'Stay out of drama. Respect the rules. And don't play with a man who has a jealous girlfriend.'

― Sofia from You, Me, Us, Them

Rare times that Dr. Webb stepped out of the medical ward and onto the field were attention grabbing. Meaning whatever spider person team got assigned to work with him. Witnessed parts of him Miguel discovered when in private with him or could be alone with him. His strength, advanced senses, and reflexes were an eye opener to some. Creative uses he put his own web shooter through while taking advantage of the strength of spider silk. Enforced the rumors that already existed about him.

"Anyone else?" He asked LAYLA, "Not that new batch we're interested in."

"Nope," LAYLA showed him the list, "You'll be all done and your Portal awaits."

"Other words," He knew what she meant, "Full of usual exams and meeting with therapist Spider Man?"

"Cuddle time with a big man." LAYLA knew when DND mode was used in Miguel's office.

He wore a slight smile when he removed his gloves when the team started to head through before him. Done with containing the anomaly and cleaning up the problem it made on Regency Era earth. He would never be able to step foot through after LAYLA got ready to scan. Halted when an alert came over his wristband about complete power failure at Spider Society. Portal travel would be down for a few hours and he would be left stranded. He would need to find a place to wait and not disturb the universe he was in.

"Is everything going to be ok?" Person he treated asked him, "I got this tingle in the base of my spine about something being wrong."

"Can't return home for a few hours," He answered him, "Got any ideas?"

"I have one, " The person answered him, "Since Lord Miguel doesn't want me working right off. Despite my return to my sight and adjusting to living with him."

"I am listening." Dr. Webb was all ears.

Being brought into the life of his Regency Era counterpart in a regal mansion with full staff. Didn't bother Dr. Webb since he didn't stay with the main house of O'Hara estate. He was just given a minor tour from the nursery where children played and lived. Both were 8 years of age, Lady Gabriella was Lord Miguel's daughter and Jabril Webb was Regency Era Marsh's son. Were privately tutored by the governess by a worldly woman named Layla. Had them moving from the bedroom with a massive play area. Into the hallway they walked with the layout being shown when they reached the stairwell.

"Hallway we came from," Dr. Webb turned toward the direction they walked from , " …is where the personal bedrooms of Lord Miguel's family live. That includes his adopted daughter, his last surviving parent, and nursery."

"Guests and servants?" He asked.

"Other side of the stairwell are guests," Other end was pointed out, "Come I'll show you the lower parts."

Walking tour of the first floor and basement areas was where servants got a look at Marah's brother. He was introduced to them as black sheep of the Webb family with artistic talent. Came by to visit his little brother after hearing news about his vision. This gave Dr. Webb to kindly wave at the maids the passed with his best smile. Which had those giggling as they spread the word throughout the estate about this person. The ear they ended up finding they were into was one belonging to the owner of the estate. His keen hearing picked up on what two maids he summoned two show locals out. Just chatting about it after he helped settle a dispute over a herd of goats. After logging about the settled spat in his journal like he did after wrong with farmers and such. Instead of relaxing in his private corner of his family's estate and then visit his daughter.

Up off his desk chair that was angled to the large windows that gave a view of the back garden. Out of his study he went to start searching for Marah and his rumored brother. Figuring the three places they were already exploring with the first floor by now. Had Lord Miguel heading to the first one being a formal lounge used for entertainment for formal occasions. Not wasting another second when he picked up his pace. Walking a familiar layout he ran through beside his own brother since grew up within these walls. Lullabies of his mother's voice in nursery to lectures of his late father. Mixed with memories of his late wife and how they interacted before he lost her to childbirth. His heart may not have ached any more when still hears her giggle or sees her smile. Since that void was filled by a smile of another he had come to adore.

"Mi corazón." He shouted Marah's nickname when he found them.

"Migs," Marah reminded him, "I thought I told you not in front of family, close friends, your business partners, and fellow nobles."

"My heart?" Dr. Webb asked Marah.

"Means," Marah tried to explain endearment, "That I reignited his passion for living after years he spent lost in grief and darkness. Now he sees days through new eyes then bleak existence he flowed through."

Which Marah would have gone on, if Lord Miguel hadn't charged into the room with his sights set. Reaching out and lifting Marah away from his brother into his arms with eyes only for him. Tension of the day left his body as he found himself relaxing within Marah's presence. Marah in turn wrapped his arms around Lord Miguel's neck. Allowing those strong arms to embrace him loosely and his scent to be inhaled when drawn. Right into a loving embrace by Lord Miguel with Dr. Webb watching them.

"You two look adorable," Dr. Webb's comment offended Lord Miguel, "Like a scene from one of those romance novels."

"When is he leaving?" Lord Miguel mumbled to Marah.

"I am just showing him around," Marah replied, "He's staying at my old place in town."

"If he can not be nice toward our relationship," Lord Miguel warned Marah, "I will not be responsible for my actions."

Dr. Webb tried not to openly scoff at the statement when a few feet away from them and hanging above the mantle. Full portrait of Lord Miguel's late wife looking down on them with a gentle smile. No sign of ever being taken down since being placed there after being commissioned. Kinda bothered Dr. Webb in a way despite how Lord Miguel currently acted toward Marah.

"I warned you," Marah reminded Lord Miguel, "My family isn't as kind as yours."

"He is proving that." Lord Miguel locked eyes with Dr. Webb.

Marah reached up to cup the side of Lord Miguel's face before standing on his tiptoes to place a kiss. Landed on the corner of Lord Miguel's mouth which tightened the embrace. Got eye roll from Dr. Webb stuck watching a possessive streak of Lord Miguel come out. Drew up a memory of when he shared a kiss with Miguel back in his reality. He spent the night at Miguel's apartment after a pretty long work week.

Town surgery was managed by a former nurse that Lord Miguel had hired to assist Marah. Which Dr. Webb was glad to have met when Marah took him. He greeted the maiden as best he could as she gave him the cold shoulder. Passing eye and hair flip she gave Marah when walking by was duly noted.

"Does she know you're in a relationship with the Lord, that was once her employer?" Dr. Webb asked Marah.

"Actually she once tried seducing Migs in his study around the time my sight started to return," Marah recalled, "Her choice in undergarments were amusing at best. Just he wasn't very turned on by the sudden act."

"Naughty." Dr. Webb watched her scurry away.

Marah laughed at the way the nurse was caught eavesdropping on them. When they stepped into the office/ exam area when they arrived.

"Papi,"Jabril yawned as he tugged at his father's pants leg, "Up."

Marah ended up taking his son into his arms before he collapsed onto the floor. Become a chance to show the small hours for the house next to the surgery. They wanted right into the living room/ lounge area from the front door with only a key belonging to Marah.

"Bedrooms are upstairs and kitchen/dining is through there," Marah pointed with a nod of his head, "Basically furnished thanks to my mother with stock kitchen."

"Webb family?" Dr. Webb.

"Father is still alive and happily married with thriving practice back in the city. One sister a year younger than me and my son," Marah informed them, "We all wear the bloodstone spider brooches."

"I don't see yours and Jabril." Dr. Webb points out.

Marah would have said something when out of breath stable hand cane rushing. Dr. Webb told him to calm down and breathe before he started speaking. Gesturing to the direction of the public stables towns people use and saying doc was needed.

"Ready to get your hands dirty?" Marah asked Dr. Webb.

"Let's put the kid to bed and you lead the way." Dr. Webb was all hands on.

Jabril was put in the care of the young nurse before two followed the stable boy. Where they worked together in treating injured parties into the late evening. Left Marah too late to return to the estate for dinner with his son or for a nightcap with Lord Miguel.

"You can cook?" Marah asked Dr. Webb when they headed back.

"Stir fry and chop," Dr. Webb answered, "Maybe a grilled cheese or a soup."

They would have gone on if Gabriella didn't come running down towards them. Dr. Webb was the one who caught her before she stumbled and landed on her face. Holding her with one arm when he stood up to check her. Which amazed her since only her father could do that with her.

"Cariño," Marah addressed her, "What are you doing here? You know your papi doesn't like you running away from the estate. Alone. To come see me at the hour."

"I didn't come alone," She giggled, "Layla and papi came with me since you and Tio Webb weren't at dinner."

Two didn't have to think twice at who was waiting for them in the small house. A meal made by Layla was laid out for them as she greeted them. Via the back door while amused by blood they wore.

"Rough day," Layla whistled at Dr. Webb, "Just heard about what happened."

"Messy but salvageable." Dr. Webb put Gabriella down.

She then ran to the front half of the house where her father could be found. Dr. Webb and Marah followed her with one splitting off to head up stairs and change. Other walked the way toward an occupied armchair near a fireplace with a roaring fire. Who had scooped his daughter up to pull into his lap when she got close.

"Are we happy now Marah and Tio Webb being in one piece?" Lord Miguel asked his daughter.

She earned her kiss on her forehead before being sent back to her governess after nodding her head. Leaving Miguel to look up at Marah with a smile when he leaned. Single arm resting on one of the armrests As he looked upon Marah from his seat.

"I thought I drop in," Lord Miguel casually commented, "Wait after hearing the news."

"Horses can be a nasty lot," Marah steps closer, "Have to check in some time tomorrow to make sure they're still alive."

"I come prepared," Lord Miguel had his usual things brought, "Infomed mamá and the servants where I'll be until you're done."

"You're going to be content with this?" Marah asked him, "Away …"

He was silenced by Lord Miguel rising from armchair and walking toward him without a care. Closing the gap between them until he could take Marah into his arms and lift him. Eyes softening when he made eye contact with him and took hold of his hand.

"Mi corazón," Lord Miguel, "Only concern I have is the tea you drink since I am happy just being with you."

"Migs," Marah watched his hand being kissed, "You're going to have to put up with mi hermano a bit longer."

"I'll buy him a train ticket to personally see him off," Lord Miguel vowed, "can we forget about my living situation and enjoy the night? First night away from my mother is one where I tend to enjoy it."

Rest of night after Dr. Webb was allowed to join for dinner after goodbyes were given to Gabreilla, Jabril, and Layla. Trio spent bonding late into the night before with drawing to bed. Lord Miguel couldn't keep his hands off Marah as they made their way upstairs. Leaving Dr. Webb in the living room alone to look over messages from his watch band. Only LAYLA's voice could come through since there wasn't enough power for her 3D form. LAYLA informed him that back up power was on and the glitch provision system wasn't damaged. Trying to establish the main power was getting close and he should hold tight. Giving him an actual time of Portal opening was rough one.

"How is everyone?" He asked looking upon the artificial intelligence, " I'm guessing everyone is massively sleeping over at HQ with help in keeping Mayday happy."

"God! I miss playing 20 questions with you." LAYLA sighed.

"How is Spider cat and Jesse doing?" He was worried about them.

"Spider cat's maté and Mrs. Drew hasn't pop yet ," LAYLA shared, "Shated your surprise with bossman despite the lack of your presence."

Being back in HQ just when Miguel gave the order to LAYLA for her to start bringing back dislocated agents. Around the time power for Portals were enough to open them to get everyone back. First wave among them was Dr. Webb within the medical wing of the society. He changed his clothes and was cleared for active duty at the same time. LAYLA was the first to greet him along with the status of the spider cat's pregnant mate. Who was an actual black cat with white markings that wouldn't let anyone near.

"How are we?" Dr. Webb asked when he approached the setup where spider cat and his mate nestled.

He was greeted by the sight of Miguel uncomfortably positioned on a chair next to a set up for the cat couple. A single blanket draped over his shoulders to keep him warm in the drafty space. Happy meows from spider cat as he lay next to his area his mate was laying on. Her puffy tail moved back and forth when she licked one of her paws with little interest. Told Dr. Webb that Miguel had been watching them in his place.

"Guapo," Dr. Webb put aside his tablet, "I can take …"

He couldn't go on when Miguel ended up scooping him into his lap with a blanket falling to the ground. He welcomed the feeling of those sweater clad arms holding him tightly as he reclined. Familiar beat of a heart and sandpaper textured chin coming to rest on one of his shoulders.

"Extrañé que pusieras tanto mi amor." Miguel mumbled out with his morning breath.

"LAYLA," Dr. Webb reached for one of Miguel's hands, "Can you try to get a sleepy head here back to his place."

"I tried and he insisted on waiting here," She showed photos of Miguel throughout the night, "He's been checking on your daughter also."

"Come on Guapo," Dr. Webb took hold of said hand, "I'll work from home."

Upon calling Miguel's apartment home was all that was needed to fully wake Miguel up. Asking when he could LAYLA to fully move Dr. Webb is with him and process paperwork.
