This is Team Tony/Team Iron Man Oriented.
Telling you straight up now, if you're expecting a big fun Cap-friendly and Wanda-friendly story, you might as well not read this. Or read on, but don't troll the comments.

This story starts after Age of Ultron, after the scene where Tony drives away from the Compound, and it will continue through Civil War and beyond.
Now the Supergirl characters will appear, but not right away. (They may appear in flashbacks sooner than their actual selves will appear in any 'present day' scenes) right now Kara is the only character from her earth/dimension in the MCU.
And Tony's pairing is undecided (I may not ship him, or I might just have him with platonic relationships, we shall see XD)
Anyway, on with the prologue.
Tony continued down the road as the Avengers compound had long since become a speck in the distance of his rearview mirror. He'd elected to take a more scenic route on his way back and was currently taking advantage of no one else being around to let loose with the accelerator, testing the customizations he'd made to his Audi.
He'd officially stepped back from the Avengers, taking an indefinite leave of absence from the 'team' after everything that had transpired from Ultron. In the few days that had passed since the Battle of Sokovia he'd been fielding a lot of the cleanup and aid work with the Maria Stark Foundation as well as branching out and recruiting other charitable organizations to help donate and send relief to the people of Sokovia.
He'd had some help from Maria Hill, but mostly he'd been handling it himself, as well as preparing and ironing out his legal defence and case for the hearings that were coming up.
The issue of Ultron and his hand in the AI's creation was being thrown around a lot, however Tony had been able to already show his legal team the lab recordings and data and been able to explain the issues surrounding the sceptre, and the fact the Mind Stone within it had held a form of alien AI within it that had latched onto his systems and assimilated the Ultron programming, corrupting its purpose and duty in a perverted goal of genocide against humanity.
He had also made sure to get Thor's speech after Vision's birth, explaining that the Mind Stone had been responsible for Ultron. A fact he was sure to get Thor to recount more thoroughly on video over the past few days as added weight to his argument.
During this time Thor had also personally apologized for his overreaction following the fight at Stark Tower, and how he had choked Tony. The billionaire had been internally weary and on guard around Thor after that and during the conflict with Ultron, aware of just how much strength Thor possessed and the slightest miscalculation of pressure could have ended his life.
Thor however had been genuinely apologetic, taking full responsibility for his actions and temper as well as forgetting the danger he had presented towards Tony, who without his armor was only a baseline human. Tony had accepted the apology, and over the next few days had managed to rebuild some of the rapport he had with the Asgardian before the fight, however he knew it would take some time to recover fully from the phantom sensation of Thor holding him up off the ground like that.
One reason Tony had accepted Thor's apology was due to him being one of the only members of the team who had made apologies after Sokovia. Steve hadn't apologized for blaming Tony, nor attacking him during the birth of Vision. Tony still recalled the speed his shield had when it had come straight for him, only his armor arriving in time having saved him from possible death or serious injury.
He wondered if Steve knew the amount of force he'd put behind the throw, or if he was just so accustomed to not holding back against the Hydra forces they faced, that his muscle memory just took over. Tony wasn't sure which was true, or if he cared.
Steve's actions and treatment during this conflict was another reason Tony had to get away from the team. He'd tried to treat Steve cordially, even jovially after the fall of SHIELD, thinking the amount of time that had passed with him in the modern world, as well as social interaction possibly having smoothed over some of the rough edges of his personality and their time on the Hellicarrier.
It hadn't.
Tony found himself dealing with the same ego driven posturing and self righteous stubbornness he'd faced before. Arguably even more so when Steve now considered himself the ultimate authority and leader of the team, with no one above him or able to question his leadership.
And Tony had found himself delegated to the financier and tech support of the team, as well as dealing with the foreign offices and overseas aspects of the Avengers, with Maria helping as the liaison between the team and the governments they dealt with when travelling internationally. A set of guidelines and processes Tony didn't think Steve had even considered or knew existed.
He hoped Steve would at least continue to follow the established guidelines and international mandates for the team he'd set in place, and let Maria do her job.
Another issue, a major one if he was being honest for his departure from the team, was Steve's adamant stance on Wanda Maximoff. Tony had been ready to hand her over to the authorities after the battle of Sokovia, having more than enough reason to do so given her crimes.
However Steve kept arguing in her defence, saying that Tony was being unsympathetic to her situation given her past and her brother's death, that she had seen the error of her ways and wanted to make amends by joining the team.
Tony wondered if Steve had suffered too many blows to the head during the battle. Or more alarmingly, if Maximoff was in his head again.
He'd tried arguing against it, but Steve had pulled a hail mary out of his ass by contacting the president and arguing Wanda's case.
Tony knew President Ellis had been a long time fan of Captain America all of his life and that Steve's opinion and word held sway with the man. However he also knew since the fall of SHIELD, and Steve's actions during it, that the once former die hard fanboy Ellis had experienced somewhat of a wakeup call, and was not so ready to just say yes to whatever Steve asked for, wanting him to state his case before he would give his verdict on it.
He'd listened to Steve's argument with consideration and agreed only after making Steve responsible for her during her time in the US, as well as sorting out her Visa status and citizenship requirements.
Steve also assured Ellis he would make sure Wanda received proper training in the use of her abilities.
Tony doubted Steve even knew about the visa and citizenship requirements or processes that would take to get them, as well as the time it would take. And probably was already planning to ask Tony to use his connections and wealth to try and grease the wheels or fast track the process, though of course Steve wouldn't see it as a bad thing, no he would more likely see it as Tony making things right regarding Wanda's parent's deaths.
Tony was also looking into that claim too regarding the bomb, not trusting the word of two, at the time traumatized eight year olds who saw a weapon with his name on it.
He could count on both hands, multiple times, how many fakes and reproductions of his weapons had been sold illegally. There was also the chance Obadiah had a hand in it, if it was indeed an SI weapon, Stane would have been the one to sell it illegally, and if it had malfunctioned it would have been from the stock of defective weaponry that was meant for repurposing or disassemblement.
When Tony had been in the business of supplying weapons to the US, quality control and efficiency were perfect, improved upon from Howard's day when the weapon success rate had a near perfect success rate. No weapon sold by SI legally was defective by the time Tony had full reign of the company, or at least believed so if not for Obadiah pulling strings behind his back.
Tony couldn't feel safe around Wanda, not since he saw the effects she'd had on the others, and her powers were just unsettling combined with the fact she and her brother had volunteered for powers to help them kill the Avengers, as well as him specifically out of the group out of some misplaced sense of revenge.
Maybe some time to think and re-evaluate her life might do her some good. But Tony wasn't holding onto hopes for that.
As he continued to drive along, Tony was about to turn on the radio for some background noise when out of nowhere a blurring blue object came hurtling out of the sky and crashing into the road ahead, the impact sending debris flying outwards as Tony reacted in shock.
He tried to swerve out of the way, but wasn't able to due to car's speed and the proximity of whatever had crashed, and he struggled to maintain control as the back of the Audi went in the crater and whatever had caused it, making Tony grip the steering wheel as he still tried to make a controlled stop as the car jolted and continued on it's course, the back of it exiting the crater as Tony almost lost control of the wheel.
Still swerving slightly, he managed to slam his foot down on the break after clearing the crater and making it to the side of the road, the screeching of tires giving way to the sound of Tony's heavy breathing as for several seconds he sat there, still gripping the steering wheel as his heart was pounding in his chest.
After a minute of regaining his composure, Tony unbuckled his seatbelt and got out of the car, looking back to see the tire marks upon the asphalt as well as the crater situated across the road. His curiosity now overtaking his shock, Tony began to move towards the crater slowly, seeing that it took up the entirety of the road in its circumference. Narrowing his eyes as he inspected the bits of asphalt and road that had been displaced and torn up from whatever had crashed into it and looking around for any other signs of debris, had it been some kind of satellite or drone?
Approaching the edge of the crater he peered down to see it went several feet, inclining around the object he knew he'd run over with the back of the Audi.
Or more specifically the person he was sure he'd run over.
Tony's eyes widened in a combination of confusion and shock at the figure who was lying in the centre of the crater, the torn up earth and asphalt molded around the form of a young blonde woman dressed in what could only be described as something that looked straight out of a comic book.
She even had a cape!
Sliding down into the crater, Tony took in the sight of her. She'd clearly fallen out of the sky but he wasn't seeing any blood, or even signs of serious external injury, save for some scorch marks that seemed superficial and some of her outfit had small tears and cuts in it, but again he saw no blood or injury coming from under the tears.
His mind was racing at the questions he had and theories that were forming, none of which the unconscious woman was in any condition to answer.
Was she enhanced? Alien? Mechanical? If it was seven years ago he would be questioning if someone had slipped something into his drink or if this was some kind of hoax like those hidden camera shows. But Tony had seen a lot of insane and wild things since those days, and thus found himself asking those types of questions.
His train of thought was interrupted by the sounds of low groaning, and he looked down to see the mystery woman's eyes flickering slightly, her head turning slowly before going still.
"Hey!" Tony said with slight alarm, reaching down to check her pulse and was glad to see she still had one, as well as the fact the slow rise and fall of her chest showed she was still breathing.
"Ok….Ok, you're not dead. That's good…Unless you're here to invade the Earth or something crazy like that, in which case I'll probably regret what I'm about to do" Tony said to himself as he looked back up to the edge of the crater and then back down to the blonde and reached down, wrapping an arm under her back and with a struggle did the same with her legs.
As he now held the woman in his arms, finding her to be deceptively heavy for someone of her size, but not unmanageable, thanks to years of heavy lifting in the lab Tony had a decent amount of muscle for someone his age, enough to scramble the woman up and onto the road, albeit somewhat unceremoniously before he himself followed and climbed out.
Reaching down, he once again picked up the unconscious blonde and began making his way over to his car where she was deposited in the backseat. When he put her down, he took one last glance at her outfit, particularly the emblem emblazoned on her chest.
"Nice S" he said before taking his place in the front of the car, taking a few seconds to regain his breath before starting the ignition. Activating the built in comm link he had installed into the car he spoke up.
"FRIDAY prep the Med Bay at the tower for my guest, and ensure I'm not disturbed for the rest of the day when I return."
"Of course Boss, everything will be ready by the time you arrive"
Nodding wordlessly, he suppressed the ache in his chest at the distinctly Irish Accented voice, so different from JARVIS, yet at the same time another one of his children.
Taking his mind off this, Tony sped up once again with renewed purpose. Glancing back every so often at the sleeping blonde, his mind once again began to fill with questions, ones he hoped she would be able to answer upon awakening.
