"I'm going now."

"Take care, Yuuto."

"Bye, Yuu-kun."

"Until later, onii-chan."

And so I left home to start my extra classes. Last night, Nagasawa-sensei sent me a message giving me an address and a time to show up. I'm guessing that's when our classes start.

Though strangely the address she gave me isn't at Ginsei Academy. I thought that the extra classes would be held there as well, but maybe there was some problem and she had to change places.

Anyway, that's where I'm headed to now. Lizel-senpai is already traveling to where we'll go to train, that's why she's not picking me up with her car. She apologized for that, but I said it was fine, getting a ride is nice, but I don't want to abuse Lizel-senpai's kindness.

Luckily, the address wasn't really far, just had to catch a train and walk a bit to get there.

"It should be… 307."

I arrived at an apartment building. No matter how I looked, that was the only thing I could see. Certainly not what I was expecting.

Checking Nagasawa-sensei's message, I confirmed this was indeed the right place. Maybe it's some kind of magic or something that disguises the place?

Anyway, there wasn't much more for me to do other than going in and trying to find Nagasawa-sensei. So I went up to room 307 and pressed the doorbell.

"Coming."

Pretty sure that was Nagasawa-sensei's voice. At least I'm in the right place. I'm not sure if I would be able to show my face if I got lost on top of getting those horrible grades.

After a minute or so, Nagasawa-sensei opened the door. From her casual clothes and the look of the room's insides, this really seems like an apartment rather than a classroom.

"Y-you're here already."

"Yeah. I know it's earlier than what Nagasawa-sensei told me, but I'm really serious about doing this."

Even without taking the training into consideration, I really want to fix these grades. Something like that must look bad even for the teacher responsible, and I don't want to add more trouble for Nagasawa-sensei.

"I-I see. You really are determined to do this no matter what."

Nagasawa-sensei took a few breaths in and out, as if preparing herself for something. I guess I'm not the only one who needs determination. A teacher's job really is tough.

"Alright. Please come in."

Nagasawa-sensei let me in. Yup, no matter how I look at it, this is an apartment, not a classroom. But why would Nagasawa-sensei invite me to her place to study? If it was a girl my age, I could think of a few things, but she's an adult and my teacher, so I might as well keep my fantasies for myself.

"Do you mind if I take some time to prepare?"

"Not at all, of course."

"Then, you can wait inside the room. You're free to walk around, but please don't snoop too much… or do anything too creepy."

I couldn't quite catch that last part, but it probably wasn't important. Soon after I entered the room, Nagasawa-sensei left to make her preparations.

Yup, this is a bedroom alright. And if I had to guess, it's Nagasawa-sensei's. Isn't she being too defenseless here? I mean, if I was some kind of pervert, I'd basically be free to get her underwear and stuff like that.

I suppose she doesn't see me as the opposite gender, since she's an adult and all. I'd say it reminds me of Miyako, but I'm pretty sure Miyako sees me as a man.

Anyways, there wasn't much else to do but wait, so I waited.

And I waited.

And waited.

Okay… this is taking a while. Must have been over half an hour already. I'm starting to get worried here. Maybe I should go after her.

But then I started hearing footsteps. Oops, almost got caught being too impatient. Let's just sit back down and wait for her.

Nagasawa-sensei opened the door, and she was… without her glasses and with her hair let down. I hadn't noticed how beautiful she is.

But that's not it! She came in here with only a towel covering her body. I mean, I guess this is her room, but didn't she tell me to wait here?! I won't stand for being falsely accused of trying to spy on her!

"H-hum, Nagasawa-sensei?"

"D-don't say anything embarrassing. You're the one who said you wanted to speed things up."

I did say that, but I'm starting to think there might have been a misunderstanding here.

"Nagasawa-sensei, what exactly do you think I came here to do?"

"Y-you're going to make me say it?! Y-you came here to have your way with me and make me change your grades so you can go with your Cards to play with them."

"So there was a misunderstanding!"

"What's there to misunderstand? You're Lovers, of course you played around too much and got bad grades, and you were the only one in the class to get bad grades, so it would be just me and you the whole summer. I'd try to teach you, but you'd use your wiles to seduce me, and by the end of summer I'd do whatever you asked. You said you wanted to speed things up, so I even invited you here! You might have conquered my body, but as a teacher I won't yield."

"How have I already conquered your body?! No, wait, let's stop for a second and think about this."

Honestly, Nagasawa-sensei's scenario sounded more like a fantasy she might have, but I didn't imagine my reputation was so bad this kind of thing would happen. I guess I also owe it to past Lovers.

Anyway, I tried my best to explain everything from the beginning. Basically, I told Nagasawa-sensei that I knew I had to take more classes to learn, but I also needed to use summer to get stronger for the Devil King War, and that's why I asked her to 'speed things up' so I could make the best time possible.

In short, Nagasawa-sensei was expecting me to pull a hentai-like scenario, so when I said I wanted to 'speed things up' she basically interpreted it as going to the last chapter of that.

"So basically what I meant was that I wanted to get through all the lessons and the test in, like, a week or so. If possible.."

"You… you…"

Eh? Nagasawa-sensei seems mad. I thought I was solving the misunderstanding, why is it backfiring?!

"I'll kill you!"

"Eh?!"

That's not something a teacher should say! Also, watch out with that towel! It's going to fall!

Luckily she wasn't really trying to kill me, or at least I think so. She limited herself to throwing a bunch of stuff at me. She even threw the towel eventually.

Anyway, once she finally calmed down, I came out from behind my cover (her bed). I was going to ask if she was fine now, but then she threw something else my way.

"Stay there! I'm going to get dressed."

"Y-yes ma'am."

Seems like I'm not in the clear just yet. Nagasawa-sensei did as she said and got dressed. I have to admit part of me wanted to take a peek, but the fear of losing an eye or something was stronger.

A while after, Nagasawa-sensei did let me come out of hiding. She was smiling, but that only made her look even scarier.

"So, you want to cover everything in a week, huh. Alright then, I'm up for the challenge. Hehehehehe."

[Physical threat level 1, psychological threat level 10.]

E-eh? Can I still give up? Of course, I didn't have the courage to actually ask that. I just hope there's still some mercy left.

Nagasawa-sensei had me set things up so we could actually study. Of course, I didn't dare go against her. Luckily, it didn't take too long to finish setting up.

It took a while, but we're finally getting to my original objective of studying.

"Looking at your test, it really seems like you don't know left from right, like you really don't care about anything. But that's not the impression I get from you during classes. So tell me what happened, Yuuto."

Once Nagasawa-sensei got into her 'teacher mode' the threat level lowered considerably.

"I really don't know. I admit it's hard for me to remember some things, but I thought I'd studied enough."

"Then, let's try to check what you got right. Do you have any idea why you had less trouble with those?"

"Well, I can't see any relation… no, wait. These things… I studied them with one of my Cards, not long after I enrolled into Ginsei Academy."

I hadn't paid attention to the questions I had gotten right, but now that I look, I can see they were the subjects I studied with Reina. We ended up calling off those classes a little before the Devil VS Lovers Festival was announced, so we didn't cover much with those.

"Then, maybe you find her teaching methods better than mine? See this question, I basically covered this whole subject in class, yet you got it wrong. But this here is something you studied with this Card of yours, and you got it right. So is there any difference between her lessons and mine? Aside from the perverted stuff, of course."

"W-we didn't do that during lessons."

It doesn't look like Nagasawa-sensei believes me though. Her look seems to say 'yeah yeah, sure sure' or something along those lines.

Anyway, I told Nagasawa-sensei there weren't really any big differences in teaching methods, none that I knew at least.

Nagasawa-sensei asked for a moment to think. Meanwhile, I decided to take another read at the question I got wrong. I tried reading it, and my head started hurting. Come to think of it, I also got this headache during the test itself.

[Could it be…?]

Hm? What's up, Arcana?

[Yuuto, your bad grades might have something to do with your memory problems. Tell your teacher that, when you were younger, you had your memories sealed magically for a surgery.]

Huh? Is that even a thing? But if my missing memories are the reasons for my bad grades, I guess I need an explanation, and I'm not sure if Nagasawa-sensei would believe me if I said I can talk with my Arcana.

I told Nagasawa-sensei what the Arcana said. She seemed surprised for a second, and then seemed to get mad.

"Why didn't you tell me sooner?!"

She slapped me on the back of the head! Shouldn't that be the 1 place she should avoid hitting at all costs?!

"Now everything makes sense. In short, because my lessons were building up on memories you have sealed, the knowledge itself was being blocked. But with a few supplementary lessons, like what you did with your Card, you should be able to learn just fine. Don't you know that's something you have to disclose to the school so we can ensure your education?"

"S-sorry, I didn't know."

"*sigh* Fine. Let's get started with something simple. … Yes, God should do."

Huh? What? Like, are we going to talk about religion or something?

"In case Yuuto isn't already aware, God is a very real being. Though they're not like the descriptions in any particular religion or mythology. In fact, those fictional gods were inspired by the real one long ago."

That's a big bomb to drop all of a sudden! So God is a real person, but they're not like the bible, or any mythology says…

"Then, how was God, if they weren't like the descriptions I know? Actually, are they even still alive?"

"That's what makes the subject of God simple, a lot of it is unknown or lost to time, so unless you plan to go into research you only need to know some basic things. Namely, that God created everything that exists, from devils to humans, to the worlds we live in, to magic itself. Everything came from them."

That… actually seems interesting. Now I even got curious to look a little more into it, but I suppose for now I should focus on what I have to learn.

So, for about 2 more hours, Nagasawa-sensei and I kept talking about God. Since it flowed like a conversation, I only noticed this was the first lesson when it was already over.

I'm really surprised by how good of a teacher Nagasawa-sensei is. Makes me feel like I really can learn just about anything.

"This should be enough for now. Let's take a brief pause so Yuuto can go grab everything you'll need."

"Huh? What do you mean, Nagasawa-sensei?"

I mean, I figure I'll only need my pen and notebook, and I already have those with me.

"Didn't Yuuto say you wanted to finish in a week? It might not be impossible, but we'll have to dedicate as much time as we can. So, to save some time, Yuuto can just stay here for a while. Take it as a prelude to your trip with all those girls."

Nagasawa-sensei's fearsome smile was back! And I have to deal with her like this for a week?!

While almost being kicked out, I had to go back home to get some stuff for a makeshift study camp. I really considered not going back, but I feared Nagasawa-sensei hunting me like a horror movie villain, so I ultimately decided to give into my fate and went back to her room.

For the next week, I'll be studying with a great, but fearsome, teacher. I just hope I live to tell the tale.
