Chapter 27

As we are about to leave Shalour City, we meet up with Calem. "Here take this." He says while giving us the HM for Surf. "If you use the HM Surf, you can travel over the water. I'll challenge you to a battle again sometime. That's the best way to get strong, after all. I was lucky enough to meet you and end up traveling together, so I'd better take advantage of the opportunity to battle."

"I see. I'm looking forward to it." I say as we head to Route 12, also known as Fourrage Road. And that's when we hear of a place known as the Castle of Chivalry, where Pokemon and Trainers seeking true strength are welcome, held by Wikstrom of the Kalos Elite Four.

"Wikstrom is a Steel Type Elite Four member, and I really like to go there." David says.

"Of course. Let's go." I say.

When we arrive at the Castle of Chivary, we find Wikstrom who is waiting for us. "Thou who seekest strength, I welcome thee here! I am the Man of Steel of the Kalos Elite Four Wikstrom!"

"He's really intense..." Serena sweatdrops.

"I believe chivalry to be the path of the truly strong. And in order to convey such to trainers and Pokemon around the world, I established this Castle of Chivalry!" And we notice that Wikstrom has an Aegislash, which is a powerful Pokemon. "Now! Let us seek new heights together!"

"Yes, thank you." We bow. Just then, he seems to be touched and he says, "Oh, how refreshing thy bright eyes are! Glory to be thy futures!"

"H-he's crying?" Bonnie asks.

"He seems really passionate..." Elline says.

"Challengers, I ask for your names!" He says as we introduce ourselves, and he recognizes David and Elline as Diantha's children while me being the 5 region champion. And after a while, all of us are wearing armor like we're knights.

"This is quite heavy..." Clemont says.

"But it's so cool. It's just like we're the knights from the movies." Elline says.

"But why are we wearing this?" Serena asks.

"There is but one reason! Since ye dost pursue true strength! Ye shall discover why as soon as your training begins!" Wikstrom says. "This Castle of Chivalry is composed of three different training grounds. When Pokemon and trainer overcome the three tasks together and reach the roof... as proof of their true strength, they shall be bestowed Knight medals to honor their title as knights!"

"Then we'll get them for sure." I say.

"We begin with the first task! A knight must show peerless strength! One must polish and hone oneself!" Wikstrom says.

"Showing peerless strength..." Serena mutter. "I wonder what that means..."

In the end, it turns out to be running around the castle with 10 laps. Clemont doesn't like that while we all do it. My partner is Aggron while Serena goes for Tyranitar. David goes with Scizor while Elline goes with Manectric, and Clemont and Bonnie are together as they use Bunnelby. However, as we run, we find that Wikstrom's Probopass is trying to use its ability Magnet Pull to attract our armors, and both Clemont and Bonnie are already out of the match because of how Clemont can't run.

"Come on, Brother. You're so weak..." Bonnie yells, and Clemont can only sigh.

In the end, the four of us pass the first task and David says, "We did it..."

"Yeah, my joints are cracking, but that felt good." Serena says.

Wikstrom is touched again, "What extraordinary resolve I have witnessed from you! Keep that fighting spirit and proceed! Now, to the second task!"

We are taken to a dark maze, and he quotes it as the Maze of Doubts. "Fear and doubts constantly assail one on the battlefield. Pokemon and trainer must work hand in hand to escape this maze filled with traps!"

As Serena and I go with one way, David and Elline go with another way. Clemont and Bonnie are out as they have to wait with Wikstrom. But as we continue forward, we are ambushed by a Dedenne who tries to use Nuzzle on us, but good thing we're not falling through it. And there is also a Honedge who tries to possess us but fails. And then we're now in a dead end.

"A dead end?" Serena frowns.

"Wait, Aggron, use Iron Head." I say as Aggron manages to break the wall., and then a path appears. However, there is a hole as Serena is about to fall through. Serena says, "Don't worry about me. Tyranitar! Activate Sand Stream!"

Tyranitar uses the sand to raise the field and now they're back on the ground. "That was close." Serena sighs.

And in the end, we are finally out and it seems that Elline and David also come out at the same time. I say, "You guys alright?"

"No problem." Elline says.

"You four have passed the second test. Marvelous, truly marvelous!" Wikstrom says. "Let me express my sincere respect for making it this far. Now this is the last: The third task. Take care as ye proceed."

Just then, the four of us are given the swords, and we are also taken to another building. What we need to do is to open the locked door behind Wikstrom and we will pass. As for the key, it is held by a Klefki. But it is not easy because Wikstrom and Aegislash will try everything to stop us. While we try to have the Pokemon battle, we notice that we can try to get the key at the same time. However, Wikstrom is not going to let us get the key easily as we have to use our swords to fight him.

Wikstrom is actually really good at fighting four-on-one, and so is Aegislash. But we decide to do teamwork, with David and Elline stalling Wikstrom and Aegislash while we chase to get the key from Klefki. Klefki is actually speedy and it also has Steel and Fairy moves to attack, but in the end, we get the key from Klefki.

"A knight is one who fights to protect their precious lord, and the weak and powerless. When one truly treasures another and fights to protect them, their strength is magnified manyfold. Sir Ash, Sir David, Lady Serena, and Lady Elline... as well as your Pokemon, I hereby acknowledge your success in training, and award you these Knight Medals."

We get the medals and much to our delight, he also gives us each a Mega Stone. One for Tyranitar and Aggron, and David and Elline also have their own Scizorite and Manecite. Then we bid farewell to Wikstrom as we continue moving.

When we arrive at Lagoon Town, it is time for my third Contest. I am surprised to find Zoey there as we greet each other. I ask, "So Zoey, aren't you going to participate in this one?"

Zoey says, "I'll just watch since I need to relax for a while, besides, the reason why I'm here is because the Founder of the Contests, Aurora, is having an exhibition performance here."

"No way... you're saying that my Mom is going to have a performance here?" I ask with surprise.

Then we go to backstage as we greet Mom, my Mom says, "Hello to you again, Ash. How are you doing?"

"It's fine. I mean, I got my third gym badge in Shalour City." I say. "And I'm here for my third ribbon."

"Wow, I can't believe I am seeing the Legendary Coordinator Aurora here..." Zoey says.

"Oh, you must be Zoey, right? I heard about you from Ash. It's nice to meet you." My mom says. "So you're participating in this one?"

"Sorry, but I'm here because I want to see your performance." Zoey says as my Mom nods.

At the stage, Lillian says, "Welcome everyone to the Geosenge Contest, today is special since we have our founder of the Contests, the Legendary Coordinator Aurora to give out an exhibition show!"

Everyone cheers as my Mom come to the stage. My mom waves to the crowd and then takes out two Pokeballs. "Let's do it! Charizard, Togekiss!" She tosses two Pokemon with stars and fire in the background.

"Now, Flamethrower to create a star for Togekiss to Spin around!" She says as Charizard does it, Togekiss spins into the fire and then uses Dazzling Gleam.

At the stands, Serena says, "Wow...Ms. Ketchum is amazing..."

Zoey says, "Right? Aurora's performances are original and highly advanced. I tried to use that trick but I couldn't make it."

Elline says, "Yeah, since Aunt Aurora usually practices a lot."

My Mom says, "Time for the ending! Focus Blast with Dragon Claw!"

Charizard slashes through the ball Togekiss made and it becomes fireworks.

"And that is it for Aurora's performance! A perfect way to start this contest!" Lillian says as everyone cheers, and the three judges also give good comments about the performance.

After a series of Coordinators, Lillian says, "And next, we have Ash Ketchum! Being Aurora's first son, let's see how he would go!"

I rush to the stage with two Pokeballs, and I send out Aromatisse and Honedge with grace. The two Pokemon fly around in the air and I command, "Use the Psychic to split Flash Cannon!"

Aromatisse uses the move as Honedge's Flash Cannon starts to spin around and creates a big loop. "Spin around the loop and use Ally Switch!"

With Aromatisse using the move, Honedge also uses Power Trick to change before going back to Aromatisse. David says, "No way! That is the legendary move, Silver Infinity!"

"What? The move that only Aurora manages to perfect?" Clemont asks.

Once I'm finished, Lillian says, "An astounding performance! Now let's hear what the judge has to say."

Contesta says, "Ash Ketchum here has broken the record of being the second one who perfects this wonderful move."

"I like it a lot." Sukizo says.

"Infinity Loop needs some hard work and the bond of both Pokemon and trainers, Ash has done a great job." Nurse Joy says.

I'm happy as I hug two of my Pokemon, and then we get back to the waiting room and my Mom is already there.

"That is nice work, Ash." My mom says. "You perfect the move."

"I know, mom." I say.

And with the battle rounds with the help of Mega Tyranitar and Lucario, we also win our third ribbon in the end. Zoey has bid us farewell as she got what she wanted to see, and my Mom also leaves because she has a meeting with our grandma and she can't be late.

Then we decide to do some special training as Bonnie goes to the forest and meets three kids who call themselves the Lapras Defense Force. They show Bonnie to their hideout and introduce her to their friend Lapras, who is recovering from an injury and seems to be running a fever. The three of them really don't trust grown-ups, but when we come looking for Bonnie, the kids reluctantly agree to let Nurse Joy make a house call to their hideout.

After some medical attention, Lapras is feeling much better, but she keeps looking out toward the water and crying. Clemont figures out that it misses its ocean home, and the kids decide to take it back there. Despite a boulder blocking the way, Lapras is soon reunited with its family.

And this is the end of the chapter, you can see that this is actually from the Journeys and I want to introduce to Wikstrom. Also, the Aggronite and Tyranitarite are in Cyllage Gym in the game, but because of some reasons, I decide to let Wikstrom give them. I hope you like this chapter.
