A Wonderful Life

Chapter 14: Restless Night
A/N: Hey guys! Now that things have settled it's about time to set a few things into motion, so get ready for...exposition! Enjoy
"You're worthless!" A voice echoed as a right arm with a white glove drove itself into Cell's skull. The arm went through the head and grabbed onto the other side of it while the left arm beat Cell's skull in, green blood splattering everywhere.
The arms then grabbed Cell's torso and ripped it into two pieces before a ki blast fully vaporized one half of Cell
Vegeta's skin tickled with excitement and pleasure, it was almost therapeutic when he saw Cell in shambles. It was a testament to his strength, it gave him control, and most of all...power!
Future Trunks suddenly awoke from his nightmare in a cold sweat. He panted heavily trying to calm himself. His room was lightly shaking while it glowed a yellow light. Trunks had unknowingly transformed into a Super Saiyan in his sleep once again, it was a problem that he thought he long since grew out of. But with a nightmare like that he was reasonably disturbed
Trunks negated the form and he climbed out of bed. He wore a new black tank top and grey shorts, which is practically a variant of what he always wore by this point. He got out of his bed and headed out the door. After that sight his stomach felt a little light, and because of it he needed a quick breather
"Was I...beating Cell to death? Why would I dream of that. And why did I sound like father..?" Trunks asked himself as he walked out of his dark room and into the empty hallway
He turned to the right to see Vegeta, in the distance. He wore a royal blue T-shirt and a pair of black shorts. He sat just in front of the wall and was staring at Cell's room emotionlessly, quite the creepy sight
Rather than ask questions Trunks silently floated towards Vegeta and sat beside him without saying a word. The two men sat in the same spot for many minutes in silence as they stared at the door in remembrance... that was Cell's room indeed
"So...what's keeping you up?" Trunks broke the silence. Surprisingly, it was the awkwardness of the silence that hurt him more than the tension
"I couldn't sleep. And you?" Vegeta asked Trunks, who closed his eyes. At least he could still hold a conversation like before, but now he felt a tad reluctant to tell
"I've gone this far. Just...pretend everything is normal." He thought
"I...had a nightmare. When I woke up I was a Super Saiyan again, something that I haven't done since I was younger. It seems like second nature for me to transform when I'm mad, even though I try so hard to stop that habbit." Trunks explained as Vegeta continued to stare at the door, almost unblinkingly
"...I see. And what did you dream of?" Vegeta asked his son. Trunks sighed, remembering the horrific dream
"It was...about Cell. I dreamed that I beat him senseless...in a way that I couldn't imagine. I also had your white gloves, and your voice as well." Trunks said as Vegeta analyzed his response, though when he came to a logical conclusion his grimaced
"What were you doing?"
"What?" He asked as Vegeta looked sternly at his son
"What was the last thing you remember from the dream?"
"I was in the gravity room. I...well...I called him worthless. Then I mashed my right hand through his skull and tore him in half." Trunks said in detail as Vegeta looked back at the door in contemplation
"Why do you ask?" Trunks asked, though by this point he knew the answer to that question himself, yet he just couldn't bring himself to accept it. Vegeta sighed deeply as he remembered that day like it was yesterday
"Because that was a memory from my past. It seems that we shared memories with the fusion of Vegenks." Vegeta said as Trunks gasped silently
"I see..."
Remember that day. I remember it because it was the day you came back for good." Vegeta said as Trunks was a little surprised by the answer
There was yet another moment of silence...
A pit formed inside of Trunks' stomach as he thought more deeply on the subject. The electric feeling that coursed through his veins, the sight of blood splattered over the floor. If he couldn't imagine what Vegeta was like during those times now he had a clear cut view in his mind
Within Trunks' head, he still didn't fully understand Vegeta's reasoning behind what he'd done, even with the fact that he did know exactly what the thought process was. But something inside of him kept him from understanding it, as if the answer just wasn't enough, even though it was the only one. He denied the truth though it stood right in front of him
"I can't go on like this. I can't just pretend that things are normal." He sighed. Kami knows that he tried his best to make things work, but the more he thought the further away he wanted to be from his father
As the silence deafened their ears, Vegeta only gripped his glove, until eventually he broke the silence
"I was a damn fool to ever think that it was okay... I came to this room every morning and dragged him to the chamber. The things that I did were atrocious...I...I'll never forgive myself for that, after everything it had caused" Vegeta said as he looked down at the floor, a small tear appeared at his cheek as Trunks looked at him curiously
Vegeta knew that Trunks would never forgive him for what he had done, no one would
"I...I don't know how to say any of this to your mother. How the hell am I supposed to say to my wife that I tortured someone while proving to her that I was a good husband." Vegeta confessed to Trunks
The half breed only sat in silence. Listening to his father, and seeing him in this state, only reminded him of what Piccolo had told him
"Your father had changed Trunks." He remembered as he looked at Vegeta's face. Seeing it full of regret and sorrow, it was hard to picture that arrogant, egotistical man that he first met. The two were practically separate people
But it was also easy to remember his dream again, the blood on the floor and Cell's limbs scattered across it too. It was sickening him just remembering that electric feeling and what it entailed
Trunks sighed audibly as he continued to think, until he simply decided to speak
"...Do you regret it?" Trunks asked his father. Vegeta rested his head as he tried to come up with the answer. He did regret it, but part of him wanted to refrain from saying yes, something deep inside of him. His Saiyan side
Vegeta, as much as he hated himself for doing it, would be lying if he said he never enjoyed what he did. He liked hurting Cell as though he was a stress tool. As much as he didn't want to admit, hurting him took Vegeta's mind off of many things, and without realizing it, calmed him down. Rather than think of his shortcomings against Kakarot, his futile struggles against Frieza, he instead set his mind into the moment. He felt in control of his actions, he felt in power for once, and that was something that he couldn't trade, even for what it had entailed
Hurting Cell was even able to help Vegeta see clearly. It ensured him that he WAS in control of his fate, and that he wasn't weak. It not only boosted his ego but soothed his soul in a way that he couldn't explain
Even then, Vegeta knew that he was in the wrong for thinking such things. Ruining Cell's life is no such excuse to better his own. Cell could have been so much more, if it weren't for him. But now he's dead...and Vegeta only wished that he could go back in time and stop himself. To find some way to have helped himself without ruining others, though he had no clue as to how
"...Yes...yes I do." Vegeta answered truthfully as Trunks got up from the floor
"I can't say that I forgive you, but you've changed, and that's something that I can't ignore. You're a better person now." Trunks said as he streched out his right hand towards Vegeta. "So...I'll do my best to put it behind me. I'll never understand why you did it, and that's...acceptable. As long as you know what you did was wrong." Trunks said, trying his best to sound glad, but in reality, he struggled to put something this grave past him
There were mountains of emotions that he tried to hold back, to bottle up in order to keep the peace. If he peeped now who knew what damage he could do. Would his mother forgive Vegeta? Would he father forgive him? What would that do to the peace that he so desperately wanted to keep?
The more he thought the more his head hurt. And by this point, he found it easier to just bottle away his emotions. If it meant that he could have a normal life for once
"...Thank you, son." Vegeta said as Trunks smiled a little, but it was clearly forced
"You're welcome." Trunks said as he headed towards his room. Vegeta glanced once more at the room, before walking back towards his own room
"I swear that I will never do such a thing again, for as long as I exist. But at least it's all over now..." Vegeta thought to himself as he walked towards his room
Inside Prestina's room, the petite woman laid restless in her bed. Overhearing, or more specifically reading their minds through curiosity, was her biggest mistake yet. It was habit for her to peek into other's minds, though that was beginning to become a problem on her part
"Just don't say anything...you'll be fine..."
"Look 17, he's all tuckered out." A voice said sadisticly as 18 looked up from the floor
She looked up to see herself and 17, standing in front of her. She looked around and saw that she was in Cell's room, but she wasn't Cell this time. Instead, she was in her own body, wearing the same clothes as she did when she first awoke from the pods all those years ago. The other 18 wore the same outfit, and 17 wore his Red Ribbon Army shirt and jeans. She was battered and beat, with cuts and bruises all throughout her body
"Hey that one didn't count, I didn't even get warmed up." 17 complained as the two walked forward menacingly. 18 tried to get up, only to fall back down out of exhaustion and pain. She tried to crawl backwards, but the other 18 stepped on her foot while 17 grabbed by the shoulder
"He's finally starting to crack, guess we've done a number on him." 17 pulled 18 up from the floor. She tried to break free, but she could barely move. She could only stand there as she looked herself in the eyes. The other 18 smirked as she studied 18
"Yeah, but that doesn't mean that the fun stops." The other 18 countered. 18 soon found herself being beaten by her own self while her brother held her still. She tried to scream in pain, but to her horror, nothing came out
Tried as she might, 18 was also unable to move a muscle as well. She grunted as the other 18 punched and kicked her throughout her body. After a minute, the other 18 began to jab her with her hands. One jab hit pierced her chest and went through her heart. An immense pain shot throughout her body as she was unable to breathe
17 grabbed her throat and threw her at the right wall, cracking it. 18 could barely grab her chest, unable to breathe. Her eyesight began to have dark spots as the nightmarish versions of herself and her brother laughed in their own amusement. 18's body grew cold as her right hand was full of blood. She soon faded away from consciousness as she could feel death at her door...again...
Android 18 awoke with a scream as she gripped her chest tightly. She hyperventilated and mumbled incoherently, trying to hear her voice again. She felt cold, even though she had sweat all throughout her body. She wanted to wake up Krillin by her side, patting the bedside before looking over and seeing that Krillin wasn't there. She remembered now, she was alone...
18 began to sob loudly as tears feel from her eyes. She was all alone, with no one to care for her in this time. She continued to sob for a few minutes before realizing something
"17...yeah. I'll go to 17's house. We don't need much sleep anyway." 18 said aloud as she got up from bed. She turned on the lamp beside her and went to the closet to change from her black pajamas
She changed into a black T-shirt and grey sweat pants. She also wore a soft black hoodie over her body and a pair of grey tennis shoes
18 soon left the house to find that the outside was slightly cold, with a light breeze hitting her face. 18 closed the door behind her and flew upwards, flying northeast, towards Monster Island
For a couple of minutes she flew, before reaching the island that 17 lived on. It was large with an abundance of trees forming jungles, coupled alongside large beeches and large cliffs. She went towards the house to see seven Cell Jr.s
All seven were stationed just outside of 17's house and had a small table, playing a game of cards. The seven Cell Jr.s looked up and waved while spouting uninteligible babbles. Rather than be remotely surprised she chuckled and waved back
"It's surprising how those things survived. Glad 17 managed to tame them." 18 said aloud as she landed in front of 17's door. Unlike many houses nowadays, 17's house was square and wooden. It was small and red, with a large porch in the front. 18 knocked on the door, and in less than a minute it opened
17 opened the door outside. He wore a light blue T-shirt and a pair of neon green shorts. His face had a hint of red, and his eyes were red and watery
"Hey. this is unexpected."
"Yeah... By the way, the Jr.s grabbed your cards again." 18 mentioned as she pointed a thumb at the Cell Jr.s behind her. 17 groaned tiredly as he saw the Jr.s playing a form of poker, who knew what they were betting with though
"Damn, how do they keep grabbing 'em? I'll get them later. But I guess you aren't here just to tell me that." 17 assumed, getting confirmation by 18's unsteady gaze. "Come on, I'll prep up some tea."
17's house was very small and fairly empty. They walked into the living room, which consisted of the T.V in the left, and a couch for two on the right. Ahead was the kitchen, which was also very small, there was the oven that also doubled as a stove in the middle, and a large counter on the right with cubbards. There was a closed door in the kitchen that led to 17's room
17 grabbed a pot from the cubbards and began to boil water on the stove. He then got two tea bags from another cubbard and left them on the counter.
"So, what's bugging ya?" 17 asked as he eventually sat next to her troubled sister. 18 looked down at the floor
"Well, Krillin left me, and took Maron to the old guy's house to sleep." 18 responded to 17. He gasped in shock and anger, he knew that bastard would let him down on his promise
"Wait what? I thought everything was fine? What happened?"
"Krillin found out that the two of us...tourtured Cell. He took Maron to the old guy's house to sleep for a few nights while he thinks about our marrage." She said somberly. 17 grabbed his sister's shoulder
"Damn...why would he do that?." He said as he hugged her. A tear fell from her eye as the two sat there
"Apperently I wasn't...me...he thought I was a monster!" 18 said as she broke down in tears. 17 hugged her as she cried, his anger boiling more and more
"What do you mean? You've always been the same person." 17 said to 18, who sobbed even more
"NO! Ever since we left that stupid chamber all we've ever done was ruin Cell's life! We've been acting as heartless and evil as our Future selves!! This is all that damned Gero has ever wanted!!" 18 said as she cried
17 froze upon hearing the last two statements? As evil as their suture selves? But they were nothing like them! They weren't leveling cities and causing chaos! They were just having a bit of payback, nothing wrong with that. Right?
"I also dreamed of being Cell. Only that I was me, and I was getting beat by the two of us. I decided to come here, since you're my brother..." 18 said through sobs. 17 shed a tear as he knew exactly what she dreamt of
"Damn, that's odd, cause I had the same dream too." 17 tried to joke, though the small stream of tears and shaking voice spoke for themselves
"What? How?"
"Yeah, I got that nightmare too.. Haven't been able to sleep since." 17 said whilst gripping his thigh. Even if he didn't describe it 18 knew exactly what he saw
"That's...horrible..." 18 said as the two andriods hugged each other for comfort. The two sat in the same spot in silence as they provided company for the other, as they always had...
"We're not monsters...are we?"
"I don't know...I don't know..."
Gohan sat on the roof of his house as he stared at the stars. He hadn't been able to fall asleep, it was hard to do so, with everything that had just happened in one day. A new threat was revealed, Cell turned evil, Gohan and Trunks learned fusion, Gohan died for the first time, there's a new member to the Dragon Team, Videl has feelings for Gohan and Cell was killed. All in all, Gohan was still restless
"What's up son? Why can't you sleep?" The voice of Goku spoke telepathicaly to Gohan
"Well, I'm still having trouble digesting what happened today."
"Yeah, I still can't believe Cell turned on us, but it's hard not to see it after knowing what happened." Goku said as Gohan thought as well
"But, I still believe we could have changed him, he could've seen the light and changed for the better. Maybe if you had warned Vegeta and the Androids..." Gohan said, however, Goku disagreed
"Sorry, but King Kai strictly told me that I couldn't say anything. And even then, Vegeta probably wouldn't've listened at the time. But 17 and 18 probably could have." Goku said as the father and son were silent for a moment
"Chi-Chi told me about your friend Videl. She said that you two are VERY close. How's that?" Goku changed the conversation. Gohan decided to follow along, however, he blushed a little bit at the mention of her. He hadn't really thought of her romantically until just today, but soon gears started turning and wheels started spinning
"Well, the day I started to fight crime in my spare time I also met Videl. But she's Hurcule's daughter, so she was the local hero, making her kinda like my rival. She wanted to discover my true identity, and one time she witnessed me power down for school. She ended up blackmailing me so I could teach her Ki control. It wasn't until today that I realized she had feelings for me." Gohan explained as Goku began laughing
"Wow, I'm glad you've figured it out. ya know, I could've gone my whole life without marrying your mom if she didn't propose to me during a tournament. But I guess I'm glad I did...it's too bad marriage wasn't actually a food though." Goku said as Gohan chuckled
"Yeah, mom told me all about that." Gohan said, which was followed with another moment of silence before he continued
"Hey dad, what do you think of Prestina."
"She's got a good heart. But I feel bad for her family, she's been gone for so long that they probably forgot her, or worse."
"Yeah, I would really be sad if I were to come back to a destroyed home." Gohan said before thinking of something else to say. However, the first trouble still stuck with him
"Hey dad. By what you saw, has Vegeta changed that much? And are the Androids still...evil?" Gohan asked. Goku sighed as he then tried to explain his point of view
"They aren't evil, that's for sure." He began. "In fact Vegeta has become a better person over the years, he realized that what he did was a VERY bad mistake. But the Androids haven't too changed much. They aren't EVIL, but they think that what they did was ok, no one else was affected but Cell. But now they know, and I'm sure that they're all still trying to become normal people, this whole thing was just a grave mistake. And Cell got the worst end of the stick."
"But, that doesn't make what they did any more okay."
"You're right. But all of them know that what they did was wrong, and that's what matters now." Goku said before sighing."There's nothing that can be done about the past, we should know that by now, so we just have to move on. The Androids know it was wrong, and so does Vegeta, so we can't do anything but move forward, for everyone's sake."
Gohan on the other hand, didn't seem to agree with his dad. It might be true they feel sorry for what they did, but being sorry doesn't cut it. Something should be done, shouldn't it?
"But, shouldn't we do something about it."
"We could, but honestly, Cell biting back was enough for them, especially for 17 and 18." Goku said, which reminded Gohan
It almost slipped his mind, but Cell did torture 17 and 18 inside of his mind, for hours no less. And he also killed Bulma, Kid Trunks and Vegeta himself
So...was that enough? The whole ordeal felt sticky, something should be done, but they already went through enough because of what they did. So that must be it, right?
"We're just supposed to move on?" Gohan asked once again
"As harsh as it sounds, Vegeta, 17 and 18 already got what they deserve, maybe even more. It's just up to us to forgive them now." Goku said, which stuck with Gohan
There was a moment of silence before Gohan shifted in place
"I see. Anyway I'm going to try and sleep, night dad." Gohan said as he floated to the open window of his room
"Alright son, I'll keep training then." Goku said, which confused Gohan, before realizing that he was dead
Krillin sat on the cold leather couch, restless and deep in thought. Marron had been put to sleep over an hour ago, and everyone had gone to sleep as well. Yet Krillin sat in the unlit living room of Kami House in contemplation, hearing the calm and uncaring sounds of ocean waves just outside. He stared blankly out the window and into the ocean, which is usually very bright and sunny until you see it at night, when there's no sun to illuminate it. It was almost symbolic really, given the situation
The topic of 18 continued to plague the monk's mind, having gone through his initial denial and anger, he left himself feeling empty and confused. When he split from 18 his world had crumbled in an instant, but he knew that it was for the better. Yet thoughts of his previous experiences with 18 flooded him
"Why, why would she ever do such a thing? What could I've done?" Krillin thought. He felt guilty in a way that was hard to understand, it was as though the blame was his that 18 had acted in such a way. He took it upon himself to teach 18 the ways of being human, but he clearly failed spectacularly
As Krillin conjured what if scenarios he was surprised by a lamp turning on, revealing Master Roshi standing beside him. It seems that Krillin was so distracted that he never noticed the creaking of the stairs or the noticeable footsteps of the old man
"Ah Krillin, having trouble sleeping?" Master Roshi asked whilst looking at the beautiful ocean as well, truly a site that never got old
"Ma-Master Roshi! What're you doing up so late?" Krillin asked, startled by his old teacher
"Me? I should ask you that boy." Roshi said as he sat next to Krillin, still observing the ocean
"Well... I can't stop thinking about 18."
"Ah, still thinking about that eh, I get it." Roshi said, remembering what Krillin had told him when he arrived at Kami's House
"I mean, why did she do that? How could she? Why didn't she ever stop?" Krillin reiterated his thoughts, causing Roshi to chuckle bleakly, it was like looking at a confused puppy. Earlier Krillin had gone on with the same question nonstop. Clearly he didn't have an answer for his predicament
"I don't think I'm the right one to talk about this." Roshi confessed. "But all I know is that 18, isn't a normal woman."
"But she should still know that what she did was wrong." Roshi was a tad frustrated by the notion Krillin had taken, clearly he hadn't learned anything from being in a team full of past enemies
"And wasn't she also runnin around and blowing stuff up when you met her?" Roshi reminded his student
"Well yeah, but she's changed, I know she has."
"But just because she changed doesn't mean we can forget who she was." He said
There was some silence before Roshi sighed. As much as he wanted to help, he wasn't in the position to, especially since he didn't know much about the woman aside from what Trunks had described. Not to mention her tasteful body, but that was a given
"Hm...let me ask you this. Wouldn't there be a reason why she became evil a different time? One without you, or anyone to tell her what to do?" Roshi questioned, confusing Krillin but ultimately leaving him with more to think about. "I hope that you know what you're doing Krillin. Now if you excuse me." Roshi said as he reached deep under the couch and pulled out a playboy. Though Krillin was surprised he wasn't to shocked, this was his master
"I'll be taking this, don't want little Maron getting curious now do we?" Roshi said as he walked back to his room, leaving Krillin alone with the lamp on
While the conversation was short, it did leave Krillin with something new to think about
"But we can't forget who she was..." Krillin thought as he stared at the dark, beautiful ocean that was outside
After many hours...Cell regained his consciousnes. He awoke from his slumber to find himself in a white and empty room. He picked himself off of the floor and saw that he was in his own room. Technically it was his room, really it was just a blank room that he stayed in most of the time. He never decorated it, nor has he ever slept in it. But he has bled in it. Just like him, the room may look visibly fine, but it's seen far too much
"Is this Hell? And I thought you had to check in with someone first. At least it's...unique to me I suppose." Cell said aloud before hearing a voice behind him
"Hello Cell, care to play another game?" The voice of 17 spoke. Cell turned around to see a few people. He saw 17, 18,Vegeta, Gohanks,Vegenks, and finally, Gohan and Future Trunks. The room glowed a yellow light as the energy of the Super Saiyans radiated the dark room, revealing blood that wasn't there before, green blood
Cell's heart sank upon seeing the people around him, that was until everyone dashed forward
Soon Cell found himself on the other end of another beating, one that was so savage it tossed him back and fourth between assailants and often forced him to cough up blood. Everyone thrashed Cell violently before Vegenks shot him in the chest with a powerful Ki ball. Everyone backed away as each and everyone charged their signature attacks silently
"I guess I can't escape after all, it was foolish to think otherwise." Cell said out loud as he chuckled, before everyone thrusted their arms forward, sending a verity of colored beams speeding towards Cell. The beams disintegrated Cell's body as he felt a light pain all around him before being completly destroyed...
Suddenly, Cell opened his eyes to see that he was in a strange barren room. It was a dark grey lab that had various devices on his left and a large mirror on the right, but Cell could tell it was a one way window, he was able to see chairs and equipment on the other side. He was laying on a metal table as he looked up to see his surroundings. Strange, this didn't look like Hell, or even remotely like OtherWorld
"Damn...it seems my prayer was rejected..." Cell said in disappointment, he survived everything yet again, as he always tended to do
Suddenly, the door in front on him slid open to reveal a women. She had long brown hair that flowed down her neck and onto her back. The hair joined together in various parts to make small spikes that curled upwards. She had blue eyes and wore black glasses, but the most noticeable feature was her clothing style, a tight red and blue patterned dress with matching high heels, tight black stockings that wraped around her legs and arms, and finally a white lab coat with the long forgotten Red Ribbon army insignia on the shoulders
The woman was fairly confident and attractive, but there was a sinister grin that she wore, telling Cell all he needed to know about her, or cared to know really
"Looks like you're awake Cell. Allow me to introduce myself, I am Jinzō Gero, the new leader of the Red Ribbion Army. But, you may call me...Android 21." The women said as she outstretched her right arm. Cell played along as he got off of the metal table and shook hands with Android 21, whatever this was it'd better be worth his time
"Ah, you must be the one reponsible for my revival. Tell me, what is so important that you must reject my greatest wishes for?" Cell asked professionally, yet with a tiny hint of anger as 21 chuckled softly, finding his anger futile
"It seems you aren't one to waste time. Very well, I'll tell you-" She began but was interrupted by an impatient Cell
"No, I don't care about your story. Tell me right now what you want from me." He said in an irritated voice, there were millions of better things he could be doing than obey orders from some Red Ribbon big shot
21 huffed in annoyance but smirked once more. "I've revived you because you will play a part into my plan to take over the world. Happy now?" 21 asked as there was a moment of silence
"Wow, so you revived me and defiled my one true wish of death just to take over this stupid planet?" Cell scoffed, but his anger was steadily rising again. This person DARED revive him for their petty goals?
"...I refuse."
"...What?"
"I refuse." He reiterated with more anger
"What? But you're supposed to heed my command, that's what you're programed to do." 21 said, making Cell laugh at her audacity
"Well you see, the head of Capsule Corporation reprogramed me, and she even gave me more DNA. So, I'm smarter and less easy to fool." Cell said as he walked out the sliding metal door, while 21 followed behind, getting a little desperate
"Wait, then where are you going? Surely you don't have anything better to do?" 21 said in her attempt to convince Cell
"Oh please, you have the blandest plan that I have ever heard." He said. "I bet you don't even have a proper layout of a plan, do you? You just think that you can use me like some tool!?" 21 stuttered at hearing this, which only gave left Cell in disbelief, this wasn't happening, not again
But something tugged at him. Inwardly he was curious about this woman. The Red Ribbon army was still alive Huh? And there was another Android? Plus... how did she find him? The questions only added up
"Maybe I'll humor her." He thought as he softened his expression and calmed himself
"How about a compromise? I'll come back in, let's say one year. I will give you ONE year to think of a plan, maybe even widen the target for the universe, who knows. But just SOMETHING worth my while." Cell explained with a smirk as he found the exit, two large and thick metal doors that opened with a panel on the wall
"You are NOT what I thought you would be." 21 fumed, things had gotten so out of hand so quickly
"I get that alot." He joked. "Now, how about you do something while I'm gone. Like research the Z team some more, do some soul searching, maybe even try to subtly recruit the other Androids, hell I DON'T CARE! As long as I come back to a better plan. Something more...fun..." Cell said as he forced the doors open using his telekinesis and eventually flew away
"I swear, I've had afterthoughts better than her plan. I'm sure she'll become interesing once I come back. In the meanwhile, what AM I going to do..." Cell thought to himself
He honestly expected to have died in that stupid fight, he'd planned to really. He'd be set free in the only way he knew how, though combat and death. He even settled his little gripe with Vegeta, though not in the way he wished. Instead he was still here, without anyone knowing
Without anyone knowing
A wicked idea formed in Cell's head. Clearly, the Z team didn't know he was alive, otherwise he would be staring down at them by now. Instead he considered his new position with care
"How about I leave the Earth, I'm bound to find something interesting out there. It's not like EVERY threat has already made it to Earth." Cell thought simply as he quickly flew away from the Earth and into space...
His plan was simply, but it began with an adventure, Kami knew that he needed one. Years of staying in the same room left him longing for travel, so that was the first thing he would do
"Mark my words when I return...things will be different..."
