The next morning at 9:30 Macey was still asleep.

Preston wandered into the living area to explore. Directly in front of the door was a straight staircase to the upstairs. The entryway had a mud rack area behind the door for coats, shoes, etc.

A sharp right from the door took him through the edge of the living room and pass a breakfast nook area into the kitchen.

The kitchen was spacious featuring a small square island with backless leather barstools, enough for six people, two on each side and one on the ends. Ceiling height cream quaker cabinets with beige granite counters.

Preston noted a large formal dining area tucked behind the kitchen and the half bathroom. As he retreated to the living room he felt the cold, large cream square tiles under his bare feet that extended through the main floor.

Back in the living room, he took in a plush gray area rug and sleek, modern coffee table. He then sunk into the wide, white couch, so soft, definitely some kind of down. The couch took up most of the room it was a giant sectional with three pieces making a U shape.

In front of him was a wall bordering the kitchen situated with at least a 85" flat screen in the middle of a large entertainment cabinet. He glanced at the open door to his left, the door to the bedroom, wondering if she had stirred.

He really didn't know what to do with himself, they hadn't brought phones, an iPod, a MP3 player. Their phones were being 'managed' by one of Maceys team.

Tap, tap eroded his thoughts.

At the door was the woman from the night before, he motioned her in leading the way to the couch. She was no longer dressed in pajamas. She had on black pointe pants and a matching blazer hugging her as if it was tailored for her. Broad shoulders and hips kept her balanced.

They sat on opposite sides of the sectional. After clearing her throat Maria spoke, "I need to apologize about last night, I'm afraid we had the wrong footing. Maceys got a rough go at things, but she wouldn't have brought you here if you didn't treat her well."

Preston gulped nervously, shaking off the warmth he felt for Macey, "I love her ma'am and I have for years and I, we are doing this for our child. I want what's best for them. We would truly appreciate your help if your willing to under take this. I know it's asking a lot but-"

She cut him off, placing a handle gently on his forearm, "I'm more than willing, last night caught me off guard."

She continued, "We need to figure out what all you need and I will go into the town this evening."

Preston nodded, he had been thinking, "First , prenatal care. She's been to ultrasounds, has prenatal's, but she needs ongoing care and we are going to need someone to deliver the baby… here. Macey doesn't want to risk a hospital." Maria nodded.

"Secondly, food, we need some groceries. Everything a baby needs bottles, clothes, everything."

Maria nodded, "I'll find a midwife with equipment. Well set up a visit first thing next week. I'll get food today. How far along is she?"

"18 weeks and 4 days," He replied swiftly.

"Okay, we have four months for the rest I will work out the details with both of you. Where is she?"

"Asleep," Preston nodded to the room, "would you like some coffee?"

"Thank you, but Im going to head off to the city shortly and start looking to make arrangements."
