Smutty ~ Super super long (unusually long bc this sets the tone for the story)
(other chaps won't be this long, but I might be able to get a chapter out tonight. I won't have the chance to update properly after that until at least Monday next week, possibly even Tuesday)
Looking back on it, Adora was incredibly stupid… and foolish… and stupid. To celebrate the initial defeat of the Horde, and buy themselves at least a few weeks before the Horde tried to attack again, Queen Angella had insisted on a celebratory party. To "boost morale after a tough time" she'd claimed with an innocent grin. Adora called bullshit but didn't have the balls to say so. Glimmer thoroughly agreed with her, not that Adora would've suspected anything different, stating they needed the boost after Entrapta's team switch.
Adora grimaced at that, cringing into her shoulder.
The party had been awesome, even by Adora's inexperienced eyes. To thank her for her service Angella had a gown tailored for Adora. It was a beautiful white, the same colour as She-Ra's outfit, with a red ribbon and red sleeves... the same colour as her beloved jacket. Glimmer had tried to force something called high heels, but Adora threatened to snap the heel off and stab her with it.
Bow snorted as he removed his cummerbund.
The party went well: not only did Adora make about nine dozen new friends (though the traitorous thoughts said they were She-Ra's friends, not Adora's) but she also tried something called alcohol. Initially, she hated it and spat it back into the glass. But as the evening wore on, and her feet began to ache a little, she steadily tried more and more and more until she was somewhere around her tenth glass. Angella, the main reason the party was even happening, retreated to bed several hours ago. Perfuma was on bathroom duty, her words, helping any inebriated princesses successfully not vomit in their hair or on their gowns.
Adora got to chatting with another woman. And a man, actually, but her sights were drawn to the very attractive woman… It may have just been the alcohol, but Adora had never really liked men. Not in the "I wanna rip your clothes off and fuck you till you see stars" kind of way. Not like she did women.
Not that she'd had experience in that. The Horde strictly forbade same-sex relationships. Their reasoning? The army will grow as you do with age. You can only do that when you have a child. Women and men only. No same-sex partnerships, otherwise you will be lashed.
People still had same-sex relationships, but only those who'd already had kids for the Horde. Once you'd had two, the attention moved to some other poor person. Adora was glad she got out before that rule applied to her.
But anyway, the women. Hot as hell. Adora hadn't seen her before. "I'm a shopkeeper in Alerwine," Rey, the girl, said with a small blush. Adora, long gone on alcohol, found a new her: a confident her. She leaned against the wall, being somewhat mindful of her cape, drinking some more punch. Rey was only a year older than her. Her beautiful red locks cascaded down her back in curly waves, finishing somewhere around her hips. Adora found her gaze drawn to her pointed ears. "I like your ears," She smiled. Rey flushed, her eyes raking across Adora's form. "I like your muscles," She retorted.
At some point, Adora realised they'd all drank way too much. She couldn't really remember at which point the last of her soberness left, but she thinks it was somewhen around the time when Sea-Hawk passed out in the bushes and Bow vomited by Mermista's feet. Obviously, being the best friend that she was, Adora very nearly wet herself laughing at them both. Bow, evidently, wasn't the best at holding his alcohol. Sea-Hawk had been in a drinking contest with the lead guard, and general, Juliet, who could very much hold her own, long before the others arrived. At some point, the girl Adora was flirting with left to go to the bathroom, so Adora sat next to Glimmer, smiling widely at the lovelorn gaze she directed at the archer.
Adora tried to elbow her softly but missed and fell backwards off the bench, wheezing with laughter. Glimmer tried to help her up, but fell as well. "You should go for it!" Adora slurred slightly. "You'll regret it if-if you don't," She whisper shouted. Glimmer tutted as she swayed where she sat. "Ugh! Fine!" Glimmer exclaimed, struggling to pull herself upright on the bench. "I'll do it!" Adora stayed lying on the ground, watching the moon shine brightly above. A sudden sharp pain on her arm had her roll over with a whine. "I'm not go-going on my own!" Glimmer slurred slightly. "Jesus, fine,"
The two Princesses stumbled over to where Bow was chatting with one of his brothers, Adora shoving Glimmer in front. "Go on!" She hissed, poking her shoulder. She subtly fell against the wall, waiting. Glimmer waved shyly. Her eyes shot to the younger historian brother, embroiled in an argument with one of his sisters, then to Adora. Thankfully, her drunk-addled brain understood enough. "Hey, Bow?" She broached. Glimmer's eyes widened frantically. "Could I be a pain?" She continued. Bow was slightly more sober than his company, so he smiled. "Sure. What's up?" Adora gestured to Glimmer. "Glim, bless her soul, is too drunk and shy to ask for more alcohol. Could you?" Bow narrowed his eyes slightly. "Do you not think you've had enough? I saw you fall earlier,"
Adora raised her brow. Neteyam nodded with a sigh. "Fine. Ok. You coming Glim?" Adora kicked her shin, pointing harshly at Bow's waiting form. She skipped (read - stumbled) off happily. Adora found herself thinking against the wall. She scanned each of the heads in the grand hall, desperately seeking out a certain red-headed lady.
At some point, Bow and Glimmer returned, chatting happily… rather, drunk, no filter Glimmer was chatting and Bow was listening with the occasional word thrown in. Slightly disappointed that the red-head had obviously gone home, Adora made her way into the garden. She sat on the bench, taking in the nice moon that night.
Tomorrow, she'd have to be back on her game, ready to take anything the Horde dished out… and Catra.
Catra.
That girl made her feel so many different things.
Before she left the Horde, Adora didn't even know that many emotions existed.
Anger, rage, upset, fury, disappointment, fear, love, hatred, yearning...
Some time passed before Adora felt sober enough to begin the walk to her room. It was clear Rey wasn't coming back. Around halfway back to her bedroom, a trip that usually would've taken ten minutes from the beach now verged on sixteen thanks to her stumbling, she felt a presence by her side. "You're beyond wasted," Rey said. Adora hummed. "Probably. Looking at the ceiling helps me not spin," She frowned. "Helps to not spin," No… "The world doesn't move," She finally said. Rey chuckled. "I'll walk you back," She said.
"You don't know where my room is," Adora mumbled, feeling strange in her presence. "Fine. I'll follow you. That way, if you fall, I can catch you," She said. Adora looked away, biting on her lip to combat the blush. They walked in silence, with Rey occasionally grabbing her arm to stop her fall or warning her to look out for a fallen drunk. She pushed the door of her bedroom and walked in. She lit a candle that Angella had given her to help brighten the room a little. When she turned back to remove her party accessories, she bumped into Rey's chest. She stumbled slightly, with her hand reaching to grasp Adora's forearm. They stayed like that, close and silent, for a while. She felt her body begin to grow hot.
Taking her drunk form as cover, Adora reached forward and kissed her. Rey froze briefly before kissing back. Adora moved her hand to Rey's chest to balance herself. Rey's hand rested on her waist. For some reason, this felt completely normal, as if she wasn't a complete and utter stranger. Rey kissed more forcefully. Adora pushed back, not breaking the kiss.
Rey pushed her against the wall. One hand rested just above her shoulder, and the other wrapped around her waist. She kissed Adora roughly, but she fought back, engulfed by a sudden primal lust. Rey's hands roamed her back and hers in her hair... her fluffy, soft hair. She broke the kiss briefly to slide off the shoulder covers of her dress and pressed her mouth to Rey's.
Rey broke away from the kiss, hurriedly shedding her dress. Adora ripped her arms out of her dress, allowing the loose-fitting form to fall in a puddle at her feet. Naked as the day they were born, the girls attacked their lips once more. Adora felt Rey's hands wrap around her waist and she jumped, wrapping her legs around her hips.
Rey readjusted her arms, one tightly clutched around her chest, the other wrapped around her waist. Rey pulled away from the wall and carried her over to the table, pushing all the papers and books off, loudly smacking against the ground. One hand remained supporting her body. The sheer strength she possessed made her more hungry for… whatever Rey was doing. Adora could feel her hot breath on her neck. Within a second, her lips were back on hers, hungrily kissing. She gently put her on the table without breaking the fight for dominance.
She couldn't help the grin. "What're you smiling about?" Rey asked against her teeth. Adora shook her head, "Doesn't matter," She answered breathlessly. Rey leaned over her, her body in between her legs, one arm holding steady just by her hip, her hand softly resting on her waist. Rey's lips were soon on hers, kissing her furiously. She ran her hands through her hair and moaned as she sucked on her neck. Rey began kissing down her body, reaching her belly button. Adora couldn't help but groan as her legs wrapped tightly around Rey's waist. She threw her head back, panting, as she reached her hips.
As she came down from her high, Adora panted heavily against the wall. Rey fell back against her knees, gently lowering Adora's previously risen legs back to the ground. She took slow breaths, shaking her head. "Oh my god," She panted. Rey slowly stood back up, handing Adora the long soiled knickers. The blonde took it with a glare. "Thanks. Thanks so much for these," She tossed them into the corner of the room, near the laundry basket. The redhead snorted. "You weren't complaining thirty seconds ago," She reminded. Adora clicked her tongue as she stood up.
"Neither were you," She said, beginning to stumble to the bathroom. "Where're you going?" Rey asked. Adora raised a brow, gesturing to her shiny legs. "Showering? I can't exactly go to bed like this, can I?" She leaned against the door frame. "Plus, I have a meeting tomorrow morning," Her eyes fluttered slightly as the lustrous feeling gave way to the euphoric drunk. Rey hummed from the table. "I mean, you could," She teased. Adora rolled her eyes. "They're already gonna be hungover as dogs, I'm not gonna go in smelling like fresh you," Rey snorted. "I happen to like that smell,"
Adora rolled her eyes again, grabbing the door frame for stability as her vision blurred with drunkenness. "You would," She giggled. Once in the bathroom, an unfamiliar, nearly painful, ache for… whatever she'd just had, made itself known with a bang. Adora winced as she leaned back, poking out her head. "You coming for a shower? Or am I on my own?"
Rey snorted. "Am I that good?" She pushed off the table nonetheless. "If that's what I need to say to get that again, then yes,"
