Cutting to the final scene...
Back at Weeenie Burger, after a long-lasting terrible stomachache, Nick Wilde is back on his feet.
"Ugh! Just why did I accept those kids challenge?!" he groaned, feeling his stomach will need a looong time to recuperate from this ordeal. "I think I need some fresh air, or as fresh as a parkingway can be."
With those words and a bit of struggle to get his legs working, the police fox exited the fast-food joint. And just as he said, he took a deep breath of air. "Whew! I gotta say, not really bad! I expected-!"
*Zooom!*
"*Cough* W-What the-*Cough*!" Just as Nick thought he could finally catch a break and enjoy a breath of fresh air, fate had other plans. A vehicle sped past him and a cloud of smoke from the burned fuel engulfed the predator officer and blocked his sight. "Wait that sound like-!" he exclaimed, recognizing the sound of the engine originating from none other than his own patrol car. In a moment or two, the smoke thinned enough to prove that he was right. That was his patrol car! Well, more it was his and Judy's, but nonetheless!
"Open up, car thief!" shouted Nick, knocking on the glass of the vehicle door. "Normally, I'd tip my hat to the one who'd managed to get the car when I'm not around, but I'm not in particularly good mood right now!"
At his response, while he couldn't see into the vehicle to get a look at the thief, he could definetly hear giggling from inside, and not just from one guy. "So you're not alone, eh?" he asked. "Last warning! Open up or I'll-!"
"Or what? Laught without a care~?" came a voice from the car. One that the fox officer knew. The window of the car soon fell, allowing to se that it was Judy Hopps, his partner... and three kids dressed up like her?
"What is with the kids?" he bluntly asked.
"It's a long story." she replied, looking fondly at the trio. "But for short, I've made some friends who truly helped me when you've been losing at a food-eating contest!"
"H-How did-! Y-You see, S-Sweetheart-!" Nick stuttered, pulling at his collar. H-How did she found out!? Now that he took a better look at the kids seated besides her, he recognized them from the restaurant, meaning that they told her everything, meaning he's in trouble...
"I'm not mad." she causally replied, catching him off guard. A very rare fact from him, only being managed by few. "I'm still angry by your conduct today regarding your duties, but I'm also guilty. This isn't Zootopia, it's Acme Acres, and I needed to learn the rules of the city to play."
Nick blinked, remembering that he told her something similar when they first met long ago when she was a rookie. "Just what did I miss?" he asked, shocked by such a drastic change in her behaviour.
"Just the weirdest party ever, even by Acme Acres standards!" Babs responded, making the fox gape.
"A party!? You, Carrots!?" Nick gasped.
"With zhe greatest dresses ever!" added Fifi.
"Dresses!? You Carrots!?" he repeated, mouth agape.
"And with our help, she, like, saved the party from being brainwashed and stuff!" declared Shirley, as Nick mouth hit rock bottom.
"You're joking, right...?" asked Nick, barely managing to keep his calm.
"Nope, it's all true." Judy smirked pridefully. "And at the party I've met someone that we're quite familiar with." she leveled down the back window, allowing her partner to see the culprits.
"Bellwether!?" he shouted, eyes open wide as in their car backseat was the crazy sheep they defeated along with some two rottweilers, all knocked out to make things even crazier for him to process. "Wasn't she supposed to be in jail?!" he asked, barely managing to hold himself together.
"True. Like she wasn't supposed to be in Acme Acres, but that's just the tip of the iceberg." Judy informed him. "We'll talk about this later."
She soon got out of the car along with the trio as they joined Nick. "I guess this is it..." she sighed. "It was a truly weird adventure, but can't say that I hated every moment of it. Thank you for showing me how to deal with problems, Acme Acres-style."
"Like, no problem, girl pal. We needed this adventure and stuff." Shirley replied. "Now, I'm, like, not even that mad at Plucky anymore."
"You're not!" came a voice from inside the burger joint. Plucky Duck exitedly rushed out and hugged the young waterfowl. "Thank you, Shirl! I don't know what I'll do if you don't talk with me for the rest of our Looniversity years!" he exclaimed, hugging her tightly.
"Like, let me go! I can't breathe!" she shouted as the green duck released her from his desperate hold. "Like, thanks, I guess."
"Anything else, my dear avian?" he asked in excitement. "I promise I won't ever make you angry ever again."
Shirley rolled her eyes, fully knewing Plucky, and that he'll be back to his egotistic self sooner or later. "Fiiine. Like, go inside and order some smoothies and stuff."
"With pleasure, my love!" he replied, dashing back inside.
"..."
"Awkward..." commented Nick.
"Anyway... I'm glad that I made friends like you in Acme Acres." Judy said, returning to the main conversation with the trio.
"We too." Babs replied, fidgeting with her uniform badge. "And now that we're cops, we'll have some loony adventures to be sure."
Judy blinked, "Uh... you know that it was a temporary agreement? You are still kids with school lives, not adults like me and Nick."
"Wait... But aren't we, like, police officers? We've got, like, the outfits and badges." Shirley asked.
Judy sighed, "These are just honorary badges. It's more of a title that I gave to you three."
"So we are not officers?" Babs asked.
"Technically no." Judy shook her head. "You need to officially enroll in the academy and go through many tests of physical and mental endurance and... you don't seem really happy about it..." Judy paused, looking at the trio disheartened looks. They look quite disappointed. Thankfully she knows what would cheer them up. "...But even without any official training you proved yourselves as great members of the police force. In spite of facing someone as Bellwether, you never lost hope and trusted in one another when I had my doubts. I am very proud of working with you all!" she saluted them, prompting the trio to do the same. Soon they couldn't hold the pose anymore, and just hugged Judy, surpring her in the process.
"We're going to miss you!" Babs uttered in tears. "We just became friends and you need to return to your home! It's not fair!"
"Uh... but-!" Judy tried to say, but was stopped by a crying Shirley.
"Like, we wanted to have at least a slumber party before you leaved!"
"Oui! And talk about boys! Eet's not fair!!!" Fifi declared in tears, making this more awkward for the police rabbit, while her partner could barely hold himself from laughting.
"Uh... I'm still going to be in here for another month." Judy plainly replied, catching the trio offguard as they let her go.
"Well, now we're feeling sheepish." Babs commented, a sentiment also shared by Fifi and Shirley.
"Fufu! I guess you do." Judy replied. "Me and Nick will bring Bellwether and her henches to the local police station for interrogation about her prison break, but I know we'll see each other. With my current assignment, I can't say it will be tomorrow or some other day, but I know we'll meet again."
"Don't break your promise then." Babs added, making Judy smile.
"I won't, kids!" she replied. Getting back in the car, she signaled Nick to get in too.
She started the engine and no sooner than late, leaved the very place that helped to create a friendship between girls that won't be forgotten for a long time.
THE END
