confirmation but realised that the latter did not understand what was going on either.
" What do you mean? " Rudra asked in a concerned voice as Odin checked his forehead for sweat only to be shocked realising that he was sweating profusely.
" Someone triggered a karmic retribution within Max's soul space and it's a strong one.
I don't know if it's your brother who made the dumb choice to alter reality or Bavuma, but whoever it was is now in deep trouble" Odin said as Rudra narrowed his eyes in worry.
A karmic retribution being triggered could only mean that one of the involved parties was getting desperate and the fight is nearing its conclusion.
With all external help already snapped, all that Rudra and Odin could do from this moment forward was for a victor to emerge and hope that the emerging victor would be Max.
A karmic backlash was a celestial's worst nightmare.
To become a tier9 individual, one had to gain experience and slaughter hundreds of millions if not billions of monsters to reach that level.
The reason behind monsters being the accepted norm for levelling versus bipedals was because killing a monster accumulated lesser bad karma than killing a Bipedal.
In the end, the higher one climbed the greater their karmic debt to the universe became and to wipe off the said debt they needed to perform several 'good' karma deeds which was the only reason why the celestials installed the universal queen into the universe, as her presence as a governor after the chaos war ensured that one-sided slaughter of mortals by gods to become stronger fast could no longer happen.
As a result, the universe became a more peaceful place to live-in and the celestials received a steady stream of positive Karma.
For Bavuma however, as an individual who had performed countless wrongs but never performed a right, his karmic backlash was terrifying.
Once the flood-gates had been opened and the abyss mages had taken their revenge, everyone who Bavuma had ever wrong was manifested to collect their pound of flesh as the near immortal god had his mana channels destroyed, his powers sealed and his body put through unbelievable pain.
It was a physical, mental and psychological torture of the highest degree which left behind a weak and shrivelled husk of one of the strongest gods in the universe.
" How could I be so stupid? " Bavuma murmured as he wondered how he became convinced that using [ Alter Reality ] on a tier10 barrier was a good thing?
As a God Of Knowledge, he felt extremely stupid to have been fooled by a kid not even a tenth of his age as he grit his teeth in extreme regret.
" Well played… " He complimented as he thought of how Max never explicitly stated that his brother could handle the karmic backlash of removing the barrier but had only ever subtly implied it which led to Bavuma thinking that he inferred the solution himself when he was being led on from the start.
As his soul was slowly devoured by Max's soul vessel, Bavuma slowly faded from existence as his body began to grow translucent.
If he had even a sliver of strength left in his body after experiencing the Karmic Backlash he would have still fought back to the bitter end, however, everything from his constitution to his nervous connection to his muscles was destroyed in the Backlash as he was barely alive as is.
" Max Rajput? I'll remember that name to my grave…. " Bavuma said as his physical form faded out completely leaving behind a soul that was being constantly absorbed by Max's soul vessel.
Drax was performing his duty as a filter and preventing any information from passing alongside the soul into Max's so that Max did not inherit the memories or personality of Bavuma, but because of this stressful process he could not utter a single word and had to focus unilaterally on the task at hand.
" I did it? " Max wondered in shock and disbelief as it looked like he had truly achieved the impossible and won a fight that he was never supposed to?
In an ideal world, someone like Max should never have been able to even scratch the heels of someone like Bavuma, yet overcoming all odds using his life experience and his intellect, he made the impossible possible and defeated a peak tier8 opponent! I think you should take a look at ραΠdαsnovel.cοm
It was an incredible feeling as it gave him a massive confidence boost in himself that yes, he wasn't just another tier7 warrior who would forever be inferior to his brother, but was indeed someone capable of overturning the heavens when he reached the end of the road for his journey.
Walking the path of the perfect warrior was not easy, but he knew that if he had not spent the time and effort to understand the fundamentals of chaos energy and called it quits during the tier7 promotion after mastering darkness and void, he would have successfully became a tier7 warrior but would have been killed in this fight here.
Only because he had suffered a small karmic backlash himself did he realise how terrifying altering reality really was and realise how tricking Bavuma into performing suicide was possible.
It was by no means a clean win, he was by no means strong enough to defeat a monarch in open battle just because he managed to defeat Bavuma, however, this win was still extremely important as the EXP and improvements that he was going to observe from absorbing Bavuma's soul was potentially going to save him two decades worth of daily levelling, with the inherited memories and experiences being a added bonus.
When all was said and done, Max expected his strength to improve twofold from what it was when he entered this fight.
( Meanwhile Rudra )
Once Bavuma's physical body died, all the items that were once stored inside his inventory shot out and scattered around Max's body as a glowing golden core was thrown out as well which immediately caused all the players within the time chamber to tremble and sweat profusely.
" A celestial core! " Odin said as if he were bewitched by the appeal of the object as his hands subconsciously slided towards the core as if wanting to claim it for himself.
" Don't you dare touch it! " Rudra said, as he instantly claimed all the loot and saved it safely within his inventory, leaving a bad taste in Odin's mouth.
For a moment, Odin could not use his brain as the treasure was all that he could think about, but when he returned to his senses he realised that the Celestial Core being thrown out could only mean one thing!
Max had won this fight!
Max had somehow overcome all odds and defeated Bavuma!
But how could that even be possible? How could a tier7 kid like Max defeat Bavuma?
Although Odin could not wrap his head around it, the reality of the matter remained that he had somehow achieved the impossible and defeated one of the strongest individuals in the universe as a newly ascended tier7!
It was an achievement so monstrous, not even Rudra Rajput himself could claim anything similar.
( Two months later, The Rajput mansion )
" Sister Naomi, please understand, it's not that I don't appreciate your hospitality, but I think it's best if we take Max back with us to Dombivli now…. His courtiers and countrymen are most concerned for his well-being " Asiva said as she glanced over at Max's unconscious body.
It had been two months since Max won over Bavuma, but somehow he had yet to regain consciousness.
According to Odin, Max's soul had rapidly gained strength and increased in size but his body was not yet ready to manage such a large soul which was why it went into a coma.
It wasn't anything to worry about, Max's strength and constitution were being constantly refined and once he was able to contain and equip the full strength of his soul his body was to regain consciousness again.
He estimated that it would take Max anywhere between 3-6 months to regain consciousness, but once he woke up he was going to be several times stronger than when he went to sleep.
Odin also warned that Max might undergo a severe personality shift, however, he wasn't aware that Seraphiel had already warned Max about the dangers of soul absorption and had taught him to use Drax as a filter to avoid the side-effects.
But since both Rudra and his family were unaware of this, they took Odin's cautionary words extremely seriously as Rudra insisted that Max stay at the Rajput mansion till he made a full recovery.
One never associated the word 'Paranoid' when they described Rudra Rajput, the supreme ruler of the universe, however, paranoid was exactly what he had become ever since Bavuma showed up.
Rudra 100% blamed himself for Max's current condition as he believed that he had grown too complacent thinking that he was the best.
Not only was the universe riddled with countless unknown dangers, but there were old monsters with methods that bypassed Rudra's means of detection which meant that he could never be too cautious.
When the queen gave him the odds for Max's victory, he felt his heart jump out of his chest as he had a gloomy feeling that he might lose his brother.
From that point onwards, all Rudra did was solemnly pray for Max's survival as he could not bear to bury his own brother.
If Max had died, Rudra would have turned into a vengeful beast and entire galaxies would have burnt.
However, miraculously, Max had not only survived but won against an opponent that Rudra would have to fight seriously and Rudra took that event as a major blessing.
In the two months hence, Rudra had paid a personal visit to every neutral and enemy monarch and intimidated them personally into staying the f* away from his family.
He diverted 10% of the queen's computation power to look for any hidden threats and the remaining seeds and their owners if there were any while also actively looking for Bavuma's planet where Odin claimed was the biggest repository of ancient knowledge.
Rudra wanted to learn everything there was to be learnt and neutralise any threats before they became significant enough to harm his loved ones, as he never wanted to assume again that he was the strongest and that his family was now safe from all threats.
" It's not that I mind you taking your husband back…. But you know Rudra…. He won't listen to anyone in this regard " Naomi replied, pursing her lips as she felt helpless to aid Asiva.
Although this was the ' Rajput ' mansion and Asiva was part of the Rajput family, somehow she did feel like a guest staying in the house when everything was said and done. I think you should take a look at ραΠdαsnovel.cοm
It wasn't a hospitality problem, or an intimacy problem, but as long as she psychologically believed that Dombivli was her home, she would always feel like a guest anywhere else in the world.
" Perhaps you can try talking to him yourself? " Naomi suggested as Asiva instantly threw her hands up in surrender.
Although Rudra was nothing but warm towards her, she had goosebumps run down her spine anytime he looked at her.
Rudra was a supreme being whose aura reeked of suppression and while the other monsters of the Rajput family felt ' okay ' around him, Asiva felt intimidated out of her mind in his presence.
Let alone confronting him, even holding a normal conversation proved to be difficult as Asiva would much rather let Max stay in the Rajput house for a few more weeks than try and confront Rudra about the issue.
" Oh come on, he won't eat you- " Naomi said with a pout as she could not understand why both Anna and Asiva would not dare talk to her husband?
They somehow made Naomi feel like Rudra was some sort of a mad tyrant that was impossible to talk to, however, little did Naomi know that Rudra actually was a mad tyrant.
The proof of his tyranny was his treatment and visit to the kingdom of life, as he confronted Beniogre and forcefully stole the seed of life.
( 10 days ago- , The Kingdom Of Life )
After Rudra gave the queen the order to find the remaining seeds, she located one inside the kingdom of life in the possession of the goddess of life Beniogre.
Since Rudra was already touring the universe intimidating all monarchs, he decided to pay a visit to Beniogre as well and kill two birds with one stone.
He dropped in the middle of her church, breaking the ceiling and entering unannounced as hundreds of paladins immediately rushed him believing him to be some assassin trying to murder their goddess.
" WHO DARES ?" shouted one of the paladins as he immediately received a resounding slap across his cheek from Beniogre of all people who was probably the most non-violent individual in the universe.
SLAP*

The entire hall was stunned into silence, not because Rudra had shown up, but because Beniogre willingly chose to hurt another soul!
" This lowly monarch greets the Supreme Lord, the enslaver of the universal queen and the protector of all life " Beniogre said, dropping to one knee as immediately the entire church followed suit.
Everyone of Beniogre's paladins were shocked when they saw Rudra.
One would assume that the Supreme Lord of the universe would arrive at any location with grandeur.
He would have a large entourage of followers who would have previously informed the state that he planned to visit about his arrival so that they could make the necessary arrangements to receive him, but no-
Rudra arrived at any place he wanted to be like an uncouth barbarian. Appearing unannounced, thrashing property and acting bossy.
If it were anyone else, such behaviour would be considered as ' Rude ' and ' Unacceptable ' but since it was Rudra, everyone automatically gave him a pass.
" Forgive me, Oh Supreme Lord, this lowly one failed to recognise your great self " said the paladin who dared question Rudra's arrival as he apologised for his stupid mistake.
Rudra waved him off, he did not care about whether or not tier6 god's recognised him.
He was visiting the Kingdom of Life with a clear agenda and that was all that mattered for him at the moment.
" Rise Beniogre, it doesn't reflect well on me if I make an elder such as yourself bow- " Rudra said as Beniogre's face instantly darkened.
As a woman, the worst sort of insult that Rudra could have given her was that she looked like an old lady and that was exactly what he did.
" Surely I don't look like an elder, Supreme Lord, although I'm pure, I'm the object of wild fantasies for many " Beniogre said bashfully as she squeezed her chest to make it bulge out and tried to look cute.
Had it been any other man but Rudra, he would have had a nosebleed watching Beniogre perform such actions as if she was a teenager in love, however, Rudra did not give a solitary fuck about the physical appearance of the goddess.
" Ofcourse, the mother of two is as pure as a virgin maiden " Rudra said sarcastically as the entire church felt like the Supreme Lord was purposefully crushing their hearts.
The deeper fanatics of the church believed that the two children of the goddess were born through the miracle of life and without her having to taint herself.
In their minds it was practically ' Asexual ' reproduction, while even in the minds of those who knew the truth, Beniogre was pure because she never took more partners than one.
However, Rudra mocking Beniogre's purity was something new as never had they seen anyone treat their beautiful goddess as trash like Rudra was doing now.
As prideful as Beniogre was, such behaviour from Rudra should have made her feel repulsed or agitated, however, she oddly felt attracted to Rudra because of how little he cared about her.
Having this inherent need to be a people pleaser, Beniogre could not stand the thought of someone as important as Rudra not liking her as she subconsciously started her attempts to seduce the great man.
" To what do I owe the pleasure of the supreme lord's visit today ? " Beniogre asked in the kindest and most servile voice as her voice itself was extremely soothing to any ear that heard it.
" Let's talk in private, the conversation we are about to have is not of the public nature " Rudra said as he waited for Beniogre to lead the way, however, the goddess suddenly began to blush as she said " Oh lord…. " which gave Rudra goosebumps from head to toe. I think you should take a look at ραΠdαsnovel.cοm
" Get your mind out of the gutter…. " Rudra said, extremely repulsed by her antics as Beniogre pursed her lips and smiled as she led the way to a more private location.
( Meanwhile Regus Aurelius )
" Reporting to the King, the vampire counteroffensive has started successfully.
We have had some minor success so far, recovering two sparsely populated planets and have now set up vantage points for an important raid.
The Dreamfolks clan and the Twilight clan are the biggest contributors to the success so far and are feeling confident in being able to retake a key planet housing over 100 million vampire citizens in the next two months as long as Ulrich or Dracula don't interfere " The servant reported as Regus nodded his head in approval.
" Send monetary aid and token rewards for the Dreamfolks and Twilight clan, and send excellent chefs and ingredients to the front lines to sponsor a great morale-increasing banquet at the state's expense.
Assure them that should Ulrich or Dracula dare to interfere, the vampire society will have their backs and would not let them single handedly suffer major losses.
They have my green light to begin their assault " Regus commanded as several scribes noted his words and instantly converted them into a sealed letter.
" My King, Lord Falcon Twilight has raised concerns over starting the attack before Lord Max wakes up from his coma.
He believes that sir Max is the best choice to protect his clan should Ulrich strike and wishes to wait until he makes a full recovery " The servant informed as Regus's face darkened.
The vampire offensive had already suffered a blow because after all his big claims Max Rajput had gone into a coma for unknown reasons.
The Rajputs were sure that he would wake up between 3-6 months time, however, Regus did not like wasting time for his awakening when the entirety of the Vampire society was ready for the counteroffensive.
If it were up to Regus, he would much prefer that Max never wake-up at all, however, he knew that it wasn't going to be possible.
The brat was harder to kill than a cockroach and Regus had an inkling that he would wake up stronger than ever once this crisis was over.
ραndαsnοvεl.cοm
" No, tell Falcon to start the counteroffensive.
If he runs into problems when Lord Max is still unavailable, assure him that Lord Vega Titus will fill in for Max.
Either way, there will be someone to counter Ulrich if he shows up and the Twilight clan would not suffer monumental losses " Regus commanded as he decided to divulge the responsibilities of Max upon Vega for the time being.
