Warning: Mentioning of mental abuse and suicide.
Sex scene on the end.
One year later, 2013
Velvet woke up in her hideout. She did the basics: Taking a bath at the old bathtub of the church, Animus give a visual boost on Susan's body (as in skincare and moisturize it) and sustain her basic needs like nourishment, hydration and refreshment.
Peter made an actual suit for her now. It has the design that Animus made when it prevented a major outburst of Velvet in the past year, although without the symbiote like patterns. He crafted this suit with a built-in communicator, GPS with Oscorp's database and even a bunch of new features both Symbiote and Spider couldn't really understand at first, but they tried their best. At least it had a camera now, so no rookie mistakes, again...
He did this suit so he could pay for his mistake, but also because he was concerned with Susan. She's been too upset, too unhappy lately. Barely protecting the city and sometimes not even showing up at all. The small interviews he gave were awkward because they asked about Spider-Man's sister but he had nothing to say other than "she is having some personal issues".
Mary Jane also had her own questions. She studied interviews for her work and inquired on how Velvet reacted to the event. When Peter explained what transpired, she understood a small fraction of the problem. Black Cat caressing her chin might be a trigger. Something that awakened bad memories, but since Velvet didn't really talk about her past, they couldn't say for sure. Maybe abuse? She did say her parents were the least of her concerns.
But nothing would top what Peter saw when he delivered the suit.
He arrived at the church in the Bronx, but he could feel that he was the only welcomed here. The lack of animals, even squirrels made it uncannily weird, but also... Comforting? Peter entered the structure and almost gasped at how Spidery it is. A bunch of webs on the walls with actual spiders in it, cocoons of what he hoped were not corpses and a chair, no, a throne in the center of it all. But Velvet greeted him from above, slowly descending in a web. And of course, in her underwear. At this point he was calloused enough to look at her like this and not blush.
Not too much at least.
"You look like a queen. A very scary spider queen.", Peter said, still mesmerized by the scenery.
"That's not the idea but thanks, I guess?", She said/asked in gratitude/confusion.
"What are those like guys?", He said, pointing at the spiders.
"Oh, I breed them out if my blood.", She said finally touching the ground. Her voice carried no weight in it.
"You... What? Do you mean you are their mother?", He asked in disbelief.
"If you ignore the technicalities, yes. I hope you don't get freaked out by my little family, they need to hang around, y'know?", She joked, which almost blue screened Peter.
"That... Is a LOT to take in."
"I know.", She didn't.
"How does that work and why did you decide to breed spiders?", He asked, his curiosity overriding his confusion.
"I will only answer the why. If we see someone worthy to be a Spider-Man, we can use one of these boys and girls to give them our powers. The more the better, right?", Susan explained.
Of course she wouldn't say that Norman was trying to replicate their powers. Thankfully Animus did his job and made the spiders actually safe and peaceful. They would only bite if Susan allowed it, thanks to her blood being used on them.
"...You say that as if we are an army recruiting people.", Peter looked warely at her.
"As long as they aren't the next broody Rambo on steroids, I guess we are safe."
Both of them chuckle for a while.
"I'm glad you look better. You sounded so... hurt.", He changed the subject, but Susan quickly switched her tone.
"I don't want to talk about that."
Peter wanted so bad to understand her, but he didn't want to make Velvet feel uncomfortable.
"That's fine. I just wanted to give you this."
He left the box and left before she could protest.
He could only hope the gift would cheer her up.
Peter was making a tour with Otto on Oscorp. Octavius Industries, being a branch of Oscorp still needed to make a few protocols to actually accept Peter working for the scientist, even as his protege. One of these was to get acquainted with the staff of Oscorp, do some papers and prepare some samples for a research in order to make yourself worthy of such authorization.
"And this is Dr. Curt Connors. He is doing research on the regenerative properties of the reptiles.", Otto presented the man.
"Nice to meet you, Mr. Parker. I've heard great things about you.", Connors extended his non-existent arm to Peter who fell for the joke.
Peter, realizing this Tok late, apologizes, "Oh, sorry, I-I didn't..."
"Oh relax Peter, he does this to everyone.", Otto muses.
"On the future this will not be a problem. That is if I do my research correctly."
Both Scientist and Student left Curt to do his job. It was marketed as a "new way to grow limbs and treat cancer", but it had another meaning, another purpose behind it. Multiple ones in fact. The main reason was to help develop a cure for Harry Osborn and his disease, but the other was to Connors himself.
He wanted to get his arm again. Ever since he lost it when they discovered that thing, things weren't normal anymore. He couldn't sleep, couldn't hold long conversations, barely remembered anything non work related... Even his family was starting to feel something was weird.
He needed this to work, no matter the cost.
Velvet was patrolling the Financial District with her new (well, not new) costume. She left Animus to take care of the spiders back on Bronx and practiced the act of vigilantism since dawn.
She was way chill than the last few days, but that was because she needed to think about things. Manly on how she acted these last two years. She has not been a role model for a heroine. Susan noticed that her actions led to her mind be slightly corrupted by her desire of power, having fun with her powers (that thankfully aren't connected to Animus) instead of helping people. She did help others at the start, but she started focusing on the bigger threats instead of the small folk.
Upon years of prejudice, neglect, weakness and even sexual harassment, Susan could finally do things without her survival instincts kicking in. She didn't need to feel afraid that she wouldn't do things right by others standards or any other asinine excuse for her mental tormenting. She could be herself and she loved it. The feeling of power, freedom, confidence and fun...
Susan wouldn't trade it for anything.
But this reliance on this feeling was making her unstable. Every and any disturbance of her "Apex predator" status made her rage at even the ones that didn't have anything to do with it. She was, in crude terms, attending a deadline she put herself. Self-sabotage, to be clear. That was damaging her mental state to the point even Peter was making her angry, so she decided that a small vacation would suffice.
This also made her respect the man eve further, since he was called a menace, got his character questioned daily, balanced bis personal life and heroic life, worked in the job of his dreams after fighting against immeasurable odds and still didn't give up. She was just Velvet and was about to pull the hair out of the head.
"A break-in?", Velvet said.
She saw a group of people trying to enter an apartment. The spider lady was watching them over a crane on the other side of the street.
"I guess I'll have a look.", She said ash she shot a web to the roof.
Upon landing, she crawled down to a vent and immediately knew what they were doing. These are the few bandits that are robbing artists and their canvas, basically seeling these paintings on the black market. Which is weird for her since these paintings aren't from a famous artist.
"We need to do this quick! None of the Spider-Siblings are on the city today!", One of them said while he lockpicks the door lock.
"Did something happen to them? It's not normal for them to just disappear like that."
"Who cares? More opportunities for us."
Velvet hold her giggle for now to analyze them. No one was with weapons, or at least not visible ones. Maybe a pocket knife so they could cut the canvas of the frame? Or they have some tools on the bag the big guy is carrying? She crawled on the roof and got closer to them stealthily.
With a quick pull, she got one of the criminals and binded him to the roof. With a quick hand gesture to the criminal to not make a noise, Velvet jumped down to the remaining thugs.
"Breaking into an artist's home? Seriously guys, you need to work on your canvas for mischief. This one's a masterpiece of bad ideas!", she quipped while casually dropkicking the lock picker.
She learned a joke or two.
"God damnit, Jeffrey! You jinxed it!", The brute tries to punch in his frustration.
She slides under the man's legs, "Jinxed it? Bro, millennial slang is something else."
"Fuck this shit!", The man pulls a grenade and immediately activates it.
Velvet managed to roundhouse kick him, rendering him unconscious, but the grenade flew away further into the hall. That wasn't going to be a problem if a kid didn't left his own apartment and picked it up. She could just yank it back, web it in a lot of layers and wait the explosion. She web zipped to the kid, jumping out of the window, throwing the grenade upwards while hugging the child.
The grenade exploded in the air with no casualties while Velvet shot a web on a building to ease the fall. She put the kind on the sidewalk and looked at him. Velvet was going to reprimand him but when she saw that face she froze for half a second.
It was Miles Morales.
"Uh... T-thank you...", he said, still afraid of what just happened.
"Niño, cuando escuchas una pelea afuera de tu casa no sales a ver qué pasa, ¿entiendes? ¡Podrías haberte lastimado!
(Kid, when you hear a fight outside your house, you don't go out to see what's going on, understand? You could have gotten hurt!)", Velvet spoke in fluently her Spanish.
"Lo siento... (Sorry)", He said ruefully.
"Todo bien. Ahora ve a buscar a tu madre. (It's ok. Now go to your mother)".
She jumped to see the damage of the building, letting a very embarrassed and red-faced Miles behind. Speaking of him, Velvet couldn't really stop herself from thinking on what will happen to this universe if this Miles turns out to be a new Spider-Man.
Well, technically speaking, she can make new Spider-Men anytime she wants.
Anyway...
The same to the building was only the broken window, thankfully. She looked at the one criminal that was on the ceiling who was still very much awake and visibly defeated.
"Hey.", She said, getting his attention.
"What do you want..."
"Well, aside from knowing if this break-in would elevate your status, why did you choose to rob this place.", She joked at his state at the ceiling.
"Jesus Christ, you are worse than your brother."
"So you've met him? I guess our stupid sene of humor crawls on our blood."
The man was being tortured with bad jokes until he spoke.
The next day
Peter was doing his usual routine of going to work. He always left his apartment that was in Harlem way too soon so if Spider-Man needed to help someone, he could safely stop by, save the day and move on. It usually worked pretty well, all things considered.
Key word: Usually.
Today was not that day, since a giant lizard started causing havoc on the city. He swinged by immediately after hearing the reports. Was this related to Scorpion? Or was this work of a new villain? He was honestly amazed how new evil guys just pop out of nowhere. If he wasn't Spider-Man, how would these guys fare in the world? Thankfully the Avengers Tower is in construction, so maybe he can ask for their help.
He swinged at the location and almost didn't believe what he was seeing. It was a humanoid giant lizard throwing cars left right and center. His roar was deafening and unbearable even at a good distance.
"Hey big guy! Care to take this somewhere else? One that won't kill everyone single person in existence?", He asked while shooting web balls at him.
The Lizard took of the webs and grabbed the Spider by the neck before throwing him at a building. He did it with such force that Spider-Man had trouble getting out of the debris.
"I guess not..."
"Thank you, Velvet.", An officer said.
Velvet just uncovered a forgery of painting operation. It was a minor thing but still very detrimental. If these paintings circulated on the market it would undervalue the legit pieces, that if they aren't already.
"No problem.", She said before leaving and landing on a lamppost.
bzzz
Tapping her ear, she answered the call.
"Hey, Spidey."
"Velvet! I kinda need your help! Go to Lenox Hill, ASAP!", Peter struggled to speak, like he is fighting someone big.
Maybe it is Rhino? He's been quiet lately.
"Sure thing, bro. Hey, officer! You have a call from Lenox?", She asked after hanging up.
"Oh, let me see... Yeah we have one. It says... a giant lizard is attacking the city? Can you believe that?", The officer said not believing it.
"Oh, I can and that's not a good sign."
"Please be a good lizard!"
Spider-Man was trying his absolute best at holding this monster until Velvet arrived. He figured out that this was Connors, since he was the only one working in anything reptile related. If Velvet arrived, he could use Otto's lab to maybe make a cure after he got info on Oscorp. The problem was how to contain this gargantuan problem.
It was horrific and comical at the same time seeing a tiny man trying to holster the lizard like a mad horse.
"Incoming!", Velvet screamed as warning.
She swinged just like a wracking ball onto the lizard's chest, kicking him with all her might, sending him down the street like a sack of potatoes. Spider-Man could only jump out of the way in a slight sense of relief.
"Ok, what did I miss?", She asked, still looking at the low-key dinosaur.
"Not much, just the big plot twist of my life. That thing is Connors.", He said while doing a not so dramatic pose to explain the situation.
"That is Connors?", Velvet managed to sound surprised.
"I think I can make a cure but you will need to distract him for a while!", He said while bailing out.
"Wait, how long?!", She asked frantically to the Webhead.
"I don't know! But good luck!"
"Huroooaah!", The Lizard attacked the unwarned spider.
Thankfully she managed to dodge the attack with a backflip. How was she going to keep him in check? For what Susan knows, this can either take a few minutes or a week, and she surely doesn't have a week to work things out. The best idea would be to lure the beast to the sewers since there was not that many people and a confined space would fare better at actually fighting the thing.
She did the only thing she could at the moment, which was to quip.
"You should play hide and seek with Chameleon! You would blend in really well with him!"
That got his attention.
Velvet slingshot herself before the claws and teeth managed to pierce her skin. She didn't want to test if it would hurt. The problem with this plan was that the sewage treatment station was far enough that the Lizard will probably lose interest in chasing her. Add the fact that cops, army and whoever gets close will try to interfere even if she warns them also gets in the way. Not to mention the damages of this plan. So, when she noticed that big gecko boy stopped, she did a 180 and fought him for a while until it was time to bounce.
Of course, easier said than done. In one of these tactical retreats, lizard managed to grab her leg and proceeded to crash her on the ground, just like a angry child would do with a plushie. He finished it by throwing Velvet up to a helicopter. She crashed in it and while barely recovering from the initial beating, managed to at least make a improvised parachute to the helicopter's crew. As soon as they were safe, Velvet wasn't, since our favorite cross species scientist decided to attack again. She did manage to dodge one or two attacks but the tail was a safe bet, whipping her face to crash in the nearby car.
"This isn't going anywhere. Ouch.", Susan thought.
She needed a new plan. The only thing she is doing right now is causing trouble to bystanders. Lizard, seeing that the nuisance was gone, decided to mind his own business. Velvet decided that the best thing she could do for now was to silently follow the monster. In the comics, the Lizard gets tired and needs to rest or do something regarding his DNA, so maybe the best for now isn't fighting.
She needs to think smart, not hard, that's how she was raised. Unironically, she is glad that her father put her the amount of pressure he did or else she might as well have a panic attack. This of course was one of the few exceptions she could count on her hands that she was grateful for her past life.
After emerging from the car's wreckage and dusting herself off, she webbed a building and followed the destruction. After a quick meddling on her mask, Susan managed to call Peter.
bzzz
"Pete!"
"I'm sorry, but the cure is not done yet. I just got the research of Dr. Connors.", He said cautiously over the other end.
"What do you mean you don't have it?!? This guy hits hard and is destroying everything in his path! I tried to lure him somewhere else but he's not having it!", She said desperately.
"I know. I'm developing it right now but it takes time to do it. What's happening with Connors right now?", He granted some sense of security.
"I think he is going someplace, but I don't know where. I'll keep you informed. Oh, shit!", She gasped suddenly as the call ended.
A few minutes before
MJ was a woman. Not just a woman, she was a she-wolf. One that follows the "nothing ventured, nothing gained" to the extreme. She got in trouble to get the best material available for the Daily Bugle, she got in dangerous situations just so she could get a pay raise and she got in lethal dilemas because she is self-sufficient.
That of course was a big problem to Peter who constantly needed to get her out of these exact same situations. It was the main wrangle and argument they have nowadays. Even when Peter explained in great detail how things would turn out she still decided to do against his advices. Always thinking or herself before the others.
She called Peter, since she saw what was happening on the news and he explained to her the abridged version of the story. Since Mary Jane lives near the Oscorp Corporate Building, she decided to go there and help him get it. That was ok in his eyes since it wasn't a bad idea. She could say that it was a job, an interview of something akin to it. The problem was that someone else was at Oscorp.
Wilson Fisk.
And Mary Jane Watson didn't tell him that small but crucial detail.
"Ok, I did not expect this.", She muttered to herself while staring at Kingpin.
He was already in prison, but only for a few days. Velvet warned that since he was taken into custody by two masked vigilantes who couldn't testify nor prove that he was truly behind the Gang Wars, he was released with the help of his seven lawyers, who didn't waste efforts in getting their boss out of prison.
Wilson was talking with Norman. Their conversation was a pleasant one for sure. She could take pictures of him but the office lady was getting aware of her intentions. She could see the Research papers if she didn't bring the camera, only pen and paper. Of course, MJ agreed. It was still a good story to sell, regardless of upbringing.
"You know you owe me a favor, Norman.", Fisk said in a uninterested tone. Like it was a reminder of a chore.
"I have a few hooks on you as well, Mr. Fisk. I am planning on becoming the mayor of this town and I believe you would want to be at my side rather than against me.", He returned the gesture.
MJ knew how these meetings go. They spoke like nobles in the dinning table, pointing out others achievements, mistakes and more often than not, threats. A verbal sparring with a pinch in their pride. Of course, she got here to help Peter, even if she did want to hear what they are talking about.
They finally arrive at the workplace of the scientists.
"Very well, what do you want to ask?"
"Very well, what do you want to ask?"
Spider-Man slowly lowered himself in his web. MJ was doing her job in distracting the office lady while he analyzed and took pictures with his built-in camera as to not make the same mistake he did the year before.
"Huh, interesting. Connors didn't test this sample with human genetics before. Might be why he is tearing the city, like a hangover.", He thought.
Upon reading the papers further, he discovered that in every test he did with non human cells, the host always slept a few hours after his initial aggressive behavior. He webbed the file with the formula and was about to leave when the door opened.
"Hey, it is Spider-Man!", a Fisk guard pointed.
The office lady saw this and glanced over MJ and concluded that she spotted Spider-Man but didn't warn her, "Take her in, take both of them in!", She said while running for her safety.
"Crap. Do I need to do motion detectors now?"
"Uh... Spider-Man?", MJ asked hurriedly.
One brute shot the web Spider-Man was hanging which made him almost hit the ground. He recomposed himself and prepared for the fight. The thug advanced with a punch that Spider-Man only swayed and countered with a straight to the bellybutton and finished with a left uppercut.
"You guys should really think of a better career, like... Bakery!", He said while he did a barrage of punches and kicks in another henchman.
"Bake this you fucking freak!"
One of them just readied a sniper rifle but thanks to MJ...? Wait, why is she still here? She used her camera to flash a picture in the face of the sniper and ran through the door. Spider-Man quickly strikes him with his web and ensnared the guy on the wall.
"What the hell is she thinking? Does she want to get hurt?"
He decided to question her later, he needed to leave this place as soon as possible.
A while later, same time as Velvet's fight
MJ was already on the Octavius Industries waiting for Peter to arrive. She waited inside, using the excuse she needed to talk with him about something. Otto seemed to look forward to the revelation, which made her confused. Then blush and correct Otto that she wasn't pregnant or anything. For a smart man he could still have the weirdest and dumbest ideas. He left soon after.
After a few minutes, Peter did arrive, still in his Spider-Man suit.
"Hey Pete! We did a good team right?", She asked with glee in her voice.
"No, we didn't! Why did you put yourself in danger? Again?", He asked in annoyance.
"Are you really going to do this? I can't believe it! I-I just helped you get the files of Connors!", She countered with frustration.
"Yeah, by almost getting shot! I already-"
"Already told me about the consequences about me being there, yeah, thanks for reminding me again of this. But it's not because I'm not a Spider-like person that I can't do shit, ok?", MJ was mad at this point.
"Look, can we not do this? Like, ever? We are just going around in circles with this and I need to save my friend, ok?", He said with the rest of his patience.
"Ugh, fine. Can I at least know what you are doing?"
"Sure. I'm deconstructing the sample of the Reptilian DNA and reforming the Human DNA. The sample that Connors used is unstable, making him mutate to a point of no recovery. With this, his biology should restart to the point before he became that thing.", He explained while working on the cure.
"Thus, turning him back to normal."
Bzzz
One hour later
Velvet followed the Lizard to the Bathhouse Pier, West of Manhattan. He just... stayed there for a long while. She can't complain since she took a beating, but her curiousness made Susan act. The fact that just stayed there didn't make sense to her. Maybe he is resting? Evolving? Sleeping?
"Oh please, just be sleeping."
She got to the roof and looked over the windows but didn't see anything unusual. She got inside of the warehouse and for some reason everything was pitch black. She could barely see a feet in front of her, but thanks to her mask, she could recognize a few light switches. She lighted the place but immediately leapt upwards since the lizard was waiting to pounce her.
She glued to the ceiling and was quite grateful that she has the Spider-sense. She stared at the Lizard who was recovering from the previous fight they had with a few cuts and bruises still unhealed. She webbed the ground and shot herself to the monster, kicking him with all her strength. The Lizard's back hit the ground but his struggling made it hard to land a full blow, so Velvet quickly got to the ceiling again.
She webbed the ground again, but webbed the Lizard's face too. After this she slingshot herself again to the ground, but used a pipe with her other web to lift the lizard, thus kicking him on the chest again. She finished by pulling a small crane carrying a boat, crashing it in his head.
"C'mon Connors, I know you are in there!", She said while striking him with her fists, "I just need you to calm down, just a little!"
The lizard cried in agony, retaliating the attacks with blind slashes of his claws. Velvet glued his arms on the ground and repeatedly struck him with continuous hooks and crosses on the head. If she couldn't persuade him with love, she would do it with force. This unfortunately seemed to only er the lizard who managed to escape the web and grabbed the woman by the arm and stabbing her with the claws in his free hand. Blood stated to spill on the ground. A lot of blood.
"Velvet!", Spider-Man showed up, throwing a electric terminal at the reptile. He saw how much blood was coming out of her.
With mixed feelings, Peter saw MJ appearing on the battle going to rescue Velvet. He couldn't find a proper reaction to this since the lizard was still a threat and he couldn't save both of them while fighting him, so he decided to just focus on the task at hand.
The battle was probably the most grandiose and difficult Spider-Man had in his entire career so far. He needed to use all his strength, barely pulling his punches. Lizard was also not giving second chances, taking every opportunity to slash, attack, cut, pierce and bite. It was so on the line that Peter thought it was a miracle Velvet managed to hold him all this time.
They crashed the pier, they fought in the lake, the river, the bridge and even the sewage way. This time it was such a confined space that even Spider-Man needed to rethink his attacks as to effectively strike the lizard. Thankfully he had a plan in his mind. He needed to tire the lizard so he could safely apply the cure or else trying his luck and getting the serum to act over time with a smaller dose of it. But judging by the previous battles with various supper villains, he decided against it.
"Ok, take this!", Spider-Man cuts the lizard's tail with a sharp piece of metal.
Of course this wouldn't kill him, judging by how the tail was already regrowing. Regeneration was both a cool and gross power. Ugh... The lizard however didn't feel like he needed to be in the same place as Spider-Man to regrow his lost limb, so he got away for now.
Bzzz
"Hey, brother...", Her voice was tired.
"Susan! Are you alright?!", He said while following the lizard.
"I can't say I've had worse than this. The doctors are doing their best without revealing my identity."
"Hold on! I will cure Connors and we will fiz you up right after!", He assured the woman.
"Just... Just focus on what you should do now. I w-ill be fi-ne--."
"Susan? Susan! Damnit! Of course the signal would fall on the sewers!"
He couldn't complain now. The best thing he could do is finish the job she started.
10 minutes later
An explosion erupted as both the lizard and Spider-Man are ejected of the manhole, destroying the street in the process. The cure was just in his hand, ready to be used and end this catastrophe, but the lizard still had some spirit in him and punched the hero one last time. The cure left the spider's hand, breaking when it hit the ground. Peter got up quickly and trapped the monster with his webs, ensuring for good that he would say on place.
The problem was that if he left this position the captive would certainly free himself.
MJ, being the heroine she is, ran toward the lizard with the backup cure, much to Peter's dread. She approached the lizard without an ounce of fear, but he did have fear.
"Wait, don't get close!"
This was enough for him to lose grip and for the lizard to slash MJ's arm. Spider-Man did his best to hold him in place and not lose focus, especially now that she was in Danger.
"Oh for fuck sake!"
Velvet grabbed the cure from MJ's hand and stuck it in the lizard month, injecting the serum in him. The serum did his thing and Connors was slowly but gradually reverting back to normal. Spider-Man loosened his webs and allowed his arms (that he didn't notice were immensely tired) a bit of rest.
He looked at his love from highschool, conflicted.
"You two are ok?", Peter asked, his voice almost cracking.
"I will be fine.", Velvet said.
"It's just a flesh would, nothing a few days of rest can't fix."
"It wouldn't be needed if you didn't put yourself in danger, right?", He said with a frown, visible thanks to his expressive mask.
"Peter-. Spider-Man, are you serious right now?", Her voice raised.
"I think it's better if we discuss this somewhere else.", Velvet said while motioning to the crowd getting near them.
Seconds later
"Look, all I am saying is that you would be fine if you didn't risk yourself so much! What if Velvet wasn't here? And even she is badly hurt!", Peter said.
Velvet was with a frown on her face while attending to the more serious wounds, silently listening to the couple's argument.
"Yeah, but if I didn't tell you to make two samples you'd be in a lot more trouble!", MJ countered.
"Enough! Jesus fucking Christ!", Velvet exclaimed, "You want to protect her and she tells you she can do things herself, but today was another(?) example that she can't, right?"
"I didn't say that.", He quickly corrected her, "But the fact she consistently ignores what I tell her is getting in my nerves!"
"And I already told you that I'm not made out of glass! You'd just put me in a box than consider what I feel?!"
"Hey, enough! Stop this stupid feud of you two!", Velvet interrupted again.
"Oh, and what do you propose we do, oh wise and know-all Velvet?"
Susan stared at MJ for a few seconds.
"Uh... MJ, I think you-"
"Shut. Up. Peter."
Even MJ was startled by this such change if mood.
Susan took off her mask, showing her face to her. This. This was personal and Peter couldn't put a single argument in this cat-fight.
"Mary Jane Watson. How are your parents? Your relationship with them?", Susan asked in a cold voice.
"U-uh... They are fine... Still married as far as I know, even if my father was a alcoholic and almost struck her and me a few times... But... Uh... I don't know what this has to do-"
"So you can say you have a good relationship with them?", She interrupted her, still in the same tone of voice.
Peter wanted to protest, but this sounded too personal. Like MJ just insulted her to a massive degree.
"I... guess...?", She replied, confused.
"Have they demanded you do something you didn't want? Something that you despised? Something you hated, but needed to do or else they'd rather evict you?", Still same tone.
"Huh? No!"
"Have you been victim of racism? Prejudice and outside expectations on your life?"
"No! But why-"
"Velvet, I think this is-"
"Have you been sexually harassed? Abused? Mentally destroyed so your dreams seemed like a such distant memory you'd rather forget you had them? Have you, in your life, had the privilege of being silent to verbal abuses? Physical abuses? Did you need to swallow your feelings or be victim of a panic attack more times than you cared to count? Feelings of severe despondency and dejection? Or even, perhaps you had the idea of commiting suicide in your life?"
Both of them were silent.
"I thought so. Mary Jane Watson, I've lived a bad life, to put it lightly. One that I'd rather forget completely. Please, be grateful that you still have this one and your problems are to pay taxes and bills on the end of the month. Your responsibilities can't be compared to ours.", She said ruefully, putting her mask.
She left the couple, swinging away.
After a silence that lasted for a small eternity, Peter decided to voice his mind.
"I think we should... Give ourselves a time. A time to think.", He said, still looking at Susan.
She showed a bit of her last today. They need to talk.
"I... can't say I disagree." MJ replied.
Peter looked at his love with different eyes. He can't say that he would conquer the world for her anymore, not now at least.
"I'll go see her."
And with that, MJ was left alone to think of what happened.
Susan was in front of her hideout. Animus was waiting for her, opening a small entrance waiting for the news of her daily patrolling. It saw how she was injuried and naturally it was concerned about her well-being. Peter landed behind her shortly after, but Susan never stopped walking. He chased the woman inside the church, only to see it way different than before. It still had the spiders and the webs of said spiders, bit now it has this black goo.
"Peter...", She said tiredly.
"Susan, I... Do you want to...", He tried to speak.
Something was weird... This place... It didn't seem strange, even with the disturbing goo. He felt... cozy and comfortable. He felt warm and refreshed. Peter could only think about this place as a rest spot. One that he didn't need to worry about anything. The opening of before closed, but he wasn't concerned with that. The goo made appendages just like the ones he saw last year as supports for him, lifting him and Susan to a more secluded location. Demons of Imagine Dragon's was playing on the background.
"Susan... I want to... I want to talk with you. You seemed sad and cold before...", He said that, but he could feel a warmth in his chest, something weird but pleasing at the same time.
"Peter, just... I want you... Take me today...", She purred in his ear, very seductively.
Animus was hugging them both, caressing their bodies like a cocoon, enveloping their needs and sharing the pheromones of the couple.
"But... You...", Peter tried to protest, but he didn't feel the need to.
He couldn't find any argument, any reason now to not grant her wish. He was also too hurt inside, he needed a bit if rest, a time away from everyone. If Susan wanted this and he wanted this... Then why not?
"Please... Take that suit off."
Animus did as requested and prepared the scenery. He cautiously removed both of their clothes and carefully put them on another place. Animus binded with both Susan and Peter, taking care of their injuries or any other discomfort. She kissed his lips with love, sitting in his crotch, twerking her hips as to stimulate his shaft.
Peter didn't know what was happening, but couldn't deny the sense of bliss he was having. His hands were hovering on Susan's pelvis, ready to grope her thighs. God, how thick are her thighs. He surrenders to his inner desires and hugs her, outting his face in her bosom. They are exchangeing stimuli, getting ready for the climax. Susan put her hand over his dong and started stroking it slightly.
She wasn't experienced in this, so she did what she could to please her mate. And from the results, he seemed please by it with his slight wails of pleasure. That made her happy. Peter had some experience in this, but for some reason this was the best he ever had. Even more when Susan used her mouth to appeal his eager penis. She wasn't skilful, but was delicate. It was sensible part, so it was only natural to be slow and loving towards it.
His mind was like a fever dream, one that he didn't want to wake up. He didn't feel this happy since his parents were alive. He remembered the few times they were present. One of the most gleeful moments of his life and this moment now was no different. She stopped the game, but invited Peter to do his part. With his fingers he allowed the love juices of his partner to cover his hand, playing with her clit, the smell entering his nostrils.. She let a few moans escape, a sign that he was doing his job.
It was just a finger. It wasn't full penetration, but it was way better than what she could do on her own. She was in ecstasy, a small amount of it but no less delightful. But she wanted more, more than this, more to herself. His touch was warm and careful, but she needed it now. She got up and pushed him back and sat on his pole. It was so subtle, but she was on fire and needed to burn that energy inside.
Peter allowed her to do as she pleased. Her hands were sweaty, the smell was sweet and spicy and his mind was making turns of relish and weal. She used him like he belonged to her, but despite her gratification, it still felt sad. She roared in anguish and pain, despite this being a intimidate moment, the mist vulnerable they could allow themselves to be. Then why the rage? The hate? The anger?
Peter tried his best at being her partner, giving her a shoulder to rest. Slowly she calmed down, decreasing the speed and allowing them both of have a moment of gusto. Susan allowed herself to be on equal terms, hugging him. They started at none another for a while.
"I don't want to feel week. I don't want to lie. To feel alone...", She said with tears in her eyes.
"You aren't alone. I'm here for you, you know that.", He solaced her, embracing this weak side of her.
"Make me feel complete, Peter. Make me."
He got to the offensive and pleased her from behind, slowly building up the speed. He understood a bit of her now. She just wanted to be loved, to be recognized, to have that feeling of security. They hold their hands tightly, giving in to their cravings, their wishes and desires. They only want one another now, and they have it. Peter reaches at his climax and releases on her.
They both gasp for air, rejoicing their orgasms. Both are tired, too exhausted to even change their positions. Animus takes care of that and adjusts their positions so they can cuddle and appreciate each others presence. It also takes car of cleaning them both, not letting a ounce of grime on their bodies. The trio was happy. A sense of self-fulfilmment and vainglory.
That was the most peaceful they had on their life.
