Chapter 5: Unveiling Secrets
A few days had passed since the intimate conversation on the edge of the Badlands. Now, the scene shifted to Vik's clinic, where an unconscious and injured Six lay on the operating chair. V stood beside him, her concern etched on her face.
Six had taken on and killed almost an entire MaxTac squad that took interest in him after scanning him, but not without sustaining injuries. His breathing was labored, and his body bore the marks of a fierce battle.
V watched anxiously as Vik, the Ripperdoc, worked to stabilize and treat Six's injuries. It was during the examination and surgery that they made some startling discoveries.
As Vik probed Six's body, he couldn't help but express his surprise. "V, I've never seen anything like this. He has no known implants, none of any known quantity."
V furrowed her brows, trying to comprehend the revelation. "But I've seen him do things, like the way he handles that Anti-Material rifle. It's not possible without some kind of augmentation."
Vik nodded in agreement. "Indeed, it's not. We just need to find out what's going on here."
As Vik continued to examine Six, they discovered the implants and changes made to his body during his time in the wasteland, notably the modifications from Big MT. His spine and heart had been removed and upgraded, but the most shocking revelation came when they realized his brain was missing, replaced with some remote processor, while his original brain remained at Big MT.
V and Vik stepped aside to discuss these shocking revelations. The gravity of the situation weighed on them both as they pondered the mysteries surrounding Six's existence.
