Hey guys, as a treat I thought I would submit another chapter this week. I always intended to submit this right behind Chapter 15. And now I have. Well now we can see what kind of training Kalias and Drake are going to do.

Disclaimer time I don't own Geoff, Master Kwan, Lin, Drake or Mansel. Universal does. I do own Kalias, Kelei, Colt and Laia. Now enjoy and be sure to leave me a review how you enjoyed it.

It doesn't take us long to find Master Kwan, Lin and Kelei in the field. All three of them are standing in a row and doing a series of slow movements in sync.

"Hello," I greet them, "What are you doing?"

"Tai-chi. It allows us to find peace to start our day and gives us focus," Master Kwan explains to us, "Would you like to join us?"

"Oh, I don't know. Can it really help you focus?"

"Why don't you try it out Kalias," Geoff suggests, " Maybe it might help with those powers of yours."

"Ok, I'll give it a try," I strug and set my bow and arrows to the side. Then I take my place next to Kelei and watch. As Master Kwan starts again, I try to follow along. I take deep calming breaths.

"That's good. Deep breath in, deep breath out," Master Kwan says and lifts his right arm up with his palm turned up, "Feel the energy flow from the top of your head, down your arms and to the tips of your toes. You are still as a mountain, but you move like a river."

"Still as a mountain, but move like a river," I repeat.

"And balance is key to this as well," Kelei says as she balances herself on one leg with her hand together in praying fashion.

I try to follow her by balancing but I can't quite get it. She smiles and pats my leg to get me to try something else. After 20 minutes, I do feel more peaceful. Master Kwan bows to us and I do so in response.

"Now that you're calm, we can work on your powers," Master Kwan says to me.

"And Kelei and I can help you and Colt get started on your lessons Geoff," Lin says and walks away a bit from us.

"Good morning, all," Mansel greets us.

"Mansel what are you doing here," Geoff asks him in annoyance.

"I came to help keep an eye on Drake, but I don't see him."

"We haven't seen him this morning. I think that book last night gave him the idea to hunt for himself last night," Colt says as he hands Laia to him, " But you can help us by watching her."

"Certainly," Mansel says as he takes her and smiles at her, " Hello little one."

Laia coos at him and Mansel stands to the side to let us work. Master Kwan sets up a couple of targets in the distance and then comes back to me.

"Now, before we start on your powers, I believe we should have you re-learn your archery. This will help you with your accuracy later." He says to me.

"Makes sense to me," I say and get my bow and arrows. Then I smile at Laia and kiss her head.

As I notch an arrow, a flashback runs in my head. Suddenly, I can see Papa opening his chest plate for me again and I drop the arrow. Colt comes over and rubs my back.

"Ok, this is it. I have no reason to feel guilty. Papa wanted to be set free and that's exactly what I did," I think to myself, "Now take a deep breathe like Papa used to tell me to focus on the target."

"I'm ok now Colt. You can go back to the others," I say as I look their way in time to see Lin flip Geoff onto his back, " Ha ha ha."

"Ok if you need me, I'll be over there," Colt chuckles and goes back over there.

As I take a deep breath, that old feeling comes back to my body. I exhale as I release the arrow. It whistles through the air before hitting the second ring on the target. I groan a bit because I'm rusty. I notched a second arrow and let it fly. This time it hits the second ring on the other side.

"You're still tense," Master Kwan notes as he looks at my posture, "This time relax your shoulders a bit more and focus on where you want the arrow to go."

"Ok." I do as he suggests and loosen the muscles in my shoulder and concentrate on the bull's eye. As I draw the arrow a familiar tug pulls in my stomach and I feel like I am back by our river cave. Papa is right there watching my movements. Then the arrow flies from my hand like a falcon and hits the target right in the middle, "Yes! I did it!"

"Very good. I want you to remember that feeling. Now one more time."

As I fire arrow after arrow, I can feel my guilt leaving me a bit at a time. Before long, I run out of arrows and have to go get them. I rub the soreness out of my shoulder for a moment as I collect them. Laia starts fussing and crying for me. Kelei comes over to soothe her.

"I got her," I say as I take her from Mansel and feel her nappy, "Huh dry. Not stinky. What's wrong starlight?"

Then she lets out a loud burp and smiles. I chuckle a bit and put her back in her carrier. As I get a drink of water, I watch Lin flipping Geoff on his back every time he goes to attack her. And my love Colt gets the same treatment from Kelei.

"Well not bad for your first lesson. Now attack me again," Lin says and stands in front.

"When exactly do I get to throw you," Geoff complains as he readjusts his tunic and then grunts when Colt rolls into him.

"You're getting better too Colt," Kelei notes and helps him up, "It only took four seconds to end up on the ground instead of two."

"Thanks. Sorry Geoff."

"Hey Geoff guys! Sorry I'm late," Drake says as he lands near us and then burps out loud, "Oh excuse me."

"Eww cow breath," Geoff groans and waves a hand in front of his face.

"Wait, cow?! Drake did you hunt a cow," I exclaim.

"Yeah, just like the dragon in the book. It was delicious, although it had a bell on it that fell off."

"A bell?! Ohh," I groan and cover my face, "Drake that cow belonged to someone! When I said you could hunt for your meals now, I didn't mean for livestock! Papa always hunted deer or boars. Well, ok there was that time he ate some sheep and maybe some pigs but please PLEASE promise me you won't eat anymore cows."

"Ok I promise. I'm sorry. I didn't know."

"Thank you. Since you're here and you seem to have flying mastered, Kwan you can start teaching him the other things now."

"What are you going to teach me first?"

"Teach him to breathe fire," Geoff suggests.

"No! Fire is dangerous," Mansel protests and then backs away when Geoff tries to attack Lin from behind and she elbows him and he gets tossed onto his back.

"Ah stop being such a monk Mansel," Geoff groans as he gets up, "How does he breathe fire?"

"Well Papa used to be able to shoot it through his nose. In fact, that's how he cooked Bowen kill the first time we met," I chuckle at the memory, "But maybe others had a different way of breathing fire."

"To breath fire, you need to fill your fire lung with air. Concentrate on breathing air through your nose and exhale through your mouth. It will sound like this," Master Kwan inhales like he's snoring and then exhales through his mouth, "You try."

Drake starts taking a deep breath and smoke comes leaking from his mouth. He coughs and covers his mouth like he's going to throw up. And I start to get a bad feeling.

"Something's wrong," Geoff says as he takes a step back.

"Everyone get down," Master Kwan tells us, "Drake turn that way so you won't hit the mill and let it all out!"

I duck and cover Laia. Mansel, Geoff and Kelei do the same next to us. Colt covers me as Drake does what Master Kwan says. Unfortunately, when Drake blows out, he farts, and a fire ball comes out his butt over our heads. And it hits the mill anyway and sends the workers running and screaming away as it blows up. The explosion scares Laia and she starts crying and screaming too. Colt gets up and winces as he sees the damage to the field and the mill and then tries to calm Laia down.

"Oh no," Drake groans and his face is as red as a tomato. Then he runs and flies off.

"Drake," I call out and moan as I try to calm Laia too, " Shh shh it's ok Starlight. I know that was scary. It scared Mama and Dada too. Master Kwan, I need to go after him. I think we're done with lessons for today. Colt can you take her for me please?"

"Sure. Go. Oh, it's ok Laia. Don't cry," He says as he pats her back and rocks her.

"Thank you! Drake! Drake come back," I yell as I chase him.

"Kalias, I'm coming with you," Kelei says as she matches my speed, "I think I can help him."

"Well, alright. Oh, he's going into the forest! We can't lose him!"

"We won't. I promise. I can smell him nearby. And I can hear water rushing. He's heading for a river!"

I don't know how to process that information, but I follow her anyway. And we find him sitting in the water in relief and then he comes out and covers his face.

"Drake?" I calmly say to him.

"Oh, go away Kalias. I don't want to see anyone," Drake groans and then cries, "It came out my butt! That was so embarrassing!"

"Drake come on. You're not the first dragon to make mistakes your first time breathing fire," Kelei says as she comes over and strokes his head.

"You're just saying that."

"No, I'm not. My first time was a disaster too."

"Come again," I look at her in surprise.

"What was that" Drake asks as he looks up with shiny eyes.

"I might as well show you but I'm not ready to reveal this to your husband, Geoff or Mansel. Kwan and Lin already about this," Kelei says and backs up from ways away from us.

Then a purple aura shines around her as she starts to change. First her hair turns white, then she grows out light gray horns on her head. Her skin grows in size and her arms and legs elongate with dark purple scales covering her. A massive tail grows out from her butt with white hair growing from her head down her spine to along her tail. The end of her tail has a white fan on the end similar to how Drake and Papa had a blade. She has a lean body with light purple scales plates like Drake's over her chest and underbelly. The same hair that is one her head grows on her elbows and on her wrists and ankles. Finally, she opens her eyes to show the color is now bright turquoise color.

"Ta da," Kelei grins and reveals a row of bright white fangs to us as she presents herself to us.
