A.N. — Even as the head honcho of the Volcano Thieves, there's not a ton of info out there about this big brute. That's good for me, as I get to fill in the blanks with what I want. And rather than delving into his villainous nature, I decided to explore how one's quirk can make a person appear worse than they truly are.

235. Maguma Iwata/Volcano

The only gentle thing about the villain Volcano was the way smoke wafted from his skin. Even that, given the man's height, looked ominous. And he was never dormant long.

Unlike normal lava, which cooled when exposed to the air, Maguma Iwata always ran hot, his top primed to blow at a moment's notice. His quirk was to blame. Eruption ate away at him from the inside, devouring his body's fat stores and expelling them as liquid fire. It hurt like hell, always — whether letting it build pressure by bubbling under the surface or releasing it to scorch his surroundings.
