KONICHIWA, FOLKS! KAMENCJ HERE WITH ANOTHER CHAPTER OF REVAMPED TIMELINES! HERE IN THIS CHAPTER, WE WILL GET THE SAMURAI REFIGHT, THE PEWTER GYM REFIGHT, AND THEN ASH'S ATTEMPT AT THE CAMERON PALACE TOURNEMENT! I KNOW YOUR ALL EXCITED FOR IT, AND FRANKLY SO AM I! NOW TO RESPOND TO REVIEWS!

ROYALFIGHTER95: ON THE LIST OF POKEMON THAT SERENA SHOULD CATCH IN THE SAFARI ZONE, GOOD CALLS, BUT I DON'T KNOW IF THAT IS WHAT I'LL GO WITH. BUT THANK YOU FOR THE SUGGESTIONS ON THE PALDEA POKEMON AND OTHER REGIONS! ALSO, ON HAVING ASH RECATCH HIS CANON POKEMON THERE, I'M SADLY GONNA HAVE TO DECLINE. NOT BECAUSE IT IS AN BAD OR EASY IDEA, BUT BECAUSE I WANT TO HAVE EMOTIONAL REUNIONS AND REMEMBERANCE WHEN THEY REUNITE! JUST FEELS MORE NATURAL THAT WAY TO ME. HOWEVER, HE WILL BE GETTING ONE OF EACH OF THE PALDEA TAUROS, WHERE 3 OF THE ORIGINAL 30 ARE NOW PALDEAN TAUROS. AS FOR THE OTHER ONES, I'LL THINK ABOUT THEM.

REDFLARE RANGER: ON BUTTERFREE USING STEEL WING, SORRY! I ACCIDENTLY MIXED UP PIDGEOT AND BUTTERFREE WHILE I WAS LOOKING THROUGH THE MOVES THAT WERE SUGGESTED! SORRY ABOUT THAT! BUT AGAIN, THANK YOU FOR THE RECOMMENDATIONS ON MOVES!

HEROICPONY: OH YEAH! I AM VERY TEMPTED TO DO THAT. DON'T THINK I'LL IMPLAMENT THAT WITH BROCK THOUGH. MISTY'S GYM? ABSOLUTELY! HAVING HER SISTERS BE THE OTHER TRAINERS, AS WELL AS THE FUTURE ONES! AND A GOOD IDEA FOR HOW TO GET ASH'S SIRFETCHED BACK! GONNA NEED SOME TIME TO FIGURE IT OUT WITHOUT IT BEING FORCED THOUGH.

CROSSOVERFAN: WELL, I TOOK AN IDEA FROM LET'S GO AND GAVE THEM A BAG THAT CAN STORE POKEMON IN IT! HOWEVER, WHILE THEY CAN HAVE A TOTAL OF 36 POKEMON ON HAND (6 ON THE BELT AREA AND 30 IN THE BAG) I AM GOING TO BE HAVING IT TO WHERE IF THEY EXCEED THAT, THEY GO STRAIGHT TO OAK OR A CERTAIN SOMEONE THEY MEET IN VERMILLION!

MOONLIGHT KING: ABSOLUTELY BUT ONLY AFTER KANTO AND THE ORANGE ISLANDS ARE DONE! FIRST, THEY NEED TO REMIND A CERTAIN POKEBALL SMITH, WHO THEN FIGURES OUT HOW TO MASS PRODUCE THEM.

POKEMONFAN ASH: MAYBE, BUT ILL NEED TIME TO MAKE SURE THAT IT JUST DOESN'T COME IN EVERYCITY. MAYBE NEAR THE PLATAUES THAT THE CONFERENCES ARE AT.

AURAMASTER ASH: DEFINITLY ON PIKACHU TEACHING THE COUNTER SHIELD TECHNIQUE TO THE OTHERS WHO ARE CAPAPLE OF HAVING MOVES LIKE THAT! THOUGH, BY SWALLOW TECHNIQUE YOU MEAN ASH'S SWELLOW? AS IN THE LIGHTNING ARMOR? I DON'T EXACTLY KNOW WHAT SWALLOW TECHNIQUE IS.

NINTENDOFAN: OH, I DO PLAN ON HAVING ASH'S PRIMEAPE EVOLVE INTO THAT, BUT THAT'S GONNA HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL SABRINA. SHE'S GONNA BE IN FOR A SHOCK! ON SERENA CATCHING LAPRAS' MOTHER, I CAN SEE THAT, BUT WHAT EXACTLY WOULD CONVINCE HER TO LEAVE THE POD? I WAS THINKING OF HAVING ASH'S LAPRAS ACTUALLY START HEADING TO PALLET TOWN FOR THE SAFETY OF THE POD AND GIVING OAK THE CHANCE TO STUDY THESE RARE CREATURES!

NOW THEN, SINCE I'VE REPLIED TO EVERYONE (AT LEAST TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE) LETS GET THIS CHAPTER UNDERWAY! ALSO, I WILL ADMIT IM THINKING OF STARTING TO TRY AND PUT IN THE THEME SONG FROM THE SPECIFIC REGION THERE IN BUT MAKE A NEW OPENING INTRODUCTION. MY PROBLEM WOULD BE DESCRIBING IT, SO IF YOU GUYS HAVE IDEAS, PLEASE LET ME KNOW! ALSO LET ME KNOW IF YOU THINK THAT'S A BAD IDEA. THIS A/N HAS GONE ON FAR ENOUGH THOUGH! HENSHIN!

POKEMON THE REVAMPED TIMELINE: SAMURAI, GYMS, LUCARIOS, OH MY!

"Just to make sure, you three are positive we found that Weedle around here?"

"Positive. I would remember that little – THERE HE IS!" Pikachu cried seeing the little brown bug.

"Thunder -!" was all Ash got out before Pikachu hit Weedle. With a Thunder wave. Yeah, even he knew that at his current power, doing a Thundershock was a bad idea. Ash then immediately brought out a Pokéball and threw it. Sure, it was probably better to have Odin knock it down some more, but given who he had a feeling was around, best to not take any chances. Thankfully, Weedle got caught.

This also made Ash remember something. Around the time of his journey through Kalos, Kurt had figured out how to make his special Pokéballs cheaper and more efficiently. Were his hand-crafted ones still better? Absolutely, but he was not going to keep going to him every single time he needed a special ball.

He was sure that this time, Kurt had done so early, but just to make sure, he was going to ask his Father if he had some good Apricorns to take to Johto. He could REALLY use some Nest balls, and if they were available, get some of the other Pokéballs. Heck, some Great balls would be good right now! Had to make sure to get some Moon Balls for Serena, no doubt she would LOVE to catch a Clefairy and Jigglypuff.

Wait, Jigglypuff wanted to be in a show or something, right? Would she be willing to work in a Performance? Questions for later.

Right now, he had to get Weedle healed up. If he remembered a certain someone who never left Kanto's Metapod correctly, it only knew Harden. Wild Metapod tended to only know that. At least, that's how it was back when he started in the OG Timeline. He released Weedle and sprayed him down in Paralysis heal.

"Way to go, Ash!" He smiled as he saw Serena run over to congratulate him on his catch, with Sylveon running alongside her. Pidgeot and Butterfree sniggered when she wrapped up Pikachu in her feelers.

"Guess Ash isn't the only one to score a girlfriend here." Butterfree said, then dodged a bolt from Pikachu, who had made sure not to get Sylveon in the process. He then turned to Pidgeot.

"So, what are the chances of you falling in love with Fearow?" He was expecting a glare, but Pidgeot lightly tapped his head.

"I'll get back to you on that when I get a better feel for him. He was strong, but hopefully Serena can make sure he doesn't lose himself again. During my time protecting the flock from him, he wasn't bad, just had a lot on his chest. Don't know if that was from Ash throwing the rock, him getting electrocuted by that storm, or the fact that I evolved and humiliated him in front of the Spearow flock. Right now, I don't have any interest in him, but you never know what the future holds." Butterfree understood, then saw Ash looking at him.

"You still didn't answer a question I asked last time, Butterfree. Who is Sakura?" Butterfree then tilted his head in confusion.

"I thought you would have figured it out. It's the pink Butterfree I fell in love with. Then again, it took you YEARS to get your own mate, so I probably shouldn't be surprised." Ash then facepalmed. He would have gone on, but then right on time, a certain ham guy tried to slice him with a katana.

Only this time, the jerk almost gave Serena another haircut.

"Greetings, trainers from Pallet Town, I – "He got cut off by Ash twisting the sword out of his hand and breaking it.

"Do that around her again, and you'll end up like that saber. GOT IT?" he asked threateningly, as Serena lightly blushed at how protective Ash had got of her.

"Now then, both me and her came from Pallet Town. I assume you have four Pokémon? I will take you on with 2 Pokémon then she will take your other 2. Deal?" Samurai then got a competitive smirk.

"Indeed, that is agreeable. Metapod! I need your assistance!" With that, he released the cocoon Pokémon that Ash, he admitted it, was stupid enough to just keep using Harden last time. Thankfully, he did have a low level (if he even understood what someone meant by that) Pokémon to take it on.

"Weedle! I choose you!" His new Bug Pokémon came out, looking very confused, then saw the Metapod in front of it.

"Use Harden!" Metapod shined and didn't look like it would just bowl over. Thankfully, it did confirm for Ash that it only knew that move.

"Use Poison Sting!" Weedle then shot a bunch of glowing needles at Metapod, which connected but it looked like it shrugged it off. Ash, however, noticed a purple glow.

"Use Harden again!" Yup. Idiot caught the Metapod. Ash, however, had prepared for this.

"Use Poison Sting but start closing the gap." Apparently, Weedle seemed to have figured out why Ash had done that. It ran over to Metapod but kept up the Poison stings. Samurai was about to make another move, when Metapod suddenly looked to be in pain, then realized what had happened.

"Metapod got Poisoned, didn't he?"

"Yup, and unfortunately, Harden does not protect against that." Weedle then suddenly charged at Metapod and began viciously biting all over it. Ash smiled. Little guy had learned Bug Bite. Which was good, meaning he at least had another offensive option once he evolved.

"Use Harden." Yup, the guy had not paid attention during Pokéschool. Weedle then charged in again, biting all over. This time, when Metapod glowed purple, it fell on its side and gained swirly eyes.

"Wow, at least it didn't turn into a staring contest thing time." Serena nearly jumped out of her skin when Misty stopped cowering from the Bug Pokémon that Ash had just caught.

"How bad did it get?"

"You don't want to know." Misty replied then saw Weedle cover itself in String Shot, realizing what was happening.

"Alright, Kakuna!" Ash celebrated, with Kakuna wobbling from side to side, happy to hear that. Ash then heard beeping from Dexter and pulled him out. He then smiled at what he saw.

"You may have won that round, but this Pokémon is the Ultimate Bug Type! Pinsir!" The big brown Beetle Pokémon appeared out of the Pokéball and stood ready. Serena expected Ash to withdraw Kakuna, but both he and Kakuna seemed eager to brawl.

"Alright, Kakuna, wait for my order!" With that, Kakuna shift downward a little bit.

"Use Vice Grip, Pinsir!" Pinsir then leaned down, about ready to close its grip on Kakuna.

"Use Iron Defense!" Kakuna suddenly glowed silver and seemed to turn into metal. Samurai realized the strategy.

"Pinsir! Let go!" At least he had the sense to do that. Unfortunately, Pinsir tended to not let go until the thing between their horns was crushed. So, while it was clear to everyone that Pinsir had heard, he couldn't stop his horns from breaking off due to how hard Kakuna had become.

"Now use Bug Bite!" Kakuna then began to bite all over Pinsir, throwing in a little Poison Sting every now and then.

"Use Double Hit!" Pinsir then tried punching Kakuna, but Ash had a plan for that.

"Use String Shot! Tie up Pinsir!" Kakuna obliged, and then Pinsir found itself unable to move. To make matters worse, the last Poison Sting Kakuna had used managed to poison Pinsir.

"Use Bug Bite one last time!" Ash called out, having a good feeling that Pinsir was about ready to keel over. He was proven right as after the Bug Bite, Pinsir glowed purple and fell backwards.

Ash was about to celebrate when he saw Kakuna suddenly get a crack on its back. It split vertically, making him worried at first that he overused him, then remembered what happened when Butterfree evolved. He the saw a pair of clear wings burst out the back, followed by a head straightening out of the top, then two stingers on the wrists. It then looked at Ash, then flew over and held out his right stinger.

"Oh yeah. It's great to be a Beedrill isn't it? But I have news. You can get even stronger. All we need to do is find a Beedrillite, and you can Mega Evolve." Beedrill's eyes, if possible, got wider at that prospect, then seemed to get a thoughtful look as it put one stinger under his chin. He then flew off in the direction of the Beedrill Hive.

"Now then, I do believe that we agreed that your other two Pokémon would be faced by her?" Ash asked, thumbing over to Serena.

"Indeed. Sawk! Battle position 4!" That immediately surprised Ash. Guess he had to take the "never left Kanto" thought back since this guy had a Pokémon from Unova. The blue Martial Arts Pokémon then took a karate stance as it stared, waiting for its opponent. Serena then decided to speed things up while Ash and Misty sat down to watch.

"Braixen! Spotlight Time!" With that, she released her faithful starter, which stood ready, and brandished its stick that now had a bow on it.

"Use Psychic!" Braixen's eyes then glowed blue, as Sawk suddenly grabbed its head in pain. Samurai growled.

"Use Brick Break!" Sawk then lunged forward, taking Braixen by surprise a bit, but not completely as she was able to dodge the first and last blows of the Brick Break. It did land two blows to her mid-section, but they didn't really damage her that much.

"Psybeam!" Braixen's eyes glowed blue, as she shot it point blank in Sawk's face. Sawk was thrown back, skidding across the ground, but he still stood up.

"Revenge!" Sawk suddenly glowed black and slammed into Braixen's chest area, which clearly took the wind out of her, as when she stopped skidding across the ground, she BARELY got up.

"Last chance to recall your fox, Maiden!" Serena didn't exactly like it when Samurai called her that, signified by the death glare she gave him. Ash, however, noticed that Braixen gave off the SAME look, almost like they were mirroring each other. Suddenly, Braixen was surrounded by flames. Ash at first thought this might be a Bond Phenomenon, but recognized it was just a very beefed-up Blaze ability.

"FIRE BLAST!" Serena roared as she shoved out her arm, like she too was holding a stick. Braixen mimicked the movement, sending a Kanji Symbol made of fire right at Sawk, who did not get out of the way in time. It connected and he fell to the ground. Everyone thought that did it, but Sawk barely got up and clearly would fall in one hit.

Which is when he suddenly erupted in flames and then fell to the ground with swirly eyes. It was clear Fire Blast had managed to Burn Sawk, which took the last of his energy. Serena was elated, but then noticed that Braixen was breathing quite heavily.

"Braixen! You've battled enough! Come back and rest!" Braixen looked relieved and began to walk over to her …

When Greninja suddenly appeared from above, upside down, grabbed her, and pulled her up into the trees.

"GRENINJAAAAAAAAAAA!" Braixen was heard screaming as she got pulled up. Serena looked at Ash, who just shrugged. Serena shook her head then looked down at Sylveon.

"Ready?" Sylveon nodded and leapt forward ready to fight.

"Throh! Battle Position 2!" With that, a big red Pokémon with a Judo Gi appeared and held its open palms out, glaring at the place its opponent would appear.

"Sylveon!" With that, Serena's faithful Eeveelution fan out onto the field.

"Use Fairy Wind!" Sylveon then leapt into the air, spinning as it did so, causing a pink hued wind to appear and start whipping around Throh, who clearly felt it, given how Fairy Types were super effective against Fighting Types.

"Use Poison Jab!" Throh's right arm then glowed purple, as he jammed it into Sylveon's stomach area. Serena bit back a curse, though was happy to see that Sylveon did not get poisoned.

"Use Draining Kiss!" Despite Throh's attempts to jab her again, Sylveon got to its right side and gave it a kiss, throwing it back and healing some of the damage that she had taken. Unfortunately, Throh immediately got up and jabbed her in the head. This time, Sylveon got poisoned.

"Sylveon! Use Disarming Voice!" Sylveon opened her mouth, and purple hearts then connected with Throh's head, disorienting him. Sylveon then jerked, canceling the attack due to Poison. She barely dodged the Poison Jab attack, before hitting him with another Drain Kiss.

It was clear that the poison was starting to get worse on Sylveon, however. When she glowed purple again, she very nearly collapsed onto the ground.

"Looks like this is the end. You fought well, for one who prefers not to fight." Samurai would have continued, if they didn't notice the sky suddenly turn dark, and the moon appeared. They then saw the moon focus around Sylveon and immediately knew what was coming.

"Sylveon! Use Moon Blast!" A massive beam came from Sylveon's mouth jetting straight towards Throh. A massive explosion occurred, and Throh was face down on the ground, unmoving.

"Well, at least I didn't get beaten in a landslide like the other 3 who came through here." Ash then decided to ask Samurai something. More tell but structured as a question.

"Hey, have you ever heard of Mega Evolution?"

"Isn't that just a myth?" Thankfully, Beedrill returned at that moment, with a orb that had his colors in a DNA pattern, and handed it to Ash.

"This is a Mega Stone. All you need to do is get a Keystone and have a great bond with your Pokémon to use it." Samurai then looked confused.

"But I don't have a Beedrill."

"No, but you do have a Pinsir. They can Mega Evolve. You just need to get a Keystone and a Pinsirite, as well as maintain that amazing bond you had." Samurai beamed at the thought of this, then led the group to the exit and said his goodbyes.

"CAREFUL, PIKACHU! WE DON'T WANT TO DEFOREST THE AREA!" Serena and Sylveon were looking annoyed at where Ash and Pikachu were training.

Said training spot happened to be a flowing river.

"Yes, using Substitute will help with the surfboard part, but generating the NECESSARY amounts of water for the attack is the problem! You're not naturally water, so you need to pull it from the atmosphere!" Ash had already taught Pikachu how to use Brick Break, so they were trying to learn Surf to give him some needed variety.

The problem was that since he was an Electric type, concentrating on water was screwing over his control of Electricity.

The first time he attempted Surf?

He had accidentally made a mini tsunami wave that not only swept him and his friends that was electrified.

Second time, better control of the Electricity, but didn't exactly figure out how to make sure the water was going right in front of him.

He ended up getting Serena, Sylveon and Braixen in the process. Only reason he survived Braixen was because Greninja had once again gotten the drop on her. He was not participating in the Pewter Gym, so he could just sit this one out.

Misty had an absolute belly ache at seeing how Serena and Sylveon practically choked Ash and Pikachu and told them to take the training to the river. Which wasn't really helping.

"Seriously, Ash. Just use Nidoran for the fight! Pikachu doesn't need to do this!" Ash turned to Serena with a look that she had never seen before, but Misty knew all too well.

"Last time I went through Kanto Gyms, I got MOST of my badges not from winning the Gym Battle, but through an act of KINDNESS! I want to EARN my badges this time, Serena! And no cheap tricks like hooking Pikachu up to a dam or activating the sprinkler system! I am earning them the honest way!" Serena took a step back, which made Ash realize that he accidently over reacted.

"Sorry, Serena. It's just … alongside Johto and Unova, Kanto is one of the worst times since it was at the beginning of my journey. I don't want to take the easy road, but I also don't want to breeze through it. So, I need to get things right. ESPECIALLY if I'm going to rescue your father and Diamond." That got Serena to understand a bit as to why.

"OK. I understand. But promise me that you won't overdue it like the time you got that fever. And you didn't do anything rash last time did you?" Ash immediately paled at that and started to back away, with Misty starting to lose it. Serena justvlooked around confused.

"What? What did he do?"

"Oh not much. Just cross dressed as a girl a couple of times." Ash then glared at Misty as Sylveon and Serena began to laugh their heads off. Pikachu also joined in.

"I wouldn't laugh if I was you, Pikachu. If I recall correctly YOU put a yellow heart shaped piece of paper on your tail once to pass as a female Pikachu!" Pikachu stopped laughing and then, made a tidal wave of water appear and head straight for Ash. Greninja then cut the wave in half.

"Not how I thought you were going to master that move, but hey at least you can do Surf now." Then Ash saw what Greninja was thinking, and turned to Braixen.

"Hey, you willing to help me get back at Greninja by helping me doll him up?" Greninja whirled around at Ash as Braixen smirked and then unrolled a piece of paper.

After some close calls with an angry Pikachu and Greninja, Ash and Company arrived in Pewter City. Before they entered, Ash and Serena went to the side.

"OK. As much as I am happy you guys are now outside your Pokeballs, we can't have you walking around town. You two would attract too much attention, since as far as I know ow, no one from Kalos has ever come here to challenge the circuit. As such, I am going to have to keep you guys in the balls until we leave the city." Braixen then looked at Serena.

"I am worried that you and Sylveon are going to attract attention, but since Sylveon is a evolution of Eevee, she has more chance of blending in than you do, Braixen. As much as I want to keep you out, it's so that the EVIL Team Rocket members don't try and steal you." Braixen sighed, but understood. Bother she and Greninja let themselves be returned to their balls.

"So, are you planning on showing me this trick that you and Greninja know, Ash" Misty asked, very determined to have Ash tell her.

"Only if Brock gets his Steelix back and has the MegaStone for it, but I doubt it since he wouldn't have his Keystone like you when we met back on Route 1." Misty growled, but accepted it.

"Before I take on Brock, though, let's see what Pokeballs they sell here. I really wonder why none of us thought to start stocking up on Great or Ultra balls during our previous adventure." Misty and Serena then looked at each other, then back at Ash.

"That's a good point. Why DIDN'T we get those and keep getting regular Pokeballs?"

"Yeah, it would have really helped to catch some of those harder Pokémon." Ash shrugged, then headed over to the Pokémart.

"Welcome to the Pokémart! Today is a special day as we just got some brand new Moon Balls in!" Ash was surprised to hear that.

"How much?"

"500 Poke per ball." Ash the sweat dropped.

Still expensive but he did have enough for one if he got some Great balls. He pulled out Dexter and then opened a account checker to see how much he had.

He then did a double take.

'A hundred thousand Poke!?' was what he saw when he looked at it. Then he saw a note in it.

"To Ash, if you're wondering why your account is now in the hundred thousands, James has taken control of his family's company. Meaning that now, we have some proper cash flow, since he made me the CEO now, while he is still part of the board. Just don't treat me like a bank, like your mom tried to make me.

Red."

Ash then smiled, realizing how badly his Father wanted to make up for lost time. The he saw something else.

"P.S. I also sent your Mom a check. It should arrive just after you leave Viridian, but I do believe on Mt. Moon, 2 of her old friends are there. Please try and convince them to return to her."

Ash shrugged, then went over to the clerk and got 40 great balls, which also netted him 4 Preniere balls, though he didn't see the point of them, and 6 Moon Balls.

Hey, best to stock up.

He then met the girls at the entrance to the gym and handed them 10 Great Balls each and 2 Moon Balls to Serena and 1 Moon ball to Misty. They then headed inside.

The girls made their way up to the second floor viewing area, after Serena gave Ash a kiss on the cheek for good luck, and Sylveon hugged Pikachu. Ash then walked through the Challenger entrance and turned to face where he remembered where Brock revealed himself the first time. And his memories did not let him down.

"I see you are a new challenger who seems to have done his research. I respect that, but was it wise to come with a Pikachu?" Ash smirked, remembering what Brock had said the first time.

"He is my starter, but while he is going to fight, he will not be the only one. To rely on just ONE Pokémon is a recipe for disaster." Brock stood up, walked from his spot and then stood in front of him, not saying a word. He then smiled and held out his hand.

"Well said. Unlike what that boy with the Squirtle thought. You have potential and I want to see you reach it." Ash smiled and shook Brock's hand, then he did his shtick. Said shtick was giving Brock his memories back.

Brock reeled back and clutched his head, then looked around. His eyes focused on Ash.

"Ash? What happened!? Last thing I remember was being pulled into a giant sphere in the sky!" Ash then smiled.

"Godly induced time travel. We're back when we first met. And I'm challenging you to a Gym battle." Brock then felt his waist and recognized 2 balls on them.

"So only the ones we had when we first met. Got it."

"They should know any moves they had before the world ended." Brock then smiled. He then got back to his spot on the field while Ash and Pikachu got back to theirs.

"GO, GEODUDE!" Brock's trusty boulder with fists then appeared and seemed very eager when it saw Pikachu. However, Ash then looked at Brock in confusion.

"How is it that Geodude has not evolved ONCE? I thought he would at least be a Graveler by the time we met again in Alola."

"I'm still trying to figure that out, as well as Geodude. I can tell he wants to evolve, but each time it looks like he's going to, something stops it." Geodude also looked at its body in disappointment, wanting to know WHY he couldn't evolve. There was NO Everstone near him, and he definitely felt ready for it.

"We'll have to figure that out later. Alright Pikachu! Let's show them how strong we are!" Pikachu nodded and ran out onto the field, glaring at Geodude.

(PIKACHU VS GEODUDE: ROUND 1. FIGHT!)

"You aren't getting the surprise volt on me THIS time, electric rodent!" Geodude called out to Pikachu, still feeling angered by being defeated with electricity in their gym battle from the OG timeline years ago. Pikachu smirked.

"Whatsa Matta, Geobum? Still sour I got OVER your type immunity? You really need to let that anger go. It will just blind you!" With that, Pikachu used Extreme Speed to confuse Geodude, who looked around bewildered as to how Pikachu learned that attack.

"Use Rock Polish! Do it to where you can keep up with Pikachu!" Geodude then began grabbing sand and polishing himself until he had a shine to him. Then he began to roll and chase down Pikachu. Ash wondered what Brock was planning until he realized it.

"PIKACHU! JUMP! GEODUDE IS TRYING TO USE ROLLOUT!" The moment Pikachu heard that, he turned his tail into metal and used it as a pole vault to get out of the way of Geodude. He grabbed onto the wall, then saw Geodude rolling UP the wall he was holding onto. Pikachu barely got out of the way again.

"Dig into the wall, Geodude!" Geodude quickly tunneled a hole into the wall of the gym, which confused Ash at first. Then he took a better look at the wall, and the ground on the Gym Floor.

"You made it all rocks so that anyone could tunnel, eh?" Brock smirked.

"Well, how else would it have happened? GEODUDE! Use Mega Punch when you come out of the ground!" The ground began to shake as Pikachu began to frantically look around for a sign as to where Geodude was.

"PIKACHU! USE AURA AND LOOK FOR HIM THAT WAY! WHEN YOU SEE HIM, USE BRICK BREAK!" Pikachu then closed his eyes and scanned the battlefield, then behind him saw a big pulse of Aura. He closed up his fist, and began to put power into it.

Geodude was ready to come out, and ready to get back at Pikachu for humiliating him by defeating him with an electric attack. He burst out of the ground, ready to land the Mega Punch on Pikachu …

When Pikachu whirled around and hit Geodude square in the forehead. Geodude was sent hurling back, but Ash decided to finish it.

"Use Surf!" Pikachu backflipped when Geodude tried to grab him, then used Substitute to make a surfboard, then a tsunami appeared right behind him, heading straight for Geodude. Brock tried to get Geodude to use Dig, when Electricity suddenly blanketed it, causing it to be unable to move.

"Blast! Static caused Geodude to be paralyzed!" Brock knew he couldn't save Geodude, but thought of something to at least weaken Pikachu. Something Geodude learned from Fortress before the reset.

"USE EXPLOSION!" With that, Geodude glowed white and began to close in, just as the water hit him. Just as he got hit, he exploded, sending Pikachu flying back and skidding across the ground. For a moment, it looked like a double KO, but miraculously, Pikachu stood up.

Granted, he was very shaky as he did so, and only by standing on all fours, but he was up.

Geodude, due to the very fact that Explode makes the user faint, was out on the floor, not budging an inch. Ash would have celebrated, if it wasn't for the fact that Pikachu was on his literal last leg. He was about to call him back, but Pikachu looked at him, shaking his head. Ash just sighed.

"Pikachu wants to stay in. Just try to make sure that Onix takes it easy on him." Brock nodded, understanding what Ash was saying. Though he did wish that the reminding also made Onix get back to being Steelix, he can find a Metal Coat later.

"GO, ONIX!" Pikachu got back to his feet as best as he could. He looked up, expecting to see rocks.

Instead, he saw a reflection of his face.

Pikachu was confused, until he had a feeling of dread since no one else was making any noise.

He slowly moved his head to look up, seeing that the reflection was just one section …

Of a Steelix that he knew immediately was having a devilish smile looking right at him, despite Steelix's general appearance always looking like a scowl.

"Think you can use that little water trick on me, rodent?" Pikachu gulped, knowing he could not generate the necessary amounts of water to give Steelix a decent wash, let alone deal any damage to him.

Too late to let himself be recalled. He made his bed on a Steelix, now he had to sleep on him.

"OK. So those that evolve through trade items works with being reminded. Maybe that extends to trade evolutions. Later, though. Pikachu! Use Extreme Speed!" Pikachu speed away, making sure that Steelix didn't have a good way to track him down.

Slight problem.

Because he tanked the Explode, Pikachu didn't nearly have the stamina or endurance that he did at the start of the fight.

Why was that a problem?

Instead of becoming invisible, he blinked in and out from Steelix's perspective.

And he was following a pattern that Steelix recognized. Which Brock caught onto.

"Use Heavy Slam, Steelix!" Steelix quickly predicted where Pikachu was going to run to, and slammed the area in front of it. Pikachu swerved to avoid the tail, bit was caught and catapulted into the air.

"Pikachu! Orient yourself to where you can use Brick Break on Steelix's forehead!" Pikachu then turned his body to where he was looking Steelix in the eyes, then punched his forehead.

Steelix … didn't even flinch. Pikachu, however smirked, seeing his punch did Crack Steelix's skin a bit. That was all he saw before Steelix shot his tail up, and then began squeezing.

Pikachu tried to wiggle free, but he suddenly lost consciousness and Ash saw. He raised his hand into the air, signifying that he was withdrawing Pikachu. Steelix gently set Pikachu onto the ground as he slowly moved his tail behind him.

Ash was about to head out onto the field when he saw Sylveon leap down from her watching spot and pick up Pikachu with her feelers. She then made a Fairy Wind occur underneath her and used it to fly back up to Serena and Misty.

"Um, who's Pokémon was that, Ash?" Ash then began to grow red on the cheeks, as Brock looked at him confused then suddenly, for a rare moment, his eyes visible.

"ARE YOU TELLING ME THAT POKEMON WAS PIKACHU'S GIRLFRIEND!?" Ash then smacked his head, as Brock looked to where Sylveon had jumped and saw Serena.

That made Brock and Steelix laugh their heads off, Steelix being a bit too overzealous in that department as he was slamming his tail on the ground akin to how one starts smacking things when laughing.

"It's about time someone got you, Ash! Seriously, how did you never notice the numerous amounts of girls who had crushes on you, Like Melody or Bianca!?"

"OK, look! I've already got the GOD of the world on my butt about this, as well as Ho-OH! I DON'T need this happening every time I remind someone!" Brock and Steelix just looked at each other.

"Probably not going to get your wish. Anyway, send out your next Pokémon!" Steelix quickly composed himself and waited, remembering last time, all Ash had was Butterfree, and Pidgeotto. Though, given what Ash had said, it was likely that Pidgeotto had returned to being a Pidgeot.

"Go, Odin!" Both Steelix and Brock were surprised when a male Nidoran appeared, since Ash did NOT have that last time.

"Use Heavy Slam!" Steelix raised his tail up, ready to slam it down on Nidoran, but Ash then smiled.

"Use Ice Beam!" The beam hit Steelix straight in the head, but it got worse as the ice then began to cover Steelix's body.

"Now use Double Kick!" Nidoran then began running up Steelix's body, who was desperately trying to break free of the ice, when Nidoran then leaped onto his head, and began kicking it.

At first, the Ice protected Steelix from the kicks, but then, when it finally cracked and he could move his head again, Odin then did one final bout of Double kicks. It sent his head straight down into the ground, causing a massive plum of dirt to be sent into the air.

When it settled, it was clear who had won the bout.

"Well, at least it wasn't due to the sprinklers this time." Brock said as he returned Steelix to his Pokeball.

"So, Dr. Brock. You want to come with me on my journey again?" Brock then looked at Ash, then laughed.

"As if you even need to ask, but first we need to get my dad back."

"No need for that." Everyone looked behind to see Flint had arrived.

"Turns out, I could be reminded of the old timeline too, son. So don't worry. I can handle things here, even when Lola returns." Brock looked at his father with a serious gaze.

"Make sure that you BOTH follow your responsibilities this time." Flint gulped at the stare he was getting but nodded.

"And let Misty know that it's alright if she wasn't perfectly in sync with Suicune, she still showed bravery when it asked for her help in stopping Pryce in Johto." Misty, who along with Serena had come down to ground floor, looked confused.

"Um, I don't recall ever meeting Suicune or catching him. And I thought Pryce just lost his Piloswine down a hole, when did he ever try something in Johto?" Flint looked at her then did a double take.

"Wait. You're not the Misty I know. You're too young to match her!" Everyone looked at Flint in confusion.

"Um, I doubt it will matter, but what would you say if my Father was Red?" Flint then looked at Ash in shock.

"Who was your mother? And does he still live?"

"Viridian City, forced to become the new Giovanni. Mother is Green, but her alias is Delia Ketchum."

"Dad, why is this important?" Flint then looked at his son in shame.

"You're not the first of our family to go by the name of Brock."

After that reveal, Ash and his friends left the city, after Ash handed Brock his share of the Pokeballs.

"So, Cerulean City Next?" Ash then shook his head.

"Nope. Now we are going to make a detour to Cameran Castle. The annual Hero Tournament is happening." With that, Ash and Serena brought out Pidgeot and Fearow, with Brock getting on Pidgeot with Ash and Misty getting on Fearow with Serena.

After Misty made sure that Fearow wasn't gonna snap at her.

After 10 minutes, they had arrived at the front gate, where a guard stood ready.

"HALT! State your names and your intentions!"

"Ash Ketchum and I'm here to participate in the Hero Tournament. I should be enrolled already." The guard quickly checked a nearby computer, then nodded.

"Are the others here to participate as well?"

"Not me sir, and I'm sure Serena isn't either. I can't speak for Misty." Misty then shook her head.

"Understood then. Ash, you'll be lead to the costume room to pick your outfit for this tournament, while everyone else will be lead to the civilian section. I am afraid everyone must wear a costume for this." Ash nodded and followed the butler to his changing room, while everyone else followed a handmaid to a different room.

Ash looked around, not seeing the outfit he had the last time he was in Cameran. Guess they either didn't have it in time or it was not found yet, one of the two.

He was about to just grab a random outfit when he noticed something.

He saw the same outfit that he wore when the Kalos group went to Pierre's ball. He also remembered that he and Serena did not get to dance together.

Well, here's to a version of second chances.

He had just finished putting on his outfit when he heard a voice he had hoped not to hear yet.

"Well, well. Looks like Ashey-boy decided to become a hero."

He turned around and saw Gary, in a green and blue version of the outfit he had just put on.

"OH? Why are you here? I thought you'd be busy trying to outpace me." Gary looked at him annoyed.

"And miss the chance to take the title of Hero from you? Yeah right. Only a champion is worthy of taking such a title and that's me." Ash looked around and saw the security cameras.

Curse his luck.

He couldn't remind Gary of the original timeline yet.

If he did remind him here, it would look like he did something to a competitor and get kicked out of the tournament. And he couldn't risk the chance to talk to Queen Illene.

She was the only link to what he could figure out what Sir Aaron left him.

But that didn't mean he could get Gary to stop.

"Are you sure it's a good idea to talk like that? There are cameras in here. Are you really going to risk getting thrown out because of that?" Gary glared at Ash, but did nothing.

"I will leave for now, but it will be the battlefield that decides it. I know Serena is here, let's see who she wants to dance with at the end of the tournament. You, who will definitely lose, or me, the one who will be crowned the next hero!" Ash smirked at that.

He was going to enjoy the look on his face when he learned that the "Hero" had to stay sitting in a chair during the whole ball. That didn't mean he was going down without a fight though.

He continued smirking as he left to get to the waiting area.

When he got there, he saw Brock in a grey tuxedo and Misty in a Blue and white ball gown. What surprised him, however, was the dress Serena wore.

It was the same dress that she wore at Pierre's ball. Same gloves, same strapless top. Even the same heels that he could hear whenever she walked in this outfit.

"Did you pick it because of what happened the last time?"

"Actually, it was all they had in my size. Had a run in with Gary." Ash groaned, having a feeling he knew what he said and oh boy, be wished he could remind Gary of the old timeline right now and have hum stop acting like his Mudsdale self.

"Well, he might become the Hero of this tournament." Serena was horrified by that, until she saw the smirk both he and Brock had.

"Thing is, the Hero is not supposed to join in the ball. He is supposed to stay sitting in a chair the entire time." Serena then smirked herself.

"Just because if you win that means we won't be able to dance again, please don't give up." Ash smiled.

"You do know you're talking to the old Monarch, right?"

He got bopped in the head with Misty's Goldeen for that.

"Had to get that joke out if the way, but I do intend to go in to win."

"Would Ash Ketchum please come to the Blue prep area for his first match?" With that, Ash ran to get into position with Serena blowing a kiss his way.

Queen Illene had been watching the battles commence. She had to admit, it seemed a lot more energetic than usual, since 2 Pallet Town natives had joined the tournament.

The one who caught her eye the most was the one called Ash Ketchum.

He had come with a Pidgeot and a Greninja.

Pidgeot were technically common in Kanto since they were the beginner birds of the region.

It was even rarer for someone to have a Greninja.

Even then, she could tell he wasn't using him.

The only reason she knew he had one was because before his first battle, she saw him take him out and talk to it, to which it nodded and let itself go back to the ball.

He had an overpowered Pokémon, yet he chose not to use it.

At the same time, she seemed to have a sense of familiarity with him. Like she had met him before.

"Is everything alright, your highness?" her aide, Jenny, asked.

"Indeed, it's the one known as Ash. After this tournament, whether or not he wins it is inconsequential, please bring him to me. And make sure the guards DON'T do it in chains again." Jenny nodded, then got back to watching the battle, where Ash had just beaten his opponent's Machamp with his Nidoran.

Ash breathed slowly, having gotten excited during his fights.

Not the excited as in "oh boy, these fights are just what I wanted!" The "Great. Gary is still acting like a cocky jerk." Excited.

Gary had also made it to the final round, which he expected.

He was also bragging about it the entire way. Even managing to get under Ash's skin doing so. That's why he was trying to calm down.

If he let his annoyance get to him, he would let the team down.

He also had to figure out which Pokémon to use. Greninja? Not a good idea as Gary would demand or accuse him of just focusing on him. Odin and Pidgeot had carried him through the tournament, and he didn't want to overuse them.

Butterfree? Gary would make the mistake of calling him weak and probably do something rash.

He then pulled out Beedrill's ball. Did Beedrill have the strength to help him, even though they couldn't Mega evolve yet?

He looked at the timer.

30 seconds left before he had to arrive. He looked at Beedrill's ball one more time before nodding and walking onto the platform.

When it was done raising him up, he saw Gary smirking at him.

"Well, Ash. Ready to lose to me?" Ash just sighed.

"BEEDRILL! I CHOOSE YOU!" With that, Ash brought out his new Bug, who was ready to prove himself. Gary, instead of looking annoyed, noticed what was on Beedrill's chest.

"Hey, Ash. Why are you having Beedrill wear a weird piece of jewelry? You know it's a bad move to pimp it out like that." Ash then smirked at him.

"That's Beedrillite. Once I find a Keystone, and if I have a great bond with him, Beedrill will be able to get stronger!" Gary looked at him, then laughed as he then brought out a Nidorino, which Ash guessed was what evolved into Nidoking.

"Surprised you believe in the stupid idea of Mega Evolution. That's nothing but a bunch of nonsense. Nidorino will be showing you that. Use Poison Jab!" Beedrill and Ash looked at each other, and then looked back at Nidorino who came up to strike, when Beedrill ducked out of the way, getting grazed by the jab, sure, but thanks to his Poison typing, he didn't take nearly as much damage as Gary probably hoped.

"Use Fury Cutter!" Beedrill's needles then glowed white as he then struck Nidorino across the face.

"Use Earth Power!" Nidorino glowed brown, as parts of the stadium floor suddenly got pulled up as they were shot towards Beedrill.

Beedrill did manage to avoid them, but he knew that it was very close. He then struck Nidorino across the face again with Fury Cutter, which thanks to his Bug typing along with the fact that Fury Cutter gets more powerful the more it gets used, meant Nidorino got partially sent back from the hit.

Gary growled. He would not let this dumb bug make a fool of him! Beedrill were more dangerous in the wild than they were with a Trainer. Not because the Trainer was bad, but because Beedrill do better in swarms than one on one.

"Use Dig!" With that, Nidorino dug into the floor while Beedrill flew up high.

Beedrill had been told by Ash and his Pokémon that just because you have wings, doesn't mean your immune to ground attacks.

He kept his eyes out for where Nidorino was going to pop up, given how sudden this attack was.

"Use Drill Run!" Nidorino burst out of the ground with such a force, that Beedrill was caught off guard. It didn't help that Nidorino was spinning when it happened, meaning he couldn't block it with Fury Cutter.

Beedrill was falling to the ground, barely able to tell up from down. He thought that he was going to hit the ground, when he heard it.

"Use Endeavor!" Beedrill suddenly righted himself, and charged at Nidorino. Since he was in the air, Nidorino had no way to block Beedrill's Stinger when he connected with his stomach.

"Nidorino! No!" Gary wailed as Nidorino crashed into the ground. Endeavor would make Nidorino the same shape as Beedrill was when he connected. For a moment he worried that Nidorino had fainted when he jumped back onto the field.

"Alright! Use Drill Run!" Nidorino then did the same attack, and got a side hit on Beedrill who was unable to completely get put of the way due to his prior injuries.

This time he crashed to the floor. Gary and Nidorino thought they won, until Beedrill shakily stabbed a needle into the ground as he rose up. He was panting, but it was clear he was willing to go on. Ash saw this.

"Beedrill. If you feel like you can't go on, I understand. We will beat him another day." Beedrill turned to Ash with shock in his eyes.

He thought Ash would want him to go on and made a motion with his needles to signify this.

"No, Beedrill. You're my friend. And I won't force a friend to fight if they don't want to." Beedrill then took this in.

He felt amazed at Ash's offer. And was very tempted to take it, then he looked at the smirking face of Nidorino, who looked ready to either take him our or mock him for conceding.

But that paled compared to the arrogant smile Gary had plastered on his face.

He had heard everything about him. How he would eventually turn good, but he didn't care about the future. Not like this at least.

He then felt the need to help Ash no matter what. He was weak right now, sure, but he wouldn't go down without showing how powerful he would get.

And give this punk a lesson in humiliation.

Suddenly, the crystal Ash had put on his chest began to glow, as he felt that same drive to never give up come from it and his trainer. He then felt himself getting more powerful. And bigger for that matter.

Ash was shocked as well as Gary and Nidorino, given how Beedrill had just got engulfed by a bright sphere.

"What'd you do to your Beedrill, Ash!?" Ash was just looking in awe.

"Mega Evolution." was all he got out which made Gary look like he was ready to insult him when the light and sphere burst open.

Beedrill was a lot bigger now. His Stinger was not only bigger, but also more streamlined. Alongside his needles getting to the size of spears, he gained two more that looked like a combination of the needles and Stinger.

It also looked angrier. Given the death glare it was giving Nidorino.

Ash was worried when he saw that look, remembering what happened with Korrina in Kalos when she first got her Lucarionite. How he went out of control.

He hoped Beedrill could contain the extra power until they were done.

"Use Fell Stinger!" Beedrill took off like a rocket towards Nidorino, who was not expecting the whole thing. When the blue tip of the stinger connected, Nidorino howled in pain.

Ash was worried. That was not supposed to happen. Yes, Fell Stinger hurts a lot, but not to the extent Nidorino probably felt.

"BEEDRILL! CALM DOWN!" He yelled, realizing what was about to happen.

Unfortunately, it was clear to him that Beedrill was getting consumed by the new power of Mega Evolution.

Beedrill then took its Stinger hands and needles and began mercilessly stabbing Nidorino repeatedly.

Gary was beside himself, seeing how savage Beedrill had become. From how Ash was acting as well, this was new to him as well.

"BEEDRILL STOP! STOOOPPP!" He wailed, trying to get him to come back to his senses.

Beedrill was too far gone into his frenzy, however. He began ramming his big Stinger into Nidorino's back over and over. Both Ash and Gary were horrified when they saw a purple substance come out after the 5th sting. To most, it would look like the poisonous substance that the Nidoran make.

Those who have been around it know there is a difference between its poison.

And it's blood.

Beedrill had been jabbing it in hard enough to try and kill Nidorino. The power had made it lose its nature to hold back. Gary was about to pull out his Pokeball to return Nidorino …

When Ash beat him by returning Beedrill to his Pokeball.

"I withdraw. I don't know how that happened, but I don't want it to happen again. If you wish me to leave, I understand." He told the Ref and the security that had come to try and get Beedrill under control. Gary ran over to Nidorino, who, miraculously, got up despite the beat down he just incurred.

"ASH WITHDRAWS BEEDRILL! THE WINNER AND THE HERO OF THE TOURNAMENT IS GARY OAK!" While the crowd cheered, Gary did not join in. He was more worried about Nidorino getting medical attention.

And how Ash was going to take this. Je saw how Ash acted, and it was clear he had not planned on the Mega Evolution at all.

He wouldn't call him a loser because of that. He just wouldn't say it out loud is all.

All he could do was watch Ash leave with his head down, ashamed of what happened.

If he could, he would request that Ash be given 2nd place. He deserved it.

This was not how he had expected things to go.

Ash had expected to be thrown out of the castle because of what happened with Beedrill, bit the Queen had said he still got 2nd place. He was allowed onto the podium and he was glad to see Gary was surprised as well.

And he took some delight when Gary learned he had to sit during the entire ball.

He found Serena almost instantly as she waited near the door.

"So, where are Misty and Brock?"

"Misty dragged Brock off when he began talking about meeting Queen Illen. And I swear he was blushing at the same time." Ash then rubbed his temples.

Of course, Brock would do this.

"Besides that, anything come up?"

"Yes. Someone named Jenny is asking you to meet the queen after the ball." Ash immediately knew who Jenny was and was glad he didn't have to directly ask to speak with her. He then held out his hand.

"Shall we?" Serena smiled, knowing what he was asking as she took his hand.

"Surely." With that, they headed out onto the dance floor, ready to make up for what happened the last time this situation was presented.

Pikachu was having a grand old time.

A grand old time watching Ash's attempt at doing a Waltz that is.

Ash was never a dancer unless it was, as he said, "Hip Hop." Pikachu never knew what that meant, or if Ash was even accurate on that statement.

All he knew was he was a fan of pop and jazz music. Not classical and thus was not good at their dances.

"Well, at least I can make fun of him for this later." Pikachu said to himself as he was about to head off to get a camera, so that he could blackmail Ash with the dance.

When he bumped into a certain Eeveelution.

"Going somewhere, Mr. Pikachu?" Pikachu gulped at the tone she used.

"Getting a camera?" Sylveon smirked.

"And leave me alone on the ballroom floor without a dance partner? How can you let such a prize Pokémon like me go without a dancing partner?" Sylveon began to shed tears, which were just Fake Tears, but it had the intended effect.

Pikachu looked back at the scene of Ash making a fool of himself, then back at Sylveon who had a expectant look on her face. He sighed and held out one of his paws.

Sylveon smiled, wrapped one of her tassels around his paw, and then led HIM into a dance.

And like his trainer …

Pikachu was having a hard time dancing.

He was just glad Greninja and Braixen were in their Pokeballs.

He didn't want to know how bad it would get since Greninja was taller than Braixen.

"I believe your hand maiden said you wanted to see me, your highness?"

After the ball was over, Ash and Serena headed over to a guard. The guard had been dismissive of the queen actually requesting an audience with Ash, but then Jenny had come by and told the guard off.

"Indeed, Ash Ketchum. I hope you forgive me for doing this." Ash made a motion that showed he had no problem.

"And I hope you forgive me for insisting that Serena be here as well."

"Not at all. Now the reason I asked to speak with you." She then got up, and walked over to a staff that was hanging on the wall.

One which Ash immediately recognized as the scepter that held Lucario.

"Do you have the power of Aura? When I was watching you during the tournament, I felt a sense of familiarity with you even though we have not met." Ash then looked at Serena, who nodded, which he understood

"I do; however, this isn't the first time I've been here in Cameran." He closes one eye to check, and thankfully there were two purple auras.

"And I can remind you of the time we did, your majesty. If you trust me. Just please out down the scepter first." He then held out his hand, which Jenny was about to object to, but Illene held out her hand.

She then walked over to her throne, put the scepter on there, and then grabbed his hand. And the memories came back.

"Ah, now I see why. And thank you Ash, for being true to what the Hero stands for with Beedrill."

"Thank you, your highness. Now to get Lucario out of there and" He was cut off when a explosion rocked the palace.

MOMENTS BEFORE …

"YOU can't be serious!" Gary roared as he was getting sick of people talking about Mega Evolution. And of the special treatment Ash was getting with Queen Illene, when she should have been talking to HIM! He would have continued if Misty and Brock hadn't grabbed his neck.

"Either you shut it, OR I MAKE YOU SHUT IT, OAK BOY!" Misty yelled, having had ENOUGH of Gary's temper tantrums. She seriously wished Ash had done it before, but he wouldn't risk getting thrown out of the tournament.

"Oh yeah. Like I'm going to listen to someone who couldn't back that up – "He was cut off when an explosion suddenly blasted a hole in the entrance.

When that smoke cleared, a group of 5 Team Rocket grunts had come in, covered by a Weezing, Houndoom, Raticate, Ariados and a Malamar up front.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, visitors and home residents of Cameran, if you follow our orders, I promise you we will leave with minimal life loss." One particularly sleazy grunt yelled as he and his friends proceeded to form a circle around the people.

"And if you're extraordinarily lucky, we won't take the Pokémon that are weak." With that, everyone felt their minds being probed by Malamar, with Ariados getting ready for when Malamar gave the signal.

Ash and Illene had seen every moment from their hiding place, Illene had also grabbed the scepter.

"Ash. Please tell me you have a plan." Ash looked at her, then the scepter.

Then he held out his hand.

Illene looked ag him, then looked at the scepter.

Remembering a particular Pokémon that was IN the scepter right now.

She nodded and handed it to him, hoping the same memory trick could do it.

They really needed the help of a Legendary defender right now.

"Please! Not my Eevee!" a woman wailed as the Pokeball containing her only family was ripped out of her dress.

"Then you should have left it at home!" The lone female grunt laughed as she then sent a dagger straight at the woman, nicking her shoulder.

The leader of the five was with his Malamar. When he laid eyes on Serena, and got quite the predatory look.

"Alongside this one's Pokémon, tie her up good. I am not letting such a lovely young lady escape me." His team then looked at him with disgusted looks.

"Seriously? SHE'S HALF YOUR AGE!" The youngest one with the Raticate, who had also not been joining in and looked downright displeased with the events, yelled out.

"Age is relevant." The Female grunt just shook her head.

"I don't think that means what you think it means. Either way, we're just getting the Pokémon." She said as she then had her Houndoom restrain Sylveon.

"Well, thankfully. I'm the captain of this unit and I ORDER you to restrain her and get her loose!" He was about to continue…

When Malamar suddenly slammed into him.

The female grunt then looked to see what had knocked it over …

Only to find Houndoom being sent up into the air and landing directly on her. Then the Ariados that held everyone's Pokeballs was knocked off its webbing, dropping its cargo in the process.

"Who dares to get in Team Rockets way!?" the leader yelled after shoving Malamar off him. The Weezing then launched a Smog attack.

A blue sphere suddenly slammed into its mouth, causing a massive explosion which knocked it out.

"I will give you one chance. Leave Cameran now, and you will only receive minor injuries. Resist and I can make no promises that you will survive." The young Rocket Grunt alongside his Raticate immediately looked at each other, seemingly knowing who this was, and both bolted for the door.

"Where do you think your going!?" The female Grunt yelled as the Ariados blocked the grunts way.

"Have you guys seriously never heard of the legend of Sir Aaron and his Lucario?" The other grunts just laughed.

"Yeah. A fairy tale from the bygone era!" A blue sphere suddenly knocked Ariados out of the way, as the grunt and Raticate then got out of the room.

"YOU have made your decisions as have I. Now you will know what 500 years of pent-up anger can do. Oh, and I feel very insulted that you think me and my partner were just fairy tales." Suddenly a figure crashed on top of Houndoom, knocking him down, but not out. When the team turned to look at him …

They Saw a Lucario who matched the windows of the room they were in.

Did the Rockets get any good ideas?

Nope.

Lucario = Rare Pokémon. MUST CATCH.

The leader for some reason (and having absolutely no brain cells) casually walked up to him.

"Alright, Lucario. YOU may be an ancient Pokémon of legend and a Steel type, BUT I AM A MAN!" He then swung his fist right at Lucario's face.

It connected.

It hurt like a B*h.

For the idiot who swung the fist at Lucario.

Lucario just looked at the others, who also had a look that said they saw this coming a mile away. He then cooked an eyebrow and made a motion with his head.

They just shrugged. Lucario stared at them for a bit …

And just shook his head.

He then uppercut him in the chin, then brought his back down on his knee.

Massive pain ensued.

If the sickening snap was anything to go by.

Malamar was infuriated at seeing his partner taken out this fast.

He then shot off several Shadow Balls, trying to hit Lucario, who just batted them away, then vanished.

Malamar was looking around, trying to figure out where he went, when he suddenly felt a weight on his head. Moving his eyes up, he saw Lucario literally standing on his head. Infuriated beyond belief, Malamar tried to squish him with his tentacles, forgetting that his strength was in his special attacks not his physical prowess.

It didn't matter in the slightest as Lucario again vanished into thin air …

And then proceeded to jam his spiked fist into the stomach area of Malamar, knocking the wind right out of him. Malamar held his stomach for two seconds before Lucario blasted him with an aura sphere.

When the dust settled in the impact crater where Malamar had crashed, it was clear he wasn't getting back up.

"Houndoom! Use Fire Fang!" Houndoom ignited his mouth and charged at Lucario.

Who then dodged while Houndoom ate ground.

"I suggest you take it easy." He said as he spun around and ignited his leg, striking Houndoom across the face, who looked angered beyond all reason. He again charged at Lucario, who then grabbed its mouth and held it wide open.

He then summoned Steel energy into his mouth and fired a small Flash Cannon into Houndoom's mouth, sending it flying across the room.

When it crashed into his trainer, that was it for the both of them.

Lucario turned around to deal with the last intruders when he suddenly got wrapped up in webbing.

Ariados descended to his face, its mouth secreting a fluid.

It opened its mouth, bite into Lucario's neck …

And Lucario just looked annoyed.

"Steel type, remember?" He said as he then smashed his head into Ariados' face, knocking it off and tearing himself free.

He quickly turned in midair, dodging the Rockets attempt to shoot him, and fired a small sphere at the gun, blasting it apart.

The Grunt was about to pull out another when he saw Lucario right in his face, holding the arm with the gun back from drawing it.

"Yield." Was all he said, which made the goon grunt in anger and then take a swipe with his free arm, only for Lucario to dodge it and produce a Bonerang staff, get it around his neck in a chokehold, then smash him into the ground knocking him out.

He then threw it at Ariados, completely knocking it out. He then grabbed the webbing that it had tied around him from earlier and tied up both Ariados and his trainer.

Everyone just stared and then made a mad dash for the Pokeballs that were stolen. Lucario looked at the woman who had gotten a cut on her shoulder and held out his paws.

A blue glow occurred on them and the cut, and it vanished. Lucario smiled at the lady, then walked over to Misty, Brock and Serena.

"The queen and Ash ask for your presence. Especially YOU, Serena." That last part he had a smirk on his face as he then headed over to the other unconscious goons and made sure they weren't going anywhere until Officer Jenny came to cart them off.

When they arrived in the throne room, they were surprised to see Illene looking at them expectantly.

"I see Brock is here, but where are May and Max?"

"They won't be with us until the time we originally met." Illene nodded, then looked at Serena.

"I do wonder, do you have the same Aura abilities as Ash?" Serena looked at her and shrugged.

"I ask as you being in that dress reminds me of Seraphina." Everyone then looked at one another then at the queen.

"Seraphina?" The queen then pointed to a mural. It depicted a black-haired man who was clearly supposed to be Sir Aaron.

It also showed him pulling a woman with medium blonde hair done in a windswept fashion and a red dress that was very similar to the one Serena was wearing right now.

"Seraphina was a powerful Psychic. Just like how Aaron was a Knight of Aura, Seraphina was a part of the Psychic Council. A council made up of entirely Psychics. Seraphina had been the second highest member at the time the war had broken out, and there were rumors that she and Aaron had a thing for each other. Unfortunately, members of the council were forbidden from marrying anyone who was not a psychic. And the highest member was a massive anti-Aura person. He believed that Aura was a corrupter, which would only lead to sadness. None of the other members were of the same mind, and he grew angrier with each passing year." Illene then had a look of sadness.

"Which is why he started the war that ultimately led to Aaron sacrificing himself to save the tree of life. The leader was apparently also very arrogant, as he had followed Aaron into the tree to stop him from healing it. When he saw Mew, he assumed that Mew would welcome him for being a Psychic and offered to help 'PURGE' the tree of corrupting Aura. Mew's response was to strip him of his Psychic powers and have a Zoroark tear him to shreds. Legend says he cried out to Mew, asking why he would take that filthy Aura user's side. Zoroark used illusions to point out how Mew protected life, and his life's work was against the very principles of what Mew stood for." Everyone had a saddened look, then Serena thought of something.

"Wait. What happened to Seraphina?" Illene then took on a smile.

"Here's where with time travel, I have a pretty good idea what happened. In the original timeline, Seraphina had disappeared before the Council Leader started the war. In this timeline, she had discovered his plans and tried to go tell someone. While the war did happen, Seraphina was saved from a mercenary out for her life … by Sir Aaron. I think it was this same mercenary in the original timeline that killed her before she could warn anyone. Here, Sir Aaron must have known what was going to happen, so he made sure to prevent it. After the war, Seraphina immortalized Sir Aaron in these murals. She also became the new head of the Psychic Council and abolished the no non-psychic marriage rule." Everyone then heard the door open and saw Lucario coming into the room.

"Officer Jenny and her men have taken the grunts that invaded into custody. The young one with the Raticate is gone, though I doubt we have to worry about him coming back." Illene nodded at this.

"Lucario, I believe there is a chamber meant for an Aura user if he?" Lucario looked at her and smiled.

"I shall take Ash there, your highness. Ash." He nodded and followed Lucario. Serena then turned to Illene.

"Why did the leader hate aura users?" Illene then suddenly had a look of anger.

"A victim of his own hypocrisy. Aura and Psychic energy are very similar, as both allow one to expand a person's senses and can help others. However, there are differences besides the fact that Psychic is more of the mind than it is of the heart. Psychic users have to be careful of how hard they push, as unlike Aura which chooses only those pure of heart, Psychic energy can slowly work its way through your conscious. If a Psychic user were to view an aura person's mind, it would appear to them as a massive blue flame. The Council Leader, however, was afraid of what might have been a Galarian Moltres, as he viewed the flames as those with evil hearts. He also once went into the mind of a king who was said to have activated a machine that caused a disaster in the Kalos region when he came here." Serena's eyes widened at that. That was the same person who had tried to bring back a dead Floette in her home region.

Lucario had led Ash to a section of the castle that he was not familiar with.

"So, any benefits from the time travel?"

"Unfortunately, none in my favor. Heck, when you freed me, before the memories took hold, I was going to do the same attack cycle I did in the original. Thankfully, the delay between opening up my prison and before I could move again helped out."

"Gotcha. Question though. I swear you did some lines from an old anime I used to watch. Where did you hear that?" Lucario then rubbed his temples.

"Apparently, Sir Aaron learned of the anime and showed it to me. According to him, the main character sounded like a happier version of me. I guess some of it stuck." Ash nodded and then they came up to a door with a lock on it that looked like a Lucario paw. Lucario placed his on it, and then glowed blue.

"So, did Seraphina and Aaron ever … ya know. Do it?" Lucario shook his head.

"No, though they did become more open after she became the head of the council. They both were forced into marriages but they never got to be together like how you and Serena are." Ash looked saddened then slightly hopeful.

"Maybe they reunited after Seraphina died naturally." Lucario then smiled at that.

"I have no doubt they did. I just wish I knew what happened to her Zoroark. I have this hope that she is still alive or like how I was in that staff." Ash then looked confused.

"Zoroark? I thought she was a Psychic." Lucario then had an angered look.

"A part of why he had no hesitation in ending her in the original timeline or this. He was insistent on her throwing her out, but Seraphina never found a good psychic partner besides a Xatu, which the moron never recognized as a Psychic Type for some reason. And even then, having a Ghost type is useful if someone tries to take you out with Ghost or especially Psychic types." That made Ash look at him in confusion.

"I thought Zoroark were dark types." Lucario then looked at him in confusion now.

"Why? The white and red fur always made me think of them as Ghost types."

"White? They black with red fur." Lucario was about to argue back when he saw Ash pull out Dexter.

"Dexter. What type is Zoroark and does it have white or black fur?"

"Which Zoroark do you mean? There are two known variations. Hisui and Unovan. Hisui Zoroark are Normal/ Ghost type while Unovan Zoroark are pure Dark Types. The Hisui variant has been extinct since 1893." Ash and Lucario then looked at each other. As he finished, Lucario opened the door and motioned for Ash to go in. He walked down two steps before realizing Lucario wasn't following him.

"Aren't ya coming?"

"What is down there is for you alone, Ash. I will stand guard here until you come back." Ash nodded and proceeded downwards. He then heard the ancient door Slam shut as it got dark.

He had been going down for 10 minutes. And the only reason was because his eyes were not attuned to the dark yet.

When he got to the bottom, the room lit up. And he was surprised.

Instead of a temple layout or something similar, there were alters with numbers.

Deciding to go to the 1 labeled alter first, he had a smile come to his face when he saw what it was.

"My old Keystone! And the Lucarionite I got for my Lucario!" He picked up the glove, the Keystone and the wrist holder for Mega stone and put it on.

Perfect fit.

He then went to the next one and was surprised to see two eggs. At first wondering who put these here as he doubted, they could be over 500 years old, he closed his eyes and realized they both glowed purple.

"I'll check you two in one sec. Got four more alters to go through." With that, he continued.

The next one was a surprise to him. There were two more Keystones, but one was in a necklace designed after a boulder and one was in a hairball. A silver colored Mega stone and a blue colored Mega stone were next to them, as he also saw a small bag in the back.

"Brock and Misty's Keystones and the Steelixite and Gyaradosite they had!" He then grabbed the small sack, and given the clinking that was happening, he assumed they were more Mega stones.

The next one he went to, he saw several Mega rings, but when he picked them up, he saw the names of May, Max, Dawn, and Iris. And several Mega stones that corresponded to different Pokémon They had caught.

The fourth one was very surprising. And something that made him have an absolute smile.

In it, was a blue ribbon. But not just any blue ribbon. The same blue ribbon he had given Serena as a gift, that she never took off until she traveled to Hoenn. He picked it up and held it close.

"Thank you, Sir Aaron." He then went over to the 6th one.

And his jaw dropped.

Inside, was a 2-tier dress with the top section having a black fabric line going around it and a part rising as a window to the pink underside. At the waist was a black belt with a gold key-like object with a pink heart gem in it. Underneath the skirt section were black silk leggings and a pair of red flats with a small black heel and a gold decoration on the toe region. Above the neck were two turquoise earrings and a headband that had a pink bow and turquoise beads, along with a black choker with a gold decoration. There were also two white gloves with a pink ribbon that looked like they would become a bow.

Ash stared at it, knowing EXACTLY what this was.

This was Serena's Showcase outfit, but how did it get here? This shouldn't have been done for years! He then saw a slip of paper, with his name on it. Picking it up, he then flipped it open.

To Ash,

If you're wondering why Serena's Showcase outfit is here, well, let's just say during our time training, I happened to see how much you loved seeing Serena in this outfit. How? Aura. I suggest you work on keeping them in check, just in case someone decides to take her hostage. Though, a certain Psychic also loved this kind of dress, so it was easy for me to get it ready for ya! Remember, me and Arceus are watching you so DON'T screw it up! And thank you for freeing Lucario. Make sure he doesn't die helping in the tree of life incident. Also, it seems that Serena might be a descendant of hers. If you don't know who I'm talking about, ask Queen Illene or Lucario about Seraphina. I know it was not intentional or that you were trying to get a second chance, but thank you for providing me with a opportunity to save her. Now, if only in life we could have been together.

Sir Aaron.

"YOU TWO ARENT FUNNY, SIR AARON!" Ash screamed to the heavens, getting rather SICK of this constant reminding. He then saw another MegaRing, but this one did not have a name on it. He picked it up, then got an annoyed face again, but he decided to be thankful for this. He just took a deep breath and went back to the eggs.

"Now then, to see what you guys are." He touched them both, and both eggs were bathed in light. Ash backed away, wanting to give them room for when they came out.

His eyes then widened.

"No … no way in Reverse World am I this Arceus damn lucky."

Lucario was standing guard outside the entrance, making sure no one interrupted Ash as he got whatever it was that he needed down there. He then sensed 3 Auras coming up to the door, as he then backed away from it. When he looked, he saw Ash come up with several items, including a dress that he remembered Sir Aaron asking Seraphina if she could help make. Then he looked behind Ash and smirked.

What took you so long to catch one of them anyway?"

"I was just waiting for the right one." Lucario nodded at that answer then left. Ash saw him getting ready to leap out of the window and head towards the Tree of Life.

"Wait! Before you go, can I ask you something?" Lucario turned to face Ash.

"I thought after Seraphina abolished the law on non-Psychic Marriages, she would have been with Sir Aaron. Why didn't they ever tie the knot?" Lucario looked saddened.

"Both of them were already in a forced marriage, so they couldn't marry each other. Hopefully, now that they have passed on, they are together in the afterlife. Don't make the mistake of letting what happened to my friend happen to you and your girlfriend Ash." Ash then looked at him annoyed as he took off for the Tree of Life. He grew even more irritated when he heard the other 2 in the room laugh.

"Laugh it up, fuzzball and lint roller." He then ducked two Aura Spheres aiming right for him.

Everyone had been waiting for Ash to return. And had gotten out of the fancy outfits, though the Queen told Serena she and Ash could keep what they got as thanks.

"So, how do you plan on training for contests and performances?" Misty asked.

"First, find a good dress that's like my old one from when I was in Kalos. Shortly before I met Ash again, a Seviper had slashed it pretty good. Didn't help the thing spat poison at me and ruined the gems and shoes that went with it." Serena answered annoyed. Her mom had gotten that dress for her, and the package was not cheap!

She then heard the door open and she along with everyone else turned to see Ash come in.

"What'd ya find, Ash?" Brock couldn't help but ask. Ash smiled as he presented his Keystone and the glove that held it.

"OH, come on! Why do you get yours back first!?" Misty angrily wailed, when she saw Ash hold out a clenched fist to both her and Brock.

When Misty held out her hand under Ash's, he opened it up …

And her Keystone Hairband fell into her hand. As well as the Gyaradosite she had given her Gyarados when she discovered it. She then saw Ash smirking.

"Want me to show you the trick me and Greninja can do? Then use Mega Gyarados." She then smirked at Ash.

"Only if you remind him." Ash nodded then opened his other hand and gave Brock his Steelixite and in his fingers was the Necklace Brock had fashioned his Keystone into. Brock smiled and turned to Illene.

"Is there a place I can get a piece of armor or something to put this Mega stone in, so Steelix doesn't have to worry?" Illene smiled and beckoned for a guard to escort him.

Serena thought she had gotten nothing, until she saw Ash having his usual smile at her. He then held his arms behind his back.

And when he pulled them to the front …

She saw her old Showcase outfit.

She held her mouth agape, as she gently took the dress and held it over her body.

Perfect size. She then saw Ash uncomfortably hand her the leggings that went with it, which she could understand. She took them and could immediately tell they would fit her.

He then pulled out the hairband and gloves, even the choker she had with this outfit. She then began to shake at this. He then smirked and pulled out the shoes that went with it, as he then went to her side and whispered in her ear.

"Let me know if you want to pull off a Cinderella moment with these." She blushed, but nodded at that as she took the shoes.

"Do you mind putting it on to make sure it still fits?" Serena then looked at Ash suspiciously.

"Why?"

"Well, I want to give you something special, and I – I really liked seeing you in this dress whenever it happened in Kalos." Serena then cocked her head to the side in confusion.

"Why? Why was this dress your favorite out of all the ones I wore?" With that, Ash began blushing.

"B-because it-it's what best matches your beauty." Serena then blushed at that, then had a feeling it was because of a different reason, but Ash didn't want to sound stereotypical. She then headed off to the changing room. Ash then turned around, looking at 2 Pokémon that Misty suddenly realized were also in the room with them.

"You still have it, right?"

RAWR!

"Good, thanks." He then noticed Misty staring at him.

"What happened to him? I can't understand him anymore!" Ash then smiled.

"It's not Sir Aaron's. He's the one I raised from an egg." Misty's eyes widened at that, when a soft clack filled the room.

Ash turned and then it seemed Dialga cranked up the Time Slowdown. Serena was walking back towards him, in all her beauty with her in her Showcase outfit. Everything else about the world was tuned out as all he heard as she approached was the soft clacking of her shoes. She had no trouble walking, the dress fit perfectly, the turquoise gems went well with her beautiful eyes.

She just seemed … so at home in it, that when she finally stopped in front of him, she had to snap her fingers for a bit to remind him of where he was.

"Dah. Sorry. Guess I was looking forward to it a bit too much." Serena just giggled, as Ash then suddenly got down on one knee in front of her. He then held out his right hand, as she then gave him her left hand. He held it for a moment and then held out his left hand …

And a Keystone Ring appeared.

"Serena, this is not just going to be your Keystone, but also a promise since we sadly are too young to tie the knot yet. But, once we are old enough, I promise I will ask. This is our promise ring now." Serena put her hand up to her mouth and felt like she was about to cry. As Ash stood up, she then wrapped her arms around his neck, and pulled him in.

Then, her lips crashed into his and they stayed like that for 3 minutes. She pulled off when she heard laughter.

Looking to her right, she saw Lucario and a blue Jackal-like Pokémon laughing their heads off.

"Look, Lucario. Things are different from the age you and Sir Aaron were used to!" She told him, but was confused when all he said was Rawr? Instead of using aura to talk.

"That Lucario is actually the one I won the Monarch Championship with." Serena was surprised to hear that. Then she looked at the other one confused.

"Then, what's this Pokémon?"

"That is the Pre-Evolution of Lucario. A Riolu." Serena then walked over to it and knelt, bringing out her Pokedex.

RIOLU. THE EMANATION POKEMON. RIOLU HAS THE POWER TO SEE AND UNDERSTAND EMOTIONS LIKE HAPINESS AND ANGER IN AURA WAVES. THIS RIOLU SEEMS TO MATCH THE ONE THAT YOU BOYFRIEND MET BACK IN HIS TRAVELS THROUGH KANTO, LADY SERENA.

Serena blushed at what Eve had just called her.

"Why did you call me that?"

WELL, WHAT ELSE COULD I CALL YOU WHEN YOUR WEARING THIS OUTFIT? BESIDES, YOUR BOYFRIEND JUST PROMISED TO –

Eve got cut off when Serena closed her and stuffed her back in her pocket. She then looked back at Riolu.

"So, I take it you're going to be joining Ash?" She was surprised when Riolu shook its head.

"I've already got my own Lucario here," Ash told her, thumbing at his Lucario, "But, she decided on something else after I told her about you. She's interested in joining you." Serena was surprised and looked back at the young Riolu, who then made an Aura Sphere in her palms. Serena then suddenly realized what Ash had said.

"Wait. I thought the Riolu Line was only Male?"

"Actually, there are Females but apparently, the ratio of Male/Female Riolu and Lucario is, according to Dexter, is 87.5% to 12.5% in favor of the Males."

WHICH MAKES IT VERY CONFUSING AS THERE IS NO EASY WAY TO TELL WHICH IS WHICH. SO WHILE BOTH HE AND BROCK CALLED THIS ONE A MALE BACK THEN, SHE IS ACTUALLY A RARE FEMALE RIOLU. MIGHT BE WHY SHE KNOWS AURA SPHERE EARLY.

"Anyway, because of Lucario here, I told her about you, Serena. And I think she's taken an interest in Performances. Would you like her to join you?" Riolu then looked up expectantly at Serena, who then smiled and took out …

A Friend Ball.

"Where did you get that?" Serena looked at Ash, then remembered.

"OH, Illene gave us some special Pokeballs from Kurt she had him make years ago, as well as some other rare Pokeballs. She has some for you as well." Illene then brought out a basket full of Pokeballs. She then handed Ash a list.

LIST OF POKEBALLS IN THIS BASKET.

ULTRA BALLS: 5

Friend Balls: 4

Level Balls: 12

Lure Balls: 3

Love Balls: 2

Fast Balls: 10

Heavy Balls: 6

His eyes then widened when he saw the last listed Pokeball.

Master Ball: 6

He looked straight up at Illene.

"One: how on earth did you get the money to get all these Pokeballs, and two: HOW IN THE REVERSE WORLD DID YOU GET A MASTER BALL, LET ALONE 6 OF THEM!?" The last part he ended up shouting, given how rare the Master Ball was. Illene then had a smirk on her face.

"One: you're asking one of the richest queens in the world. Plus, we have our own Apricorn trees here. So, we act kind of like a middleman with him selling his specialized Pokeballs in this region. And two: those were given to me from a meeting I had with the Silph Co. President. Quite the gentleman." Ash just shook his head, then saw Serena let Riolu tap the button on the Friend Ball and let herself be caught.

Serena had just stood up and got ready to head back to the changing room, when Ash grabbed her arm.

"One last present. And I wanted to give this to you when you went to change back." Serena looked at him in curiosity.

Then he held out the ribbon that he had given her in the original timeline. Rendered Speechless, Serena shakily grabbed the ribbon and pulled Ash into a hug, then ran off for the changing room.

Ash then turned to his Lucario.

"You want any special ball?"

"Nope. I'll take the regular one. Let's save those for the tougher Pokémon." Ash nodded and threw a regular Pokeball.

"I think it's time for us to go, Queen Illene. I thank you for all your help." Illene then smiled as Lucario then jumped through the window and stood at her side.

"And I thank you, Ash. You helped stop a tragedy from occurring and you brought back one of Cameran's most valuable protectors." Ash then turned to Sir Aaron's Lucario.

"So, what are your plans for not dying this time?"

"Regain my Aura, for one. Being stuck in that scepter basically caused me to lose my Aura steadily, the closest modern-day equivalent would be leaving a car running while parked. So, I need to make sure my wounds are healed and that I can get the required amounts of aura to heal without giving up my life energy for that. But next time you come, I wish to fight your Lucario and Greninja. The only other Pokémon I know of that can generate that amount of Aura for the Bond Phenomenon and that massive Aura Sphere … is me." Ash smiled and then saw Brock arrive back, same with Misty who now had a piece of armor with the Gyaradosite.

"Where'd Serena go to?" At that, Serena then walked out, back in her regular outfit. But this time, with the blue ribbon around the neckline.

"I'd say we're ready." Brock and everyone else nodded, then they headed out. But Ash did hit the armory as well …

For in the bag that held the Mega Stones, the only one that he had a feeling was meant for him, was Pidgotite.

They had to get a piece that could fit her and hold it.

They would need a LOT of practice before they could consistently use Mega Evolution if their opponent also had it.

It was dusk in Pallet Town. Delia was currently getting ready to head to her mailbox.

Ever since She had talked to Ash, things were not as good. When she had that panic attack, she could only sit and remember her life. When Ho-Oh kidnapped her as a child, being forced to serve under the Masked Man, reliving her final moments with Red.

She then sighed and took off her scrunchie. As she looked at a reflection in a mirror, she saw her hair take on its old appearance. And she saw herself become shorter and more … cheeky to put it nicely.

She then shook her head. As much as she wanted to believe Ash, she had gotten no proof that he was even alive.

Even then, once he learned what she used to be, would he even look at her again? Or even acknowledge her as his mother?

She used to steal Pokémon! The very thing she instilled in him to be against! She sighed, tied the scrunchie back on, and went out to the mailbox.

She opened it up and saw a package.

It was the name on the package that took her by surprise, though. Instead of being addressed to her or Ash …

It was addressed to Green.

Her old name.

She was taken aback by anyone else knowing it. How did this person find out!? She quickly checked the package. No trip strings on it, paper felt like normal, no weird shaking noises, no ticking, nothing.

Deciding to open it up inside, she then noticed a letter addressed to her. Grabbing it, she headed back inside. Opening the package, she was really surprised.

Inside, was her old mask, and her old gloves. She just stared at them in shock.

How did this person get them!? How did he even know she was here!? She then saw a note in the box.

To Delia, if I were still the moron I was when we were kids, Green.

If you have received this package, then Ash was telling me the truth of where you lived. I am sorry we can't be together again yet, but I won't stop trying to come back to you. You raised a splendid child who did not follow your old path before we met. I promise you I will find a way for us to be together again.

Even if I must dismantle hundreds of Team Rocket cells to get to you again.

From the Fighter who stole the Evolver's heart,

Red

P.S. Yellow was excited to see her godson! Hopefully her son and ours can be great friends!

She couldn't believe what she just read. The handwriting was an exact match! The way he phrased it, the Fighter Nickname, Yellow, even her title Evolver. It was all there. She could tell if it was a forgery, but nothing stuck out.

Even then, she remembered her old friend Yellow, a young girl who had become a sort of younger sister to Red, and whom she worked with to try and find him again.

She then opened the envelope and found a check.

For 100,000,000 Poke.

It was addressed to her, but no sign of Green anywhere. She then saw another note.

Given how long I've been gone, it's safe to assume that I might have a bit of unpaid child support in the back. As well as not sharing it with you when I should have, just be careful. Ash also told me how you were able to support him and yourself with the Pallet Town restaurant.

I always said you were a great cook.

Delia then had tears come into her eyes. He was alive, and he was waiting for the right moment to come home.

"Please Ash, make sure you find my old friends. I want us to be a complete family again." She prayed and looked out the window.

If she had looked earlier, she would have seen someone that she thought she would never see again in her life.

Or what he said.

"I promise you, Green, we will be a family again."
