It was another boring old day for the planet of Alternia. With the events of SGRUB never taking place, it was the same thing daily. That was until a loud alarm sounded from outside Terezi's treehouse.
"Alert, alert! We have an invader! Meet me at my tree urgently!" she messaged everybody, causing a loud beeping sound from everybody's computers.
Karkat slammed his keyboard to the ground after getting woken from his slumber. He sighed and picked up his keyboard, growling.
"THIS BETTER BE WORTH IT! I'M NOT SUPPOSED TO BE AWAKE FOR A FEW MORE HOURS! YOU KNOW THAT ASSHOLE!" he typed out into the chat with extreme dissatisfaction. He then shut his husktop off and went outside, running over to Terezi's treehouse. Unsurprisingly, he was the first one to arrive.
"So what's the big deal? It's not like they could hurt us. We're heavily armed." he screamed at her. Terezi placed her finger over Karkat's mouth, signaling him to shut up.
"Even with us being armed, we need to be prepared!" she said to him. Karkat rolls his eyes, annoyed.
During all of their bickering, more trolls showed up. Kanaya, Sollux, and Aradia. Sollux looked over at them, starting to get annoyed.
"So, are you going to tell us what's going on or are you just going to argue with KK all day?" he asked.
"I'm getting there, okay? Karkat was the one that started the fucking argument anyway, jeez!" she responded, turning towards Karkat.
"Okay, let's just get this over with already," Aradia said, ignoring the argument. Kanaya nodded, agreeing with Aradia.
"I believe it would be best to not waste any more time with this nonsense argument," she responded in her monotone voice.
Karkat dropped the argument temporarily, though still dissatisfied. It didn't take much longer for more of the gang to show up at the location. Gamzee, Feferi, Vriska, Equius, Nepeta, and Tavros to be specific.
"So, what's going on?" Tavros asked, sounding worried as always.
Terezi looked over the crowd, assuming everyone was there judging by the scents of everybody's blood colors.
"I'll tell you all everything I know," she said, holding several poorly drawn documents. She laid them all out on the ground below her tree, showing them to the others.
Nepeta began pawing at the documents curiously.
"What does all of this mean?" the cat troll asked curiously. Terezi began sniffing the documents, catching onto the different color scents.
"Earlier this morning, I caught the scent of somebody new. Somebody who isn't from here," she responded.
"Wait, somebody new? How is that even possible?" Vriska asked, confused. Feferi nodded toward Vriska in agreement.
"Vriska is right. Nobody has entered or exited our planet in several sweeps," she pointed out.
"I don't know that part. All I know is that this creature is not from here. It doesn't look even remotely like us," Terezi responded.
"Well, I think it just has to do with motherfucking miracles," Gamzee said with a smile, honking one of his horns. To nobody's surprise, this aggravated the annoyed Karkat even more.
"GAMZEE, I'M GONNA SHOVE THAT FUCKING THING UP YOUR ASS IF YOU DON'T STOP HONKING IT!" he screamed, sick of his shit. Equius turned towards Karkat, not pleased with his language.
"Karkat, don't be rude towards our highblood," he said, not wanting to sound rude.
Terezi sighed with annoyance.
"Guys, this is serious. Can y'all please stop with your arguing for five minutes at least?" she asked in an aggravated tone.
Karkat shut up, not wanting to cause more trouble. Terezi nodded, pleased with the silence.
"Now, we need to make a plan to get rid of this thing if it turns out to be a threat," she proclaimed. The others nodded in agreement.
"So, does anybody have any ideas?" Sollux asked curiously. Vriska smirked, attempting to speak. Sollux cut her off immediately, however.
"Any that don't involve murder?" he asked once again. Vriska turned away, displeased. Everyone started whispering to each other, trying to think of a plan.
"We should figure out its weakness and lure it out that way," Kanaya suggested. Terezi nodded in approval.
"That would work perfectly. But how would we figure that out?" she asked, looking towards the others.
"I'm telling y'all, murder is the best option here," Vriska said with a smirk. Terezi looked away from her, ignoring her stupid request. Nepeta came up with an idea.
"We should spy on it and take as many notes as pawsibile," she exclaimed. Equius nodded in approval.
"That sounds perfect," he responded. Terezi smiled, agreeing with it.
"Okay, then that just leaves finding out its current location so we can follow it," she said excitedly. Aradia started looking around for clues.
"Eridan would be great at doing this. he's great at tracking others down," she exclaimed. Gamzee nodded in agreement.
"Speaking of Eridan, where is he?" he asked, looking around. Feferi shrugged.
"Now that you mention him, I don't think I've heard anything from him ever since we broke away from our moirail status," she responded, starting to worry. Terezi sighed.
"He's been completely inactive on Trollian lately too. I wonder where that asshole is," she said, sniffing around trying to find any trace of violet scent. Karkat mumbled some cuss words to himself but didn't say them out loud.
"As far as I know, he's been completely offline for months," Tavros announced, starting to worry. Sollux nodded in agreement with Tavros.
"Knowing him, he could be doing anything," he said. Terezi sighed, knowing that Eridan most likely wouldn't show up.
"We'll just have to figure our way around it without him then. We can't wait forever," she said, obviously not very happy about such an important member being missing.
The others nodded and started looking for any signs of the supposed threat. Nepeta began to walk on all fours across the ground, sniffing around for any signs of fresh blood from whatever it was. She then froze in her tracks after finding something suspicious. Pieces of blonde fur that she has never seen before.
"Guys, I think I found something worth looking at," she said, picking up the pieces off the ground. She gives them to Terezi for her to examine.
Terezi took a quick whiff of it and nodded.
"Yep, that's the exact scent I caught onto this morning," she said to the others, signaling them to follow Nepeta.
"The trail goes this way!" she exclaimed, following the trail of fur. The others began to follow Nepeta, leading up to the edge of the land and where the ocean began.
"Damnit, the threat must have gotten away already! I wanted to stab its lights out!" Vriska said, irritated. The others sighed at Vriska's remark, knowing she would say that. Nepeta got another idea.
"Vriska, go on your ship and search from there. Feferi, check underwater. Aradia, check the sky. Leave no place unchecked," she said.
The three trolls nodded and went their separate ways, all looking for whatever the source of the fur was. They were going to solve this, no matter what it took.
