After Sailor Moon and her party regrouped inside the Crystal Palace, Solaris and Tuxedo Mask told everyone about Chibiusa, and naturally, everyone was worried. They all split up, searching throughout the Crystal Palace as they called out her name, but alas, Chibiusa was nowhere around. They soon met up in the upper levels of the palace, in a large garden in the central tower.

"Any luck, you guys?" asked Sailor Moon

"No," replied Sailor Mars. "We can't find her anywhere."

"You don't think that the enemy has got her, do you?" asked Sailor Jupiter worriedly. "If she's not anywhere in the palace then-"

"We shouldn't jump to conclusions just yet," Tuxedo Mask cut in. "We've got to keep looking."

"Tuxedo Mask's right," agreed Solaris. "Let's all split up again and look around one more time. If you see anything, use your communicators."

Everyone answered with a nod, and they all scattered in different directions resuming their search.

In the Black Monolith, Wiseman was alone with Chibiusa, who was hovering just above him, as the evil specter continued using his powers as well as psychological torture on the poor odango.

"Horrible memories of the past leave deep, painful scars, and yours are no exception," Wiseman said. "Small Lady, you remember how your mean mother and cruel father always mistreated you, don't you?"

Chibiusa didn't say anything, nor did she need to. Wiseman's crystal ball would answer for her as it began to show another one of her memories.

When she was a bit smaller than she is now, she was walking out in the rain with her mother and her father, feeling as happy as can be. Then Chibiusa heard a sound that caught her attention. The sound was coming from a cute, little green frog just a few feet away from where they were. Being the curious little girl she was and wanting to catch the frog, Chibiusa chased after it.

"Don't run. Small Lady!" warned Neo Queen Serenity. "You'll trip and fall!"

Then, just as her mother had said, Chibiusa fumbled and fell flat on her face onto the cold, wet ground as her umbrella went flying. Naturally, being the child she was after taking the fall, Chibiusa began to sniffle as her eyes filled with tears until she began to cry.

Neo Queen Serenity sighed. "You see what happens when you don't listen to Mommy?" she said. "And crying won't help you either."

Chibiusa was surprised as well as cross. "Mommy, I hate you!" she wailed bitterly. She looked at her father. "Daddy, help me up!"

Endymion glared at Chibiusa. "Get up by yourself," he said in a cold demeanor.

"Your parents never gave you a helping hand," Wiseman said. "That act alone proves that they never loved you."

While he spoke to her, a stream of Dark Power began to rise from the floor and curl around Chibiusa's body, starting to corrupt her with its evil power. Knowing that she was starting to lose herself to the evil force, Wiseman waved his hands around his crystal ball again, using it to show the pink odango girl another memory.

"Think back. Remember," Wiseman spoke in a hypnotic tone. "All the many examples of those who have hated you."

Another memory then appeared in his crystal ball. This time, Chibiusa saw herself standing alone outside the Crystal Palace, looking very sad and alone. Then, Solaris and Sailors Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, and Venus came up.

"Small Lady. So, this is where you've been," Taiyou said.

"Why the long face?" wondered Sailor Mercury.

"Well, the thing is," mumbled Chibiusa. "Today is my birthday."

"Your birthday?" repeated Sailor Venus. "Oh, that's right!"

"But, Mommy and Daddy are doing something very far away," Chibiusa spoke sadly.

"Don't worry. These things happen," soothed Sailor Mars. "Both of them must have had official business to attend to."

"Otherwise, they would be here to celebrate it with you," said Sailor Jupiter. "However, I don't know how long they'll be gone."

Chibiusa couldn't help but feel all the more miserable as her eyes began to well up with tears as she started to cry.

Taiyou then spoke to the guardians. "Say, why don't we help Small Lady cele -."

"Solaris!" Sailor Jupiter suddenly interrupted. "We can't! Remember?"

Solaris then gasped. "Oh yeah! That's right!" he turned to Chibiusa. "Sorry, Small Lady. I just remembered. There's something we have to do right now, and it can't wait. We'll see you later, okay? Let's go, girls."

And before Chibiusa could even say anything, Solaris and the Sailor Guardians all dashed away into the palace, leaving her all alone. Chibiusa was shocked and felt even more lonely and miserable.

That memory made Chibiusa all the more horrible, as the Dark Energy swirled around her even faster. As her eyes began to fill with tears, something other than sadness began to take hold of the little girl's heart and was getting stronger by the second.

Hate.

"Everyone... they all... left me all alone," Chibiusa spoke bitterly. "And nobody celebrated my birthday with me, completely ignoring me."

"Yes, that's it. You're right," Wiseman spoke, a smile evident in his voice. "No one loves you. No one cares about you."

And the more Chibiusa thought of this, the more she began to believe it. "No one cares about me. No one loves me. I'm all alone." she spoke miserably.

"Yes, hate them. Hate the people who have treated you horribly," Wiseman continued. "Then, set free that hatred on the world that has rejected you, and shroud them in the gloom of darkness! Fill your heart with darkness, accept the power of the Malefic Black Crystal, and use that power to destroy the world!"

Chibiusa's face contorted into a hateful snarl as the Dark Power swirled around her body, even more, enveloping her in a coat throughout her entire body. As the Dark Power crackled and sparked, Chibiusa began to undergo a startling transformation. Her body aged, her figure becoming fuller and curvier like a woman's, her hair grew as long as Usagi's, and she gained a set of black earrings as well as a black upside-down crescent moon mark. Her outfit was now a black dress with slits on both sides, with the sleeves and chest portions having see-through dark pink fabric and her skirt matching in color. She also wore a shawl that went around her back, diamond-studded cuffs and a collar, and high heels made of satin.

Prince Demande was sitting at his throne, enjoying his time alone as usual. That was until Wiseman and the newly transformed Chibiusa suddenly appeared.

"The time has finally come!" Wiseman said triumphantly. "Our Malefic Black Crystal has now made a faithful and formidable servant out of the Rabbit. As the recipient of unrivaled power, the Rabbit has transformed and become the queen of darkness!"

Prince Demande stared and couldn't help but be surprised as well as astonished. Most especially at the mark in the middle of the woman's forehead. "It can't be! The Rabbit?!" he spoke incredulously. "And you have our clan's symbol, too!"

"Please, try not to call me Rabbit anymore," the woman spoke with a grin. "Call me, Black Lady."

"Prince Demande, you must leave immediately and return to twentieth-century Earth," Wiseman instructed. "Once you are there, Black Lady will manifest her Dark Power, and that, you will be able to conquer the world and destroy Crystal Tokyo."

Wiseman and Black Lady then disappeared. Prince Demande still felt a bit overwhelmed seeing Chibiusa as an ally and Black Lady, but he was more pleased about getting his chance to achieve his goal.

"Finally," the prince spoke while clenching his fist with delight. "At long last, the time has come for Earth to feel the full force of my anger! My time for revenge has come!"

Just then, Saphir appeared. "Brother, it would be wise for you to be very cautious of Wiseman," he warned. "Especially since what happened to Esmeraude. Ever since we've heard the news of her death, I can't help but think that Wiseman played a part in her death by using her."

"Using her? Preposterous," Prince Demande scoffed. "We were exiled, forced to live on this remote planet because of the people of Earth! I will sacrifice as many lives as I have to, as long as I can get my revenge on them!"

"But Big Brother, don't you see?" insisted Saphir. "Wiseman's actions have shown that he's untrustworthy! If he killed Esmeraude, he could very well come after the two of us as well if we cross him!"

"Ridiculous! Wiseman has shared important information and provided us with the Malefic Black Crystal's power. Who else can I trust, Saphir?!" Prince Demande spoke, still being stubborn. "We're so close to victory; I can taste it! Those Sailor Guardians are the problem, not to mention that accursed Taiyou has destroyed most of our forces. They're the only ones keeping us from winning this fight, and we can't go on like this much longer. We must defeat them, and the best way to do that is to conquer Crystal Tokyo is by destroying their world in the past."

He then stood up, glancing at his brother as a victorious smile showed itself again.

"Now that the Rabbit has become Black Lady and serves the Malefic Black Crystal, we must seize this opportunity," he went on as he brushed a few hairs off of Saphir's forehead, causing the boy to blush. "So, I will leave for the past to join her in building a Dark Gate on their Earth. As for you, dear brother, you will assist our efforts by protecting the reactor and amplifying the Malefic Black Crystal's energy until it opens."

Saphir was a bit surprised by his brother's gesture as a small smile tugged at his cheeks. "I will, Big Brother," he said.

Back at the Crystal Palace, Sailor Moon and the others still couldn't find Chibiusa, despite searching the entire palace from top to bottom. They soon stopped their search and then reported back to King Endymion.

The poor king couldn't help but be worried. "You've searched everywhere in the Crystal Palace?" he asked.

"We're sorry, but yes," said Tuxedo Mask. "We have no idea where else she could have gone."

For a moment, there was silence. Luna-P couldn't help but let out a couple of beeps of worry. Sailor Moon then took Luna-P into her arms and gave it a few pats, wanting to reassure it. Then at that moment, the console began to beep, catching everyone's attention. King Endymion quickly went over to it and pressed a few buttons, and Sailor Pluto's face appeared on the screen.

"Sailor Pluto!" gasped Sailor Moon.

"King Endymion, Guardians, I have troubling news," Sailor Pluto said, her voice sounding worried. "I take it that you're all looking for Small Lady?"

"Yes, we have. But, unfortunately, we can't find Chibiusa anywhere in the Crystal Palace," said King Endymion. "Do you have any idea, Sailor Pluto?"

"I do, but it's very confusing as well as unnerving," said Sailor Pluto. "Small Lady has gone back to the past."

Everyone gasped, even King Endymion.

"Back to the past?!" repeated Sailor Moon. "Are you sure?"

"Yes, she did," nodded Sailor Pluto. "Not only that, but it seems Prince Demande, the man you saw kidnap Sailor Moon before, followed her there as well."

Solaris clenched his fists, remembering the evil prince. "Not that guy again! So, did Chibiusa go through the Time Corridor?"

Sailor Pluto shook her head. "No, she did not. I'm afraid that something might have happened to her if she was able to get back to the past without going through the Corridor."

"If that's the case, then you all must immediately return to the past as soon as possible!" said King Endymion. "Small Lady could be in danger."

"But hold on, if we have to go back, then we'll have to go through the Space-Time Corridor again," Solaris pointed out. "And if Chibiusa is in trouble, then we can't afford to take our sweet time going through it."

"Solaris is right," Sailor Jupiter said. "Isn't there some kind of shortcut we can take?"

King Endymion then looked at the Guardian of Time. "Sailor Pluto, I know this is forbidden, but this is an emergency," he said. "Can you please help them?"

Sailor Pluto bowed, respectively, at her king. "Of course, I can," she said.

The screen went blank, and at the next moment, a fog came billowing in the room until a familiar pair of large stone doors appeared in the area. They slowly swung open with a creak, and Sailor Pluto stood at the doorway, waiting for the Guardians, gave a few quick taps of her staff, and a barrier shrouded her.

"Please, follow me," said Sailor Pluto. "I can lead you back to the past safely and quickly."

"Alright!" Sailor Moon cheered happily. "Thanks a lot, Sailor Pluto!"

The Guardians then all rushed through the door of Space-Time, but before he went through the door, Solaris then stopped suddenly remembering.

"Wait, I almost forgot!" Solaris gasped as he rushed back to King Endymion. "Excuse me, King Endymion, but there's something I wanted to ask you that I just remembered."

"What is it?" asked King Endymion.

Solaris then briefly spoke to King Endymion, asking him his essential question. When he asked it, King Endymion was a bit surprised.

"I'm surprised that you would ask something like that," King Endymion said. "I'm not sure if that's possible, but I'll consider it once this is over."

"That's all I wanted to hear," said Solaris. "Thank you, and goodbye, King Endymion."

Solaris then turned back towards the door and rushed through it, disappearing. The door then closed with a loud clack and then disappeared from view.

King Endymion stood there staring at the door once stood while saying a silent prayer. "Please, be safe, everyone, and save Small Lady."

In the Twentieth-Century Juuban, in the middle of Downtown, Prince Demande and Black Lady were preparing to execute their plan to create the Dark Gate.

Prince Demande couldn't help but feel elated. "Now is the time to fulfill my dream and wreak my vengeance on Earth."

The evil prince then took off one of his earrings and held it out, the bottom tip pointing to the ground. The end began to glow and shine until it shot a beam of Dark Power directly into the street. A black crystal slowly peeked out like a plant from the ground, growly at a slow and steady pace. Then, Black Lady held out her hands and released an intense wave of Dark Power of her own at the crystal, which caused it to grow even faster. The crystal grew more spacious and larger until it was a fourth of a building in size, releasing a tall black pillar of energy as it did.

Inside the Space-Time Corridor, with Sailor Pluto leading the way, and thanks to her powers, Sailor Moon and her party were flying through the dimensional space at an incredible speed. It seemed to take only a few minutes or so, but soon, they could see a portal of light just ahead of them, and when they went through it, they found themselves back in Juuban Park.

"It looks like we're back in the Juuban District," said Luna.

Sailor Moon looked up at the sky and saw a sight that made her feel at peace. The sky was filled with stars with a full yellow moon amongst them. "You're right. Just look at how lovely the sky is, especially the moon," she sighed with content. "Thank goodness. It's nice to be in a peaceful place such as this."

"I agree," smiled Sailor Mars. "Let's make sure it stays that way."

"First things first," said Sailor Mercury. "We have to figure out what Prince Demande intends to do here in the present."

Sailor Moon nodded firmly. "And we have to find Chibiusa as well," she said. "I just hope that she's okay, wherever she is."

"Don't worry, we'll find her and bring her home," said Solaris. "And we'll give that Prince Demande Creep a good old-fashioned butt whooping too!"

Suddenly, Tuxedo Mask then gasped. "Hey, look at that!" he cried while pointing towards the distance. "What is that?!"

Everyone then looked, and sure enough, they could see a large black pillar of Dark Power in the distance, which made them gasp.

"It appears as though Prince Demande is trying to create a new Dark Gate!" Artemis said grimly.

"We can't let him do that!" cried Sailor Moon. "Everyone! Let's go and stop him!"

The gang then raced towards where the pillar was coming from as fast as possible. The group was just about to enter the Downtown part of Juuban when a giant whirlwind of streams of black energy barred their way. The streams of power soon dissipated, and in its place was Black Lady.

"This is as far as you go, Guardians!" said Black Lady.

"Who are you?!" asked Sailor Moon.

"I am the Queen of Darkness, created by the Wiseman," the woman proclaimed. "I am known as Black Lady! And using the power of the Malefic Black Crystal, I will turn this miserable world into one of permanent darkness!"

Luna-P began to beep at that moment, its antenna flashing as it hovered over to Black Lady. When Black Lady saw Luna-P, her evil eyes softened as she wrapped her arms around it, hugging it close to her chest.

"Oh, Luna-P, so you recognized me after all," Black Lady cooed. "You were the only one I could ever call a true friend."

The moment this happened, Sailor Moon gasped, for she knew that one person would make Luna-P act this way and would call it her faithful friend. Everyone else also recognized this as well.

"No way. It's not possible," Sailor Moon murmured, her voice filled with disbelief. "Chibiusa is that you?!"

Black Lady laughed. "I suppose I may have gotten called that name at one time," she said.

"That can't be!" Tuxedo Mask cried. "There no way Chibiusa could have changed like this!"

"Since you don't believe me, I'll just Luna-P speak for me!" Black Lady grinned. "TRANSFORM!"

Black Lady threw Luna-P towards the ground with a mighty throw, making it bounce once. Then, as it flew back up, it exploded in a dark pink cloud, and its place was a shady maroon-colored umbrella. Black Lady caught the umbrella, opened it, and while making it spin in her hand, she unleashed a severe attack in the form of a black beam of energy. The force of the attack blew Sailor Moon and the others back, knocking them to the ground, bruised, bemused, as well as surprised.

"Y-You got to be kidding me!" Solaris grunted.

"She's... pretty powerful," Sailor Jupiter winced.

"Chibiusa, what in the world happened to you?" Sailor Venus asked. "Why are you attacking us?"

Black Lady's face turned into a hateful scowl. "Because I can't forgive you people!" she spoke in a cold demeanor. "I despise all the people who ignored me! I despise everyone in this world!"

"What are you talking about?!" asked Sailor Moon. "Who's been ignoring you?!"

"Everyone that I knew!" responded Black Lady. "From my parents to all the others!"

"Something's wrong with her!" Sailor Mars spoke worriedly. "Somehow, someone's warped her mind!"

"An evil force is controlling her!" cried Sailor Mercury.

"Chibiusa, how can you even say those things?!" Sailor Moon spoke, trying to reason with her. "Your Dad, your Mom, your friends, everyone around you, all of us loved and cared about you!"

"All of your love was fake!" Black Lady yelled. "So spare me your lies!"

She closed her umbrella and made it spin like a drill and gunned straight for Sailor Moon, thrusting it forward, but Sailor Moon quickly jumped out of the way, making it pierce the ground. Black Lady attacked again, swinging her umbrella drill, and all Sailor Moon could do was dodge the attack once more, not wanting to hurt her.

"Sailor Moon, you can't keep running away!" Luna cried out. "You have to fight back!"

"I won't!" Sailor Moon cried back. "She's still Chibiusa! I just can't bring myself to fight her!"

Black Lady began to fire long, sharp spines at the Guardian using her magic umbrella. All Sailor Moon could do was keep dodging until she tripped, falling onto the ground. Black Lady seized her chance and fired more spines. Sailor Moon rolled out of the way, avoiding them, but they managed to pin her to the ground leaving her unable to move.

Black Lady spun her umbrella again and dove straight for Sailor Moon, intending to finish her with prejudice. "GO TO HELL!" she shrieked.

Sailor Moon shut her eyes, not seeing a way out, but at the last minute, Solaris quickly stepped in front, and as Black Lady thrust her weapon forward, Solaris caught it with both of his hands, stopping her. It spun in his hands, causing them to smoke from the friction, but Solaris gritted his teeth as he squeezed, and after a few seconds, he stopped it from moving. Then with a mighty push, he threw Black Lady away from himself and Sailor Moon.

"Chibiusa, you may be brainwashed, but I am not about to let you hurt my sister!" Solaris spoke firmly. "Can't you see that the enemy is just using you?! Wake up already!"

"He's right! Even the prettiest of flowers will wither when infected with poisonous energy!" said Tuxedo Mask. "Chibiusa, evil energy has corrupted you right now! Break free!"

Black Lady growled in anger and fired spines at Tuxedo Mask, causing the masked caped crusader to jump upward to dodge. While that happened, Solaris broke the spines that trapped Sailor Moon and helped her to her feet.

"Sailor Moon, you got any ideas?" Solaris asked. "Because we can use one right about now."

At first, Sailor Moon couldn't think of anything. Then she got an idea. "I think I might have one," she said. "If I can use the Silver Crystal to erase the evil energy that's controlling her, it just might work!"

"You mean like you did with the Spectre Sisters?" asked Solaris. "That could work! Go for it!"

Sailor Moon then took her brooch and held it up high, opening it. "Chibiusa! Small Lady! Evil energy has infected your mind, so now, it's time for you to refresh! MOON CRYSTAL POWER!"

Black Lady looked up in time to see the Silver Crystal let out three chimes before erupting in a bright pink glow, which made her shield her eyes.

"Chibiusa! You're not thinking clearly!" Sailor Moon called out. "Remember your childhood! Your mommy and daddy, as well as your friends, have always been kind to you! Think back! Please!"

As the light continued to shine on her, Black Lady recalled the memory of her birthday once again. But, this time, she saw the truth.

She was running about the hallways, desperately searching for her parents, not wanting to be alone on her special day. She soon came to a dark room, and when she entered, the lights suddenly came on as the sound of party poppers filled the room. In the middle of this room, waiting for her, were Chibiusa's mother, her father, and all the other Guardians. Solaris was carrying a cake with five candles, a cute bunny made of marshmallows, and a chocolate sign: Happy Birthday, Small Lady.

"Happy Birthday, Small Lady!" everyone said together.

Chibiusa's eyes sparkled with joy. "Mommy! Daddy! Everyone! You did remember!" she squealed happily.

"Sorry for the delay, Small Lady, but we wanted to keep this a secret, kiddo," Taiyou grinned. "I mean, it wouldn't be a surprise if you knew."

"And we're sorry you had to wait a day to celebrate your birthday with us," apologized King Endymion. "We had a lot of work to be done."

"And when they finished, your parents rushed back as soon as they could so they could have this party for you," Sailor Mercury chimed in.

"They also wanted to make it a big surprise for you tonight as well," grinned Sailor Mars.

"So we kept it a secret, despite Taiyou almost spoiling it," said Sailor Jupiter.

"Sorry we couldn't tell you," Sailor Venus said. "But as they say, the best surprises are the ones you don't expect."

Chibiusa felt even happier, her eyes brimming with tears of joy. "Thank you, Mommy, Daddy, everyone!"

Because of that memory, the black crescent mark on Chibiusa's forehead began to disappear as the light began to return to her eyes. Her body also began to shrink as well as her hair.

"It's working!" gasped Sailor Mars. "She's changing back!"

"She's finally starting to understand the truth!" Sailor Jupiter spoke with joy. "She's breaking free!"

"She's not out of the woods yet!" warned Solaris. "Keep going, Sailor Moon! She's almost there!"

Sailor Moon responded with a nod as she continued to use the Silver Crystal to bring Chibiusa back. Then, when it seemed that Chibiusa was about to Refresh to her normal state, Wiseman suddenly appeared.

"Black Lady, don't let them trick you!" Wiseman called out. "Remember how awful your mother was and your cruel, heartless father! You were an innocent child starving for love, a lonely soul who wanted the people around you to remember your birthday but who never was."

Sailor Moon and the others jumped in surprise as Chibiusa's transformation stopped.

"No, Chibiusa!" cried Sailor Mars. "Don't listen to him!"

"You wanted to believe they loved you so badly that you created a foolish hallucination," Wiseman continued. "Something created by the Silver Crystal."

"A hallucination?" repeated Chibiusa, her body waning between herself and Black Lady. "You mean that wonderful memory was nothing but a lie?"

"No, it wasn't fake! That memory was real!" Sailor Moon insisted. "Chibiusa, you can't let that guy trick you! It did happen!"

Chibiusa held her hands to her head as she furrowed her brow in frustration. "I don't know. I don't know anymore!" the female cried. "Which is right and which is wrong?!"

"They're lying to you, Black Lady! No one loves you!" Wiseman spoke. "You must harden your heart and become more ruthless and hateful! No one loves you! It's all lies! No one will ever love you!"

And as he waved his crystal ball, Wiseman began sending Dark Energy towards Chibiusa, filling her with its evil power once more, making the girl cry out in agony.

Then, Solaris dashed towards Wiseman, his hand clenched into a fist charging power. "I've had just about enough of you, you bastard!" he roared. "Leave Chibiusa alone!"

The Guardian of the Sun then unleashed a powerful Nova Flare, intending to destroy him in a single hit. But then someone appeared in the line of fire, turned Luna-P into an umbrella again, and spun it around using it as a shield, deflecting the attack safely away from him. That someone was Black Lady, much to Sailor Moon and her party's horror.

"He's right! No one celebrated my birthday!" Black Lady spoke in a hateful glare. "No one loved me, after all! Wiseman has given me a new life and my name as Black Lady! I'm not Chibiusa!"

"You're wrong!" Sailor Moon cried. "You are Chibiusa!"

"You're not from the Black Moon Clan!" Artemis also shouted.

"Remember who you are!" Luna cried.

"Don't allow that evil energy to possess you!" Tuxedo Mask yelled. "Come back to us!"

But Black Lady smirked, ignoring their pleas. "Soon, the power of the Malefic Black Crystal will be unleashed from Planet Nemesis and fire toward Earth destroying it, and every one of you heartless people will be disintegrated, along with your soon-to-be-dark world!"

"There is no way we'll let that happen!" Solaris yelled in defiance. "We'll stop it from ever happening, and we'll save you too, Chibiusa!"

Black Lady looked across to Solaris and raised her hand. Then, before anyone had a chance to react, a thick black stream of energy erupted from the ground, snaking and whipping around Solaris until it wrapped around his body, constricting him tight like a snake.

"Hey! What is this?!" Solaris cried as he struggled to break free. "Let me go!"

Black Lady laughed as she flicked her fingers, and Solaris suddenly began to float straight towards him until he stopped just in front of her. Sailor Moon and the others couldn't help but be alarmed.

"Solaris!" Sailors Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, and Venus cried.

"Chibiusa! What are you doing?!" demanded Sailor Moon. "Let him go!"

The possessed woman then placed two fingers on his forehead. "Since you all decided to try and trick me into believing your lies, I believe it's time for me to return the favor!"

Her fingers crackled and sparked with power, and in seconds, Solaris' body was enveloped in black energy, making him scream in agony. As the evil power contaminated his body, his armor began to dissipate piece by piece until it was gone entirely, reverting him to his normal state. Then, he began to undergo another transformation.

Transformation sequence: Harusuke

Harusuke's body is enveloped in an evil black light, cloaking his entire body as the symbol of the Black Moon Clan glows in the middle of his forehead, while his Solar Prism turns into a dark shade of black, glowing violet. Multiple streams of black energy begin to encircle his body, whipping all around him. Two of them bind his feet tightly and transform into his boots that were colored black with violet knee caps. Dark purple lines run along his sides as two more tendrils of black energy bound his wrists, transforming into gloves. Next, three tendrils wrap around his center, two around his shoulders and one around his midsection, making him wince in pain as the energy spreads throughout, creating his chest piece of armor that bore a violet symbol of Solaris. Finally, one final tendril encircles and wraps around his face, morphing into his helmet. Harusuke's eyes open, now glowing in a violet hue, and he lets out a mighty scream as his body explodes in a powerful aura, striking a power-up pose, his symbol along with the Black Moon Clan's overlapping in the background amongst flickering violet flames.

As Black Lady took her hands off his forehead, Sailor Moon and the others watched in horror as the newly transformed Solaris touched down on the ground, sporting black armor and an evil aura.

"Chibiusa, what have you done to him?!" demanded Sailor Moon in horror.

Black Lady then cackled with glee as she too touched the ground. "Isn't it obvious? Since you went through the trouble to try and turn me against Wiseman, I figured I'd repay you in kind by turning your precious Solaris against you. So now he's a member of the Black Moon Clan and belongs to me."

Wiseman cackled in delight, sounding pleased. "Well done, Black Lady! Just what I would expect from the Queen of Darkness!"

Solaris went over to Black Lady's side as she held out her hand to him. The newly tainted Guardian got down on one knee, gingerly holding the woman's hand, and kissed the top. Sailor Moon and the others were shocked.

"Solaris, what are you doing?!" demanded Sailor Mars. "You gotta snap out of it! Chibiusa's controlling you!"

Solaris straightened up and gave a cold stare. "You're wrong. I am Black Lady's loyal knight, and it is my mission to serve her along with the Black Moon Clan," he spoke coldly. "and I will do whatever it takes to fulfill it."

Black Lady giggled as she stroked Solaris's cheek affectionately. "What a good boy you are, my servant," she cooed. "Now, I want you to kill those Sailor Guardians and take the Silver Crystal!"

Solaris turned towards the Guardians and slowly walked towards them, like a lion stalking its prey, as his hands sparked and radiated with Dark Power.

"This isn't good!" Sailor Jupiter spoke grimly. "Chibiusa is bad enough, but now we've got Solaris to deal with?!"

"What should we do?" asked Sailor Mercury. "We can't possibly fight both of them at once!"

"There's only one thing we can do," said Tuxedo Mask. "We have no choice but retreat."

The Sailor Guardians looked at Tuxedo Maks gasping. Sailor Moon especially couldn't believe what she was hearing.

"But Tuxedo Mask! We can't just leave!" Sailor Moon objected. "I'm not going to leave Chibiusa and Solaris behind!"

"I understand that Usako, but we don't have any means of stopping them right now!" Tuxedo Mask spoke, trying not to yell. "The best thing we can do is live to fight another day and come up with a plan!"

Sailor Moon still wanted to protest, insisting that they stay, but she knew that was the best option they had right now. All she could do was answer with a nod as she bit her lip, trying not to cry from frustration.

"As much as I hate to say it, Tuxedo Mask's right," said Artemis. "We have to get out of here now!

"Sailor Mercury!" cried out Luna. "Give us some cover!"

Sailor Mercury using her Bubble Spray, created a thick blanket of fog, hiding them from view. Solaris, sensing that they were trying to escape quickly, rushed towards it, intending to stop them, but Sailor Moon and the others had already disappeared when the fog cleared.

"So they managed to get away," Wiseman spoke to himself. "No matter. Running won't save them. With the impending opening of the Dark Gate, along with Black Lady, and our newest ally, it won't be long until we destroy this world along with Crystal Tokyo!"
