A.N. — We're onto August, and one of my favorite Class 1-A students has their birthday today. While she's a great supporting player, I feel there's a serious lack of fics starring/centered around UA's resident punk rocker girl. Happy birthday, Kyoka Jiro! Like Mina, there's many discarded drabbles with your name on them.

213. Kyoka Jiro/Earphone Jack

Heroes were the new celebrities. Musicians still got idol worship, however. Was it selfish for Kyoka to embrace bridging that divide?

She'd been a reluctant frontwoman during UA's festival, yet Kyoka found her support abilities repeatedly thrust to the fore. Kyoka combined search and rescue proficiency with effective offensive and defensive moves. It was a far cry from the girl who'd barely scraped through Aizawa's quirk apprehension test.

Kyoka's heroic heartbeat thrummed strong, though, and her cool self-assurance often was relied upon. War was no time for glamor and fame, but Earphone Jack's star was still on the rise.
