The Guardians were running through a barren wasteland, heading straight towards the Crytal Palace up ahead where Chibiusa's mother was being held captive, unafraid of whatever danger awaited them. Then suddenly, the Crystal Palace exploded in a violent and fiery pillar of fire and destruction. The earth trembled and shook as a powerful shockwave shot straight towards the guardians ripping apart the ground as it went. Before the Guardians had any chance to react, the shockwave barreled right into them, sending them all flying and screaming in agony, much to a pink odango's horror.
"No! Everyone!" Chibiusa cried.
But the Guardians all floated before the little girl, their armor and clothes tattered and their bodies seemingly lifeless. Chibiusa felt helpless as she stood there, unable to look away from this horrible sight.
"No! No! NOOOOO!"
Chibiusa woke up with a start, shooting up from her bed, her skin clammy and sweaty as she panted as if she had run a marathon. While she sat there processing what she had dreamt, Chibiusa couldn't help but clutch the Time Key around her neck as her heart pounded like a drum from fear.
Earlier that morning, Chibiusa was over by the fountain in Juuban Park with Luna P staring into the water deep in thought. Today was the day that she, along with Sailor Moon and the others, were going to the future to help rescue her mother, but ever since that nightmare, Chibiusa couldn't help but have second thoughts feeling worried.
"Until I had that dream, all I could think about was returning to the future to rescue Mommy with the help of the Guardians," Chibiusa thought. "But now I'm not so sure. What if the Black Moon Clan is too strong for Sailor Moon and the others? What if Sailor Moon and the others get defeated or worse?"
"Mommy? Tell me, what should I do?" Chibiusa wondered aloud to herself. "I'm scared."
"So this is where you've been, Chibiusa," asked a voice. "What are you doing here? Is everything okay?"
Chibiusa felt her heart skip a beat, feeling startled as she turned around to see Harusuke standing there.
"Harusuke, it's you," Chibiusa said. "I was just... thinking about stuff, is all."
"Well, in any case, we better get going now," Harusuke said. "Everyone's waiting for you over at the pier. We are heading to the future, after all."
"Yes, but... I - "
Chibiusa wanted to tell Harusuke what was worrying her, but her words died in her throat, and she couldn't speak. Nevertheless, Harusuke could see that Chibiusa was worried, prompting him to walk up to her and kneel so that he was at eye level with her.
"Chibiusa, you're going to save your mommy, no matter what," Harusuke spoke quietly. "After all, it's all you've been talking about, so getting cold feet ain't going to do anything. The only thing you can do is have faith in yourself and charge forward until the end. Believe in your strength as well as your friends, and have faith that everything is going to be okay." He then placed a comforting hand on Chibiusa's shoulder. "So let's go to the future. Together. Every one of us will be right there with you and make sure that you're safe from harm, especially me."
A small tiny smile tugged and Chibiusa's lips as she looked at Harusuke, now feeling a lot less worried. "Thank you, Harusuke. I needed to hear that."
Harusuke smiled back as she scooped Chibiusa in his arms. "What do you say we get going? We're burning daylight."
Sailor Moon, the other guardians, and Tuxedo Mask were by the fountain, d *- waiting for Chibiusa and Harusuke to arrive. They couldn't help but feel a bit worried as they waited.
"I wonder what's keeping Chibiusa?" wondered Sailor Jupiter.
"Didn't she leave home with you, Sailor Moon?" asked Sailor Mars.
"Yes, but she told me to go on ahead because she had something she needed to do," replied Sailor Moon.
"I sure hope nothing happened to her," said Sailor Mercury.
"Maybe we should go look for her," suggested Sailor Venus. "You know, just to be safe?"
"I wouldn't be worried," said Tuxedo Mask. "Harusuke hasn't shown up yet either, so it's most likely that he's with Chibiusa. We should give it a few more minutes."
Then, while carrying Chibiusa, Solaris came floating down from the sky until he touched down gently on the ground.
"Hey there, you guys," Solaris greeted as he set Chibiusa down. "I apologize if I'm a bit late, but I got Chibiusa right here."
Sailor Moon and the guardians were relieved.
"There you are, Chibiusa," Sailor Moon smiled. "What took you so long?"
"You know how it is when you're going away," Chibiusa smiled back. "I had some things to do."
"All right then, now that everyone's here, let's get going," said Artemis. "Is everyone ready?"
Everyone answered with a nod.
"All right, Chibiusa. It's up to you now," said Luna. "We're all counting on you."
Chibiusa then stepped towards the end of the pier and took out her Time Key, holding it up to the air. "Oh, Guardian of time!" she commanded. "Tear apart the heavens and open wide for me the Door of Space and Time! I summon thee by your true name! Omnipotent God of Time, Chronos! Guide us on our journey and protect us, travelers, and grant us the path of light!"
The wind began to howl and blow, the lake's water started to freeze, and the sky grew murky with clouds as strange energy began to fill the air. Then, a shining beacon of pink light broke through the clouds and shone right on Chibiusa and her party. Then in a brilliant flash of light, Chibiusa's group disappeared into the beacon as the light faded away into the clouds.
Sailor Moon found herself in a strange void of sorts when she regained her senses. The ground at her feet was white and fluffy like she was walking on a cloud, and an ominous blue fog blanketed the area, making it difficult to see.
"Is this the future?" Sailor Moon wondered as she looked around. "And where did everyone go?"
Then, no sooner than when Sailor Moon took a few steps forwards, something appeared before her. At first glance, it seemed to be a wall of sorts, but as Sailor Moon ventured closer, she could see that it was a set of large doors, colored royal white and made of stone.
Then suddenly, Sailor Moon heard a voice.
"Stop right there! Those who break the taboo and approach the Door of Space and Time will be eliminated!"
Sailor Moon jumped upon hearing the voice, as a mysterious figure suddenly appeared before her. The stranger was feminine and wielded a staff almost as long as her body. Before Sailor Moon could react, the figure suddenly attacked elegantly, spinning her rod before swinging it straight at her causing Sailor Moon to jump back to dodge. However, Sailor Moon was so startled that she couldn't help but fall flat on her bottom as the figure glared dangerously at her.
"Wait a minute! Let me explain myself!" Sailor Moon cried. "I mean, don't I have a right to explain why I'm here?!"
"It doesn't matter why you're here," the figure spoke coldly. "No matter who you are, the law requires all those who trespassers to be eliminated! No exceptions! Prepare to die!"
The mysterious figure raised her staff, preparing to strike at Sailor Moon again, but then a familiar voice cried out.
"Puu! No! Don't kill her!"
At that moment, Chibiusa came running out from the fog, coming in between the mysterious figure and Sailor Moon. The moment the stranger saw Chibiusa, she was surprised to see her. At the same time, the fog lifted, revealing her true identity. She was a familiar young woman with long dark green hair flowing with a bun on top and wore a sailor uniform like the other Guardians, but hers was black and maroon. Everything seemed to happen at once when they saw one another.
"S-Sailor Pluto!" gasped Sailor Moon.
"Small Lady? Sailor Moon?" Sailor Pluto puzzled.
At the same time, Solaris and the other guardians came rushing over to them, hearing the commotion, which made Sailor Pluto even more surprised to see them.
"Small Lady. Is this your doing?" Sailor Pluto asked quietly.
"Yes, and I'm sorry!" apologized Chibiusa. "I know that I broke my promise by bringing all these people here with me, but they're my friends, and they're here to help me rescue Mommy!"
Sailor Pluto stared at Chibiusa. The pink odango was worried, thinking that Sailor Pluto would be cross with her. However, Sailor Pluto put down her staff and embraced Chibiusa in a tight hug, much to her surprise.
"Does... this mean you're not angry with me?" asked Chibiusa.
"Just the opposite," Sailor Pluto spoke with a smile. "You've finally mastered the Space-Time key like I thought you did, and I couldn't be more proud of you. You've become a fine young lady, princess."
Sailor Moon was surprised as well as everyone else. "Wait a minute! Chibiusa's a princess?!" everyone gasped.
Sailor Pluto then returned her attention to Sailor Moon and her group. "Please forgive my behavior, Sailor Moon," she apologized humbly. "You and your friends were kind enough to accompany the princess, and I went and threatened you. Please accept my apology."
"Oh, yeah. I guess I should have mentioned that I was a princess," Chibiusa said. Then a mischievous grin appeared on her features. "But now that you know guess you all have to bow and start calling me "Your Highness." Especially you, Sailor Moon."
Now Sailor Moon was cross. "Princess?! Your Highness?! As if!" she snapped. "You're nothing but a snobby little brat! What kind of parent would have a little monster like you for a princess, anyway?! And how do we know that you're faking being a princess?!"
"What's your problem?! I've always been royal!" Chibiusa snapped back. "Besides, how do you think I felt I found out your true identity?! I still can't believe despite being Guardian who saved the world; you're still a crybaby!"
Sailor Moon then began to chase Chibiusa, raring to reap her a new one, while Chibiusa taunted and teased her, and everyone else sheepishly looked away.
Sailor Pluto sighed as she smiled. Oh, dear. My life never seems to be easy when I'm dealing with two of them," she chuckled.
"Don't worry about it," Solaris smiled. "I mean, we're always bailing these two out of trouble all the time, and it's pretty much our day job."
Sailor Pluto then faced the doors while picking up her staff, and with a few taps and a twirl, while raising her rod above her head, the orb at the end began to glow, shining its light right into the keyhole of the doors. The door let out a loud click, and with a shudder and creak, the doors slowly swung open, revealing a doorway filled with light.
"The door of Space and Time is now open," said Sailor Pluto. "You may set forth on your journey to the future. Now hold on to each other's hands."
Sailor Moon and the others did just that, each one grasping a hand firmly.
"Sailor Moon, you must never let go of Small Lady's hand," Sailor Pluto said. "If you or any of your friends separate at any point, you will become trapped between the gaps of time forever."
"Thank you very much, Sailor Pluto," Sailor Moon spoke gratefully. "We'll be careful."
"Are you coming with us, Sailor Pluto?" asked Solaris. "With what we're up against, we could use all the help we can get with the Black Moon Clan."
A sad look crossed the Guardian of Time's face as she shook her head. "I'm afraid I can't go with you," she said. "I cannot abandon my post, but please make sure to protect Small Lady for me."
"We'll do our best," said Artemis.
"Take care, Puu!" Chibiusa called out cheerfully. "We'll see you soon!"
And with that, Sailor Moon and her band of friends jumped into the doorway, floating up as the doorway and Sailor Pluto slowly began to shrink in the distance behind them.
As they did, Solaris couldn't help but look back. "I wonder why Mom never said anything about Sailor Pluto before," he questioned out loud. "Now that I think about it, this is the first time I've ever met Sailor Pluto."
"Me too," agreed Sailor Moon. "Luna, do you know anything about her?"
"Only a little bit," the black cat replied. "The only thing I can tell you is that before Queen Serenity died, she assigned Sailor Pluto as a solitary guardian to guard the doorway of Space and Time for all eternity, and no one has ever known about her existence, except for her."
"A solitary guardian that no one knows about?" repeated Sailor Mars and Sailor Jupiter.
"No wonder there's a sad look in her eyes," Sailor Moon spoke with a hint of pity. "She must be pretty lonely all by herself."
Solaris looked back at the doors as they shut with a mighty clang before disappearing into the light. The Guardian of the Sun couldn't help but feel sorry for Pluto too and wanted to find a way to help her, but he didn't know how to.
"Be careful, everyone!" warned Chibiusa suddenly. "We're coming to the Space-Time corridor!"
Sure enough, as they descended, the corridor came into view. The floor looked like its tiles were made of glass and had several strange pillars lined the sides. Then, as soon as Sailor Moon and her group landed, a powerful gust swirled straight into them, catching them by surprise.
"What is this pressure?!" Sailor Mars called out.
"I don't know," Sailor Mercury also called out. "But, this pressure is intense!"
"Let's try to move forward!" Tuxedo Mask said while holding his hat. "There's no turning back now!"
The group then began their trek while holding each other's hands tightly, ensuring that no one would let go or stray too far.
In the Black Moon Clan's headquarters, Prince Demande, Saphir, Esmeraude, and the Wiseman were observing a giant crystal in the middle of the throne room, which was now emitting a strange alarm as tiny white speckles of light appeared on it.
"I see movement in the Space-Time corridor," Saphir said with a frown. "And it appears that whoever it is, is traveling by a time-warp to Crystal Tokyo."
"It's the Rabbit," Esmeraude spoke with a grin. "Who else could it be?"
"No, there's more than one," insisted Saphir. "This energy reading suggests that there are several people."
"How unusual," Prince Demande spoke with an interested grin. "It's not every day that this planet gets any visitors."
The Wiseman waved his hands around his crystal ball for a brief moment as an image began to form inside of it. That image showed Sailor Moon and her band of friends struggling through the Space-Time corridor as they pressed onward. When Prince Demande saw Sailor Moon, he couldn't help but stare at the girl with fascination and wonder, feeling smitten.
"So that's Sailor Moon," Prince Demande thought. "What lovely and beautiful eyes she has..."
"The time has come!" the Wiseman proclaimed. "We must now seize the Legendary Silver Crystal and the Rabbit and then topple that impenetrable castle!"
Esmeraude was surprised. "Seize the Rabbit?" she repeated. "But why do we need her?"
"Bringing the Malefic Black Crystal and the Rabbit together will result in extraordinary power," the Wiseman explained. "Therefore, we must seize her as soon as possible!"
And with that, the Wiseman disappeared. Saphir then took notice of Prince Demande, who now had a dreamy look in his eyes.
"Brother, is something wrong?" Saphir asked.
But Prince Demande ignored Saphir's question as he spoke to the young woman in green. "Esmeraude, I need you to capture the Rabbit for me. Bring her and Sailor Moon here alive."
Esmeraude was even more surprised was Saphir.
"You want Sailor Moon alive, too?!" Esmeraude asked incredulously.
"Yes, I want to gaze into those beautiful eyes once more," Prince Demande spoke with a smile. "Do not fail me."
"But Brother, why would you-" Saphir began to protest.
But before he could finish his sentence, Prince Demande disappeared with a wave of his cape. Saphir was now cross, but not with Prince Demande.
"Curse Wiseman, that feeble old prophet!" Saphir scowled. "Here he is, showing up from out of nowhere and turned my brother into a weakling by doing his bidding! All he's been doing is toying with his mind, made demands, and hasn't shown his true intentions with his predictions!"
"Come to think of it, he was the one who put those strange ideas about the Legendary Silver Crystal into Prince Demande's head," agreed Esmeradue. "Not to mention when it came to Rubeus, he told us that he was unable to help him despite his powers, but for some reason, I felt as though he didn't tell us the full story."
Saphir clenched his hands into fists. "One day, I'll expose that fraud!"
Esmeraude then smirked with malice. "I think that there's something more important to be dealt with, like disposing of that vile temptress, Sailor Moon."
Sailor Moon and her band were still trudging through the Space-Time corridor, desperately trying to bear through the intense pressure while holding each other's hands tightly. But it seemed that with every step they took, it grew stronger.
"Man! It feels like this pressure is going to crush us!" Sailor Jupiter complained.
"At this rate, we're going to get blown off!" Sailor Moon cried out. "I'm not sure if I can make it!"
"You will, Sailor Moon!" Tuxedo Mask called. "Keep going!"
"We can do this, Sis!" Solaris yelled. "Just keep pushing forward!"
Then came trouble. For at the moment, the sound of a certain someone's laughter echoed throughout the corridor, and a familiar Dark Kingdom General appeared from above them, fan waving and her green hair billowing in the wind.
"Esmeraude!" Sailor Moon growled with a glare.
"How nice of you to step into our domain," Esmeraude cackled. "Allow me to welcome you properly!"
Esmeraude then fired a powerful blast of energy, threatening to destroy the Guardians with a mighty wave of her fan. And because of the wind pressure and the fact that the Guardians couldn't react in time, Esmeraude's attack blew them all off the corridor and into a gap of time above, vanishing from sight.
Esmeraude realizing what she had done, couldn't help but feel embarrassed and annoyed. "How troublesome. I lost them in the space-time labyrinth," she huffed. "How annoying. Luax! Come here, please!"
At her call, a droid appeared. She had the appearance of a young woman with pale white skin with puffy sky blue hair and wore a white dress with black trims and designs with pumps matching in color and gold bracelets on her ankles and her wrists. She also had a gold headdress on top of her head with an aqua-colored gem in the middle.
"You summoned me, Lady Esmeraude?" asked Luax.
"Your power lets you move easily through the space-time labyrinth," Esmeraude said. "Find the intruders and then eliminate them. However, don't kill the Rabbit. We need her alive."
"Understood," Luax acknowledged. "Consider it done."
Luax and disappeared into a gap of time.
Esmeraude then snickered snidely. "Oh, dear. It seems as though I forgot to mention not killing Sailor Moon," she spoke, feigning surprise. "Or perhaps Luax left before hearing all of my instructions. Oh well. That's too bad."
Meanwhile, Sailor Moon and Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, and Venus found themselves in a strange dark void. It was so dark that it was almost impossible to see.
"Is everyone okay?" asked Sailor Mars.
Sailor Moon then looked around, realizing something troubling. "Chibiusa and Tuxedo Mask aren't here," she cried. "And neither is Solaris, Luna, and Artemis!"
"Where are we?" wondered Sailor Venus.
"We're probably in a hole located between the flow of space-time," said Sailor Mercury. "And I'm pretty sure that's happened to everyone else."
"Then, if that's the case, how are we going to reunite with the others?" asked Sailor Jupiter worriedly.
"And if we're lost time, we could be wondering for all eternity!" gasped Sailor Venus. "And we wouldn't even know about it!"
"This is all my fault!" Sailor Moon said bitterly. "If I hadn't let go of Chibiusa's hand..."
"It's not your fault, Sailor Moon," reassured Sailor Mars. "Besides, blaming yourself isn't going to accomplish anything. What we need to focus on right now is finding Chibiusa and the others."
"But how do we do that?" wondered Sailor Moon.
Then suddenly, the brooch in the center of Sailor Moon's bow opened, and the Silver Crystal inside it began to glow in bright pink light, chiming and pulsing.
"What's going on?!" Sailor Moon gasped. "The Silver Crystal's glowing!"
Then Sailor Jupiter noticed something. High above from where they were, a pulsing pink light was in the distance. "Look! Up there!" she cried, pointing.
Everyone else looked up and saw the glow as well.
"How strange," murmured Sailor Venus. "What is that?"
"It's as if something is resonating with the Silver Crystal," said Sailor Mars. "Like some kind of signal."
"Maybe the Silver Crystal from the future is resonating with Sailor Moon's crystal of the present," hypothesized Sailor Mercury.
Sailor Moon looked at her crystal and then back at the light. "Let's go check it out," she said. "It's better than staying here doing nothing."
And with Sailor Moon leading the way, the Guardians headed towards the beacon of light, hoping that it would lead to wherever they needed to go.
In another strange void, Tuxedo Mask, Luna, Artemis, and Solaris were trapped inside it, feeling confused as well as turned around.
"Where are we?" wondered Tuxedo Mask.
"I don't know," Solaris said. "But if I were a betting man, I think we're in some kind of hole between space-time."
"Wherever we are, this place is kind of creepy," shivered Luna.
"Never mind that," Artemis spoke. "We've got an even bigger problem. We ended up getting separated from the others."
"So what do we do now?" asked Luna worriedly. "What's going to happen to us?"
"Take it easy, Luna," Solaris soothed. "We'll find the others somehow, but first, we have to find a way out."
"Then let's get going," Tuxedo Mask said. "It's better than standing around doing nothing."
Solaris and Tuxedo Mask had just taken a few steps forward when they heard a voice.
"Wait! Don't go that way!"
Solaris and Tuxedo Mask then stopped, tensing up while being on guard.
"That voice!" Solaris thought as he looked around. "It's the same one that told me about my Unison Fusion ability!"
"Who said that?" Tuxedo Mask demanded.
"Listen to me closely," the voice continued. "Turn around and go the way you're all facing. Quickly."
"What do you think we should do?" asked Artemis. "Should we?"
"I don't know," Luna spoke doubtfully. "It could be a trap."
"Let's do as he says for now," Solaris said. "I can't exactly explain it, but whoever that voice belongs to is on our side. We can trust him."
Tuxedo Mask looked at Solaris and answered with a nod. Then while Solaris led on, the group walked on, following the voice's directions.
In a space that had blood-red fog with strange dead and white trees everywhere, Chibiusa found herself all alone with Luna P feeling alone as well as frightened.
"Where is everyone?" Chibiusa wondered. "Nobody's here. I'm all by myself again."
Then Chibiusa saw something in the distance amongst the red fog of the space. The pink odango ventured deeper wanting to know what this object was. When she was close enough, she gasped. She saw another set of white doors similar to the ones she saw Sailor Pluto guarding.
"The door to the future," Chibiusa murmured. "Beyond those doors is the future. I've come home."
Chibiusa wanted more than anything to charge straight through those doors, but she knew that she couldn't, at least not without her friends. So all she could do was just stand there, feeling sad, alone, and scared.
"Aw. Poor baby," said a kind, feminine voice. "My poor, little, darling..."
Chibiusa looked up, wondering where the voice came from, and she saw a sight that nearly took her breath away. In front of her eyes was a young woman with blonde hair in the odango style, a long flowing white dress with wings, and a golden crown on her head.
Upon seeing her, Chibiusa's fear vanished in an instant, and her eyes began to fill with joyful tears. She knew who this woman was.
"M-Mommy?"
The woman before her smiled sweetly and spread out her arms. "It's all right now," she said warmly. "Let's go home together."
Chibiusa ran straight towards her mother, delighted to see her smiling face, wanting to hug her, but then realized something was causing her to stop dead in her tracks. Her joyful smile had quickly turned to a frown while she felt an ominous sinking feeling in her stomach.
"Wait a minute. You're not my mommy," Chibiusa said, taking a step back. "Who are you?!"
"Don't you recognize me?" asked the woman. "I'm your Mommy, Rabbit."
As soon as she heard the word Rabbit escape her lips, Chibiusa grew even more suspicious, scowling in anger.
"No, you're not!" Chibiusa snapped. "You're just pretending! My mommy would never call me, Rabbit!"
At that moment, the woman smirked evilly, and her visage melted away, revealing herself to be Luax, the droid that Esmeraude sent.
"Well, well. Guess no one can fool you, Rabbit," Luax smirked as she brandished her nails. "However, this would have been easier for you if you had believed me. Now be a good girl and come with me."
Chibiusa was frozen with fear, unsure of what to do, as Luax stalked her prey, ready to inflict some pain with her claws. She couldn't fight, she had no way of defending herself, and Sailor Moon and the others were nowhere around to help her. She was all alone and completely helpless.
"Mommy, I'm so sorry!" Chibiusa bitterly thought to herself. "I can't save you, after all! It's all over for me!"
But then, Chibiusa suddenly remembered Harusuke's words before they left for the future.
Chibiusa, you're going to save your mommy, no matter what. After all, it's all you've been talking about, so getting cold feet ain't going to do anything. The only thing you can do is have faith in yourself and charge forward until the end.
That memory alone made Chibiusa pluck up courage as she bravely stood her ground against Luax while the droid prepared to strike. Then she took hold of Luna P and threw it straight at Luax smacking her right in the face, causing her to let out a yelp in pain as she held it in her hands. Then, seizing her opportunity, Chibiusa activated Luna P's transforming ability.
"LUNA P TRANSFORM!"
In a puff of smoke, Luna transformed into a slingshot, and using her energy for the ammunition, Chibiusa fired a couple of rounds, each scoring a direct hit on Luax. Unfortunately, they did not affect her. If anything, it made Luax a bit irritated.
"That's not very nice, trying to hurt me with a slingshot of energy balls," Luax mocked, pretending to be a scolding mother. "Naughty children who play pranks like that need to be severely punished, so prepare yourself!"
Luax's hair exploded out, extending to unnatural lengths like they were tentacles, shooting straight towards Chibiusa. But at the last minute, a red rose shot out, forcing her to jump away from Chibiusa. At the same time, a ball of light came down from above, and Luax held out her hands and blocked in the incoming attack, canceling it out with a concussive blast. Then, much to Chibiusa's delight, Tuxedo Mask and Solaris landed just in front of her, ready to protect her from harm.
"Why don't you pick on someone your own size?" Solaris spoke.
"If you wish to harm this girl, you'll have to get through us, first," Tuxedo Mask added.
"Solaris! Tuxedo Mask!" Chibiusa gasped with delight. "You found me!"
"And don't forget about us," said another familiar voice. "We're warning you! Don't you dare lay a finger on that child!"
Luax looked back and saw that Sailor Moon and the rest of the Guardians had also arrived, but she was calm as a cat.
"I'm impressed that you made it here," Luax said. "How did you all get through that labyrinth?"
"Not that it's any of your business Lady, but we had a powerful guide called luck!" Sailor Moon said. "I am the Pretty Guardian who fights for love and justice, Sailor Moon! And in the name of the Moon, I'll punish you!"
"Fine then, I'll just have to take care of the Rabbit later," Luax scowled. "Let's see how you handle this!"
And with a wave of her hands, Luax released an intense wave of energy from them that spread throughout the entire space.
"What did she just do?!" wondered Sailor Jupiter.
"I radically changed the polarity of time!" Luax proclaimed. "Thanks to that, none of you have any hope of defeating me now!"
"We'll see about that!" Sailor Mars shouted as she aimed with her finger. "MARS BURNING MANDALA!"
The Guardian of Mars fired a volley of rings made of fire at the droid, but to her surprise, the rings of fire stopped and shot back straight towards her.
Sailor Mars let out a squeak in surprise and hit the dirt just as the rings shot past her. "What the heck just happened?!" she cried.
Sailor Mercury then activated her visor while taking out her supercomputer, and in a manner of seconds, she figured out what was going on. "The reversed polarity made it go backward!" she gasped. "In other words, that droid made time reverse!"
"Oh, great! Another time user!" Solaris complained. "Hasn't one been enough already?!"
"Let's see if she can handle a combined attack!" Sailor Jupiter said. "Sailor Venus, you with me?"
"Yeah! Let's do it!" Sailor Venus acknowledged.
Sailor Jupiter then extended her antenna and gathered all the lightning in her hands, while Sailor Venus summoned forth a heart-shaped chain of energy that swirled around her.
"JUPITER SPARKLING WIDE PRESSURE!"
"VENUS LOVE-ME CHAIN!"
Sailor Jupiter then threw her signature disc of lightning attack while Venus fired her chain. The two melded into one, creating a sparking chain of lightning, but just like with Mars, Luax used her powers to reverse time, sending the combined attack right back at them, causing the two of duck for cover as the attack shot past them.
"Geez! Even with a combined attack, that didn't work!" Solaris growled in frustration. "Mercury, please tell me that you've figured out a weakness!"
"I have Solaris," Sailor Mercury said. "According to my calculations, when she used her power, the time distortion vanished for a brief moment. That moment is when we'll strike!"
"But if that's the case, then we only got one shot at this," said Sailor Venus grimly.
"And since none of our normal attacks will work, we only have one option," said Sailor Mars. "We'll have to use the Sailor Planet Attack! It's our only hope!"
"Then let's do it!" said Sailor Jupiter.
"But wait, how are we going to get her to activate her power?" wondered Sailor Moon. "It's not like we can ask her to."
Tuxedo Mask then spoke up. "Leave it to me!" he said. "I'll buy you the time you need!"
"But, Mamo! It's too dangerous!" Chibiusa objected.
But Tuxedo Mask had already dashed straight towards Luax, his cane at the ready as he prepared to fight.
"And what do you hope to accomplish, little boy?" Luax mocked. "If you're going to be my opponent, I won't show any mercy!"
As they began to fight, the Guardians got into a circle and concentrated all their powers together.
"MARS STAR POWER!"
"MERCURY STAR POWER!"
"JUPITER STAR POWER!"
"VENUS STAR POWER!"
"SOLAR PRISM POWER!"
"MOON CRYSTAL POWER!"
While this was happening, Chibiusa watched as Tuxedo Mask fought bravely against Luax, using his cane as well as his roses to fight. However, Luax was countering him with every turn while refusing to use her time powers. Chibiusa knew that Tuxedo Mask couldn't last much longer, and Luax would soon catch on to what Sailor Moon had planned. That was when she knew that she had to do something to help them.
Gritting her teeth, he summoned forth the pink odango called forth her will while aiming with her slingshot, her forehead glowing brightly. Then she fired, releasing a powerful pink bullet of energy that zipped through the air and nailed the droid smack in the face. This time, the attack hurt her, causing the droid to let out a cry in surprise and agony as she staggered.
Luax then looked at Chibiusa, knowing that the attack came from her, and glared with fury. "You little brat! You pay for that!" the droid shrieked as she held out her hands. "LUAX POWER!"
Luax then unleashed a powerful distortion of time at the girl, intending to kill her, but Tuxedo Mask quickly leaped into action, scooping Chibiusa into his arms and out of the way just in time.
"Do it now!" Tuxedo Mask yelled at the Guardians. "Hurry!"
"SAILOR PLANET ATTACK!"
The six Guardian's bodies radiated with light even more as six pillars of light shot into the air merging into one immense sphere of power. Then, six intense and colorful beams of light erupted from that sphere, piercing straight through Luax's time distortion and right into the droid herself. With a final shriek of agony, Luax disintegrated, leaving only a pile of ash.
"Alright!" Sailor Moon and the others cheered.
"Well done, Chibiusa!" congratulated Tuxedo Mask. "You were able to create the opening the Guardians needed! I'm very proud of you!"
Everyone else heartily agreed as they gave Chibiusa their compliments as well.
After that, everyone regrouped to the doors leading to the future.
"Now that we're all together again, let's continue to Crystal Tokyo," said Artemis. "Is everyone ready?"
Everyone answered with a nod, and with a loud creak, the doors leading to the future slowly opened. But then, when they did, Sailor Moon and the others gasped, for a terrible sight awaited their eyes.
In front of their eyes was a bleak and desolate city that was in ruins with a giant crystal palace in the distance, giving them a strong sense of deja-vu.
"No way..." Sailor Moon spoke in a hushed murmur. "Is this... the future?"
No one said a word.
