Xavier's my name is dying was my game.
And died hard he did, not paying attention and getting in the train's way but to him it was the opposite where the train bumped into him and the conductor was too busy playing on his tablet to notice the boy in his path. Again, opposite, the train was in the boy's path. Should've been paying attention and not playing;
BLUE ARCHIVE!
"It all started when I woke up and ended when I woke up." Xavier capped off his story with the beginning line to bring it full circle. Like a magic trick it impressed the sole girl who attended his club out of pity. Luscious long blue hair, small twin tails held by hollow squares, her beauty was sculpted at precise angles. It was vastly different in person than looking at her from a screen. The fabric from her jacket to her suit jacket and those pearly white legs–just the perfect thigh to hip length. When they first met in city on a wild chase to catch Wakamo, he just had to get a feel of those thighs first. Getting hit in the gut hurt bad, but at least confirmed that his situation was very much real and not a lucid dream.
When it was all over and the students in his party dispersed, he was left with one that stuck by his side giving him a tour of Schale and most importantly his office which they were in now.
"That's amazing, Sensei." Yuuka clapped slowly, smiling at his tale. Xavier didn't return the smile, having conveniently left out details in his story as to not arouse suspicion. Opises! "But this club you're starting… The Afterschool Sabotage. You haven't given a budget or a mission statement or even gathered enough members to start a club! And you're not a student."
"I'm young enough to look like a student except." Xavier was 20 in college. He still had a young appearance but it was a very masculine one. He wouldn't be able to disguise himself amongst the plentiful female students that inhabited this world unless…
He shelved the thought for now. "How about you be the leader of the club and I just manage it from behind the scenes?"
"I can't do that! I'm already a member of Seminar." She responded so harshly.
Xavier pulled the lever on his office chair and leaned back at an obtuse angle. "This club's a brilliant idea I'm telling you! What I set out to do is solve school problems. There are dangerous entities that live in the ruins and club policies that clash between schools." Something as vague as that got her thinking at least. Being put in this world so suddenly, he didn't get a chance to see the differences between it and the world he perceived on his tablet.
Speaking of tablet, "Hey uhm… I'm supposed to have a tablet companion here right? An AI to help me with my lessons?"
Yuuka watched him flip papers and folders up and down searching for who knows what. "Not that I'm aware of. Teachers are only given a laptop and office to work in." She spun her chair looking at the vacant office that was once home to the previous general student council president. Boxes and half filled documents, notices of budgeting, spare change left on the floor… How could anyone live like this? And Xavier was just making it worse.
"I guess I read the pamphlet wrong." Xavier fell back into his seat with a sigh. Then he pulled the lever making his seat jump back up with a snap that also made Yuuka's spine jump. "I just need members now right? What's the situation like at other schools right now?"
"W-well Gehenna and Trinity seemed to come at a peace last I heard."
Something wasn't right if he arrived after the Eden Treaty. His furrowed brow made Yuuka tilt her head wondering, "Is there something you're thinking about?"
There were plenty of students in Gehenna that would lend a helping hand; to explain if there were any new phenomenons that brought him to this world or strange occurrences that would give the Sabotage Club a reason to persist. He eagerly thought about going there, mostly for Iori who was one of the strongest students, well ingame that is. Maybe it didn't translate here, but if he could convince the Prefect Team… "I'm going to scout new members at Gehenna."
The Problem Solvers, Gourmet Research, and plenty of other misfits that would help him get a better understanding of his situation.
He made his first steps onto campus, ALONE—
And Yuuka made that point very clear, she was not joining him.
Traveling a road on a forest underpass he was alone. Trying to keep cool, he kept his hands in his pockets and occasionally looked at the out of his world scenery. If he had a camera he'd take millions of pictures because it was so exotic. Above him was a defunct highway in ruins giving in shade here and there as he passed under it. Gehenna was supposed to look like a rusted hell hole and while the outskirts did look abandoned, it didn't look like the nightmarish first circle of hell students hyped up. Instead, just desolate but recovering; perhaps made out of the unity between it and Trinity.
"Is that him?"
"He certainly looks like a Sensei."
Xavier overheard voices behind but didn't turn to look. He did slow down his pace a little, but that only served against him.
"Hey mister~!"
He turned quicker than the wind—
"Think fast!"
A bodybag!
"Huh?!"
BOO– riiinnngggg!
"It all started… when I woke up…" He found himself flattened in a hospital bed again, giving his life story to a face that at least brought him some relief.
"Mhm…" Serina, the pink haired nurse, and part time stalker stalked him at the right time and delivered him to her school's infirmary to nurse him back to health after his body was blown in half by some pranksters who didn't know the meaning of limitation, and being Sensei, he had the physicality of a tree branch that could be easily snapped in half and fixed by duct tape. Serina tapped the pen on her lower lip before asking, "Are you aware that the route you were taking was the 'full range route'? There's only one way to safely get onto Gehenna campus. The rest of the area is no holds barred."
"I was unaware…" Xavier moaned. Serina nodded having completed her doddle of sensei with an 'x' crossed out on his abdomen then flipped the clipboard to show him the crude drawing. "Well fortunately only one of your ribs is broken. If I found you any later than your entire liver, spine, and heart would be gone!"
"I would be dead..." He responded too dryly for Serina to hear. Then a thought crossed his mind giving him the strength to sit up and face her. "How did you find me anyway? I don't even know your name and you don't know mine." he lied.
"I remember your chase against Wakamo. That was the biggest news all over."
That happened 2 weeks ago and it didn't feel big. Only Yuuka cared enough to visit him after it. He was put on the GSC and did a lot of paperwork here and there, but nothing that made him feel truly special. He was just another cog in the machine, like what happens after someone wins the lottery. National news, but after they're never heard of again.
Serina placed her hand over her track jacket. "You were so close to catching her and even stood toe to toe! I was curious how you were able to do it so I watched your every movement from a distance."
Creepy, but he was thankful someone was there to prevent him from dying again due to a bratty kid's stupid prank. The fight against Wakamo was nothing special either. He just gave some basic commands and that was that. Were the students so inept that all they needed was an adult role model?
He wasn't going to survive in this world with this notoriety and without a weapon to defend himself with. It came down to this. "Serina, give me your uniform!"
"E-excuse me?!"
"I was going to Gehenna for a very important meeting but I'm not gonna survive with the fame I have, and looking like this. I stand out too much!"
"Pervert… pervert…" She inched away then turned to face him again. "But if it's for your safety…I suppose I can lend you my Christmas dress."
"That'll work. That'll work real nice…"
His comments of relief made her blush red and hurry out the room. His eyes scanned the room finding plenty of tools he could use to make his disguise work including a spare makeup kit a student left. Yes, he thought. All according to plan.
Outside the door, Serina heard an ear piercing banging of metal scraping together and burst open the door only to see the most horrific sight to a girl's eyes and the height of all things perverted. She wanted to scream but instead she drooled and watched him lower his crown, a hanger bent out of shape to resemble a halo of some kind to stand on his brushed hair put into low pigtails to look like a loli. He turned around slowly like a God, but there was no God in this room containing her and a sinner.
"H-h-h-here..! "
She held out the clothes with her arms trembling, carefully trying not to drop the king's ropes.
"Thank you." The most awkward interaction he had ever in his life in both worlds.
After getting dressed they left the room together with Serina leading the way so as to not have eyes drawn onto the pretty new student. Pretty enough to get away from the eyes of the average members of schools but certainly not someone like Nagisa if they ever encountered. Passing them was the tall angelic nurse, Mine, who at least saw a glimpse of Xavier; their eyes having crossed each other when he turned the corner with Serina. Just like his suspicions, she would have her own.
Again he made his first steps onto campus, WITH A VENGEANCE!
This time partnered with Serina to defend him on his way to find information. Awesome infiltration mission. He pulled back the slide of his uzi and it snapping back made him jump and drop it. Serina just looked at him out of concern as he chuckled to save face and picked the borrowed gun back up.
"I uh… never used a gun before." He playfully rubbed the back of his head.
"I have a feeling you just wanted to cross dress for the sake of it. Don't worry, your secret is safe with me." Serina took his hand and one by one showed him how the gun operated. She unfolded the stock so he had better handling shooting it in semi auto mode and firing at highway rubble as practice. Scariest thing of his life for sure. At least being close to Serina was calming, and her voice so soothing as she explained.
Xavier nodded and gestured with his thumb. "Alright. You hold the front and I'll assist you from the back."
Serina stammered. "But I'm not a good shoot–"
A line of smoke and bullets lined their feet. Serina braced herself then moved back to grow the distance between her and the attacker. Xavier gave up and dove for the bushes screaming. His tactical dodge hyper evasion allowed him to avoid all bullets during the dive. Serina slid towards his cover joining him behind the rubble.
"I thought there was a treaty!?" Xavier cried.
"No holds barred zone remember?"
"Oh."
Serina frowned. "I warned you. This route isn't safe at all! Most Gehenna students are still upset over what happened." She pointed across from him. "We can escape and hide over there. There should be a cave most students have a hard time finding."
"No!" Xavier lifted his gun to his face, tightening his grip. "It wouldn't be Blue Archive without a gun fight..!"
"Huh?"
He wasn't going to let a couple of one shot grunts stop him on his advance. He was the sole one who could stand a chance against Wakamo for heaven's sake. That held more implications than it let on. All for the Sabotage Club. "All for the Sabotage Club!" He screamed against the hailfire of bullets.
