The next day brought a new day of festivities once the jousting field was cleaned up and the dividing fence was rebuilt. It was a good day of jousts...no one died this time. Jory did well in the joust losing by decision and Ser Jamie made it all the way to the semi finals. Ser Loras Tyrell also made it to the semis defeating some pretty good Knights in the process including Meryn Trant and a few other Kingsguard. Many had said the Knight Of The Flowers was a good warrior but this was jousting...Serena and Torrhen both would love to see him try and take on these same Knights in actual combat.

There was a day between the jousts and the finals and everyone was ready to see who would win. The last contestants were Ser Loras,Ser Jamie,Ser Gregor, and Sandor Celgane. Ser Loras had to face Gregor. From what it appeared he did not seemed phased by the fact that he had to face the biggest man in Westeros. Most of those who faced him had some kind of shiver of fear running now through them before the fight.

Loras rode in on his mighty steed draped with a blanket with the coat of arms of House Tyrell. Wore a nice shiny piece of armor that glimmered in the sun as the rays reflected off of the steel. He paraded around the field with a rose in hand looking for someone to give his favors. His horse stopped right in front of the Starks. He then leaned over and handed the rose to Sansa who took it with a smile and thanked the Knight who bowed his head before slowly trotting over to his side of the field. His squire ran over and handed him his helmet that he put on before taking his lance and got in position. Ser Gregor did the same on his side of the field.

Serena examined the Knight Of Flowers taking in every detail. His form, how he rode, everything and did the same with Ser Gregor. The joust did not look like it would end in Loras's favor. As the pair was getting ready to send their horses in a gallop Sansa gripped at Serena's arm in fear for the knight sensing what Serena had. The horses then were sent galloping towards each other. It almost felt as if time had slowed down as they got closer and closer to each other. Finally they met in the middle of the field and Loras's lance hit Gregor sending him and his horse falling over right on top of the fence crushing it under his weight.

The entire crowd was shocked that he could pull off the win over Gregor but most were happy. Sansa's grip loosened as the knight appeared to be ok and had won the joust. He was making the rounds bowing before the King. The crowd gasped as they watched the Mountain swung his sword nearly cutting the head off his horse. The man then marched towards Ser Loras. He swung the blade and hit Loras knocking the young man off of his steed. He went to swing again but was stopped by the blade of the Hound.

The siblings began to duel it out. Torrhen looked to the King who was looking more and more frustrated with each swing of a blade.

"Stop this madness in the name of your King!" He screamed his voice echoing through the fields.

Sandor dropped down taking a knee with the tip of his blade stuck in the ground just missing the blade that was swung right over his head. The larger man tossed his blade down and stormed off the field the anger from losing clearly painted on his face. Loras then grabbed the Hound's hand lifting it up in victory as the crowd erupted in applause. Shortly after the crowd began to disperse. Septa Mordane offered to take the girls back to the Keep to give the twins some downtime.

Serena and Torrhen were walking through the town looking around and stopping at some shops and getting a better feel for the city itself. They didn't really buy anything but a loaf of bread they split because they were hungry. They eventually made their way back to the Red Keep. When they got back inside the twins split up and Serena stopped in the throne room. She looked at the Iron Throne not at all in awe. She had heard stories that the seat of Kings was built with a thousand blades of Aegon's enemies. Growing up she imagined a chair touching the clouds but it wasn't as big as all that. It didn't look very comfortable either. How could a King sit on that for the entirety of their reign? No wonder the Mad King went mad.

Yelling could then be heard from the Small Council chamber. They listened to the argument and realized the voice sounded Robert? What was Robert doing at a council meeting? And what was happening that got him all riled up? They stood there listening to the King screaming.

"Run back to Winterfell! I'll have your head on a spike! I'll put it there myself!"

Ned then exited from the Council chambers with a look of sadness on his face. He saw Torrhen and Serena standing there with looks of shock on their faces at hearing the King losing it at his oldest friend.

"Get the girls and help pack their things...have no one help you."

The pair didn't say a word and went to do what they had been told. They had never seen Ned so nervous and they had never heard Robert that angry. The King didn't seem like the kind of man to get that angry. Something had to have happened that had Ned renouncing his title as Hand of the King despite not wanting it he was a man of honor...what did Robert ask of him?

Serena took Sansa and Torrhen took Arya. The girls were shocked when their adoptive siblings barged into their rooms telling them to pack their things. They packed up everything in record time emptying the contents of their wardrobes into their trunks and then ran to quickly pack their own things. Still there was no word from Ned as to what happened and they hopped to find out shortly. A knock then came at Serena's door.

"Your father wants to see you." Jory said.

Serena thanked the head of the Household guard before he took his leave. She did one more check around the room ensuring everything was packed and ready to go before leaving to answer her fathers summons. It wasn't a long walk from her bedchamber for the Hand's chamber where Ned was packing up some documents nearly prepared to leave. He turned around to see Serena with Torrhen arriving shortly after.

"Are the children ready?"

"They are father." Torrhen replied.

It was then Littlefinger entered the room with a knock on the door. The twins turned around to see the Master of Coin standing in the doorway.

"Lord Stark...the King went on about you at some length after you left. The word treason was mentioned a few times I believe."

Ned walked closer to Baelish with Torrhen and Serena stepping aside.

"What can I do for you Lord Baelish?" He asked.

"If you are still here by nightfall I can show you to the last person Jon Arryn spoke with if that still interesting to you?"

It did still interest Ned however he had to continue to prepare for the journey back to Winterfell. If he had the time he would.

"I don't have the time."

"It would only take an hour but as you say."

The seed had been planted. Ned knew there was something was amiss and Hand or not he wanted to get to the bottom of it. If it would only take as long as Littlefinger said perhaps there would be time for it.

"Torrhen go make sure your sisters are ready to leave. Serena come with me." Ned said grabbing his sword.

Ned,Serena, and Jory left the chamber following Baelish out to see the last person that Arryn spoke to. Perhaps it would give some insight as to what happened to him. They walked though the keep reaching the stables and mounting up and riding through the city. Serena was vigilant ensuring no one came after Ned as no one knew he was no longer Hand of the King and even still he was a noble Lord and anyone would love to get a shot in at one even the honorable Eddard Stark.

They rode for a few minutes before arriving at Baelish's brothel where they dismounted and walked inside. Many gave Ned a look but his eyes never deviated from right in front of him. Even some of the girls gave Serena a look...one she did not reciprocate. It was a shame many of these beautiful women were forced to sell their bodies for gold. Sure some enjoyed it but many had no other choice...truly a shame. They arrived upstairs where Baelish put the pair in a empty room and went to grab the person of interest.

A moment went by when Petyr returned with a woman holding a baby in her arms that was quietly asleep. Considering Lord Arryn had an interest in her and she had a child there was only one conclusion...that it was another one of Roberts bastards. What was Jon's fascination with Robert's bastards. He was looking after Gendry and apparently this one. Robert didn't seem to care much for them...that's if he knew about that. A man like Robert definitely had more than two bastards.

"This is Mhaegen. This is who I was talking about." "My Lord Hand." She said with a bow.

Ned was going to object as he was no longer Hand but didn't.

"I will leave you too it."

Ned then started asking her questions. At first about Lord Arryn and what he wanted. The questions were fairly similar to what he had asked Gendry. Of the baby was healthy and happy and the child appeared to be quite healthy and all was in order. Mhaegen appeared to be in love with Robert asking for Ned to put in the good word with the King. In that moment Serena actually felt bad for Cersei. She was married to the King and he spent his days fucking other women and having most likely dozens of bastards with dozens of women.

"Was there anything else Lord Arryn wanted?" Ned asked.

Mhaegen knew what he was referring to and shook her head.

"No my Lord...he wasn't that kind of man. Just wanted to know about the baby."

"Thank you." He replied dismissing her. He and Serena exited back to the other room with many questions on their minds.

"Brothels make a much better investment than ships I've found." Baelish said.

"What do you know of the King's bastards?" Ned asked.

"How many does he have?" Ned asked.

"Well he has more than you." Baelish joked.

Ned wasn't too fond of the joke but let it slide.

"Why was Jon tracking them all down?"

"He was the King's hand perhaps Robert wanted them looked after."

None of it really made sense. Robert didn't care for the bastards...he never even mentioned them in conversation. It didn't seem at all likely. Maybe Jon was looking after them feeling like a grandfather to them after raising Robert.

"Not likely. Thank you Lord Baelish."

Petyr went to see them out of the establishment. Ned turned to see Jory distracted by a woman who had her breast hanging out.

"Jory." He called getting no response. "Jory!" He called again this time raising his voice and getting his attention.

As the head of the Household Guard walked by Serena slapped him upside the head with a slight chuckle. They exited the building and began preparing their steeds for the ride back to the keep. However Serena stopped when she heard what sounded like soldiers marching in unison. She turned to look and saw a small group of Lannister soldiers marching towards them. Ned and Jory soon noticed it as Jamie was riding in on a horse with a look of anger on his face.

"What is the meaning of this?" Ned asked.

Jaime stopped his horse and looked down at the Lord.

"Your wife has my brother." He said slightly seething.

"I wasn't under the assumption you Lannister's card for the Imp." Serena said.

The golden haired man looked to the girl and back to the Lord of Winterfell.

"Take your men and leave." Jory said. "This is the Hand of the King."

"Former Hand of the King." Jaime replied.

"My wife did nothing I didn't command."

"I'll get the city watch." Baelish said running away.

There was a moment silence that filled the air along with the tensions that could be clearly felt. Jaime appeared to be pondering the situation before motioning to his men. Two men then lifted up their spears and tossed them straight into the chests of two guardsmen causing them to immediately hit the floor. Ned,Serena, and Jory pulled out their swords as soldiers came closer to them. Serena quickly took care of the one that approached her blocking and quickly slashing at his stomach and he fell to the floor. Ned and Jory took their men out without issue. Jaime then dismounted his horse drawing his blade approaching Ned.

Jory got in the way engaging in a duel with the Kingsguard. The clinking of steel rang out though the street as they fought. It was then Jaime pulled a dagger from his belt and jammed it into Jory's eye. Serena and Ned were shocked as they watched him hit the floor dagger still sheathed in his eye socket. Serena turned her attention to Jaime with hate burning in her eyes and the Lannister noticed.

He lifted up his blade pointing to at Serena calling her out. She answered charging Jaime pushing right passed Ned's arm which he stuck out to stop her from engaging with Jaime. She was a great swordswoman but he was unsure about her abilities against Jaime who was renown around the Seven Kingdoms and Ned had experience with renown warriors. However it was for naught as she pushed right passed her blade clashing with Jaime's.

The two engaged in a pretty even sided duel slowly walking around in circles each studying each other's body and face signals seeing if the other would give up their move or show a weak spot in their form. Occasionally they'd swing their blade engaging in a short skirmish hoping to catch the other off guard. Serena knew she had what it took to defeat the Kingslayer but wasn't overconfident knowing to never underestimate her opponent. Her attacks were aggressive and constant keeping the Knight on his feet struggling to keep his eyes on her form barely able to move his own blade to defend himself. The soldiers watched in awe as the woman was giving Jaime Lannister a run for his gold in a duel. In fact Ned was somewhat surprised that she was holding her own so well.

A Lannister soldier attempted to protect their Lord by intervening but Serena saw him and quickly twisted around slashing him across the chest. Another stepped forward and Ned jumped in protect her before another saw the opportunity to thrust a spear into his leg. Serena stopped hearing the sound of the steel crashing against the cobblestone. She turned her blue eyes seeing her father hurled over on the ground the large spear sticking out from his leg blood dripping out from the wound pooling beneath him.

"My brother...I want him back." Jaime said mourning his horse and riding almost in shame the soldiers following close behind.

Serena dropped her sword and crouched next to her father checking on his injury. As she did the city guard arrived moment to late.
