Hey guys, Well here we are. Kalias is about to have her baby. I don't own Draco, Drake, Master Kwan. I do own Kalias, Colt, Kelei and her baby. Now enjoy and be sure to review below.
The potion takes effect and lessens the pains in my midsection. Kelei comes over to me and rubs my head.
Kalias, I have helped deliver many babies in my homeland. Please allow me to assist in bringing your child into the world," Kelei says as she holds my hand as another pain passes but not as bad as the others.
"Yes! Colt please help me too," I cry out and feel the baby moving.
He comes over and holds my other hand as I lean against Drake. He purrs to help soothe me and I'm happy to say it was working. Several hours pass as I breath deep breathes. Every time a contraction hits, I push more.
"Ok I see the head. Just a few more pushes Kalias," Kelei tells me as she has a basin of water on stand by and a blanket.
"You can do it Kalias. Listen to my heart," Drake suggests to me and it helps calm me down more. I gather my strength to push some more.
"Just one more push, it's nearly there," Kelei says as she holds the baby and then as I push once more, the chambers are filled with baby crying. I sighs in relief as the whole ordeal is finally over now.
"What is it," Colt asks with curiosity.
"It's...a girl Sir Colt," Kelei smiles happily as suhe cleans our new daughter up. Then she ties off and severs the umbilical cord before swaddling her with a nappy and a blanket before handing her to me.
"She is so beautiful," I cry as I hold her to me, "Hello my sweet baby. I'm your mother you little star. And this is your father and your uncle Drake."
"Hello little baby," Drake coos to her.
Then my daughter starts opening her eyes. They are blue like mine but she has a tiny tuft of hair like her father's. She looks at Colt and at Drake and me with wonder. Then she coughs and sneezes a bit too.
"Bless you," Colt chuckles and brushes her little cheek," What should we name her?"
"How about Laia," I suggest and kisses her head.
"Laia. It's perfect," Colt smiles at her and then turns so Kelei could clean me up in privacy," I'll go get the pram for her to sleep in."
"But I don't want to let go of her," I say as Laia yawns and lays her head on my chest, "Please Colt? Just come back to bed with us? We can put her in the pram tomorrow."
"Alright my love."
"You're all cleaned up. I'll let you get some sleep," Kelei says as she helps redress me and heads for the stairs, "Sleep well every one."
[Dream Sequence]
As I fall asleep with my newborn daughter, my mind drifts off to the stars. I see the stars of the constellation Draco coming together and Father appears before me again.
"Papa! I am so happy to see you again. I am so exhausted," I tell him as I hug him.
"I can imagine. Bringing new life into the world isn't easy. But I watched and tried to lend you some strength to endure it. You should be very proud," He says as he strokes my back," I know you will be a great mother to Laia."
"I just wish you were really here to hold her, sing to her and be a part of her life like you were for me," I cry a bit.
"I am a part of her life. Because of the stories you'll tell her about me. And like how I am visiting you, I will also be in her dreams as well. And she will have her Uncle Drake in her life too."
"That's true. But now, I won't be much use to him while I recover. I have other mothers take several weeks of bedrest before going back to their duties when I deliver their children."
"The other mothers can't heal themselves like you can. And if you will let me, I can aid in the healing process as well."
"Wait papa, you can't share your heart with me from Dragon heaven, can you?"
"No. I have no physical body anymore but I can still help, " He says and with a glowing paw, puts it across my midsection. A warm feeling flows through me like I had just drank a nice cup of tea. I have to close my eyes as the glow gets brighter and brighter. Then I start feeling more and more relaxed as my legs give out and papa catches me.
"I'll remember that papa. Master Kwan said something about testing his heart. Will he be ok?"
"Yes he will be fine. Kelei passed the test many years ago. Now no more questions for tonight. Rest now my little one."
"Ha ha I'm not...little anymore," I sigh as I curl up in his paw.
"You are to me my beloved daughter," He chuckles and starts singing. His voice soothes away any lingering pain and worry in my body and mind. For once in a while, I have a moment of peace.
