A.N. — First, a heads-up: this is the second chapter posted today, due to the site being wonky yesterday. So go check out Romero Fujimi's chapter if you haven't already. Anyway, it feels like a while since I've dipped into the Vigilantes manga. Luckily, this birthday comes along to remedy that. Tomorrow will also be me returning to a topic not covered in a few weeks. I had a humor drabble on tap for today (the first line remained largely intact from that draft), but the write took me in another direction. Happy birthday, Shoko Haimawari.
232. Shoko Haimawari
Fly Swatter was a useful quirk when your precocious baby could float away with his quirk and didn't know any better not to. But all those repeated smackdowns didn't do much to endear Shoko Haimawari to her son.
She never meant for Koichi to repress his ability, though.
Shoko was stern for Koichi's safety. He loved playing heroes with the local kids at the playground, but always wound up left behind by them. Shoko wasn't very high on the hero industry in the first place, but to her dismay, no amount of spanking or slapping could quell Koichi's uplifting dream.
