A Wonderful Life

Chapter 17: An Android's Travels
A/N: Hey, I'm back from my surprise Hiatus and I sort of missed this story. For those who'd like to know, the pandemic changed things up a bit but nothing too much for me. School is a little harsh and I haven't written in a long time. So, as we left off, I shall resume
While the Dragon team continued with their new daily lives an evil continued it's preparation for destruction...
Nightime lingered as the whole of Capsule Corporation slept. Vegeta and Bulma calmly slumbered as a mysterious shadow lurked in the room, unmoving
Vegeta suddenly awoke to feel a familiar presence, it was a large collective mix of different energy signatures yet it's own at the same time. He looked up to see a 7 foot tall man in a shadow with slightly translucent red eyes
He jumped out bed and transformed into a Super Saiyan, the light emitting from the form revealed the shadow to be Cell, in his perfect form. He wore a creepy and sadistic smirk over his face. What was he doing here?! How was he here?!
"Long time no see. Tell me, has anyone begun to miss me?" Cell questioned, but Vegeta gasped. He was sure that Cell died months ago, but how did he live!?
The prince prepared a ki blast to fire, but before he could release it Cell outstreached his right hand, holding Vegeta in place with his mind. Vegeta's neck tightened a little making it harder to breathe and preventing him from firing his attack or making a sound
"A little on the jump huh? No love for an old 'friend? Or should I say toy?" Cell mused, tightening his hold on Vegeta a little
"How...did...you...live!"
"Well, if you want details, then let me just say... Your little fusion missed a spot." Cell teased as Vegeta grunted in anger. He should've made sure to destroy him properly. "I know, it hit me by surprise as well." Cell began. "Still, someone came by and gave my surviving cell a surge in ki, forcing the rest of me to come out. In exchange they wanted me to do their bidding, so I refused. But came around eventually and was willing to cooperate. Who they are is...a surprise, for now."
"Must be that same bastard who sent those Androids a month ago!"
"But I've stretched this meeting far enough. You'll simply believe that this is a dream, and nothing more...a nightmare of your past." Cell monologued as he tightened his psychic grip on Vegeta's throat
Vegeta saw black dots in his vision as his form was slowing dropping. Eventually he passed out completely, enveloping the room in darkness once again
But the 'dream' didn't end there. Rather, Cell used his telekinetic power to place Vegeta back in bed, making it seem as though he was sleeping the whole time. He waited too long to do something like this, but now that the greater half of a year went by his other half should be coming back soon
"Oh the things he'll do, and hopefully the people he'll bring too. I at least expect Frieza's brother."
Cell stalked after Vegeta's limp body, noticing Bulma by his side. She slept soundly, regardless of what went down, she wasn't even aware that her greatest mistake was staring at her. Cell couldn't help but extend his hidden tail and hang it over the lovely couple. It would be so easy to take them out, just one little stab was all it took
But Cell forced himself away from the impulse. Think of all the fun he'd miss out on? The ability to fight Vegeta one on one and win again? The amount of satisfaction he'd receive when he leveled the planet in front of their faces?
"All in due time...everything to teach those heroes a lesson."
"Sleep tight..." Cell said creepily as tucked the two into bed. All would be in due time. This wait was for an even bigger satisfaction than a simple stab, because these two deserved far more than just a stab
After lingering a bit more Cell walked out the room to find Android 16, standing just outside the room. How or when he realized he was here wasn't important, what was important was why
"You lived."
"And it seems that you're trying to play both sides." Cell responded, surprising 16. He knows?
"Yes, I know. I have private buisness with 21 as well. She told me what you're doing and I hope you know that it won't work."
"I know. It is impossible to discover the truth of the enemy without placing myself in a vulnerable position." 16 confessed. He's thought of this before, and isn't afraid of the risks
"Good to know. Of course you're aware of what you're getting yourself into. Because you're the smart and calculating one." Cell deadpanned as he walked past 16
"Hold on. I must ask. Do you sense the change in 21 as well?" 16 questioned. Cell stopped, but kept his back towards 16. Of all the questions he could ask, why would he ask something so...uninteresting?
"I do, and I'm sure that it will lead to some more interesting events. It's the reason why I'm helping her after all. Hopefully she'll be worth helping in the near future, there's oh so much I can do for her." Cell said, surprising 16 again. "Now, if you excuse me, I have some more buisness to attend to. And be mindful, our paths WILL cross once more."
As Cell walked away, 16 did the same as well, back to his chamber. He had a long day ahead of him, more covering for 21 and more lying
Cell eventually flew out through the hole in the roof of the garden using enough speed to make sure that he wasn't traceable by any cameras, he still wanted to remain a mystery to the Z team, and 16 sure as hell wasn't going to spoil the surprise
But as he flew through the night sky, Prestina stared at the roof of the garden, spotting Cell once more. Her mind picked up the massive amount of stress Vegeta was under and, unable to help herself, made her way to Vegeta's room to check on him
But in seeing her old 'friend' she panicked. Was he here to...finish the job?
Whatever it was couldn't be good, but hopefully...it at least didn't involve her new family
Meanwhile, the original Cell flew through space in search of new playmates...
Cell flew through the galaxy searching for more people to bring to his cause. As he flew he happened to wonder about the clone of his, and what it'll do. Most likely it'll check up on 21, and maybe give Vegeta a scare. It's what he would do. But then again isn't it still him? Just split apart from him? Tien's cloning technique was usually meant to last less than a minute for a quick advantage in numbers, but now this has been going on for months. Questions for later
Currently he had trouble searching for his next target, Turles. He'd been searching for a while now, but he would only ever find a single large tree that resembled the one at the God of Destruction's planet left over from one of his conquests, long dead by then. It would only hold bare remains of the planet's ki, clearly it was the source of the planet's deterioration
However, his luck would finally change once he found a pink planet, one that wasn't marked on any of Frieza's old maps. The planet also had the tree covering it, and it was still alive. Meaning only that Turles had just landed less than a day ago
"Ah the Tree of Might. There's nothing about that seed that I know of, and Frieza's well informed about any mystical and magical relic that could pose a threat." Cell thought to himself as he flew, as he did he found that the planet had many familiar energies. They felt just like Buu and Prestina's energy signatures, oddly enough
"If this is what I think it is then I may have hit the biggest discovery of my journey."
Cell landed within a light pink colored grassland to see everything on fire. There were a few bodies scattered on the ground, and each was of the Majin race, just like Buu and Prestina. However, none of them were dead, they were all surprisingly clinging to life
"Now this is a surprise, it seems that I've stumbled upon their race. Interesting..." Cell spoke aloud as he looked. There were was an abundance of brightly colored people like Prestina and Buu, though their skins colors weren't limited to pink, rather every and any color one could think of
Everyone wore the same clothing as the other two Majins, or a variation of it, a back vest and/or tube shirt with baggy white pants. The inhabitants aside, there were many primitive looking tents and huts with wells that burned to the ground, seems like this civilization wasn't as advanced
"That'd explain Prestina's curiosity towards the cities, she's never seen one like it." Cell concluded as he looked around, though his observation contrasted the few concrete, three to five story building he spotted a few miles off. They were obviously foreign compared to the rest of the landscape, but how so? Clearly Prestina never saw one in her life before she was captured. Maybe her planet was evolving in the time that she'd left
Cell temporarily put his thoughts aside as he flew up to a random Majin who seemed to be limping towards a tent
"Let me help you." He said as he supported the slim, bright blue skinned man with rubber-like skin. Cell gently grabbed his arm and helped him down to the floor, extending his right hand as it glowed a light green. Soon the man stopped breathing heavily and all the small gashes on his body faded away from sight, fully healed. His eyes opened fully to reveal his black eyes with white pupils
"Thank you...kind stranger." The man said as he then stood up properly, only to notice who helped him. He wore a black vest with baggy white pants, and he had a large tentacle on the back of his head stretching down to his back. Just like Prestina, he had shaggy 'hair' that was made from his body as well to simulate hair
"No problem. In exchange, I would like you to tell me. What's going on here?" Cell asked with fake worry, he wanted to see if he could probe information from the man
"It's a disaster!" The man panicked. "A lone saiyan came along mere hours ago and planted that large tree that seems to be absorbing the planet's life! Not only that, he's far more powerful than any of us. Luckily our healing factors have kept him at bay, and no one has died yet. But if this goes on we won't last a day!"
"So it seems I have to save this planet. Well, this is a strange turn of events, playing hero and all." Cell chuckled as he began to float
It wasn't exactly his obligation to save this planet, but something deep within compelled him too. Obviously it was to keep Turles in one place, but there was something else he was forgetting...
"But if it makes you feel any better, I'm certain that you will see your family, one way or another."
"Oh, that offhanded promise I made..." He realized. It was so long since he made it he almost forgot about it
At the time Cell was serious about having Prestina meet her family again, it was going to be something he'd get around to doing once he grew bored or stumbled upon the planet with Buu and Prestina in tow. But now, he didn't know if he was being serious at all, if he lied. Prestina turned against him, Buu died, and he was currently occupied with something else. Was there really time for him to see out some silly promise?
"Well...it is within my power that I reunite the two. Earth is mere weeks from here at my highest speed, and if I don't see to it then I'd be a lier." He rationalized."Hm...then I should see to it that a promise is completed, else what are promises for if they never happen? I'd be known for my empty threats and lies if I didn't make sure everything I say is done." He settled. He was certain that they would meet, so why not make sure it was?
"I see, thank you. I'll personally deal with the Saiyan." Cell stated as he then flew towards the largest power level on the planet, aside from the tree
After a few minutes of flying he landed to find a lone Saiyan in a stand off with five Majins, all five were heavily injured, but nothing fatal. Even then, Cell couldn't imagine what a fatal wound would look like on a race that could regenerate from thin air if need be
The Saiyan Pirate of Cell's search wore Saiyan armor that was colored a dark purple along with purple boots and purple gauntlets, a cracked scouter and black underwear. However, the armor was torn and broken in places. The most noticeable feature was that he looked almost identical to Goku, although, his skin was a dark shade of grey instead of the pale skin color
He was sweating heavily, and there was the core of a fruit on the floor next to him. He also had bags under his eyes that showed he hadn't slept in a while, which would make things far easier for Cell
Cell landed in front of him, surprising everyone around. "So, you're the famed Saiyan outlaw. I've been following you for a while but you're always so quick to leave."
"My my, and what do we have here? It seems we have an unexpected visitor. All of you will live for now." Turles told the five majin warriors. They seemed sketchy at first, but they then felt Cell's power and trusted that he deal with the Saiyan, not that they had much of a choice anyway. They all flew away as they clutched their bodies in pain
"Now then, what do you want with me? Came to take me out for a bounty? I'm sure we can negotiate." Turles said as he stood tall and crossed his arms, trying his best to look in control
Turles tried not to look the part, but fighting an endless amount of those cheating bastards has really tired him out. The only reason why he's still fighting is because none of the creatures were even close to as powerful as he was, not to mention that he had to contstantly use his ace in the hole for stamina
"Oh don't worry, I didn't come for your head. I do, however, have business with this planet. So, seeing as how your power is dropping rapidly and I have a superior level of power, I'm fairly certain that you have no say in the matter." Cell threatened. Turles chuckled at the response, now he was getting full of himself
"Oh really now? Then how about you show me what you've got." Turles taunted as he held both of his arms in front of his face for his fighting pose
"Very well then." Cell said before he yelled to power up, casually breaking Turles' scouter in the process. Cell then confidently mirrored Turles' pose to mock him
The evil Saiyan dashed forward, cocking back his right arm while Cell dashed forward to mirror his same motion. The two met and fiercely clashed their fists against one another, creating a shockwave before they brought their other arms and punched the other's fists. The two stubborn warriors locked their hands together and began raising their power as high as they could in order to ward off the other
Cell was impressed by the Saiyan, at his current state of power would be able to easily beat 17 or 18 separately, maybe even one of the stronger fighters at Super Saiyan 2. Still, if he hadn't created his clone he would have access to enough power to knock Turles out with one blow. The two matched their ki equally, but Cell's abilities make it impossible for anyone to defeat him as an equal
Turles smirked before he violently bashed his forehead against Cell's head, which failed to stun Cell. The Android retaliated by bashing his head against Turles', dazing him a little
"Hah, nice try, but it'll take more than that to shake me!" Cell boasted as he bashed his head against Turles a few more times, further dazing him
He then jerked his arms downwards, bringing Turles down along with them. He slammed his right knee against Turles' chest, knocking the air out of him. He finished by spinning violently him before throwing the man at full force
Cell chased after Turles and eventually caught up to him. As Cell circled around him like a hawk he bombarded him with ki attacks, keeping Turles suspended in the air. After a full minute Cell found himself in front of the Tree of Might. Grabbing Turles by the back of his armor he used the momentum of their flight to ram him against the giant trunk of the tree, the force of the impact was that greater than a gunshot against concrete
Cell backed away from Turles to observe the 'Tree of Might' as it's called. The tree itself was nothing like the one from Beerus' planet. This one felt 'poisonous' in a sense. Cell wasn't sure if the tree was supposed to give off ki, the other one didn't, but there was a strange presence like there was supposed to be energy, almost like it was purposely invisible in a sense. But this one was the exact opposite of divine, Cell could feel the energy of the planet flowing into it like a steady stream
"So this is the famed Tree of Might. It's much smaller than what they say. Is it because it's only recently been planted?" Cell asked, but Turles took a second to catch his breath, the impact of the latest attack landed square on his chest, so it was easy to say the wind was knocked out of him
"It's struggling to collect the energy of this planet. *Inhale* It seems that the locals are attempting to use their Ki to ward off the Tree's absorption." Turles explained as he slowly floated towards a nearby fruit that hanged from a branch. It was red and slightly spiky, but most importantly it held a massive amount of the planet's Ki
Cell observed with amusement as Turles snatched the fruit and looked at it. "This one should do it." He said as he then took many large bites off of the fruit, leaving only the core. He swallowed hard and lightly punched his chest as the contents of the fruit painfully went down his throat. Suddenly, Turles exploded with power as his overall strength grew slightly
What surprised Cell, however, was that Turles only absorbed a very small percentage of power, and Turles still looked exhausted
"Looks like the 'apple' is rejecting you. You only received a mild portion of it's collected Ki." Cell said as Turles chuckled, this stranger caught on too quickly
"You have a great eye. I've been using the tree so much that my damn body has gotten used to its power! But that poses no problem to me." Turles said as he charged up all his power and dashed after Cell again
Cell blocked an incoming punch, but was suddenly flanked and met with a boot to the back of his skull, creating a ringing sound in his mind. After a few attacks hit their marks Turles punched Cell's face with full force, sending him spinning violently towards the tree
Cell's back slammed against the tree, and he was soon met with a knee to the gut, making him hunch over in sharp pain, guess he let his guard down. Turles brought both his hands and slammed them against Cell's back, sending him flying towards the ground a mile below
Turles laughed as he outstretched his left hand and shot several curved, purple beams after Cell. Each blast landed destroying the ground that surrounded Cell, as well as a portion of his body. The pirate flew to the ground to see Cell recovering in a cloud of dust. He had a few missing limbs and he struggled to stand. Turles was cocky now that he saw his opponent in such a state. This is the end!
"You surprised me there. But it looks like I'm going to win now." Cell stated before all his missing limbs jerked out of his body in a coat of slim, stunning Turles. He can recover as well!!
Turles quickly brought both his hands in front of him to create an electric yellow circle of Ki using the rest of his power in a desperate attempt to defeat Cell. "HAA!" He yelled as he brought both hands forward, and sending the attack speeding after Cell
"Big Bang attack!" Cell yelled as he sent out a large sphere of blue Ki from his right arm. Soon the circle and the sphere clashed together as both warriors struggled to overpower the other, Turles more so than Cell
"It's over!!" Cell yelled as he poured a massive amount of hidden power into his blast, forcing the circle to stretch around the sphere before it exploded and created a large dust cloud
Turles stood in place, he spent every ounce of power he had left in the attack, there's no telling what would happen now. Suddenly, Cell's attack quickly flew at him from the dust
Turles could only bring his arms up to form a weak guard. The ball met and clashed with him for a few seconds before exploding, sending Turles flying away. He fell limp, unable to move as Cell flew after him
"It seems...this is the end of me..." Turles said as he fell asleep in place, believing himself to be dead
When Cell landed next to him he checked to see if he overdid it, and luckily the man was only asleep. To be expected when you take too much damage while sleepless
"Great, now I have to babysit." Cell thought in annoyance as he floated in a meditative stance near where Turles sat. He was here to collect him for his journey, maybe force him into a path to Earth. Instead, he had to waste time waiting for him to recover from their little spat
"I'm surprised, by the looks of it he's been snacking on that fruit for years. And now look at him, just as strong as Gohan and Trunks, maybe even Vegeta. Makes one wonder what it'd do for me..." Cell mused to himself, until he swatted away the idea. "Never mind, I've earned my power the hard way, I won't stop now."
As much as Cell hated his life of torture, there was a sort of...pride that he had. Not in the sense that he was glad or even remotely appreciative of his life, but there was a strong connection between the pain that he experienced and the power he held now. It was because of his pain that he was able to become as strong as he needed to escape the life he suffered from. His pain that he held tight was the only thing what drove him
Because his pain was his and his alone, no one else's. This pain was the only thing he held close to him, for he had nothing else
It took Cell over an hour to realize that Turles' lack of sleep, combined with his extreme exhaustion meant that he'll be asleep for a long while, to his annoyance. He had places to go, and yet he was sitting still when he could just leave
"Patience, it's all for a good cause." Cell thought as he picked up Turles' body and sought for his ship
Before he did so, however, he shot down the Tree of Might, killing it and releasing it's held power. It was the second step to his 'promise' that he made, can't have the planet wither away before it served it's use
It took Cell ten full minutes before he found Turles' ship. It was a simple large sphere with thin metal legs that acted like spider legs. The legs bent to allow the base to land on the ground. There was a purple circle on the face of it, probably the door
The ship was surrounded by a large dune that was likely caused by it's crash. And around that landing site were four Majins holding guard, in the case that Turles needed to retreat
"Do the Majins really have so few warriors?" Cell though as he landed in front of the soldiers, each one looking up to see him carrying their enemy's body over his shoulder
"On part of my friend here I'm sorry for the trouble he's caused. However, I would appreciate it if you would all get out of my way." Cell said nicely yet threateningly. Sadly, rather than leave the warriors all raised their guards to fight
"Well it seems you've caught me in a good mood. So I'll let you live...barely." Cell said in annoyance as he then shot four Ki blasts. All four Majins held up a guard as they struggled to withstand the balls of Ki from going straight through them
Cell flew up towards the door of the ship, past the Majins as they struggled to hold the attacks back. He broke the door down and entered the ship. It had a large control panel at the front of the room, and a large window in front of it that was blacked out by what was likely the ship's armor plating. At the right there were two couches beside each other, and there was a wall with a door at the left likely leading to the living quarters and the restroom
Cell placed Turles on a random couch before flying out to see all the Majins still struggling to fight off the basic Ki blasts
"Ah, you all stood your ground. I'll be sure to pick up the pace then." Cell said as he manually blew up all the blasts, turning all the Majins into mush
Cell decided to stand half a mile in front of the ship as the Majins began to reform their bodies, in order to draw their attention away from the ship. After a many seconds of reforming they looked over to see Cell with his arms crossed
"Want to try again? I'll be sure to make it easier." Cell shouted to get their attention, followed by many figures flying after him at full speed
Two of the fighters jumped upwards in an attempt to flank Cell, but instead he lifted his hands to shoot two Ki blasts that hit both of the Majins, blasting them out of the air and crashing to the ground
The other two took the opportunity to land a few ineffective punches on Cell, none of them even triggered Cell's numbness. He let them hit him for a few more seconds before he kicked them away. The other two recovered from their falling and dashed forward as the first two recovered and began to shoot Ki blasts. One of the women in front of him flanked him while the other woman took charge and began to attack Cell from the front
"For a race that presumably doesn't see much combat...they seem to have near perfect fighting forms."
Soon Cell was under attack from all sides as he completely stood still. His beating from Turles may have increased his power a little, but everyone was far below his power regardless
"Welp, it seems this is becoming a bore so I'll do this the suspenseful way." Cell said as he lifted up a single finger
Suddenly, it seemed as if he disappeared and was now behind one of the Majins in the air. He shot several thin beams that exploded instead of piercing the body, and continued as the Majin stood in pain
"So they do experience pain, I was beginning to believe that they don't feel anything." He thought as the other Majins looked over and began their fierce assault against Cell. But no matter what they did they could never stop Cell's assault against the single Majin
After a full minute Cell stopped. Everyone turned to see the Majin fall to the floor tiredly and full of pain, bearing many burn marks all over his body
"Oh and by the way, I'm well aware of your powers. It's either beat you all to near death or vaporize you at once, isn't it?" He asked, getting many concerned looks. "And since I want to do this the fun way..."
The last three hesitated before continuing another assault, no matter what happens they can't let this threat run rampant. This time Cell only let the assault last for a minute before he dashed forward in yet another persecution
He quickly dashed forward and punched a fat, red male Majin violently in the gut. He then flipped over him as he sent thin Ki beams towards the single Majin that exploded on impact as he spun in the air
Cell landed behind the man and kicked his back violently, which would've had enough power to break his spine if they had one. He suddenly appeared in front of him to sock him in the face at full force in an almost cartoonish sort of way. The sheer power of the blow dazed the Majin as Cell flew upwards. The other two Majin only barely realized what was happening as they saw another teammate fly helplessly. Cell's assault was so fast that the other two Majins could barely even react
"Double Sunday!" Cell yelled as he brought both hands downwards and sent two large purple beams towards the remaining soldiers. One hit the dazed Majin, exploding on contact and cutting the beam short. The dazed man fell to the floor unconscious, overwhelmed by the powerful blows that should've broken his body had it not been made entirely of putty-like skin
The other beam hit one of the other Majins, a woman. The beam pushed against her guard for a second before exploding, sending her to the ground as well. However, she was still conscious and she struggled to recover from the power of the attack, her nerves worked against her because of the electricity of the beam
Cell appeared behind the final untouched Majin and blasted him through the chest with another beam. The man's body regenerated the missing piece only for Cell to shoot down a leg. For a full minute Cell shoot down a limb of the man, getting slower at recovering his limbs for every new one that recovered. The other Majin was helpless as she witnessed her friend be the receiver for this, this...torture
After a minute Cell stopped to see the man's leg was still gone. He flew forward and floated in front of the man to meet his tired, hateful gaze. He taped the man's chest, pushing him slightly backwards in the air. The red skinned man was suspended in the air before he slowly began to fall, picking up speed every second before he finally landed on the floor with a hard thud
Cell flew down to meet the last Majin, who panted heavily. Strangely enough, she looked almost exactly like Prestina, except her skin was a darker shade of pink and her eyes were white with blue pupils. The similarities were almost uncanny, but Cell put them aside for the moment as he stalked the recovering warrior
"So, has this built any suspense for you?" Cell mocked as the woman outstretched her right hand. Suddenly, a thin blade of Ki enveloped her hand and stopped short a couple inches, creating a glowing short sword for her right hand
"Ah, you have an ace in the hole? Then this is slightly more entertaining." Cell mocked as the woman dashed forward with killing intent. Cell dodged all of her sloppy slashes, noticing her lack of proper form. By the looks of it she lacked a form that utilized the blade effectively, opting to make easily avoidable slashes and stabs
"She's not used to using deadly force I'd imagine. Strange, aren't her people immune to being torn apart?"
She attempted to stab his chest, but rather than dodge Cell simply held his right hand over his heart and detained the blade with his palm. However, the woman poured all of her power into the blade as it drove through his hand and into his heart. The woman looked at Cell's blank face for various seconds before coming to the horrific realization that the attack did nothing
"I applaud you. If I didn't have the ability to regenerate then this would've been lethal." He praised as he drove the stabbed hand forward and grabbed her hand, moving it out of the way as the blade disappeared. The Majin fell to the floor on her knees as she panted heavily from her exhaustion
"Finally willing to give in? About time." He sighed, the battle was entertaining, but ultimately not worth the while
"We won't...let you...ruin our...planet." She huffed, trying to stand once again but her legs only felt static and the force behind them was not enough to lift her
"Oh don't worry, the tree has been taken care of." He assured her. "And I'm not here for a simple conquest either."
"Then what are you here for?" She questioned, trying to appear tough by controlling her huffing, but Cell could see through her anyway
"Questions, and answers."
"And what makes you think I'll answer them?" She challenged. Although she was at his mercy, she wasn't willing to give up any important information so easily
"Tsk, stubborn one too."
Cell pointed his palm towards a fallen Majin ally. "I could start with him?" He threatened, making her heart skip a beat, he didn't come all this way just for some brat to deny him
"Fine! Fine...what do you want to know?" The woman asked as Cell sat in a meditative stance in front of her, pretending to think of what he was going to ask
"Well I have two questions. The first is what do you know of the Majins Buu and Prestina?" Cell asked as the woman sat down properly in front of Cell
"Why do you ask?" She said, though by how her ears perked up it appears she knows both of them
"Because I've met the two." Cell said, the woman was shocked
"Wait, you've seen Prestina?!" She asked, to Cell's annoyance, though it did get him thinking
"My questions first." He said as the woman eased up, trying her best to seem hospitable
"Well, Buu is our great ancestor." She began, surprising Cell. "Long ago, the great Majin Buu ripped pieces of his skin away, creating children in his image. Sadly, he was captured by an evil force only a millennium ago and was sent down a dark path
"So that's explain why Prestina was familiar with him. He's her great grandfather! To think that the same force that captured him would also capture her as well. Then again, she does have an incredible amount of power" Cell thought to himself. Gauging by his own power, Prestina was still many times stronger than the other Majins, though she doesn't really display it
"And Prestina...she's my sister..." The Majin revealed, somewhat shocking Cell
"Her sister? At least that makes my job easier, though it would've helped if we hadn't started on the wrong foot."
"Over a century ago she disappeared and we never heard from her since. And it's not like I can go out and search the Galaxy for clues." She said as she looked down at the ground in sadness, it's been a literal century since she heard from her sister, the mere mention started to tear through her old wounds
"I just...I gave up looking a long time ago I...I don't know what to say..." She cried, trying to hold back sobs, but her relief was just immeasurable
"Pres...you're alive!!" She thought to herself, there was just no telling what she's seen and done all this time
"Riiiight, I have one more question. Why are there buildings here?" Cell asked as the woman looked up to see the distant structures. "By what I've assumed this is a backwater planet, in fact parts of this planet still live in huts and tents."
"Almost a decade ago, when the Cooler force became more widespread, they decided to give us more advanced materials in exchange for our loyalty to his army. Eventually, his men built a town in the center of the planet full of his soldiers and he sends a blue man with a strange haircut to check up on us every year." The woman explained, retaining her cries and wiping away her tears, she couldn't break face now, not in front of th
"I see, so he's different from his brother." Cell remarked to himself
"Rather than exterminate them at once Cooler would rather make an alliance with them, clearly he's different from his brother. Surely if Frieza even suspected that these creatures were immortal then he'd blow them to hell with no second thought."
"But now answer my question. How do you know Buu and Prestina?" The Majin demanded, to which Cell responded in kind
"Nearly a year ago the wizard Babidi came to Earth to inherit a gift from his father Bibidi. Long story short he helped me come out of my shell and I helped him open the pods that contained his greatest warriors...Majins Buu and Prestina."
"I-is my sister okay!? Is she hurt?! Did you do anything to her!?"
"Easy with the accusations." Cell remarked. "Buu was disintegrated in a final clash against my worst enemies. But fortunately for your sister, she joined them. As of now I'm pretty sure she's been exploring the planet ever since." Cell said to the woman's excitement
"Oh Kami... She's alive!!" The woman exclaimed in joy, the amount of relief she felt toppled her need to compose herself, regardless of Cell's position
"Yes, I'm sure that's marvelous, but I'm afraid your uses are over." Cell said as he suddenly extended his right hand towards her
She gasped, a wave of fear enveloped her and all of her excitement dropped. She covered her face with her hands as a way of protection. However, rather than meet her untimely end her wounds were instead being slowly healed as she was enveloped by a bright green aura. After many seconds her wounds were healed back to full health, and her energy was replenished
"There, now you can leave to tell the tale. Maybe call for backup, I'd love to see you all try to best me once more." Cell suggested. "Ooor..."
"Or what?" The Majin asked
"Listen...um"
"Chocolata, my name is Chocolata."
"Right! See here's the deal 'Chocolata.' I made a promise to your sister, a very special one. And since I'm a man of my word I wanted to see if you were willing to say...travel to Earth to see your long lost sibling." Cell suggested, shocking Chocolata. "I mean, it's no big deal really, you could always stay here and-"
"I'll do it! I'll do it. When do we leave?" The woman jumped to her feet, her heart raced by Cell's words. Was this it? Was this her bug break?
"Hm, very well. I myself am busy with a separate matter, but I have one idea..."
With that Cell extended his hidden tail from his body. He began painfully grunting and forcing himself until finally...a blue pod shot out from his tail
"Um..."
"Give him a moment."
After a few seconds the blue pod unraveled itself from its cocoon state and revealed itself to be a version of Cell, only blue and many times smaller. The creature jumped to it's feet and began looking around curiously
"This here is my child, call him Cell Jr. or whatever you wish." Cell said as he patted the head of his 'son.'"He will be your guide to Earth, and you need not worry about him, he takes care of himself."
Chocolata took a second to fully process the sudden birth of a 'child' before continuing with her questions. "H-how long will it take?"
"Judging by your power, as well as any potential stops along the way... I'd wager a full month in space. That's with maybe...two to three pit stops a day?" Cell gauged, in truth he wasn't sure if it was even necessary for her to eat, and if it was there were plenty of those space stops like before for her to catch a break
"With that said, I suppose this is goodbye. For now at least." Cell immediately dismissed himself, seeing that his objective was complete
"Wait! I have one more question!" She yelled. Cell stopped walking and turned around
"Well what is it?"
"...Why are you doing this?! Why're you helping me after all of this! Why do something like this to us? Why spare us..?" She asked as Cell smirked. He understood what she meant, but it didn't make things any less funny
"For fun!!"
"...fun?"
Cell sighed to himself before fully facing Chocolata. She was the first ever that he's had to explain himself to, which made things a bit frustrating
"What I do is my business and my business alone. Helping you reunite with your sister is simply something I was willing to do for the both of you. Otherwise...you'd do well not to become my enemy. If you know what's good for you."
Chocolata took a moment to analyze Cell's response, before raising her guard once again. She fully understood what he was saying, and given that he displayed his duality once already, she didn't need any further explanation
This man, or whatever he was, did what he wanted whenever he wanted. Chocolata was lucky to not have been blasted away on sight, let alone get the most important lead of her life in her search for her sister. Cell was her 'friend' for now, and hopefully she wouldn't end up on the wrong side again
"I see. Still...thank you." She thanked before flying away with the Cell Jr. in tow
Cell watched Chocolata leave with a sense of joy, having completed his promise. Out of sheer kindness and ego Cell was willing to do a small favor for an ex-ally, but seeing the effects of his actions brought a subtle smile to his face
"One less item off the list..."
Cell waited just outside of Turles' ship for hours in a meditative stance as he waited for Turles to awake
Eventually there came many figures from the direction of the planet's nearest town. Many Majins with stretchers arrived and helped carry the fallen bodies back homes. They all looked over to stare at Cell with angered faces before leaving, both knowing that it was him that put these fellow Majins into critical condition and because he stood guard in front of their invader's ship
All except two, who flew towards Cell and landed just in front of him. One man and one woman. The man was slim and fit, he wore the same outfit as Buu as well as his physique when he was in his evolved state, but unlike Buu his ears were square, and his neck was of normal thickness. His eyes were white with blue pupils, and the tentacle on his head was very small. He also had dark purple skin, and his hands only had three large fingers
The woman looked identical to Prestina, except she had a small golden ring that acted like an ear piercing on one ear. Her skin that looked like hair created a sort of bun, and three short strands of 'hair' came out of the bun. She also had two very small bangs of hair that were over her forehead. Aside from her obvious resemblance to Prestina she also had her eyes and skin tone
"If you want to fight me then you've caught me in a bad mood." Cell warned impatiently as he felt the two stand before him. All this waiting made him antsy, and patience was running thin
"Actually we're not here to fight." The male Majin stated. "My name is Lamp and this is my wife Caramela...the parents of Prestina." The man said as Cell opened his eyes in both amusement and surprise. How could he be so careless? He berated himself once already for giving the wrong impression, and he was doing it again already
"Ah I see. Forgive my rudeness, I misjudged you two." Cell apologized before he stood and did his signature bow. "My name is Cell." Cell said as he shook hands with Lamp
The two were taken aback by his hospitality, Chocolata herself said that he was the one who knocked three people unconscious and nearly killed them. This was the same guy correct?
"Is there anything I may help you with?"
"Um, we heard a lot from our Chocolata but we just wanted to know for ourselves...is our daughter okay?" Caramela worried as she held hands with her husband, both tense and holding their breaths
"I see." Cell remarked, so that's what they wanted. "Last I checked she was reluctantly fighting against me along with my enemies, the Z fighters."
"Will she be alright!" Lamp interrupted, the anxiety took him over, but Cell allowed it
"Worry not, she's in...good hands, I suppose." He complemented reluctantly...for the sake of his argument of course. "I have no clue as to what her current state is, but I'm sure she's doing well on her own."
"It's good to know that she's alright... Oh we miss her so much!" Caramela cried as she hugged her husband
"Did she say anything about us?"
"Hm... As it happens she did." Cell said. "She was worried that she'd never get to see you again. Fortunately for her, I was able to prevent that." He gloated
The two parents took an emotional second to cry to themselves, both happy and sad that they've missed their daughter for so long. They too believed that they'd never see each other again, and luckily for them, this nice bug-man helped reunite them, despite his initial standing
"Thank you, thank you so much for your kindness, we don't know how to repay you!" The two pleaded, trying to hug Cell, though even he had to draw the line
"N-no no no, your, um, happiness is payment enough!" He lied and faked a smile, hoping that the two would leave
Luckily for Cell, the two left after a few more heartfelt thank yous, to his dismay. It was like he wasn't fighting their daughter mere hours ago, and they seemed to have thrown away the part where Prestina fought against him too
"I suppose when you've waited years to see your precious daughter again, the how and what tend to get lost in the excitement." Cell concluded. "Still...I'm glad to see them treat me like their savior. Almost makes my next plan a little hurtful."
With his promise fulfilled there was nothing left to stop Cell from fully raiding the Earth as he intended, except two more things. Whether Prestina or her family were there didn't matter, what did was that Cell get his revenge in full
"It was fun while it lasted, but it's about time I have a different type of fun."
Cell patiently waited two whole days while Turles slept. In that time he felt four power levels leave the planet. They felt to be the power of Choclata, Lamp, Caramela, and the Cell Jr, quickly flying in the direction of Earth. Otherwise nothing happened as Cell waited
Turles finally awoke from his long sleep, grogy and confused. He immediately turned from his spot in the couch to see that the door was gone, and there was a large green man meditating just outside. Was that really a dream?
Turles cautiously flew over to meet with Cell, who was fully aware that he was awake now. But he tried to hide how impatient and bored he'd gotten in waiting
"Does the baby need another nap?"
"I'm not sure who this man is but I can't fully trust him." Turles thought as he flew towards Cell
"Who're you and what do you want me for?"
"A little jumpy I see. No matter. My name is Cell and I've been searching for you for quite a while." Cell explained, getting straight to the point
"I see. What do you want? I assume you haven't come to kill me?"
"You're correct. I've come to recruit you for my lovely cause of invading the Earth." Cell stated honestly, catching Turles off guard. "Also, didn't you have a crew?" Cell asked, but Turles was only able to process one thing at a time
"...That's not important. Why are you asking me to invade some ball of dirt?" He asked. Last Turles checked, Frieza died there, along with his father, and he wasn't looking to be the third victim to whatever power was harbored there
"Because I have a grudge with a Saiyan. You might know him as Prince Vegeta. And, I'm not too sure if the name 'Kakarot rings any bells."
"Of course the Prince survived. Why wouldn't he." Turles chuckled bitterly. He didn't exactly think too kindly of that brat. "But, I'm not too sure about the other one."
"Figures, last I remember he was a higher low class warrior, his name wouldn't be on much of anyone's minds."
"Yes. I'm also curious about something. I'm aware that you 'stole' the seeds to the Tree of Might. But what have you been doing throughout all this time that you've had them?" Cell questioned, forcing a laugh from Turles, this man really was nosey. But given that he kicked his ass just a while ago he wasn't willing enough to refuse him
"I simply want to take what's mine. For far too long I've lived under the rule of others and gotten nothing in return." Turles gladly recounted. "However, since then I've broken many laws and gained much power over time. Eventually, Frieza died to another Saiyan and things were made easier. However, since I lost my crew I've been unable to sleep without something trying to kill me." Turles complained as Cell chuckled
"Then I see we have much in common." Cell responded as he stood from his meditative position. "Well then, your temporary alliance for a good time?" Cell asked as he outstreached his hand. Turles looked down suspiciously, he's been in this same spot before. And where did that get him?
"Only if you help me get there, and solve my sleeping problem. Wouldn't want an ally of yours dying of fatigue would you?" He bargained
"Easy enough." Cell responded and in no time he created another Cell Jr., surprising Turles
"This little guy will make sure that you get enough sleep." Cell explained before outstretching his hand once again. "Do we have a deal?"
Turles took many moments to think before he smirked, shaking Cell's hand. Well, maybe this would change things up a bit
"Deal."
"Wonderful! And one last thing." Cell said before he brought both hands to the hinges of the broken door. His hands glowed as metal appeared from his hands and reconstructed itself as the new door, further surprising Turles
"Right then, off we go!" Cell exclaimed as he slammed the door shut, leaving Turles to himself
"That is...the second strangest person I've ever met." He thought before he walked to the ship's control panel, followed closely by the Cell Jr.
"Ya?" The little guy babbled
"...Hm, this will certainly be a change of pace."
"It looks like negotiations were short." Cell thought to himself as he flew away from the planet, now fully complete with his objectives
"Just one more ally, and I should be done."
*FLASH FORWARD*
A few weeks passed since Cell's encounter with the Majin's home world. He traveled nonstop as he headed for his next target. Luckily he knew exactly where it, or he, was located, curtesy of a map he spotted from within a passing planet
Cell eventually found a large green planet that had silver patches on it, signaling that he was at the right spot. He raised his power to a noticeable amount before he landed in front of a large castle, hoping that it had Its intended effect
The castle was large, and very advanced in technology. It looked more like buildings massed together and reformed to create a castle astetic, for it was mainly of concrete and sliver metal. There were also a few guard posts on the large metallic walls as well. There was a large set of iron doors at the front of the castle as well
Audacious structure aside the castle walls were also surrounded by various buildings of the same concrete and metal aesthetic, making the area look like a vast city of iron with a very large castle as it's centerpiece.
"He always had a strange affinity for anything made of metal." Cell thought to himself as he waited in front of it."So how do I want to play it this time? Invasive or friendly?"
Suddenly, hundreds of soldiers opened the doors of the castle and flew after him. Soon hundreds of men and women, each of different races, surrounded him, all pointing various types of blasters at him. Some even simply extended a hand towards him
"FREEZE IN THE NAME OF LORD COOLER YOU ARE SENTENCED TO DEATH!!!"
"On what charge?"
"FOR WALKING STRAIGHT INTO THE HEART OF THE GALAXY WITHOUT NOTICE!! SUCH AN OFFENSE CAN AND WILL BE TAKEN AS A THREAT!!"
"Now that is ludicrous. For I simply want to have a word with him. I bear no harm nor malicious intent towards your leader." Cell said aloud, though there was no convincing the battle-ready foot soldiers
"I suppose Cooler had the same generals as Frieza, always quick to the trigger and never asking questions."
"READY!?! AIM!!..." The man on speakerphone began as many guns cocked and loaded, and many hands began to glow different colors
"Well it seems I just HAVE no choice but to defend myself." Cell thought as he crossed his arms
"FIRE!!!!" The man yelled as suddenly every last soldier fired upon Cell. Many different colored beams, balls of ki and lasers hit Cell all throughout his body. However, the only thing this did was chip away at his body. Except the lasers, for those all pierced through his natural Ki barrier and through his body
"Guess technology evolved enough for those pea shooters to actually sting now."
Cell simply gathered a large amount of Ki within the chaos. He threw his left hand up into the sky with an open palm. The motion released his stored Ki, creating a large and explosive gust of wind that quickly spread outwards. Every blast, beam and ball of ki exploded upon contact, and soon the gust of wind reached the soldiers. The winds ripped apart armor and clothing as it killed or gravely injured the soldiers as easily as a blender would vegetables
Just as all the soldiers fell to the ground, a single man had quickly flown through the doors, sweating and stressed. He was blue skinned with short blonde hair that all curved to his right. He wore a green scouter and he wore a purple, skin tight suit that was covered at the chest with green armor and a single orange shoulder pauldron. He also wore white boots and gloves, and the abdomen area of the armor was black with a familiar crest on it, the Cooler force elite
The man landed just infront of Cell and bowed his head out of orders, fear or both
"On behalf of the whole of the Cooler force you have my deepest apologies for the way you were greeted." The man apologized
"Don't bother, they were all in their right minds. I simply came to have a word with your leader, personally." Cell said as the man picked his head up, dripping with sweat
"Certainty, Lord Cooler requested that you see him. Now, I shall guide you to his throne room right away." The man said as he walked inside the castle
Cell followed as they went through the large castle. The inside was large and spacious, with many expensive looking decor. But for the new 'emperor of the galaxy' it was surprisingly modest. Although, what it traded in boastfulness it received in cleanliness and order. The two went through a large, shiny staircase before finding a large set of doors. The man opened the doors to reveal the throne room
At the left there was a large screen that displayed a map of an unknown location. At the right there were two more men who stood still. Both wore the same outfit as the Blue man, except one had green skin and was large while the other was much wrinklier and had brown skin
At the center was a throne in which Cooler sat upon, made of iron and silver with a few shiny jewels rather than gold or raw diamond. He was in his final form, which looked similar to Frieza's. However, he was purple skinned, with white armored skin only on his lower legs, torso, forearms and head. His face was purple with red checks, also, he had red eyes and a purple armored bean piece at his forehead. He looked just like Cell remembered him, calm, calculating and above all else, incredibly sure of himself
He looked down upon a glass tablet that showed another map with figures on it, most likely reviewing planets under his jurisdiction
"Your guest has arrived Lord Cooler." The blue man announced as he bowed. He then walked right beside the throne as Cooler looked up to see Cell. The Android did his signature bow, to which Cooler tipped his head respectively and stood from the throne
"Ah, you must be our intruder. I am very sorry for the way my men reacted, I'll have the fool who issued the order executed for his inhospitality." Cooler assured, but Cell only laughed. Just as he remembered him. "I must introduce myself." Cooler said as he shook hands with Cell
"I am Lord Cooler, as you may have heard. And I have seen something in you, my dear brother's power. As well as my father's and Saiyan power too. If you were to be so kind, explain to me why is this?"
"Hm, now I don't remember him learning how to sense ki, guess it came as part of his 'evolution' of sorts."
By what Cell could remember from Frieza and king Cold, Cooler was...a strange case. Rather than sit comfortably and live a life hand-fed to him through his father, he believed in evolution and survival. Instead of take a portion of the empire that was given to him, he instead took two of his most loyal followers, crafted them into the most powerful squadron he could and set off without a word. Kami knows how much he's worked to become the man he was now
"Well, to put it simply, I'm an artificial life form that has the DNA of Frieza and King Cold, as well as that of the Dragon team, a force of warriors that defeated your brother on Earth many years ago. Now I roam around the galaxy." Cell explained in a nutshell, to Cooler's fascination
"An artificial life form you say. That explains it."
"Though, I am curious. How were you able to create such a vast empire?" Cell questioned, making Cooler chuckle
"When I heard that father and brother died to some Saiyan in a dirt ball world I was compelled to see how strong this force was. But instead I decided that it was high time I create an empire from own two hands, and it so happened that the recent power vacuum made it easier for me."
"Hm, But if I know you well enough, and I do, you don't accept anything that isn't a challenge." Cell added, making Cooler laugh. Guess he did have the Frieza in him
"Well...I wouldn't say it was easy, loyalist here, revolutions there, I have yet to absorb half of my family's assets. Still, it's been quite the journey to get where I am now, and I wouldn't have it any other way." Cooler explained before sighing. "If only father had left me some of that journey, allowed me to be a true conqueror instead of spoil me and my brother."
"Hm...then what I have to tell you may be considered as...a test of strength." Cell teased, catching Cooler's attention. What more was there to prove?
"Oh? Do tell."
"You see, that force that once killed your brother and father have only gotten stronger over time. And I'm a personal witness to their strength." Cell began, hinting at something far greater than he let's on. "In fact, as strong as I am now, this isn't even half of my true power, and those Saiyans and their friends are more powerful than I."
"My my, are you giving me a proper challenge? I never excepted such a promising activity to appear at my doorstep."
"Oh trust me, this is far more than just promising, it'll be a challenge like no other. And surely you wouldn't mind that this be an act of revenge of mine." Cell said, being a little more transparent with him than the others
"So long as I get what im promised than I don't care about the stipulations. Though I do wonder." Cooler walked up to Cell, having to look up to him as he stood just in front of him
"Care to give me a taste of this true power of yours?"
"Gladly." Cell responded and then yelled as he morphed into his own take on the War Machine form, stunning everyone in the room
At his current highest power, he was just as if not slightly stronger than he was before his 'death.' He could only image what power he truly had, something to savor for when he gets back to Earth
"I failed to mention that the form doesn't increase my power as much as I'd like, for I'm mostly imitating it." Cell said in a metallic voice
"Well then, I commend you for reaching such feats. I, however, have been able to reach the true form..." Cooler said before yelling
His aura pulsed as his body suddenly gained more height and definition. His legs suddenly had two dark purple armored pieces at the sides of each of his lower legs, and the tip of his tail had spiked white armored skin. His chest suddenly gained more muscles and the shoulder area of his armor outstretched. His forearms had two dark purple armored pieces as well, and there was a long curved blade-like armored piece on his elbows. His head changed drastically as he suddenly had a crown that was made of four long horns, as well as a large dark purple piece at the forehead. His eyes were hidden and only showed a glowing red emit from them as he wore the same type of mask as Cell
"It took me several years to achieve this form. Unlike my brother and father I take training very seriously. I was not born with the raw power as brother, so I worked hard for my power, and I still grow stronger." He said in a metallic voice. He observed his hands and arms as he talked
At his new height he was now three feet taller than Cell was at the moment, but four feet taller than his Perfect form. But more noticeably, he rivaled the power of a Super Saiyan 2
"I see, now this is a surprise." Cell said before both men powered down to their original forms
"I must ask, have you told anyone else about your little vengeance trip?"
"Actually yes, do the legendary "Galaxy Soldiers' ring a bell? Maybe the leader of the Crusher Corps?" Cell informed, receiving a sigh from the emperor
"So you've only managed to ally with lowly bandits and galactic criminals? Who are more inclined to ransack planets than fight properly? I can't say that I'm impressed?"
"In all fairness, there's no greater force remaining in the galaxy other than you and I, except the Dragon Team."
There was a long moment of silence as Cooler processed the information. As honest as Cell was, there was this tone of secrecy, that even if he was being truthful it always seemed as though he was keeping a secret, and a damn important one
"Hmph, exactly like my brother. I can see where he gets his negotiation skills."
"...I'll follow along. Though, I trust that you aren't tricking the emperor of the Galaxy into a simple death trap, that'd be most unsportsmanlike."
"I see, I thank you for your cooperation and I have merely one more question. The planet of the Majin race. It's to my understanding that you've allied yourself with the planet's people. Why is that?" Cell asked as Cooler laughed once more, guess he didn't know him well enough
"Oh them? Yes, I've stationed men there. Unlike my brother and father I don't pick unnecessary fights just because a harmless group of hillbillies have the potential of over throwing me." He said, to Cell's surprise
"Really now? I'm glad to find another reasonable person in my travels. But now I must get going. I ask that you hide your power and wait in the nearby planets if I'm not there. Of course you could go forward, but it is simply more fun if we attack as a group."
"Agreed. I shall heed your advice. Now farewell." Cooler said as both men bowed respectfully once more, now with a greater kinship than before. Cell walked out of the room and out of the castle
"Thouser, prepare me my ship. I shall leave in 4 days. In the time that I'm gone I shall promote you to temporary supreme power. When I get back I expect everything to be as pristine as I had left it. Have I made myself clear?" Cooler asked for confirmation
The blue man kneeled on one knee and bowed
"Yes sir. It is an honor to be trusted with this power. I shall leave everything in mint condition sir."
"Good, I expect that today's misjudgment proved to be a proper lesson, surely you'd prefer not being executed for your incompetence."
"N-no lord Cooler! I will take disciplinary actions on myself!" Thouser stated, to Cooler's satisfaction
"Good, as my most loyal subject I wouldn't have it any other way."
"And yet another villain for the cause. This will be fun!" Cell thought to himself as he flew away from the planet
With the amount of people he's gathered, it was high time that he made his way back to Earth. There was oh so much preparation that needed to be set for his grand reentrance
