The next day, all of the Guardians met up at the Game Crown Arcade. Usagi and Harusuke had just finished telling the others about their encounter with Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune.
"So, that's all they said to you?" wondered Rei. "Just 'Don't get in our way?"
Both the Tsukino siblings nodded.
"Did anything else other than that?" asked Ami. "You know, something specific like their names?"
"If we knew, then we would have told you, Luna," Harusuke said. "But they didn't give us anything. Not even a bit of info, not that they would tell us."
"Was there anything else?" asked Makoto.
Both Usagi and Harusuke then thought back to the other night, each one remembering what transpired.
The kiss between Sailor Uranus and Sailor Moon only lasted a second, but it seemed to last for eternity. Sailor Uranus then pulled away and, while flashing a smile, took to the air vanishing from sight, leaving Sailor Moon dumbfounded as well as red in the face.
Then, Sailor Venus and Mars arrived.
"Sailor Moon, are you okay?" asked Sailor Venus.
The Guardian of the Moon didn't answer as she held her lips, her heart pounding wildly.
Solaris felt his body go rigid as Sailor Neptune's lips touched his, unable to move or speak. As Sailor Neptune pulled away, Solaris staggered back in surprise, almost falling onto his bottom. Sailor Neptune gave one last smile and then took to the air, disappearing into the trees. Not long after, Sailors Mercury and Jupiter rushed to the scene.
"Solaris! There you are!" Sailor Jupiter cried. "What happened? Are you alright?"
Solaris didn't respond as he stood there, his eyes wide with shock and his face redder than a rose.
"N-No. Nothing," said Usagi as she looked away. "That was it."
"Y-Yeah. Me too," Harusuke said.
"Well, either way, we still don't know anything about them if they're Guardians or not," said Minako. "We need to find out more about them and their true identities."
Neither Usagi nor Harusuke said a word.
The next day, Usagi was sitting by herself in the park, eating a crepe. However, she didn't seem to be in the mood to eat, still thinking about the night when Sailor Uranus kissed her.
"Usagi? Usagi? Are you listening to me?"
Usagi then looked down towards Luna, snapping out of her thoughts. "I'm sorry, Luna. What were you saying?" she asked.
"I was saying that you should stop wasting time and get over to Rei's place to study," the black cat said. "You don't want to make everyone upset with you again, do you?"
"No, I suppose not," Usagi said, standing up. "I guess I should get going."
Luna felt puzzled. "Are you okay? You've been acting strangely since the other night," she said. "Is something bothering you?"
Usagi jumped a little, remembering the kiss again. But just as she was about to say something, there was the sound of a motorcycle not too far away. Usagi and Luna looked up, and a few feet away from them, they saw Mamoru pulling up outside the park.
Immediately, Usagi's eyes became hearts as she squealed in delight. "It worked! My wish came true! It's Mamo!"
The ordango blonde then merrily rushed straight towards her lover, but her mood soon changed. As Usagi got closer, she could see that someone was riding on with Mamoru on the back of his motorcycle, and it was a girl wearing a uniform she didn't know. Upon seeing the girl, Usagi felt her heart stop beating in her chest, immediately thinking the worst.
Mamoru then looked up. "Oh, hey, Usako," he greeted with a wave. "Fancy seeing you here."
"Um, Mamo?" Usagi spoke quietly. "Who is that girl?"
The girl then took off her helmet, revealing her identity. It was Motoki's little sister, Unazuki Furahata.
"Wait, Unazuki?" Usagi gasped. "What are you doing with Mamo?"
"Oh, hi, Usagi," greeted Unazuki, hopping off. "Long story short, my scatterbrained brother Motoki is going on a trip today, but he ran out of the house without his ticket. And so as I came running out of the house -"
"I happened to be passing by," Mamoru chimed in. "And I gave her a lift to the train station. It sure was perfect timing, though."
Usagi felt all the tension in her body release, feeling very relieved. "Oh, is that all? You two almost gave me a heart attack," she laughed.
Mamoru and Unazuki were puzzled, but Usagi pretended she didn't see. She then came over to Mamoru and patted him on the shoulder.
"In any case, that's a pretty sharp-looking outfit you got on, Mamo," said Usagi. "It not only looks great on you, but it makes you look like a professional driver. It also really shows off your muscles."
Mamoru scratched the back of his helmet, feeling flattered. "Really? You think so?"
"Of course I do," Usagi nodded. "Then again, you have a great body, so everything looks good on you."
"Oh, stop, Usako," Mamoru chuckled. "You're making me blush."
As the two continued to chat, Unazuki couldn't help but watch, feeling a slight bit envious of the two yet thinking they were cute together. But then, they all heard a voice.
"Yo! Usagi! I finally found you!"
Everyone looked up and then saw Harusuke walking towards them. Mamoru then decided to take his leave.
"I'll see you later, Usako," Mamoru called out. "Make sure you do your best on studying!"
And with a rev of his engine, Mamoru drove away. Harusuke then came up to Usagi and Unazuki.
"There you are, Sis. I've been looking for you everywhere," Harusuke said. "You know we have a study session over at Rei's place today, right?"
"I know, I know. I'm coming," Usagi said. She turned to Unazuki. "Anyway, I guess I'm going to get going now, Unazuki. I'll see you later."
But before the Tsukino siblings could leave, they were stopped by Unazuki's voice.
"Harusuke, Usagi, wait a second!"
Harusuke and Usagi stopped.
"What's up, Unazuki?" asked Usagi.
"There's something I need to talk to you and your brother about if you're not too busy," Unazuki asked. "Something private."
Harusuke and Usagi felt puzzled as they looked at each other.
After a while, Usagi and Harusuke were over at the Crown Cafe, above the arcade where Unazuki worked part-time. The two Tsukino's shared a table while Unazuki served some juice.
"So, what's up, Unazuki?" asked Harusuke. "What did you want to talk to us about that was so important?"
Unazuki then looked around before responding, her cheeks flushing bright pink. "Um, well, you see," she stammered. "It's like this. You see, I was wondering about something."
"Well, don't keep us in the dark, was is it?" wondered Usagi.
Then Unazuki leaned in and whispered something to Usagi. When she did, Usagi's face went red as a beet.
"What?! You're asking me if Mamo and I ever kissed?!" Usagi shrieked.
Harusuke nearly choked out his juice while all the patrons couldn't help but glance over at their table.
"Come on, Usagi! Keep your voice down, would you?!" Unazuki squeaked. She looked around left to right, ensuring no one was listening. "So, tell me, what's the deal between you and Mamoru? Have you two kissed yet?" she whispered.
"Well, uh, we have, you see," Usagi stammered, fidgeting in her seat as she blushed even redder. "That's a very personal question, you know!"
"Well, judging from your reaction, I'm assuming that you haven't yet," Unazuki sighed. "But I can also see that you want to."
"But, Unazuki, you've got it all wrong," Usagi tried to explain.
"No, it's okay. I understand. You're both waiting until you're old enough to kiss," interrupted Unazuki. "I mean, what kind of college man like Mamoru would kiss a fourteen-year-old girl?"
Usagi couldn't help but flinch and swallow as she began to sweat a bit. "Um, yeah! You're right! Mamo's been very patient with me!" she screeched nervously.
"If only she knew," Harusuke muttered as he sipped his drink.
"And I'm willing to bet that you haven't kissed anyone yet either, right, Harusuke?" asked Unazuki. "I mean, considering that you're a pretty cute guy, you must have gotten kissed, right?"
Harusuke nearly spat out his drink in response as the memory of his kiss with Sailor Neptune came into his mind. "What?! Who? Me? Of course, I haven't!" he coughed. "Nope! Not me! No one has touched my lips! No, sir! No kiss from this guy!"
Usagi and Unazuki could only stare at Harusuke blankly.
"A-Anyway, why are you asking, Unazuki?" wondered Harusuke. "I mean, you're in high school, right? You must have kissed someone a bunch of times."
Unazuki then gasped as she glanced around again, making sure no one was eavesdropping. "Listen, Usagi? Harusuke? Can I tell you two a big secret?"
The Tsukino siblings were puzzled, but they answered with a nod and listened to Unazuki, giving her their utmost attention.
"Listen, don't tell anyone," Unazuki said firmly. "Understand?"
Usagi and Harusuke nodded as Unazuki took a deep breath before speaking.
"You see, there's this cute boy I'm dating that I like," Unazuki said with a flushed smile. "But you see, up till now, we've never kissed."
Usagi fell over on the table in surprise while Harusuke raised a brow questioningly.
"What?! How could you two be dating and never kissed yet?!" Usagi protested. "I mean, if you like this guy so much, then you should have kissed by now, right?!"
Unazuki smiled, brimming with confidence. "Because I want to cherish my first kiss," she replied. "I've thought a lot about it, and there are several factors to having the perfect first kiss! But, first, I have to be madly in love, and it has to happen at the perfect time and place. So, I'm waiting for it to come. Isn't that how it should be?"
Usagi thought that Unazuki was a little too passionate about this, but Harusuke couldn't help but admire Unazuki even though it was only a little.
"At least she didn't have a random stranger steal her first kiss," Harusuke thought.
Then the three teens heard a slight chuckle coming from the booth next to them.
"How cute," the voice said in an amused tone. "You kids are dreaming about your first kiss."
The three teens looked next to their table and saw Haruka and Michiru. The two of them were sitting at a table next to them, enjoying tea.
"Haruka! Michiru!" Usagi exclaimed. "We didn't know you two were here."
"Oh, I don't know about it being cute. I think it's pretty romantic." smiled Michiru. "Let me ask you something. You three wouldn't happen to know who shared the world's first kiss?
Usagi and her group shook their heads.
"Well, in some religions, Adam and Eve shared the world's first kiss," said Michiru. "And they were also the first man and woman on Earth, too."
"You know, that reminds me," said Haruka. "There are also many different types of kisses. For example, a kiss on the hand signifies respect, while a kiss on the forehead signifies friendship. And a kiss on the palm is asking for a favor."
"Wow, you sure know a lot of kissing, Haruka," Usagi said, feeling impressed.
"Yeah. A bit too much if you ask me," Harusuke muttered, his cheeks still bright pink, taking a sip from his drink again.
"And here's another fact about kissing for you," said Michiru. "During Medieval Times, in fifteenth-century Italy, there was a law that if two people got caught kissing, their families required them to get married."
Harusuke once again choked on his drink, almost spitting it out. "M-Marriage?!"
The young boy's mind began to wander as he not only remembered the kiss between himself and Sailor Neptune, but he also began to imagine himself getting married to her. He could see himself walking down the stairs of the church, standing with Sailor Neptune as his friends and family congratulated him. The mere thought made Harusuke go so red; he was practically a tomato, and steam began to puff out of his ears.
"Hey there. You alright there, Harusuke?" Haruka asked. "You looking a bit embarrassed."
Harusuke immediately shook his head, getting the fantasy out of his head as he gulped down his whole drink. "I-It's nothing!" he stammered. "I just think that's a bit too strict, is all."
"I agree," said Unazuki. "I don't think I'm ready for marriage just yet."
"Either way, a first kiss is magical," Michiru said with a graceful smile. "You should cherish it always so that it can become an everlasting memory."
Haruka looked at Michiru and nodded in agreement. Then she looked at her watch and got up. "Well then, we'll see you guys around," she said. "Take care."
Usagi, Unazuki, and Harusuke watched as the two went on their way. Usagi and Unazuki sighed wistfully, while Harusuke's sigh was filled with relief to see them go.
"Harusuke and Michiru are so mature, aren't they?" said Usagi.
"And sophisticated," agreed Unazuki. "I sure hope I can be as mature as them someday."
Harusuke didn't say a word as he pretended not to see.
Unazuki then suddenly remembered. "Oh! By the way, you two, I have some delicious cupcakes at home," she said. "Why don't you two bring some friends to my place, and we'll share them?"
Harusuke was just about to object, but Usagi's eyes sparkled, and her mouth drooled at the mention of cake.
"Yeah! That sounds great!" the ordango blonde shouted. "We'll be there!"
"But Usagi-!" Harusuke began to protest.
"Great! Then I'll see both of you at my place!" Unazuki smiled cheerily. "I'm going to go back to work now! Bye!"
And Unazuki dashed away while Usagi was bubbling with excitement. "I can't wait! I can't wait! I can't wait!" she squealed.
Harusuke then poked her sister on the shoulder. "Um, Sis, I understand you're excited, but I don't think you need to scream it to the whole cafe that you're getting cake."
Usagi stopped and soon realized that everyone in the cafe was staring at them again, causing the ordango blonde's cheeks to turn pink with embarrassment.
"I need to learn self-control," Usagi mumbled quietly.
Harusuke could only pinch his nose with a sigh.
Haruka and Michiru had just left the building and were heading for home.
Haruka couldn't help but think about what they discussed with Usagi's group. "A first kiss, huh?" she mused to herself. "I can't help but think that those kids a bit too kiss crazy."
"I thought that their conversation was sweet," said Michiru. "It's too bad that we don't have the luxury to obsess with being in love right now."
"Yeah, and to make things worse, I'm afraid they're going to be put in danger," Haruka spoke grimly. "Pure, innocent, people like them are likely targets for the Daimons."
Michiru was now worried. "Now that I think about it, you're right, Haruka," she said. "They possess pure hearts, so we better keep an eye on them."
In the lab, Tomoe was preparing another Daimon Egg for use. He had just finished creating one and was tweaking around when Kaolinite appeared.
"Tomoe, have you prepared another Egg for me?" asked Kaolinite.
"Yes, I have Lady Kaolinite," said Tomoe. "Am I to assume that you've found another target?"
"Yes, I have," said Kaolinite. "I overheard a pure-hearted girl who dreams of having her first kiss."
"A first kiss, you say?" Tomoe asked. "That's something I haven't done in a while. Not that it matters."
Tomoe then held the Egg high in his hands, and it shot upwards, disappearing in the ceiling above, ready to find its next victim.
Unazuki was busily cleaning her apartment, ensuring that her place was neat when Usagi and her group came over. She had just finished vacuuming her rug using an elephant-shaped cleaner.
"There. That should do it," Unazuki said to herself, wiping her brow.
Then, her eyes fell upon something on her desk. It was a picture frame with a photo clip of herself and the boy she liked. As she looked at it, she couldn't help but wonder if waiting for the right time for her first kiss was the right thing to do.
"Maybe I'm just too particular," Unazuki said to herself.
As Unazuki stared at the picture thinking, she didn't notice that something flew through her open window, that something being the Daimon Egg. It hovered over to the vacuum and then attached itself to it, disappearing inside it. Then, the vacuum came to life, morphing and bending into a humanoid shape until a daimon stood in its place. The creature wore a metal corset with boots with tubs connecting her chest to her back. She had pale green skin and had a little extension cord coming out from behind. She also wore the elephant face of the device on top of her head.
Unazuki then turned around, and when she saw the Daimon, she let out a scream of terror.
"It's clean-up time!" the Daimon cackled as she held her hands over her chest. The small dial in the middle of her chest moved like a compartment revealing a black star tattoo in the middle of her chest. "Oosooji suction!"
The black star glowed and shot a beam straight into Unazuki's chest, taking the Pure Heart Crystal straight out of her, making the girl crumple to the floor. As Oosooji snatched the Pure Heart Crystal, she jumped through the window with a crash, making her escape to the next roof over.
"Yes! I did it!" Oosooji crowed triumphantly. "The pure heart crystal is mine!"
"Not for long, it isn't!" shouted a voice. "We won't let you have that!"
Oosooji looked up, and on the rooftop next to her were Sailors Uranus and Neptune.
"Answering the call from a new era, Sailor Uranus, here to fight with brilliance!" the Guardian of Wind and Earth proclaimed.
"And Sailor Neptune, here to do the same, but with elegance!" the Guardian of the Sea spoke.
"Like I care who you are!" Oosooji scoffed. "I'm the one who took this crystal, and it's staying with me!" She retracted her head, and a tube with an upholstery nozzle came out from it. "VACUUM CLEANING HURRICANE!"
A great and powerful stream of air exploded from the nozzle, forcing the two Guardians to dodge. Sailor Uranus then attacked.
"URANUS WORLD SHAKING!"
The Guardian's attack shot straight towards Oosooji, but rather than damage her, it knocked the Pure Heart right out of her hand. Seizing her chance, Sailor Uranus dove right for it, hoping to get her hands on it, only for Oosooji to use her nozzle not only to blow Uranus away but also the crystal as well. The crystal went flying over the rooftops as Oosooji chased after it with the Guardians in hot pursuit.
The Pure Heart Crystal continued to soar until gravity made it come down and land in a pickup truck, which happened to be coming down the street. But neither Ooosooji nor Uranus and Neptune didn't know this as it drove away out of sight. The three inspected the area, desperately trying to find the crystal, but they couldn't see it anywhere.
Around that time, Usagi and the gang had just arrived at Unazuki's apartment, unaware of what had transpired.
Usagi merrily rang the doorbell. "Unazuki! I've brought along some hungry friends!" the ordango blonde said.
"More like you're the hungry one," Harusuke sighed.
"Good grief," Luna complained. "All of you should be back home studying right now."
"Come on, take it easy, Luna. It'll be fine," said Minako. "And besides, Unazuki's made cupcakes."
Makoto sighed wistfully. "The boy who broke my heart used to have an apartment like this," she said with a giggle.
"And it doesn't matter where we study," said Ami, ignoring Makoto. "Just as long as we get some studying done."
Rei then looked across to Ami, noticing that she was carrying a big stack of books. "Um, Ami? Were you planning on studying at Unazuki's place?" she asked wryly.
"Of course," responded Ami. "Why shouldn't we?"
Then, everyone noticed Usagi, who throughout their conversation was ringing the doorbell persistently until she began to grow frustrated and was now ringing it furiously.
"Usagi!" everyone said to the ordango, wanting her to stop.
Usagi blushed in embarrassment. "Sorry about this," she said. "Maybe she's not back from her part-time job yet."
Then the ordango blonde pushed on the door, testing to see if it was open, only for it to swing open with a creak. Then Usagi and the group saw the shocking sight of Unazuki collapsed on the floor, unconscious. Usagi and the others quickly rushed over and looked her over.
"Unazuki!" cried Usagi. "What happened?!"
"Her Pure Heart Crystal is gone!" gasped Artemis.
"Then we have to find the Daimon that took it and get it back to her quickly!" said Minako. "Otherwise, Unazuki will -"
"I know," interrupted Usagi. "But where do we even begin to start looking? It could be anywhere!"
"Ami, can't you use your computer to see if you can trace it or something?" asked Harusuke.
"I can try," said Ami. "Give me a few seconds." The bluenette then took out her computer and typed a few things. "It's within a ten-kilometer radius to the north," she said. "Unfortunately, I can't pinpoint it closer than that."
"Then we've got no choice," said Rei. "We'll have to split up and search."
"Make sure you use your communicators as soon as you find anything," said Artemis.
Then something quite startling happened. Unazuki opened her eyes and slowly sat up like she was possessed, her eyes vacant and lifeless, much to the surprise of Usagi and the group. Then, Unazuki wrapped her arms around Harusuke and leaned in close, much to the shock of him, Usagi, and the others.
"Kiss me," Unazuki spoke in a robotic tone. "Want a kiss. Kiss me."
Harusuke yelped in surprise as he pushed the deranged Unazuki away. "H-Hey! Get back!" he cried. "I've heard of kissing as a sign of affection, but that's not the kind I'm looking for!"
Unazuki then pounced on Makoto, who was equally as frightened. "Get her off of me!" she cried with flushed cheeks. "This is getting way too weird for me!"
"Unazuki! Pull yourself together!" Usagi cried. "Didn't you say that you wanted to cherish your first kiss with the person you loved when the time and place were perfect?!"
"I don't care!" Unazuki spoke, seemingly ignoring Usagi's words. "I just want to kiss!"
"This is terrible!" Ami gasped. "Could it be that because of having her Pure Heart taken, Unuazuki's heart has now become impure?!"
"Wait - is that how it works?" Minako asked skeptically.
"I don't see any other explanations," Harusuke said. "No matter how outlandish it sounds."
Then, Rei took out an ofuda from her pocket and promptly slapped it on top of Unazuki's lips.
"EVIL SPIRIT, BE EXORCISED!"
Immediately, Unazuki's body froze as she fell onto the floor, not moving. Usagi and the others then helped Unazuki to her bed, lying her down.
"You guys go on and search for the crystal and bring it back!" said Rei. "I'll stay behind and keep an eye on Unazuki."
Usagi and the others then took off, leaving Rei alone with Unazuki to begin their search. Unfortunately, no sooner than they left, Unazuki started to write in agony, and much to Rei's horror, her skin began to turn pale.
"Please, hurry, everyone! You've got to find Unazuki's Pure Heart soon before it's too late!"
Usagi and the others hit the streets, searching high and low for the Pure Heart Crystal as well as the Daimon. But time was running out, and they had no idea where to look.
"Dang it all!" Usagi shrieked. "Where the heck else do we start looking?!"
"Calm down, Usagi!" Luna chided. "We've got to keep looking! Unazuki's counting on us!"
Then the two heard Ami on their communicators.
"Usagi! I've finally got an idea of where the Daimon is! It should be three kilometers from your current position! Everyone head over there now!"
"I'm on my way, Ami!" acknowledged Usagi.
The ordango blonde was just about to take off running when Mamoru pulled up on his motorcycle.
"Usako, I heard about Unazuki from the others," Mamoru. "You need a lift?"
"Thanks, Mamo!" Usagi smiled. "You're a lifesaver!"
Usagi and Mamoru soon sped down the streets, heading towards the pinpointed location. They soon came to the docks, where a massive junkyard was beside the sea. Upon seeing the junkyard, Usagi and Luna couldn't help but sound distraught as well as dumbfounded.
"You've got to be kidding me!" Usagi cried. "If this is where the Pure Heart Crystal is, how the heck are we supposed to find it?!"
The answer came in the form of a timely explosion that left a massive tornado of wind in its wake. Then, Oosooji, along with Sailor Uranus and Neptune, jumped into view, Oosooji revealing to have found the Pure Heart Crystal that was clenched tightly in her hand.
"There's the Daimon!" Usagi cried.
"And she's holding a Pure Heart Crystal!" gasped Luna. "That has to be Unazuki's!"
"Usako! You have to transform!" urged Mamoru. "And hurry!"
Usagi quickly jumped off the motorcycle, took off her helmet, and took out her Cosmic Heart Compact.
"MOON COSMIC POWER MAKE UP!"
Transformation Sequence: Usagi
Usagi's Cosmic Heart Compact opens, revealing the pink heart-shaped crystal inside, waving her hand over it. It flashes twice and erupts in pink light. Usagi is now standing in the middle of a light blue heart that's spinning to the right. She stands one leg while holding up her arms and begins pirouetting in the opposite direction, going faster until, in a burst of light, pink ribbons envelop her torso and midsection, transforming into her leotard. She elegantly stretches out her arms, and pink ribbons cover them, forming into her gloves. She then raised her right foot high with incredible flexibility, and pink ribbons cloak it changing into her boots. The heart made of blue light then turns into a circle of sparkles swirling around her waist, forming her skirt and bow. Now no longer in light, Usagi spins around a couple of times like a ballerina and takes a slight bow. As she comes out from her bow, a crescent moon mark glows in the middle of her forehead. Then, a tiara appears bearing a gold symbol of the Moon, along with her earrings, choker, and her ordango covers. Finally, Usagi opens her eyes, her transformation now complete, and strikes her signature pose.
Sailor Uranus, Sailor Neptune, and Oosooji were locked in a two against one fight for the Pure Heart Crystal, neither side giving in an inch.
"You two are harder to get rid of than carpet stains!" complained Oosooji.
"Hand over the crystal quietly!" ordered Sailor Uranus.
"No way! It beings to me now!" Oosooji denied. "If you want it so badly, then come take it from me!"
"That's not going to happen!" shouted a voice. "I won't let anyone take that Pure Heart Crystal, no matter who they are!"
The three then looked up, and standing on top of a tower of junk, standing in front of the setting sun, was Sailor Moon.
"That pure heart belongs to a girl who dreamed of her first kiss with a wonderful boy, and I won't allow anyone to steal that away from her!" she proclaimed. "I am the Pretty Guardian who fights for love and justice! I am Sailor Moon! And now, in the name of the Moon, I'll punish you!"
"Oh, great! Another dust mite for me to clean up!" groaned Oosooji. "And I can't stand dust mites!"
Oosooji then grabbed her extension cord, twirling it around like a whip, and threw it straight at Sailor Moon. The Guardian of the Moon leaped up to dodge, but Oosooji quickly followed up with her Vacuum Hurricane, blowing Sailor Moon away and making her hit the dirt. Sailor Uranus and Neptune tried to seize this opportunity, but Oosooji fired an array of dust bags from a compartment in her midsection that exploded on contact, repelling them. However, the two Guardians didn't stop fighting as they engaged with Oosooji once more.
As she lay there on the ground bruised, Sailor Moon felt completely outclassed as she helplessly watched the fight. She felt hopeless, but then she remembered Unazuki, and she felt her courage and determination return.
"I have to save Unazuki!" Sailor Moon told herself. "And her dream! No matter what!"
Oosooji then aimed her nozzle straight at the Guardians preparing to go for the kill, but then, a single rose shot out and pierced her right on her helmet. At the same time, a golden globe of energy knocked the Pure Heart Crystal out of her hand.
"Someone with a filthy heart will never possess a pure heart!" said a familiar voice.
"Yeah! So return the crystal at once and then dump yourself with the rest of this scrap heap!" said another.
Sailor Moon looked up and saw two figures standing on another tower of scrap and was overjoyed.
"Tuxedo Mask! Solaris!" Sailor Moon cried. "Thank you!"
Oosooji growled and fired another hurricane blast at the two, but they immediately dodged by jumping out of the way.
"Sailor Moon! Take it out the Daimon now!" Solaris yelled.
"Show this creature the power of justice!" Tuxedo Mask also shouted.
Sailor Moon summoned her Spiral Heart Moon Rod and began gathering power as she twirled it around while spinning.
"MOON SPIRAL HEART ATTACK!"
The Guardian struck her pose while holding her rod up high, unleashing a powerful heart-shaped blast of energy. The attack crashed right into Oosooji, defeating her instantly, reverting to Unazuki's vacuum cleaner. The Daimon Egg popped out, crumbling into pieces as it let out a dying puff of black smoke.
With the Daimon gone, Sailor Moon suddenly remembered. "That's right! I've got to get the Pure Heart Crystal!" she cried.
Sailor Moon quickly rushed towards the tower and started to climb to get it, when suddenly, Sailor Uranus appeared behind her, and before Sailor Moon could react, the Guardian of wind had her in a headlock, squeezing tightly.
"We're taking that Pure Heart Crystal!" Sailor Uranus spoke.
"Hey! You let her go!" Solaris yelled as he rushed over to help.
But before he could, Sailor Neptune barred his way, intercepting him with a punch to his chest that made him stagger. Tuxedo Mask then leaped into the fray as he tried to get the crystal, but Sailor Uranus threw Sailor Moon away and jumped up, cutting Tuxedo Mask off, preventing him as the crystal fell to the ground.
"What do you think you're doing?!" Sailor Moon cried. "If you don't let us take that back, Unazuki will die!"
"We realize there'll be casualties!" Sailor Uranus spoke grimly. "None of you understand what's at stake!"
"It's our mission!" added Sailor Neptune. "And we have to complete it at any cost, whether we like it or not!"
"Even at the cost of killing someone?!" Solaris demanded. "There's no way we're going to let that happen!"
Solaris then tried to kick Sailor Neptune, but then she jumped up and, using Solaris as a springboard, jumped forward and scooped up the crystal in her hand. But then, she gasped, her eyes widening in surprise and dismay.
"This... isn't the one we're looking for either! It's nothing more but a pure heart crystal like the others!"
Sailor Uranus was shocked too. Then, seizing her chance, Sailor Moon quickly rushed over to Sailor Neptune and snatched the crystal away from her, holding it tightly in her chest.
"You will never take this crystal!" Sailor Moon spoke defiantly. "It's not yours, and it's too pure to take!"
There was a long silence. Then, Sailor Uranus and Neptune took off, disappearing into the sky above. Solaris and Tuxedo Mask then went over to Sailor Moon.
"Are you okay, Sis?" asked Solaris.
"I'm fine," replied Sailor Moon. "And so is Unazuki's pure heart."
"I do wonder what all that was about," said Tuxedo Mask. "I've never seen them act that way before. And what's this mission they're talking about?"
Neither Sailor Moon nor Solaris knew. Then they heard voices in the distance.
"Sailor Moon! Sailor Moon!"
Those voices turned out to be the other Guardians who had just arrived on the scene.
"Sorry we're late!" panted Sailor Venus. "Did you find it?"
"Yes, we did," Sailor Moon smiled proudly. "Now, let's get this crystal back to Unazuki!"
It wasn't too long before Usagi, and the others returned to Unazuki's apartment. Usagi had the honor of putting the crystal back to where it belonged. When she did, Unazuki's skin returned to its natural color, and she began to breathe normally again.
"Thank goodness! She's finally back to normal!" Usagi sighed with relief.
"That's good," smiled Makoto. "At least she won't be going around kissing anyone and everyone anymore."
"I'll say," agreed Minako. "A kiss should be reserved for the person you love, right?"
"That's right! Which reminds me of something," Usagi said importantly. "In the olden times of Italy, if a boy and a girl got seen kissing, they were forced into marriage. That was the rule for everyone, no ifs, ands, or buts! That's how precious a kiss was."
"That's pretty interesting, Usagi," smirked Rei. "Of course, you would know all about the history of kissing because you've kissed before, isn't that right?"
Usagi flinched and didn't say a word. Harusuke, on the other hand, began thinking about his kiss with Sailor Neptune once again, and while he was still embarrassed about it, at the same time, he couldn't help but feel a mix of longing and sadness.
"A first kiss, huh?" Harusuke mumbled to himself. "Too bad I lost mine to a random girl I don't know."
"Harusuke, did you say something?" asked Minako, his mumbling catching her attention. "Something about a kiss?"
Harusuke immediately tensed up as he looked across to the girls. All of which were looking at him. Trying to keep his composure, he cleared his throat and looked away, his cheeks heating up.
"I-It's nothing," Harusuke stammered. "Just thinking that I agree with a kiss being precious is all."
"Hold on. Harusuke, your cheeks are red," Makoto pointed out. "What's the matter with you?"
"I'm fine!" Harusuke squeaked. "And I'm not blushing either! I'm just - tired!"
"I don't know. You sure seem like you're blushing to me," Rei said. "You sure you ain't embarrassed about this whole kissing thing, or did something happen?"
"I told you I'm not blushing, and nothing happened!" Harusuke squeaked. "Now, can we please change the subject?!"
"Speaking of subjects, what do you say we get our study session started?" asked Ami, carrying her books. "Now that things are as they should be, we've got plenty of time on our hands to cover the material on our basic subjects."
"What?!" everyone cried as they gawked at Ami.
"Are you kidding me?!" Rei squawked. "You seriously want us to study after the day we just had?!"
"Yeah, besides, we're busy interrogating Harusuke, so I'm sure we can put that aside!" Minako said.
"Now, wait a minute! Who said anything about interrogating?!" Harusuke yelled. "I told you I wasn't blushing, so drop it already!"
While everyone else began to quarrel, Usagi snuck outside and joined Mamoru on the balcony, who was staring into the night sky.
"Whew. What a day this has been," Mamoru sighed. "Is Unazuki back to normal?"
"Yup, as well as her dream of a first kiss," Usagi smiled. "I got to admit, being able to protect Unazuki's pure heart made me happy. But then again, you helped too, Mamo."
Then, as Usagi looked over to Mamoru, she could see that he was staring at her, her eyes twinkling slightly. The ordango blonde felt her heart skip a beat, knowing what Mamoru was going to do. She closed her eyes and stood on her tip-toes, and Mamoru leaned in about to kiss her. However, before their lips touched, Usagi stopped, causing Mamoru's eyes to open in confusion.
"Hold on a second. There's something I'm wondering about, Mamo," Usagi said. "Do you - remember our first kiss?"
Mamoru flinched as his cheeks turned bright red. "I'm sorry, but - I'm afraid I don't," he said with a bit of guilt.
Usagi was surprised. "What?! Are you sure?! Come on! You've got to remember! Think back!"
"It's not that big a deal," Mamoru fumbled. "I mean, we've kissed plenty of times, right?"
"But that's ridiculous! A first kiss should be precious!" objected Usagi. "Therefore, you should remember no matter how long ago it was!"
Mamoru tried to dodge the subject. "Oh, look, Usako! See how beautiful the Moon is?"
But Usagi was not having it as she continued to lecture Mamoru about forgetting their first kiss.
Back in the junkyard, Sailor Neptune and Sailor Uranus stood alone, staring off into the distance on a rooftop.
"I wonder if that girl who dreamed of her first kiss will be alright?" wondered Sailor Neptune.
"I'm sure that she's fine," said Sailor Uranus. "Sailor Moon and her troupe will make sure of that."
"And you know what?" Sailor Neptune went on. "In a way, I'm glad that her pure heart crystal wasn't a talisman."
Sailor Uranus was shocked and appalled. "Do you realize what you're saying, Neptune?!" she snapped. "We have to find those talismans no matter the cost!"
"Yes, I know," Sailor Neptune said as she gazed back up the moonlit sky. "That was the mission we were assigned, and we're going to complete it, no matter the cost or sacrifice."
