Feferi lept into the water, swimming around while Aradia flew up. Vriska hopped onto her ship, signaling for the others to join her.
"Hurry up, you guys! We can't wait around forever," she said to them. They cautiously climbed up, careful not to mess up Vriska's stuff.
"I don't exactly trust this is safe, knowing you," Tavros said nervously.
Vriska sighed, ignoring his remark. She began sailing her ship around the ocean, looking for anything suspicious. She nodded at Aradia and Feferi, signaling for them to continue.
Feferi dove down further before suddenly coming to a stop. She gasped and quickly came back up, looking terrified.
"Guys, I found something!" she screamed nervously. Terezi turned her full attention towards Feferi curiously.
"What is it?" she asked. Feferi dove back down with her special tablet, taking photos before coming back up.
"It looks like someone's blood!" she said, showing the photos to the others. Terezi sniffed at the photos, nodding.
"Yeah, that's definitely blood. Candy red at that," she exclaimed. The others gasped, terrified.
"So there is an invader here?" Sollux asked, starting to worry. Terezi nodded.
"Yep, just as I suspected," she said. Karkat began to panic, checking himself for wounds.
"OH FUCK!" he screamed, causing everyone to turn towards him.
"Dude, are you okay?" Kanaya asked him, trying to comfort him. Karkat sighed and nodded.
"Yeah, just a false alarm," he explained. Kanaya let out a sigh of relief, turning back to Terezi.
"So, how do we catch the intruder?" she asked curiously. Terezi looked toward everybody.
"We follow her path, as planned," she explained.
Vriska continued to sail her ship, following the path of red blood. However, Vriska brought the ship to a stop after noticing something peculiar.
"Um, I don't think this was there before," she said, pointing to a large creature moving in the ocean.
Feferi dove down, wanting to investigate. She cautiously approached it, but it moved away quickly.
"Hey, come back!" she screamed, chasing after it. The creature looked towards her, continuing to swim away.
"Fuck off!" it screeched with a feminine voice.
Feferi grabbed her tablet from her deck and recorded a video of the creature to show the others. It has long, blonde hair and a long, fluffy tail with two matching blonde-colored ears on top of its head. After getting the video, she came out of the ocean and handed the tablet to Vriska.
Vriska played the video curiously, watching the creature's every move in the video. After she finished, she gave it to the others so they could view it. Nepeta looked at it in awe.
"I've never seen anything like this befure," she said nervously.
"Well, if it's underwater, that means only Feferi and Eridan are capable 0f following it, right?" Aradia asked, making sure she heard correctly. Terezi nodded.
"Yeah, but we don't know where Eridan is," she reminded them. Feferi went to go underwater again, but the creature swam up to her instead.
"What the hell do you want? I don't even know who you are!" it screamed. Feferi jumped back, shivering.
"It can talk?" Equius asked, looking at it. The creature growled.
"Of course, I'm not an idiot!" it responded angrily.
"Woah, easy there," Gamzee said, leaning over to pet it. It growled, attempting to bite his hand.
"I don't accept head pats from strangers," it said, looking into the ocean. Feferi looked at it, examining carefully.
"So, where are you from?" she asked curiously. The creature turned away.
"Not from here, that's for sure," she said, staring into the ocean.
Feferi continued to watch in awe.
"Do you like the ocean?" she asked. The creature nodded.
"I ran away from home and washed up here somehow," it explained. Nepeta walked towards it with caution.
"Aw, you poor little thing," she said, reaching for a handshake. The creature sighed, giving in.
"Just call me Brenya. I'm a female wolf," it explained. Nepeta nodded.
"That's purrty. I'm Nepeta," she responded. Brenya giggled slightly, still hesitant.
"So you like cat puns, huh?" she asked her. Nepeta nodded, meowing adorably.
Brenya slowly began to smile, looking at her surroundings. Nepeta pulled her up onto the ship to meet the others. Aradia gave a welcoming smile to her.
"Hey, I'm Aradia Megido," she said. The others introduced themselves in similar ways. Brenya nodded.
"Nice to meet all of you, I suppose," she responded. She sighed, messing with her hair.
"Is something wrong?" Sollux asked her, starting to worry. Brenya shook her head no and sighed.
"No, it's just that I have nowhere to go now," she frowned. Kanaya laid her head down on Brenya's shoulder.
"You can stay with me and I can be your mother for the time being," she exclaimed. Brenya thought about it for a moment before agreeing to the terms.
"Okay, deal," she finally replied. Kanaya smiled a little, touching Brenya's hair.
"You will fit in perfectly at my hive," she said happily. After a few moments of bonding, a very annoyed Vriska chimed in.
"Um, hello? What about the other situation?" she asked, crossing her arms. Terezi's attention immediately went toward Vriska.
"Oh shit, the Eridan situation!" she screamed. Nepeta covered Brenya's ears, whimpering.
"Hey, not so loud," she said. Terezi quickly apologized but immediately turned back to Vriska.
"If only one of us can swim, how is it even possible to find him? Brenya looked over at Kanaya.
"I can help if you need me to," she proclaimed.
Kanaya nodded, letting her go. She signaled to Feferi, and they both took off into the ocean.
The minute Brenya's paws touched the water, she began to swim. Her tail helped her propel herself through the rough ocean waves. Feferi looked over at her in awe before snapping out of it.
"Okay, I'll check the deep parts. You check the shallow waters," she said before swimming off.
"Damnit, Brenya, you don't even know what the fuck you're looking for. Stop getting yourself into this shit," she mumbled to herself.
As she was swimming around, a glimpse of something shiny caught her eye. Being a dumbass, she decided it would be a good idea to swim toward it. As she got nearer, she was able to recognize the shiny object. It was a violet amethyst necklace.
"What is this doing here?" she asked herself as she picked it up. As she put it on, she heard a voice.
"Give that back," it said aggressively. Brenya stepped back a little, fluffing up her fur due to fear.
"W-who's there?" she asked nervously. The voice became louder as a silhouette became visible.
"You're gonna regret this," it said as it disappeared. Brenya sighed, looking around.
"Must just be my mind fucking with me," she thought.
As soon as she turned to leave and go back to searching, something swam up quickly toward her. She tried to swim away, but she wasn't fast enough. It pinned her to the ground, growling. She could see it more clearly now, as it was right on top of her, staring her dead in her eyes. It had long, black hair that looked like it needed cutting. It would cover up the creature's eyes. That is, without the ponytail.
"Who are you?" she said, trying not to scream. It continued to pin her angrily.
"I'm a troll too, dumbass," it responded aggressively. It picked Brenya up, dragging her away.
She tried to scream, but the ocean muffled her cries. Nobody would ever hear her.
