Just like Yuuto, Miyabi and Reina had also given their best during the Summer Training Camp in order to get stronger. Both of them wanted to make Yuuto the next Devil King, but they knew it would be no easy task.

Yet, they still invested themselves in that. Every day, they fought against the angel Michael's light clone and slowly but surely worked their way to becoming stronger.

Now, these 2 girls were face to face with Magician's 6 Cards. They might not have known whose Cards they were or exactly how strong their opponents were, but they were happy with a chance to test out their new strength.

They agreed to share their opponents equally amongst themselves. That meant each one would face 3 opponents. Albeit silently, they also agreed to not interfere with each other unless an unexpected situation came.

"Hyaa!"

Reina was the first to move. Being small, she was able to take full advantage of her speed and closed in on all the young men opposing them.

She wanted to see if any of them would pull out a sword or something, but none of them did. She decided to pretend to attack and miss one of them. Since they would need some room if they fought mainly using magic.

"Woah!"

"She's fast, but it looks like her aim is shit."

"Let's divide ourselves and take care of them. You 3 stick to that girl, we take care of this one."

By the way, Noda's Cards stood out about as much as Noda himself. Whether that was because Noda wanted to give people like him preference or because he didn't want anyone that stood out more than him on his team was something only he himself would be able to answer.

In any case, Reina and Miyabi were quickly noticing that these opponents would not be the ones to give them the chance to show how much they had grown.

Another thing that Michael's training helped them develop was a sort of silent communication. The light clone had enough intelligence to listen to what they said and react accordingly, so this silent way of communicating was an ability they were forced to develop during their training.

[So, Reina, whatcha thinkin?]

[They don't seem strong desu. Reina would feel sorry if we were too hard on them.]

[Yeah, I think so too. How about we give them a little while? We have to wait for Stella anyway.]

[Reina agrees desu.]

They both nodded at the other. Not long after that, Magician's Cards started attacking.

By the way, Miyabi and Reina silently agreed to call them Cards A-F, since they didn't know their names, they all seemingly fought using magic, and didn't really look too different from each other. As such, that same naming convention will be used here.

Cards A, B and C focused on Miyabi, while Cards D, E and F focused on Reina. They were in the gymnasium, so the space was quite open and there was a considerable distance between the girls and Noda's Cards.

Normally, that would be a tough situation for close-range fighters like Miyabi and Reina, but, as shown before, they could simply instantly defeat all of them if they so wanted. The only reason they chose not to was because they had nothing better to do.

Cards A, B and C all fired lighting spells at Miyabi. She dodged them by a hair's breadth, but that was just because she didn't want to discourage them. Maybe they could still pull something that would make them opponents worth showing the results of her training.

Something similar was happening on Reina's side, except Card D was using fire magic, Card E was using ice magic and Card F was using explosion magic. But Reina still had an easy time cutting off the ice and dodging the fire and explosions.

"Don't let up!"

"Let's tire them out!"

"They're barely dodging, we can win!"

[Hey, Reina, is it just me or did you do Healing Lovers with Yuuto after you two got home yesterday?]

[N-no, Reina and onii-chan didn't do it… not a lot desu.]

[Aaah! After Stella kept going the whole way back, even I wanted to do it, but I thought Yuuto would have been too tired. If I knew you were going to attack him, I would have joined in! Tell me what you two did!]

[T-that's…]

[What?! You showed up like that in his room?! Weren't you worried your parents might see or hear you? Also, if Yuuto wasn't tired, wouldn't you have gone all the way?!]

[R-Reina wouldn't have had the courage desu.]

[Liar! I can see it in your face that you think it would have been more exciting. It's too unfair that you get to live with Yuuto! Just you wait, I'll tell that to senpai and your days of unfair advantage will be numbered!]

While Magician's Cards thought they were putting a lot of pressure on Miyabi and Reina, the girls were simply having a casual, but silent, conversation. It's one of the perks of what they learned.

Though it was a little hard to hide their true thoughts like that, that's how Miyabi was able to read Reina as a book.

The conversation disguised as a one-sided attack continued for a few minutes. By now, Miyabi and Reina were still in perfect condition while Magician's Cards were starting to get tired.

"D-damn it."

"How, are, they, still, moving?"

"Probably, lots of training, with Lovers, at night."

"Lucky, bastard."

Seeing as the young men were basically out already, Miyabi and Reina thought they should finish this at once and simply wait for Stella after.

But then, all of them felt a rumble. Aspite and Noda's fight had just ended, though they had no way of knowing that.

"What was that?"

"Could it have been Nod- I mean master Noda?"

"Did he have a spell that could make that?"

"Ragnarok maybe?"

"But it doesn't affect anything outside the barrier."

"I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the barrier didn't work. For Magician's Candidate, he's not really that good at magic, just so so."

Reina and Miyabi were listening to the young men. At least they figured out whose Cards they were up against, although it was a bit hard to accept that these were Triumph Cards.

It seemed like the boys forgot about the battle for a moment and started talking about their master, although theirs weren't exactly words of praise. From the image that formed from their talk, the girls had to wonder if there maybe weren't 2 Magician Candidates and only 1 was from the Triumph.

Since they only needed to waste time, Miyabi and Reina didn't interrupt the boys. Instead, they simply got together again and sat down. They didn't really feel like wasting any more energy on them.

A few minutes passed like that. And then, Stella entered the gym.

"Hey, I'm done over here- who are these people?"

"Hey, newbie, did ya win?"

"Don't call me newbie. And of course I did."

Hearing her voice, Magician's Cards turned to look at Stella. It took them a second, but once they recognized her, all color drained from their faces.

Some hesitated whether to fight or run, others simply ran. They knew to not bite off more than they could chew.

"You two need help with them?"

"Nah, we're good. Let's finish it, Reina."

"Yes desu."

Reina and Miyabi got up. Before the young men that were Magician's Cards could take a single step more, Miyabi and Reina reached them.

Reina took out Pon-chan and attacked them. Since she didn't want to kill them, she simply used the blunt side of her sword.

As for Miyabi, she simply knocked out her opponents with one punch.

The young men didn't even have time to react. They were all down on the ground before any of them could react in any way.

"Seriously, who were they?"

"Seems like they're Magician's Cards."

"These guys are Triumph Cards? … They don't look like it."

"Reina also thinks so desu."

Stella was still having trouble believing these 6 nondescript young men were Cards from the Triumph, known as the strongest Arcanas, but she had no reason to doubt Miyabi and Reina.

Since Miyabi and Reina decided to spare them, Stella didn't say anything else.

"We should continue looking for everyone else. I'd like to save my mana, so let's just run around for a bit and hope to bump into someone."

"Yes desu." "Alrighty."

Miybai and Reina's find ended up being a little anticlimactic, but they would soon meet an opponent tougher than they could handle.
