Episode 288: Attack On the Weather Institute!
I was originally going to get right to the Gym battle at Fortree City, but then I remembered the Weather Institution episode, so I had to do that first, so here it is, and for real, it will be the battle against Winona. I solemnly swear by it. So enjoy
Just about a day had passed since has ended the threat of the Black Sun Clan. Joined by Xipak, Celeste, Yugi and his friends, they continued on their way to Foretree City continues. Along the way, the group saw something come floating above them. It was a Pokémon looked like a gray cloud with a single wisp extending from the top of its head. It had what looks like white mask over its eyes.
"Are you seeing what I'm seeing?" Sora asked.
"You think it's a Pokémon?" Kairi asked.
"If it is, then it's not any Pokémon I've ever seen," Joey said.
"Yeah, what is it?" Tristan asked.
"I think I know what it is," Serenity said. Everyone all looked at her. "I think it's a Castform."
"Castform, huh? Better have a look," Kairi said, taking out her Rotom Phone to analyze it. The image on her Rotom Phone has the Pokémon and has it in different forms. In one form its lower half becomes pure white, while the head turns orange has develops small orange spheres around it. This gives it the overall appearance of the sun above a small cloud. Another form it has a dark gray lower half resembling a storm cloud. The head turns blue and resembles a raindrop. And in the third form, its head turns purplish-blue. The rest of the body changes into the shape of a mint green, cumulonimbus cloud.
Castform, the Weather Pokémon
Type: Normal
Castorm is an artificial Pokémon that has the ability to transform its appearance depending on the weather. Castform also gains the power of the weather conditions. Its Sunny Form is a Fire-type, its Rainy form is a Water-type, and its Snowy Form is an Ice-type.
"An artificial Pokémon that takes on the appearance of whatever the weather is. That's amazing," Kairi said.
"Serenity, just how do you know about it?" Joey asked his sister.
"I saw one up close once. A Trainer came by and it showed us its other forms. I was mostly taken by how cute it looked.
"You got that right," a new voice said. The voice belonged to a small and slender young girl. She has shiny lilac-colored hair, purple eyes with small eyelashes, and thin eyebrows. She wears a fancy and slightly tomboyish outfit that makes her slightly resemble a prince. It consists of a long sleeved lilac shirt with a large white collar and gold edges, thin gold cuffs and a white front with gold buttons and edging, and skinny fit pants that are violet at the top and darker purple at the bottom, with a jagged pattern around the knee area separating the two colors. On her feet, she wears white socks and black Mary Jane shoes. "Castform were created when the weather institution first opened up, so they were kept to monitor the weather. But it wasn't long until the Castform began to multiply and then made their homes out here in the wild. Trainers would have often come around and catch them."
"Who are you?" Sora asked.
"Oh, sorry. I was just coming by when I overheard your conversation. My name's Anabel. What are your names?" Anabel asked.
"I'm Sora, and this Pikachu is my partner," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Pika, Pika," Xipak said.
"I'm Kairi, and this is Angel," Kairi said.
"Eevee, vee," Angel said.
"Eevee," Celeste said.
"I'm Lisia. Nice to meet you," Lisia said.
"My name's Yugi."
"I'm Téa."
"Joey."
"I'm Tristan."
"The name's Mai."
"My name's Bakura."
"I'm Duke."
"My name's Serenity."
"Nice to meet you. And it's good to meet you, Pikachu, Angel, Xipak, and Celeste," Anabel said.
"Xipak? Celeste?" Yugi asked.
"This Pikachu and this Eevee here," Anabel said.
"Is that what your nicknames are?" Sora asked. Xipak and Celeste nodded. "Somehow, they sit right with me."
"I feel the same way, but I can't explain it," Kairi said.
"Pika, Pika," Pikachu said.
"Eevee, vee," Angel said.
"Castform! Castorm, Castform!" The wild Castform exclaimed. Kairi yelped as she remembered.
"Oh, that's right! I almost forgot about him!" Kairi exclaimed. Joey was dumbfounded by what Kairi said.
"Him? Him who?" Joey asked. Lisia just giggled.
"She's talking about Castform," Lisia said. Anabel was amazed by how Kairi can tell the sex of the Pokémon just by looking. Kairi turned to Angel.
"Okay, Angel. I'm going with you," Kairi said.
"Eevee!" Angel said. She stood in front of Kairi, waiting for instructions. "Angel! Swift!" Angel fires Swift and it struck the weather Pokémon, making it turn to its attacker. Castform causes a brght sunlight to appear out of the blue and transforms into its Sunny Form. Castform creates a red orb of fire and sends it at the female Eevee. "Dodge it!" Angel avoids the attack using her speed.
"What move was that?!" Sora said.
"That was Weather Ball. The Castform Trainer said that Weather Ball takes on a different type, depending on what type its form's in. And since Castform's in his Sunny Form, Weather Ball's a Fire-type move," Anabel said.
"Angel! Quick Attack!" Kairi ordered. Angel uses her speed attack and rammed into Castform. "Now use Headbutt!" Angel headbutts Castform. Castform then manipulates the weather and causes it to rain. Castform transforms into its Rainy Form. Castform fires another Weather Ball and it comes out as an orb of water and fires it at Angel. "Dodge and by using Quick Attack!" Angel avoids Castform's attack again. Castform manipulates the weather again and hail started to fall. Castform transforms into its Snowy Form while Angel gets pelted by the falling ice.
"First Sunny Day and then Rain Dance, but now Hail. Castform doesn't just change its shape, but Weather changes along with it. Weather Ball is going to come out an Ice-type attack," Sora said. And just as Sora said, Castform hurls Weather Ball and comes out as a snowball.
"Dodge and use Swift!" Kairi ordered. Angel fires Swift and it homes in on her target. Castform took the hit and fell to the ground weakened. Kairi took out a Pokéball and threw it right at Castform, making it flow inside the Pokéball. The Pokéball wobbles around and around for a moment before stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Kairi's Pokémon Box goes off asking her if she wants to keep Castform with her. She chose to send Castform over to Professor Oak's lab.
Good catch, Kairi," Sora said. Kairi smiled as he have her a kiss on the cheek. Pikachu did the same for Angel.
"Thank you, Sora," Kairi said.
"That was impressive, Kairi. But I'm really curious to know how you knew that Castform was a male," Anabel said.
"Well, Pokémon pretty much have the same kind of mannerisms as human beings do. And I could tell just by looking at the Pokémon and based on their personalities. There are Pokémon that have some personalities fitting for boys even though they are girls," Kairi said.
"I gotta admit, that's impressive, Kairi. What about you, Anabel? How did you know Xipak and Celeste's nicknames?" Yugi asked.
"Well, I knew it because they told me," Anabel said. The whole group were confused.
"They told you?" The group all said in unison.
"You mean, they can actually talk to you?" Mai asked.
"They actually can. You see, ever since I was little, I found that I can sense the emotions of not only Pokémon, but other living things, too. That even includes people. So I can communicate with Pokémon with the use of telepathy," Anabel said.
"Telepathy? You mean, you have-?" Sora asked.
"Psychic powers? You could say that," Anabel said.
"You know, there was a Gym Leader I battled in Saffron City a while back who uses Psychic-type Pokémon. Not only that, but she also has psychic powers," Sora said.
"I remember her," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Are you heading for Fortree City by any chance?" Anabel asked.
"Yeah, I'm heading there for a Gym battle," Sora said.
"I would like to know if you're also taking part of the Hoenn Battle Frontier, too?" Anabel asked.
"Yeah, I am. So far, I won 5 Gym Badges and 5 Frontier Symbols," Sora said.
"That's really impressive," Anabel said. The ears of Pikachu, Angel, Xipak, and Celeste perks up.
"Pika!" Pikachu and Xipak said.
"Vee!" Angel and Celeste said.
"What's with them?" Téa asked.
"They said someone's coming," Anabel said.
They were right when they saw a scientist running.
"By any chance, are you Pokémon Trainers?" The scientist asked.
"Yeah, we're Trainers, but why?" Bakura asked.
"Thank goodness, because I was just looking for help!" The scientist said.
"Looking for help?" Duke asked.
"Are you in trouble?" Kairi asked.
"We all are," the scientist said.
"What happened?" Serenity asked.
"It started out as an ordinary day at the weather institution, but these strange people came and terrorized us. They've taken most of the staff hostage," the scientist explained.
"Who?" Yugi asked.
"I don't know, but they weren't the friendliest people that I have ever met," the scientist said.
"Look, can you tell us what these people look like?" Sora asked.
"And try to remember," Lisia added.
"Well, I don't know who they are, but they had Pokémon with them. They were Sealeo, Walrein, Corphish, and Crawdaunt. And they all looked like pirates, dressed in blue," the scientist described. Sora, Kairi, and Lisia knew who fits the description perfectly.
"Team Aqua!" Sora, Kairi, and Lisia exclaimed.
"Team Aqua?" Yugi asked.
"Who are they?" Joey asked.
"Bad news, that's what," Sora said.
"How did you get out?" Téa asked.
"I got out from the backdoor while they weren't looking, so I made a break for it to find some help, and thankfully, I found you," the scientist said.
"Show us the way, and you can fill us in on why they're there," Sora said.
"Okay. Follow me," the scientist said, showing the group the way to the weather institution.
Speaking of which, the entire staff were being rounded up like they were wild cattle. So they sicced their Pokémon on them if any one of them tries to get away.
"You think we'll find the information we're looking for in here?" One of the male grunts asked.
"If Shelly says it's here, it's here. Besides, the big boss wouldn't send us here if it wasn't important," one of the female grunts said.
"I guess that's fair," the male grunt said.
Outside, the scientist has led the group to the weather institution.
"There it is. That's the place," the scientist said.
"And Team Aqua's inside?" Duke asked.
"Yes," the scientist said.
"You mentioned something about weather phenomenons that happened thousands years ago. Why would Team Aqua be interested in that?" Mai asked.
"I don't know. But hiding somewhere inside the institute is William. He's been in hiding ever since they arrived. As much I wanna help him, but I don't wanna get caught when I go inside," the scientist said.
"You did everything you could. We'll take it from here. You go to Fortree City and get to the police station, and let them know that Team Aqua's here," Sora said.
"Okay. Be careful," the scientist said, running off.
Further inside, Shelly and Matt are searching the weather institution for any signs of William.
"We'll split up in three groups. You three go that way," Shelly said, pointing to her left. "Matt, you take three with you and go that way." Shelly pointed to her right. "The rest are with me."
"You three are with me," Matt said, pointing to the grunts with him and they nodded as they went off to find him.
Sora, Kairi, Lisia, Anabel Yugi, Téa, Joey, Tristan, Mai, Bakura, Duke, Serenity, Pikachu, Angel, Xipak, and Celeste have entered inside the weather institution.
"Okay, guys, we'll have to split up to cover more ground," Sora said.
"Duke, Tristan, and I will go look and see if we can find the hostages," Joey said.
"Good thinking," Sora said.
"Téa, Mai, Serenity, Bakura, and I will see if we find William in one of the rooms," Yugi said.
"The rest of us will do the same thing. But keep your eyes peeled for Team Aqua, because they're not going to let us stop them," Sora said.
"Sora's right. Team Aqua's not a laughing matter," Anabel said.
"One more thing. We message one another when we find him," Sora said.
"That shouldn't be too hard," Mai said.
"Okay, let's go," Kairi said.
With that said, Sora, Kairi, Lisia, Anabel, Pikachu, Angel, Xipak, and Celeste went to the left as Yugi, Téa, Mai, Bakura, and Serenity went to the right. Joey, Tristan, and Duke went to find the hostages to free them.
Sora, Kairi, Lisia, Anabel, Pikachu, Angel, Xipak, and Celeste wondered through the halls and they came across the approaching grunts.
"Not one step more, Team Aqua!" Sora told them.
"Get out of the way, kids, and you won't get hurt!" One of the grunts countered.
"You're the ones who are gonna get hurt," Sora said.
The grunts took out some Pokéballs and threw them and out came Crawdaunt.
"Crawdaunt! Bubble Beam!" The grunts ordered. The Crawdaunt fired their Bubble Beams right at the small group, so Xipak jumped forward.
"Xiapk, what are you doing?" Kairi asked.
Xipak unleashed a Thunderbolt, blocking the Crawdaunt's Bubble Beam.
"Why you!" The first grunt barked.
"Pikachu! You use Thunderbolt, too!" Sora ordered. Pikachu fired Thunderbolt and shocked the Crawdaunt. "Retreat!" Sora, Kairi, Lisia, Anabel, Pikachu, Angel, Xipak, and Celeste ran off. The first grunt made contact with Shelly.
"Squad A to Shelly. We were encountered by four young Trainers and they attacked. They're somewhere in the facility!" The first grunt said.
"Roger that," Shelly said. She made contact with the second squad. "Squad B, be on the look out for four young Pokémon Trainers. Eliminate them when you come in contact with them!"
"Roger," grunts on Squad B said. They spotted Yugi, Téa, Mai, Bakura, and Serenity.
"Stop right there!" The squad leader called out.
"I thought Shelly said they were four!" One of the other grunts said.
"There must be more inside," the squad leader said. Yugi, Téa, Mai, Bakura, and Serenity took out their Pokéballs and threw them.
"Go! Sirfetch'd!" Yugi called out.
"Dragonair! Go!" Téa called out.
"Milotic! Go!" Mai called out.
"Raichu! Go!" Bakura called out.
"Azumarill! Go!" Serenity called out.
Their Pokéballs opened and out came their Pokémon. Téa's Dragonair is pink and has orange pearls. Stars swirls around Dragonair upon entry.
The Team Aqua grunts took their own Pokéballs and threw them. Out came a bunch of Walrein.
"Tell us where the leading researcher is!" The squad leader demanded.
"Even if we knew, we wouldn't tell you creeps anything!" Téa said.
"But if you want him, then you'll have to beat us," Mai said.
"We plan to! Walrein! Ice Beam!" The female grunt ordered. The Walrein fired Ice Beam rght them.
"Sirfetch'd! Use your shield!" Yugi called out. Sirfetch'd uses its shield to block the Walrein's Ice Beam. "Use Metoer Assault!" Sirfetch'd's body becomes surrounded in a yellow aura. It then thrusts its leek forward, causing the aura to travel down the leek until it gathers at the tip in a ball of energy, which then bursts into a yellow aura that surrounds the leek and Sirfetch'd. It then charges forward and struck the Walrein with its leek at full force.
"Dragonair! Use Thunder!" Téa ordered.
"Milotic! Use Dragon Breath!" Mai ordered.
"Raichu! Use Zap Cannon!" Bakura ordered.
"Azumarill! Use Hidden Power!" Serenity ordered.
The other Pokémon launched their attacks on the Ice Break Pokémon. One of the Walrein ends up being paralyzed.
"Get them back with Ice Fang!" The squad leader ordered. The Walrein rushes at the opposing Pokémon with their tusks emitting ice.
"Dodge it!" Yugi, Téa, Mai, Bakura, and Serenity called out. The Pokémon dodged their Ice Fang before the Walrein could land a cold bite on them.
"Sirfetch'd! Use Leaf Blade!" Yugi ordered. Sirfetch'd's leak gave off a green glow and swung it like a sword, striking the Walrein on the mark, making them fall. The grunts all became angered by what they were seeing.
"You little punks!" The squad leader growled.
Over to Joey, Tristan, and Duke, they found the hostages and the Team Aqua grunts guarding them. The Pokémon with them are Sealeo and Crawdaunt.
"Sealeo and Crawdaunt. Those must be Team Aqua," Duke said.
"Brilliant observation, Sherlock. What gave you that clue?" Tristan asked.
"Just saying," Duke said.
"We should rush 'em. Make those punks beg for mercy," Joey said.
"We could do that, but they'll just use one of the scientists as a shield to protect themselves," Duke said.
"Duke has a point. That's just something those jerks would do. We're going to need another plan of action other than just rushing in," Tristan said.
"Hey, you!" A gruff female voice said. They turned to see a large female Team Aqua grunt standing behind them. "What do you think you're doing?"
"I don't know about you, Joey, but I think we should rush 'em since they found us out," Tristan said.
"I'm thinking the same thing. What's your idea?" Duke asked.
"Just this," Joey said, taking out a Pokeball and opened it. A Gyarados emerged from inside and it roared when it was let out, alerting the other Team Aqua grunts. "Okay, Gyarados! Use Aqua Tail!" Gyarados swings its tail and struck the large female Team Aqua grunt. Tristan and Duke took out a Pokeball and threw them. Tristan has let out an Electabuzz as Duke has let out a Ninjask.
"Sealeo! Use Ice Beam! Crawdaunt! Use Bubble Beam!" The squad leader ordered. The Sealeo and Crawdaunt fired their attacks at opposing Pokemon.
"Ninjask! Use Fury Cutter on one of those Crawdaunt!" Duke ordered.
"Electabuzz! Use Thunder Punch on the Sealeo!" Tristan ordered.
Ninjask uses Fury Cutter to slash at the Crawdaunt, dealing some heavy damage, due to their weakness to Bug-type moves. Electabuzz lands a Thunder Punch on one of the Sealeo, dealing just the amount of damage.
"Gyarados! Use Hyper Beam!" Joey ordered. Gyarados fired Hyper Beam, hitting the Sealeo and Crawaunt. They land right on the Team Aqua grunts. "Go!" Not needing to be told a second time, the scientists made a break for it.
"What's going on here?" A male Team Aqua grunt came walking in the area. "Hey, how did you three get in here!"
"Wouldn't you like to know?" Joey asked. The Team Aqua grunt took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Blastoise! Go!" The male Team Rocket grunt shouted. His Pokéball opened and his Blastoise emerged from inside.
"Electabuzz! Use Shock Wave!" Tristan ordered.
"Ninjask! Use Shadow Ball!" Duke ordered.
"Gyarados! Use Scald!" Joey ordered.
The three Pokémon launched their attacks at the Shellfish Pokémon.
"Use Protect!" The male Team Aqua grunt ordered. Blastoise withdrew in its shell and forms a protective barrier around the shell. The three attacks bounced right off of Blastoise. Blastoise came out of the shell, ready to attack. "Use Hydro Cannon!" Blastoise aims its cannons at the three Pokémon and unleashed a powerful burst of water, hitting the three Pokémon, knocking them out. "Is that the best you three nothings can do?" Joey took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Arcanine! Go!" Joey called out. His Pokéball opened and an Arcanine emerged from inside. Arcanine growled at the large turtle-like Pokémon as it glared right it. "My next best thing." Joey grinned.
"You're off your element, blondie! You should know that Fire-type Pokémon are weak against Water-types!" The male Team Aqua grunt said.
"Yeah, but there's more than one way to skin a cat! Arcanine! Use Wild Charge!" Joey ordered. Arcanine ran towards Blastoise with electricity emitting from its body. Arcanine ran extremely fast and lands a hit onto Blastoise, dealing some heavy damage, and taking some recoil damage. Blastoise is sent flying and lands right on the grunt. "The one thing I love about Fire-types, is that they can use Electric-type moves."
"That was a good plan teaching your Arcanine how to use Wild Charge, Joey," Duke said. Joey took out an orange Rotom Phone and uses it to text the others, telling them that the hostages are safe.
Over to Sora, Kairi, Lisia, Anabel, Pikachu, Angel, Xipak, and Celeste, Sora and Kairi retrieves Joey's message.
The hostages are safe and sound!
"Joey, Tristan, and Duke did their part," Kairi said.
"Yeah, but it's not over yet. We still have William to find," Sora said.
"William has to be somewhere up here," Sora said.
"Where could he be?" Kairi asked, growing concerned.
"We could just knock on one of these doors and let him know it's only us," Lisia suggested.
"It's worth a shot. We could do that," Sora said. Just then, a man stepped out. He has blue hair and green eyes. He wore a lab coat.
"Don't bother, because I can hear you. Get in here, quick!" The man said, ushering them inside.
"Are you William?" Lisia asked.
"Yes. Why do you ask?" William asked.
"We were asked to come here to help you because Team Aqua's here," Kairi said.
"And we were told that they were after you about some information about weather phenomenons that took places thousands of years ago," Anabel said.
"Any idea on why that's so important, William?" Sora asked.
"I don't I'm afraid. The leading researcher of this facility was my father until he retired four years ago. He never shared any secrets outside of here, not even with his family. And judging by Team Aqua being here, I can understand why he kept quiet about it. Just before I took over, he told me there are mounds of data in the weather institution that is classified and the only way is to get it is by using his password. The problem is, he's the only one in the world who knows it and he moved to Anville Town shortly after he retired just so he can be close to my sister's kids," William said.
"So, the good news is your dad is the only one who has access to the data they want, while the bad news is, they don't know it," Sora said.
"You could just tell them that you don't know what it is," Anabel said.
"I don't think they'll believe him. They'll just find ways to force him to tell," Sora said.
"He's right. Nothing I say will matter, because they don't intend to leave here until they get what they want," William said. He thought of something. "Unless we delete it."
"How? Your dad is the only one who has the password," Sora pointed out. "And we could end up running into a firewall."
"We'll have to try. I'm sure dad will forgive me when we do this," William said. "The top secret stuff is in the basement," William said. Sora groaned.
"The basement? You mean we have to go down there to get it?" Sora asked.
"It's our only chance. Dad's access card should be in there, but everything else will be up to us," William said.
"Then, we have no choice," Sora said. William joins Sora, Kairi, Lisia, Anabel, Pikachu, Angel, Xipak, and Celeste to gain access to William's father's access card, hoping that they wouldn't find it. Sora sends a message to Yugi and his friends, letting them know that they found William. Yugi smiled, knowing they would pull it off. The grunts kept looking for William while Shelly had spotted them. Seeing no point of alerting the other Grunts, she decided to take this solo and follow them. She folllowed them down into the basement and she grinned.
"The basement. That's where the most iimportant things are located," Shelly said. When they reached the vault, William cracked the combination on the vault and got his father's access card.
"Got it!" Wiliam said.
"Thank you for making it easy for us. Now, if you would be so kind and hand it over," Shelly said, alerting the group. She is holding out her hand. "I'm not asking."
"Come over here and take it yourself!" Kairi hissed.
"Gladly," Shelly said. "Crawdaunt! Bubble Beam!" Crawdaunt fires Bubble Beam and immoblizes them before they could act. Pikachu, Angel, Xipak, and Celeste made a run for it as Xipak grabs the access card and proceeded to run with Pikachu, Angel, and Celeste.
"Go, Pikachu and Xipak, go!" Sora shouted.
"Angel, Celeste! Run!" Kairi shouted.
"You have got to be kidding!" Shelly hissed as she makes contact with the other grunts. "Attention, all squads! The means of accessing the main computer is in the hands of four Pokémon! The Pokémon are two Pikachu and two Eevee and they're in possession of an access card! Capture them on sight!" Shelly then glared right at Sora and Kairi. "You two have been nothing but trouble since the day we met. And this time, it's going to cost you."
Sora wanted to use the Keyblade on her, but he couldn't risk on William being used as a bargaining chip against him, or maybe Lisia, Anabel, or even worse, Kairi. He had no choice but to roll over for her.
"Commander Shelly, I just got word that the other hostages have escaped," a male grunt said, approaching her.
"Luck smiles on us because we just got four hostages right here," Shelly said.
Pikachu, Angel, Xipak, and Celeste ran through the halls of the weather institution.
"That was a great grab, Xipak. Now those pirates will be chasing us around." - Pikachu subtitle.
"Not unless we split up. They probably don't know who's holding it." - Xipak subtitle.
"You know, he's right. We can confuse them and make them chase us around." - Celeste subtitle.
"It's worth a shot. Yugi and his friends should mount a rescue." - Angel subtitle.
"Okay, you guys. Let's split up." - Pikachu subtitle.
"Just be careful." - Angel subtitle. She nuzzles him affectionately. Pikachu nuzzles her back.
"You too, Angel." - Pikachu subtitle.
With that said, Pikachu, Angel, Xipak, and Celeste has gone different directions. Xipak is still carrying the access card as he ran.
Meanwhile, Joey, Tristan, and Duke spotted Pikachu running their way. The Mouse Pokémon sees the three boys in front of him.
"Hey, isn't that Sora's Pikachu?" Joey asked.
"Or is it that other Pikachu?" Tristan asked.
"No, it's Sora's Pikachu. I can tell because that other Pikachu has points at the tip of his eyes. Where's Sora?" Duke asked. Pikachu stretches his body, making him look like a Crawdaunt. Duke knew he was trying to tell them something.
"Is Pikachu playing charades?" Joey asked. Pikachu smacked his forehead. He tries again, but Duke understood what he was trying to tell him.
"Sora, Kairi, Anabel, and Lisia were captured?" Duke asked. Pikachu nodded.
"Ah, Sora's been caught?" Tristan asked.
"Chu!" Pikachu said.
"We better go help him," Joey said.
"Joey's right. Let's go," Tristan said.
Meanwhile, Angel is running down the hall when a squad of Team Aqua grunts spotted her.
"Hey, it's one of those Eevee!" One of the female grunts said.
"Crawdaunt! Get it!" Another female grunt ordered. The Crawdaunt ran to grab her, but she fired Swift at the Crawdaunt and then she ran off.
"It's getting away!" One of the male grunts said.
"After it!" The second female grunt shouted. The Rogue Pokémon started to chase after the female Eevee as fast as her feet could carry her.
Over to Celeste, she came across some Walrein. Knowing who they're with, she started to run, so the Walrein started to pursue her. She spotted Angel running up to her.
"Celeste!" - Angel subtitle.
"Angel!" - Celeste subtitle. They ran into a nearby room, so the Crawdaunt and Walrein ran into each other. They were piled up. Both Eevee came out and they laughed at their predicament. They gave the Water-types a raspberry, aggravating the Team Aqua Pokémon.
Over to Xipak, he was still carrying the access card when he stopped in front of a chubby male Team Aqua grunt.
"There you are, you little yellow bandit. Be a good little Pikachu and hand me the pretty card, and I'll give you a treat," the chubby grunt said. Xipak wasn't dumb enough to fall for it. He attempts to tackle into him, but Xipak climbed over him like a hill, so he gets back up on his feet. "Come back here, you red-cheeked rodent!" He chases after Xipak pretty fast despite his weight. Xipak wondered how someone so fat could run so fast. "Come here! I said come here! Slow down!" The chubby grunt attempts to grab him, but Xipak just jumps out of the way and he slides and hits the wall, making the whole hall shake. Yugi, Téa, Mai, Bakura, and Serenity found him.
"Xipak? What are you doing here?" Yugi asked.
"Look. Xipak is holding something," Serenity said. Yugi took it from Xipak.
"Whatever it is, it seems important," Yugi said.
"Yug?" Joey asked. Yugi, Téa, Mai, Bakura, and Serenity saw Joey, Tristan, and Duke with Pikachu.
"Sora's Pikachu. Where's Sora?" Téa asked.
"Team Aqua captured them," Tristan said.
"Oh no!" Serenity gasped.
"That explains it. So where are Angel and Celeste?" Bakura asked.
"They can't be too far," Mai said.
"Mai's right. But we can only hope that they weren't caught by Team Aqua," Yugi said.
"Pika," Pikachu said, worried over Angel.
"Pika," Xipak, also worried about Celeste.
They went off to look for the two Eevee.
Speaking of which, Angel and Celeste were running when they were suddenly struck by a Tentacruel's Poison Sting.
"Got em!" One of the male grunts exclaimed. The other grunts went over to the weakened Eevee and searched for the access card. "Well?"
"None of the Eevee has the access card," another male grunt said.
"Then one of the Pikachu has it," the first male grunt said.
"Angel! Celeste!" Téa gasped. The grunts saw the group with the Eevee.
"Let them go, pirate-boys!" Mai demanded.
"We can do that. Just give us the access card in exchange," the first grunt said.
"Not gonna happen, you deck-swabbing goon," Joey said.
"Okay, if you won't hand it over, then we're going to have an experiment of our own. We'll find out if Eevee can be strong swimmers even when poisoned," the first male grunt said. Everyone all gasped.
"You wouldn't dare!" Duke hissed.
"Maybe I will, maybe I won't, but that's entirely up to you. You have until the count of three," the first male grunt said. Yugi knew Angel is Kairi's Pokémon and she'll never forgive him if he allows Team Aqua to drown her and Celeste, so he had no choice. "One. Two. Thr-"
"You have a deal," Yugi said, taking out the access card. He hands it over to the grunts.
"Thought so," the first male grunt said. "E Squad to Commander Shelly. Access card required. And we have ourselves some additional hostages to boot."
The Team Aqua grunts brought the access card to Shelly and handed it over to her.
Shelly and the hostages made it to the main computer where they hoped to gain access to the data on Groudon and Kyogre. They used William's father's access card to enter.
"Sora, Kairi, I'm sorry that I handed them the card after your partners took it. It's just they threatened Angel and Celeste," Yugi said.
"It's okay, Yugi. You did the right thing. I would have done the same thing," Kairi said.
"Hey! No talking!" One of the male grunts yelled.
"Man, this is not good," Sora said.
"No, it's not," Kairi agreed.
"Be quiet!" The male grunt yelled again.
"Now that we have the card we need, it's up to you to gain us access to the data we need," Shelly said.
"I have no intention of helping you," William stated.
"I don't think you have a choice. Cooperate with us willingly or else we'll use your research facility to see if lightning can strike at the same place twice," Shelly threatened. She looked right at the group. "We can start with the that short one!" She points to Yugi.
"No, Yugi!" Téa pleaded.
"You wouldn't!" William gasped.
"We would," Shelly said. "Matt, pick him up!" Matt chuckled as he picked up Yugi and held him up in the air. "Tie him up on a lightning pole."
"Put him down, ya big steroid-inducing freak!" Joey yelled, earning a punch in the face by the male grunt.
"Shut up!" The male grunt said.
"Well? What's it going to be?" Shelly asked. William knew she wasn't joking, so he had no choice but to cave in.
"I'll do whatever you want. Just don't hurt them," William said.
"That depends on you. Now move," Shelly told him. William willingly led her to the main computer. She turned to some the others. "Bring them along with us, we might need them."
"On your feet! All of you!" One of the female grunts said.
"Now, do your magic," Shelly told him. William started by activating the computer. The screen reads "welcome" and it opens to the username and password.
"Here we are," William said, typing in his father's username.
"Now the password," Shelly told him.
"I don't know what it is," William said, but Shelly wasn't buying it.
"I'm not playing around!" Shelly threatened. "The password! Now!" William tried to figure out what his password is.
"Man, why did dad have to be so secretive? All that secret keeping is just going to end up getting those kids killed. Seriously dad, why keep those kinds of secrets from your own family?" William asked in his mind when he realized something. He realized what his father's password is without knowing it. He typed in the word family and he was granted access. He spoke out, "Here's what you want!" Shelly pushes him out of the way and she got to the file marked under GROUKY. She clicked on the folder and the data popped up. It was indeed Groudon and Kyogre. Shelly's face lit up.
"Kyogre," Shelly said in a whisper.
The group were amazed by the image they were seeing. It was the two legendary Pokémon Groudon and Kyogre they were seeing and they were fighting each other. Shelly clicked further and sees Kyogre is is more than twice its usual size and has a deeper blue body, as well as having a partially translucent body with a golden light glowing from within it, essentially emitting bioluminescence. It has light blue stripes on its body, instead of the usual red. The four tips on both of its large fins remain pure white. The usually opaque middle parts of its large fins become transparent, with red marks on the closer two tips of both its fins that resembles the letter H. The two outer red marks on each of its fins, along with the large circular marks in the center of the fins, turn blue and fuse together to become Alpha symbols. Its four white oval spots, and the part of the top center of its head have a circular marking, where the lines are linked to upper end of the larger oval spots, now also transparent, and they stop at the end of its tattered tail, where the middle of the four trailing parts have the same color as the glow on the majority of its body. Unknown to them, a man wearing a lab coat and a pair of sunglasses snuck in.
"Whoa," Sora could only say, seeing Kyogre's appearence different from the first image, the same as Groudon.
"Primal Kyogre, with your power, we can wash away the land and make an eternal ocean," Shelly said.
"Eternal ocean?!" Sora exclaimed.
Shelly smiled as she read the file and then her smile faded when she saw what she did expect to read. She saw that the world that Team Aqua planned to create isn't the same as the one Primal Kyogre will make.
"No, this isn't it," Shelly said in her thoughts. She was horrified by what she was seeing. "This isn't the world we're out to create." The toher grunts were confused by her expression.
"Shelly. Can we download it?" One of the grunts asked.
"Right. I was just lost in thought," Shelly said. They downloaded the data.
"Now to dispose of them," one the grunts said, and they chuckled evilly. The man in the shades took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Arcanine! Go!" The man shouted. The Pokéball opened and an Arcanine came out. Flamethrower!" Arcanine fired Flamethrower right at the grunts.
"Who are you?!" Matt exclaimed. The man in the shades took off the lab coat and sunglasses to reveal himself to be Looker.
"International police! You are all under arrest!" Looker shouted.
"Not if we have anything to say about! Walrein! Ice Beam!" Matt said. The Walrein fired Ice Beam right at Looker.
Looker has let out a Scizor and it cuts their restraints, freeing them.
"You guys are big trouble now!" Joey said, giving Matt a punch in the face. This angered the large Team Aqua member.
"Big mistake, blondie," Matt growled Shelly grabbed him by the shoulder.
"Let it go, Matt. We have what we need. Our mission is complete," Shelly said. "Everyone take off!" All of the grunts followed orders and took off in their helicopter. Team Aqua had taken off. Sora and Kairi knew the information they now had was going to be dangerous. In the helicopter ride, Shelly's mind was still filled with the information she saw. "Archie, don't you know that the world Primal Kyogre will create and the world we will create are two different things? Or is this what you had in mind from the beginning? I don't what to think anymore."
The sun sets as Sora, Kairi, Lisia, Anabel, Yugi, Téa, Joey, Tristan, Mai, Bakura, Duke, Serenity, Pikachu, Angel, Xipak, and Celeste were taking their leave. Looker had already left to pursue Team Aqua and Team Magma.
"Sorry that you were caught in all this mess," William apologized.
"Don't worry about it, William. It's not your fault," Kairi said.
"Stuff like that tends to happen. Just know Team Aqua will be in trouble when we see them again. Same goes for Team Magma," Sora said.
"Yeah, but didn't Shelly looked freaked by something?" Téa asked.
"I noticed it," Anabel said. "I could tell that she didn't like what she saw."
"Well, I do appreciate your efforts. And Sora, good luck in your Gym battle," William said.
They said their goodbyes to William and his staff. With the information on Groudon and Kyogre in the hands of Team Aqua, they knew how dangrous it was going to get from there.
Now that they are close to Fortree City, the upcoming Gym battle was getting closer and closer. Can Sora hope to win it or lose before he knew what was coming? Just wait and see.
