When Victor rushed home after the earthquake, he immediately did a double take upon spotting the baby in Penny's arms. "Things got a bit chaotic," she sheepishly explained. "Meet your newest daughter, Phoebe Melissa."

"Patty and the kids okay?" he double checked after confirming the newborn was fine.

Penny nodded. "We're all fine," she confirmed. She gestured behind him, and he turned around to find a clearly exhausted Patty leaning against the wall.

Phoebe let out a wail and Patty groaned. Victor made his way over to his wife. "Your mother will take care of the baby, it's time to get you to bed, sweetheart." Their relationship was still on the rocks but they were determined to make it work for all three of the girls.

"But Phoebe!"

"Like I said, your mother's got the girls. You've had a big day, what with the earthquake and giving birth. Victor started gently herding her towards their bedroom and they both stopped dead in their tracks when the house shook from an aftershock. Once it was over, he helped Patty into bed.

"I'm dead on my fucking feet. The baby came so quickly." It was her quickest birth yet, quite a surprise when everything kicked in gear when her water broke just as the earthquake hit. And then her mother had to deal with their resident demon in the basement, always looking for a way to escape and cause trouble after earthquakes.

"It all worked out. Sleep tonight - your mother and I will take care of Phoebe."

"Named after my favorite aunt," Patty mumbled. Penny's sister had died young, when Patty was still a girl, but she had always adored her aunt. It made sense to name the newest baby after her.

"I know. Just rest," he encouraged. He was relieved when Patty's eyes finally shut and she went to sleep. Victor headed out into the sitting room and found Penny still holding the baby. She sighed in relief when he took Phoebe off her hands.

"I'm going to check on Prue and Piper again now - they were told not to leave their rooms for any reason."

"Thanks for taking care of my girls, Penny." He hated thanking her mother-in-law for anything but they had clearly gotten through today because of her.

"You're welcome. I wasn't going to let anything happen to them." And then Penny left to go see what trouble Prue and Piper were likely getting into.

Victor glanced down at the newborn in his arms. "Nice to properly meet you, Phoebe Melissa Halliwell. It's just you and me now, kid. Suppose I should actually introduce myself - I'm your daddy and I love you so very much. You and your sisters and mommy mean a lot to me. Don't you ever forget that." He kissed her tiny little forehead and fell just a little bit more in love with her. After finally tracking down the bassinet, he put her down in it and sat down on the couch to relax, feeling a jolt when another aftershock hit.

Even amidst the absolute chaos of the day, Victor and Patty didn't realize this was going to be one of the last good ones they'd ever have as a family (at least while she was still alive).
