It was loud at the bar.

Han Sooyoung didn't mind. Though she preferred silence whenever she was writing, she thrived in the chaos of the noise when she wasn't. Her boyfriend, Kim Dokja, though, didn't seem used to the volume, bringing up a hand as if to cover one of his ears before dropping it.

Good choice. Their other boyfriend, Yoo Joonghyuk, would surely judge him if he went through with it. Han Sooyoung would judge him too.

The scents were a bit overwhelming, Han Sooyoung had to admit, but only to herself. She wouldn't say it out loud to her boyfriends - her alphas, she thought smugly. Not every omega got two alphas.

Thankfully, she had thought to use her scent suppressors. The scents would be much worse if she could smell her own as well. Looking at Kim Dokja, she wished he hadn't thought of the same things that she had. She could really use his scent.

"Here are your friends," Jung Heewon said, sliding the drinks over to them. She grinned, looking at Kim Dokja in particular. "It's a bit noisy here tonight."

"I can hear that," Kim Dokja said with a sigh, but his smile was fond as he looked at Jung Heewon. "Thanks for the drinks."

She shrugged. "Eh, it's just my job." She reached over the counter and punched Kim Dokja lightly in the shoulder, then looked at Han Sooyoung. "Mhm, it seems that one of you is missing."

"He's in the bathroom," Han Sooyoung explained.

Jung Heewon nodded. "He better come out soon. We're running out of the ingredients for his usual. I can't keep saving them. My shift ends soon."

Kim Dokja sighed. "Ah, you're right, it does." He looked at Han Sooyoung. "Why didn't we come here earlier again?"

"You had to work overtime," she reminded him, and he nodded in acceptance.

Jung Heewon whistled slightly. "Sucks to be you."

"Shut up," Kim Dokja told her, and she laughed, and Han Sooyoung laughed with her.

Yoo Joonghyuk appeared at that time. Unlike Han Sooyoung and Kim Dokja, he had not applied scent suppressors, and his alpha scent was strong. "I'll have my usual," he told Jung Heewon, sitting down on Kim Dokja's other side.

Jung Heewon saluted. "You got it, captain," she said, then disappeared.

Yoo Joonghyuk frowned in her direction, but said nothing.

Han Sooyoung sipped some more alcohol. "Ah, this is the good shit," she murmured, taking another sip.

"I'd hope so," Kim Dokja said with a sigh. "I'm paying."

No, you aren't,Han Sooyoung thought smugly.I'm paying, and you aren't stopping me.She wasn't saying this out loud, though. It was funny to watch Kim Dokja squirm, and she knew that he wasn't actually upset about having to pay, and wouldn't be upset when he found out she would be paying. He'd protest, actually, but she had more money than him, so ha.

She had taken a few more gulps, and Jung Heewon had come back with Yoo Joonghyuk's drink, when Han Sooyoung said, "I think I'll go outside for a smoke."

"Call us if you need us," Yoo Joonghyuk said.

In the past, one or both would offer to go with her, but they knew by now that it was pointless. Besides, it was just a smoke. It wouldn't harm anyone - except her lungs, maybe, but she didn't smoke enough for there to be considerable damage.

"I will," Han Sooyoung said, knowing that she wouldn't need to call because she never needed to call, and then she was squeezing her way through the crowd and out into the fresh air.

Han Sooyoung took out a cigarette and lit it. She stood there for a few minutes or so, taking a very quick smoke, and just before she was ready to head back in, she felt someone grab her arm.

She froze. The hand was unfamiliar. The person was an alpha, but didn't have Kim Dokja or Yoo Joonghyuk's scent.

She didn't know this person at all.

"You look delicious," a voice murmured near her ear, and she tried to elbow the person away.

"Fuck off," Han Sooyoung growled. She felt a small spike of panic as she noticed that ah, some of her scent suppressors had rubbed off.

"I don't know if I'll make a good parent," the alpha said, licking his lips, "but with you I would want pups."

"Get the fuck away from me!" Han Sooyoung kicked out, hitting the person straight in the stomach. He staggered back, but he immediately lunged at her again. She hit out and clawed his cheek, but he was too close, too-

Then a blur of black as Yoo Joonghyuk tackled the alpha, knocking him away from her. Kim Dokja was at her side, rubbing off his own scent suppressors and letting his familiar alpha scent comfort her. "Sooyoung-ah, are you okay?" he murmured.

"I could have handled it by myself," she murmured back, but she was unable to keep the gratitude from her voice.

"Jung Heewon!" Yoo Joonghyuk was yelling at the door, and Han Sooyoung spotted their beta friend standing at it. "Call the police!"

"Already on it!" Jung Heewon shouted back, her phone out. She pressed it close to her ear.

"What are you doing?" the alpha yelled. "She's unmated! I'm in my full rights to hit on her!"

Han Sooyoung shivered and glared at him. "We're taking our time before we put our mating marks on each other, dumbass."

Kim Dokja stroked her shoulder comfortingly. Argh, his scent actuallywasmaking her relax. She wanted to be pissed off, goddammit!

Yoo Joonghyuk was pressing the alpha to the ground. "Stay away from her," he growled out.

Han Sooyoung couldn't help but feel grateful to her alphas, both the one pinning her potential assailant to the ground and the one who had wrapped his arms around her, trying to comfort her. Sure, she could have handled it by herself, but she was glad to have them by her side.

"They're coming," Jung Heewon spoke up, and Han Sooyoung was reluctantly grateful toward her as well.

"Let's go home after this," Kim Dokja told Han Sooyoung.

She laughed. "Where else would we go?"

"Another bar," Yoo Joonghyuk said, and Han Sooyoung laughed again because holy shit, Yoo Joonghyuk was trying to join in on their jokes.

Once she stopped laughing, she smiled and said, "Yeah. Right after this, let's go home."
