After the flower ordeal, Bastiana did everything possible to focus solely on her job, but her mind just kept spinning. When four finally rolled around, she was eager to escape the building and run home, except it wasn't that simple. She had to go about her life like nothing was wrong. There was a slight panic in the back of her mind like she was being watched, but she didn't dare look around the main lobby to see where it was coming from. She dreaded the idea of meeting his eyes in the crowd. Unknown to Bastiana, if she did take a look around, the only eyes she'd find locked onto her belonged to Katrina. She stood near the her desk of watching her mother in law and boss wait patiently for Jessica.

Katrina sighs leaned back to her chair , she was desperately trying to complete the stacks of neglected paperwork on her desk, yet she couldn't seem to focus. Not to mention that she barely understood half of what she was supposed to do to complete them. Usually, some secretary assisted her with the various reports. By assistance she really meant completed them entirely.

Amy walks in the office, her quiet steps loud enough to have Katrina looking up. She has a file in her hands, plump with whatever is held within. Katrina's eyes land on it, and her heart drops. Abruptly, it gets impossibly more silent.

He's just so stubborn, you know? He doesn't fucking listen to anyone about anything, even if someone is trying to help him."

Katrina internally rolls her eyes, though she keeps her face perfectly blank. She has no idea what it is that Travis isn't accepting help with, and honestly, she isn't entirely sure if Travis is in the right for refusing to listen. Sometimes, Amy's offerings for solutions aren't all that great.

But Amy doesn't say any of that.

"You are the one who got married to him," Katrina says softly, nodding seriously. "He is your problem now."

"What are you talking about?"Amy asks with a frown. "I am talking about Tony!"

Katrina is almost too afraid to ask, almost, but she asks anyway. "What?"

Amy's eyes are shining as she swallows the lump that has lodged itself in her throat and tries again. "Katrina?" Her voice is shaking.

Katrina doesn't speak for a moment, just stares at her sister in law in silence. Amy doesn't know what she sees written in on her onw face expression, but Katrina eventually whispers,"Where is he?"

Amy took in a controlled breath, feeling as though she was being stifled by her own subconscious. She couldn't ever quite. She swallowed, her response spoken just above a whisper.

Walking out of her office ,Katrina felt anger rise inside of her.

During the rush Katrina didn't look where he was going and ended up colliding with someone. Angry and annoyed looked at the person and start talking.

"Hey! Watch where you're.."The words died as Katrina noticed the presence who stood in front of her.

Bastiana stiffened as Katrina' eyes wide. There was fear there. Not the fear of a teenager caught sneaking out of the house past midnight, but the genuine terror of a man at the wrong end of a blade.

"Katrina!"

Katrina takes a deep breath. She can do this. She can totally do this. She stands straighter, schools her features into a look of determination and faced her mother in law.

The distance between them, these last few steps suddenly seemed like too much and to both her and Katrina's surprise, Bastiana bridged it by dragging her up against her, crushing her into a hug. Katrina froze for a second before sagging against her, clutching her back just as hard.

Katrina melted into Bastiana's hug. If there was one superpower that Bastiana Wolf had, it was giving mother touch. And Katrina's family had never been one to demonstrate affection, especially physical affection. It had taken her a while to get used to it, but Bastiana had basically adopted her as well. Not that Katriba's mom Natalie was out the picture or anything. Katrina had a better relationship with her now that they were both adults, it was just a completely different relationship to the one she had with Bastiana.

"I don't understand. What is —"

"No," Bastiana cut her off quickly. There was a deafening silence after that. Katrina was sure the both of them had stopped breathing. She could hear a clock ticking, the gentle, distant hum of traffic five stories down, never heard except for moments like this, moments that felt out of time and out of place.

"I an the once who can't understand what is going " She trailed off with a shaky sigh.

The smirk on Bastiana Wolf's face was nothing short of wicked

Reaching for it, the young blonde ran towards the direction of the elevator, a file in hand and pissed as hell, ready to show her dear husband what happens when you mess with Katrina Mother-Fucking Wolf.

"Tony doesn't stand a chance," Bastiana said with a smile as she watched her go before turning back to her office.

She wasn't aware of her son and daughter in law problems but she wasn't stupid to not noticed the tension between them. How often Katrina is looking at her phine waiting for a call , the call. The call what will make you to loose your mind and whole world, the call with that stoic voice telling you that someone you love is dead.

"How many times did I do it!"She thought, but she'd never say the words.

She was desperately thinking of somehow she cab help , but couldn't find her selft to do it. It was time to let then grow up and fry away from her arms, it as difficult for Bastiana to remain in shadows while her siblings and their families were growing and get some matters in their hands and take full responsibilities of their actions.

But was tired to put them first all the time. Put their needs and wishes above hers, and destroy herself in the progress but not anymore

Suddenly, her phone started to vibrate she sees Gibbs's name flash across the screen and she flushes as was going to break it to him that she couldn't come over tonight. She racked her brain for an excuse. Then decided against it after listening to Gibbs talk about how excited he was and what he planned on cooking. Bastiana didn't have the heart to lie to him and not show. After all, the clock was ticking.

Something was wrong with her.

The paranoia was returning. It coiled in her brain like a serpent, waiting to strike. She downed her water in one swallow.

She walks her officr and stopped dead in trace when she spot Gibbs across the room to stand in front of her and waited.

"Hello, Jethro," she said, once it was clear that she wasn't about to initiate any kind of conversation.

Finally, he met her eyes. "Bastiana," he said. He was a study in neutrality, his face and posture neither hostile nor inviting. He watches her tries to pour herself a drink with hands shaking so bad they feel volatile.

"Why are you here?"

"Your voice had sounded off in the call"Jethro says softly and concern when she spotted the whisky the woman was nursing

"It's difficult day." Bastiana added, trying to apologize without saying it. Gibbs nodded at her, smiling a bit now. As if encouraging her to continue.

By God what could she say? She could tell Jethor about him, how handsome and funny he was. How he always understood her until the one time he didn't. How he thought he and her were going to change the world together, and be together. How he killed and and turned her into a cell. How she found her darkness.

Gibbs stood silently for a moment, thinking.

"You have something to do?" She stopped what she was doing and turned to stare deep into his dark eyes.

"You don't have a case or something?"

His lips parted slightly, pondering the question. Did she want to spent some time with him? Of course. "No." He replied. Only an idiot would speak the truth in the moment like this. He couldn't lose her. Not now. Not ever. Medea let out the breath she was holding, her eyes darted away from his gaze, to the files on the desk, and onto the floor. Her heart raced in her chest as he took two steps forward. "U have a better idea of how I would spend my time!"

"Where are we going?" Bastiana giggled as Gibbs kept a hold of her hand, pulling her along.

Jethro and Bastia a walked out of the office with the arm of the man around Bastiana's waist. Both of them with a big smile over their faces. Amy held her hand out and Mike placed fifty dollars bills in it before she slid it inti her pocket and left to go talk to them.

''What time is my next appointment?''Bastiana asked and as Amy nodded, she shook her head.

''I reschedule your appointments for tomorrow morning.''

"You are amazing Amy!".

Amy almost laughed.

"Have fun"

Go for a walk Jethro said. It would be fun Jethro said.

Bastiana wasn't aware of why she had agreed to go out with him. Maybe is was the second B bastard Gibbs told her she had to go out and maybe because Gibbs' company was pleasant, even if it was limited.

But instead of being enjoying this moment, she found hershelf arguing with Amy on the phone for some documents of a case.

"What do you mean the assistant lost the files?"

Bastiana saw red for a long second, squeezing the phone so hard in her hand, he was surprised it didn't crack. She was going to find this assistant, and then she was going to kill him.

"You can't kill him, Bastiana. It's not like people won't notice if the boy goes missing."

It was scary how well Amy knew her. "I have to go."

"Okay. Call me later. I mean it. I'll worry.

She felt a hand on her shoulder and flinched. A low voice whispered against her ear, "Hello gorgeous."

She looked back over her shoulder and smiled, relieved.

"Calm down Wolf," Charles Forstman's smooth voice said close to her ear, "I just wanted to tell you that your arse looks fantastic in that pants and I recognize your from it."

She turned to face him "I'm glad you approve." His eyes dropped to her chest and she laughed, "So not just my arse then?"

"Shit Wolf. If you weren't already-" his eyes darted over my shoulder and Bastiana knew that Gibbs was watching their exchange with interest.

"This your bodyguard?" He asked Bastiana with the quirk of his lips. "I'm surprised you haven't lost him by now."

Their eyes made contact they bust into an uncontrollable peal of laughter while he leaned in close to her,

All the while, unbeknownst to Bastiana, Gibbs was quietly seething, the sight of Bastiana laughing with the man making a wave of unwanted emotions rise up and churn in his gut.

A surge of irrational irritation sweeps through him and Gibbs can feel his mouth twisting into anuncontrollable sneer. If Gibbs didn't know himself better, he'd swear he was jealous.

Their tones were playful, and it almost sounded like flirting. Gibbs gave a low growl that turned into an agitated meow.

Gibbs watches with narrowed eyes as Bastiana hurries toward him, his gaze flicking between Badtiana and the man still watching her walk away. Scratch that - watching Bastiana's ass walk away. Ignoring the ache in his heart and the boiling in his blood at the thought of men all over Bastiana. He was just being overprotective, Bastiana is his best friend and frankly, he thinks Bastiana being seduced by men will stunt all the growth he has gone through.

"You okay there, Jethro??"

"W-what? Oh, yeah."

"Mhmm," Bastiana looked unconvinced."Let go!"

Halfway through, they linked their hands together, both too happy to be embarrassed by it. Both of them were unware of how the other felt, and that led to a newfound comfort between the two of them.

The sun had started to set, and the sky seemed to bleed orange and yellow. It was beautiful.

"In the case, there are sunsets like that every night," Gibbs told Bastiana.

"You'd think you would be tired of it by now... but tonight, it seems much more beautiful."

They continued to walk, and Gibbs took off his jacket and gave it to Bastiana as the temperature began to drop with the darkening sky.

Walking near her Gibbs could feel her warm of her body against his.

Bastiana asent electricity through his veins with every emotion he expressed. She made Gibbs feel things, experience them. It terrified him in a way that nothing else in the world ever had before. His questions were answered when Bastiana had hug him for first time ever. There was so much more than just blood flowing through him at that moment. There was no barrier between him and her the way there had been between Gibbs and everybody else he had ever met. He didn't want to hold the lawyer at arms length, he wanted Bastiana flush against his own body and to never let her go.

Gibbs had always prided himself on his ability to remain professional in the face of difficult situations, but handling himself around Bastiana was always a challenge. There was something so wild about the woman that made the Agent want to control her. She always looked to him the most for challege, always waiting patiently for a fight.

She was...

Bastiana Wolf was everything he wanted, but he was so fucking difficult and unattainable. Bastiana Wolf was a challenge.

He had never had a single challenge in his life.

She made Gibbs's world tilt off its axis. It made him stumble and feel fuzzy around the edges in a way that alcohol only ever had before. And 's presence came with an added warmth that he had let himself think was unobtainable. Bastiana was chaos and mess where Gibbs was stoic and strich.

Gibbs looked into Bastiana's eyes for the first time.

He carefully laid down his heart, his guard, his shield, his pride, and bared himself the way he had never done before, not in front of Ducky, not in front of Fornell; only Bastiana.

Naked, like he was looking at the mirror, inspecting scars marked all over his skin, one by one, searching for every secret and craziness underneath.

And he didn't need anyone to tell him to.

They stayed out for another twenty minutes before deciding to call if a night. Instead of apparating home, they opted to walking seeing as Bastiana never got out much. She had yet to witness the beauty of New York City in the night time. Gibbs made sure she was home safe, left her with a goodnight kiss on her cheek, then apparated to his own place.

"Wait- Bastiana!" Gibbd called out as she started up the steps leading to the door. She stopped walking, and trailed back down the steps toward him.

"Dear God"He thought. He would never get tired of the sight of her illuminated by the sunlight, of how ethereal she looked.

She lifted her head, looking up at the hunter with wide eyes

"Yes?"

"Did you find..."Gibbs hesitant to ask."The flowers. Who sent it?"

Bastiana stares in disbelief because honestly Gibbs asks her about it. She blinks at his for a moment before her eyes narrow.

Gibbs noticed the woman's nervousness and tried to understand why she was acting this way but when he heard her voice there was no trace of nervousness.

"No"

He watched her walk away and waited until the door closed before his brain was completely haywire, trying to process the words that Bastiana had said to him. Gibbs was sure his heart had stopped beating. Those words echoed around his head and, for a moment, he was frozen.

Bastiana had lied to him. She was lying to him.

She never lied to him.

She decided to make a pot of tea to relax her nerves and prepare for bed. The mug slipped from her grasp, crashing to the floor, as her eyes landed on the desk. Placed on it's bare wood was a gold band.

The same band she had left behind in Gotham on the dining room table in what was once the home they shared. The same band that had spent many years resting upon her delicate finger.

Her old life in Gotham was catching up to her.

Bastiana thought of him often. It had been hard to walk away from him. She had fallen hard and fast, but he had made his thoughts clear to her. There had been many times where she had been tempted to contact him just to hear his voice. But she knew she had to be strong. So she made sure to block anything that had to do with Him.

At the midnight, Tony sat at the bar tapping his fingers on the sides of his glass. Some bars far away from the heart of Manhattan and on occasion he'd wander into non fancy places when he didn't feel like being recognized. He'd never get extremely drunk, he liked to people watch to pass the time.

"Hey," comes a light sultry voice on her left. Tony looks over to see an attractive woman, brunette hair, "Can I get you a drink?"

"I have one." Tony states, motioning to the drink in gis hand and then taking a sip.

"I see," The woman replies but she doesn't leave, instead he sits on the stool beside him much to Tony's annoyance, "What are you doing after this?"

"Going home," Tony mumbles in a bored tone, taking a sudden interest in the scorpion pins on his cuffs, polishing them off.

"Want some company?" She pours leaning over towards him.

Tony looks over to her. "No, thank you. "

The woman shrugs her shoulders, "Well if you ever change your mind, you know where I am." She smirks at him and sends him a wink as she slides from her chair and saunters off.

Tony was used to meetings like that. Often women would hit on him at bars and sometimes even men. he used to like it when he was alone, he didn't have many close friends so the attention was nice.

He was half-drunk waiting for his target. The mission was simple enough. Go in, meet, get information, leave. One, two, three, four, five. It was something that he had done thousands of times in the past, and he was confident enough in her abilities that he didn't consider the possibility of the mission being compromised. Well, that wasn't entirely the truth. He was used to someone from a rivaling agent, an enemy of some kind trying to foil the mission, but he was good at what he did. Meaning that anyone who tried to stop his mission wound up dead. So if anyone tried to bother him tonight, he knew that he'd be able to handle it without batting an eyelash.

Both of them

He ordered another glass of whiskey when a voice said."Still addicted to whiskey, I see." The husky voice had hin reaching for his gun at the same time he spun around to face a concerned-looking face of Kate Beckett, NYPD Captain in charge of the 12th Precinct.

She looked at him skeptically. "Tony."

"Yeah." The man nodded and widened his grin.

"You look like crap," Kate retorted, brutally honest as ever.

He grinned easily instead of getting insulted. "I missed you, too, darling''

"Your charms is not work on me!"

There might've been a shadow of a grin on Tony' lips for a moment but it disappeared quickly under the weight of the concern he couldn't hide.''What you got for me!''

"Absolutely nothing for you"Kate stated, and carefully watched Tont's face to see his reaction. Instead of what Kate was expecting, a resigned recognition, confusion flashed over his face.

"You gotta be kidding me!"

Kate gave him an apologetic look and Tony sighed.

"It's not the first time that someone try to kill me!"Tony mused, "I have a lot of pprple who threated kill me but as a Dinozzo."

"I remember!" Kate let out a tired, huffed laugh."CCPD, Russian mob, Italian mob.''

''The Santinis, Cobblepot, Madame Rolisha, Fox River Penitentiary, Falzone and his crew and a few unimportant people in Chicago." Tony responded. He paused for a moment before covering his face with a groan.

"Oh my god Tony, how can you even walk out the door without being shot?"Kate asked in confusion looking around.

" I want to kill him."

Kate winced watching Tony eyes quickly became focused and dark. "Whoever is this person I will find him and then I'm going to kill him, Kate." It never was and never would be a matter of if he found the man. It was when. If it took his whole life, Tony would hunt down and kill this person. He could only hope, pray, that he didn't reach Tony and his family first.

Kate looked up grinning, "You know that as a member of NYPD I should object to you making casual deaths threats."

Tony smirked, "I'll even let you put me in handcuffs."

Kate smirked and let herself enjoy the visual but in truth she needed it to be the other way around. "Kinky but your plan A is to find he person who is behind those threats and stop him. What happen if..?"

"Do you honestly believe that I don't have a plan B? And if that fails, a plan C? And a plan D you know how the alphabet works, don't you?."

They stood in tense silence for what felt like forever, Kate's glare never lessened in its intensity. The silence was interrupted by throat clearing.

They looked up to see Katrina Wolf standing in front of them.

You didn't tell her did you Tony." Kate said disapprovingly seeing the annoyance in Katrina's face

"Tell me what?" Katrina asked.

Poor Tony looked like a deer caught in the headlights so Kate took pity on him.

"Nothing you need worry about." She told Katrina. "I need to leave I have a case.."

Before Tony could object Kate walked away from them.

"I'm really starting to believe you actually do have a mental affliction," Katrina muttered wearily, rubbing her forehead.

But there's no point. Tony isn't the enemy. She's not there to hurt Tony. She can't blame the man's simple protective mode and, even though the effort is phenomenal, Katrina forces hweself to relax. She lets out a steadying breath as she unclenches her fists, splaying them out on her knees.

"I have nightmares"Tony admits. He feels Katrina stiffen beside him. They're close enough, shoulders a hairsbreadth apart."Every time I close my eyes, the only thing I see is your dead eyes looks through my soul. It fucking terrifying to feel hopeless and I don't like it"

Despite his attempts to relax. He knows it's because he's waiting for Katrina to judge him, waiting for Katrina to punish him for the horrible things he's done in the past and this is somewhow the payback It's painful, and his jaw nearly cracks with the tensions as he waits.

"I'm sorry," Katrina says, and all the tension rushes from Tony in a sudden wave. "I'm sorry you ever had to feel that way, Tony. And you have me acting like a lunatic."

I'm sorry" he whispered, "I thought I was doing what was right for you… the idea of you getting hurt terrifies me and I panicked… I thought not being with me would be best, especially after what happened with mom!"

Tony unconsciously grabbed Katrina's hand. She turned her head saw that and blushed, he saw that and started to slip his hand out of her but she grabbed on and held it for dear life.

She may have looked stoic on the outside but inside Katrina was terrified. She was terrified that this would happen once she got back no matter how hard she tried to prevent this. She needed comfort and holding on to Tony's hand was like a lifeline.

The couple take a step back, turns to go as Tony reached his hand into is pocket, retrieving his phone.

Tony's frown deepened and his brow furrowed, but it was no longer out of frustrationson.

"Special Agent Wolf speaking." He greeted as he raised an eyebrow at Katrina, amused as her eyes narrowed at him.

A rough chuckle came from the other end, causing Tony's other eyebrow to raise in confusion."Special Agent, Wolf? My my, you go by your real name."The sound of the gruff voice instantly wiped the smirk off Tony's face, causing Katrina to grow curious. She watched with surprise as his normally bright eyes grew dark with hostile anger, his jaw clenching tight, indicating he was gritting his teeth harshly. His hold on the phone tightened to where the plastic item was in near danger of breaking, his knuckles turned white.

"How did you get this number?" The sound of utter contempt in his voice caused Katrina to blink at him with great surprise. She had never heard nor seen Tony so infuriatingly bitter and feral.

Another chuckle answered him."Do you really want to be asking me that, Ant? Or perhaps, something else?"

A low growl came from the back of Tony's throat. "Listen, you son of a bit-"

"Language, Ant, language."A put upon sigh followed the other's words."Oh well, can't ask for miracles, I suppose. I just wanted to check in on you and let you know I'm in town . . . and that I'm not leaving anytime soon."A full out laugh echoed through Tony's ear, making the young Agent shake with barely controlled anger."See you soon, Ant."There was a soft click before the line went dead.

Walking into their home Katrina grabbed him by the arm, stopping him before he could work himself into some kind of panic. "Sit," she ordered, pointing at the couch. "Breathe. I'm getting the scotch."

"I can't drink scotch," Tony protested weakly, watching as Katrina headed into the kitchen." We have work tomorrow.."

"You can and you will," Katrina said, returning from the kitchen with two glasses and a very nice bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue that Harvey Specter had given her "Now sit." Tony sat, obediently, and Katrina poured them both a generous two fingers, handing one to Tony before sitting down next to her on the couch. "And now, tell me what you're freaking out about."

Tony took a sip of whiskey and made a face. "I am not freaking out," he muttered, and when Katrina just gave him a look, he sighed. "Ok, fine, maybe a little." He tossed back his glass of scotch like it was a shot and held it out to Katrina for a refill.

Katrina thought she honestly deserved a medal for choosing not to comment on her husband drinking $150 scotch like it was well tequila.

"Before become a agent , I got a case in Baltimore ...Tony said, sounding only slightly calmer than before. "At that time a new drug had come out on the market, good quality and exactly. Because of this, the police department received almost daily more than 14 calls about a body being dumped in a garbage can or in an abandoned house.."

He sounded almost terrified at the thought and Katrina took a large sip of her own whiskey before answering."Its part of your job!"

"Part of my job , not part of my life."Tony said calmly, and Katrina choked on the sip of scotch she had just taken, her eyes wide."Those parts were suppose to stay at work , not follow me to our house and be around our son!"

Katrina took another sip of scotch, watching as Tony fiddled nervously with his glass. Evidently, this little pep talk hadn't quite done the trick, and Katrina sat up straighter and leaned in toward Tony. "Whatever it is we are going to face it together..."

" As always, "Tomy said calmly, before making a face." "Through some tests that the lab had run, we learned that this drug had substances that could only be found in hospitals, and some of them were not given to patients unless there was a good reason..."

"Let me guess!"Katrina pretended to think she added to me with a pang of enthusiasm."A doctor"

"A nurse"Tony favored her with a calculating look. "To be more specific she was the of the head of the cartel!"

Content, Katrina leaned closer."Was?"

"She is dead!"

Tony suddenly broke down, his body shaking as he sobbed"I killed her"

Katrina's eyes suddenly losing a few shades of color.
