Chapter 36: Reinforced Relations

A/N: Hey guys! So this is a pretty dramatic chapter so I did the best I could, if anyone has any tips for improvement feel free to tell me, I'd love to hear them. Anyways onto the chapter

The morning after the battle of Gods and Saiyans was a fairly active one, people woke up and attempted to find answers to the shaking of the planet, only to come up short, just as they had many times before

Meanwhile, the Z fighters all carried out their day as per usual, waking up bright and early

Android 21 on the other hand, woke up very late and lazily. The comfort of her own home was something that she really missed, and something that let her wake up feeling fresher than ever before. Even if the tent that she'd live in for a full year was still comfortable, she just felt far safer in this bunker of hers

When she awoke, she got changed into her usual red and blue dress and headed to the hallway, where she saw the sight of Cell and Giru still messing with the T.V. Giru, however, seemed to be crying as Cell patted his back

"Have you two been up all night?" 21 asked

"Indeed. We took the time to binge watch a series, and Giru happened to like one of the characters. Sadly they killed him off." Cell explained as he caressed the small droid

"Why would they do such a thing!! He was young and innocent!!" Giru exclaimed

"He murdered thousands." Cell reminded the droid

"That was just a flaw he's changed!!!" Giru continued as Cell got up

"Would you like something to eat?" He asked 21

"Yes, but I'm sure there isn't anything in the fridge." She added

"You're correct, there isn't. But I can simply conjure up a few things. Although this reminds me...it'd be much better if I go to the store." Cell said

"But you can make just about anything, why do you need to go to the store?" 21 said in a confused tone

"Because it's not something a person of my caliber would normally do, why can't an Android visit a supermarket?" Cell questioned curiously

The Bio-Android put two fingers to his forehead and began to search for a city

"I'll be back soon." He said before he teleported away

21 was a little taken off guard before she just shook her head, realizing that doing new things is what Cell strives for, as strange as they are. It's just one of many things that she's learned from spending time with him for a whole year

But strangely enough she didn't know as much of herself, what she did while her other self took control. This wonder brought her attention back to the computer diary

"In the meantime, I should start reading what other me had written ." 21 thought as she walked into the computer room

When she sat down, she inserted her password and found her documents

"Here goes nothing. It's been one day since my transformation..." 21 began reading out loud

In the large city of Hercule City, there flew a vigilante of justice, who wore an orange gi and had bright, glowing yellow hair

Not one person knew this man, however those that did called him...Gohan

The half Saiyan flew around the busy city in his alter ego, 'The Golden Warrior,' and watched everything from above

Though Gohan looked active, today was actually a very slow day. There were no crimes to prevent, no old ladies to help cross the street or any lost cats to turn in

Indeed, it was a calm day, one that allowed Gohan to think freely as he flew around

"Man, today is slow. But I guess that means I've just been doing such a good job of taking care of the city." Gohan thought as he flew

The hybrid could still remember the first day he arrived to this city, and how he stopped a crime for the first time. There was something about helping others that really entranced him, so much so he became a crime fighter

But things really have changed since his High School years. Ever since his identity was revealed on live television Gohan had been extra careful with keeping his identity a secret

Those that went to class with him recognized him immediately, however everyone else didn't. (Partly because everyone was so distracted by Cell's rampage that they forgot about Gohan, not to mention almost all of the cameras that were used there were destroyed by Cell in the same rampage)

In short, almost anyone that didn't know him personally would only vaguely remember him, however there were those that did enough research to become a problem, all of which forced Gohan to be extra careful

Even still in the span of nearly one year Gohan has been kidnapped four times, home invaded thrice, and denied of two job positions because of his identity leak. Even still, he was able to walk away from each situation, but it all could have been avoided if he never lost his focus at the World Tournament

"Or maybe I should have worn a mask from the beginning, something cool. Or maybe even a whole helmet." Gohan thought as well

Aside from his hero life getting in the way of his personal life, it's been nearly a full year since he graduated from his high school, and he's been going to college as of late

In a sense it's just like high school, mainly because all of his friends went to separate colleges, or sought after more ambitious things like fame

The only person that stayed with him was Videl, and although they don't go to school together anymore the two have managed to become closer together as a couple

In just remembering their dates Gohan could feel his heart lighten by all of their fun time together. They've done lots of things, things that he never would have done had he stayed homeschooled

However one turning point would have to be when he realized how much Videl has changed over this time

After her fight in the World Tournament Videl has been training less and less, until she inevitably stopped altogether. It wasn't until his father pointed it out that Gohan realized just how much her brutal defeat impacted her

But unlike his father's speculation, Gohan never stopped loving Videl. While Gohan did like her fighting abilities, he truly grew fond of her personality, her habits and her character as a whole, not just her strength

In the end, Goku's speculation actually helped Gohan fall deeper in love with Videl, instead of the other way around

Speaking of which, now was roughly about time for Gohan to see her again

The half Saiyan quickly flew towards the roof of one building and landed before he powered down and got a capsule from his pocket

He opened it, creating his normal outfit which was a long sleeved, navy blue shirt with black shoes and pants

"I really should find a way to make this more convenient." Gohan thought as he changed

Once he finished he secretly flew down the building, making sure no one saw him

After that he walked a few blocks away, and towards Hercule Satan's house. At the entrance, he was met with a bodyguard, who let him in since he knew who Gohan was

When he entered the mansion, he was met with a large amount of space, as well as two large hallways and a huge staircase that led to two hallways on the second floor

Going down the stars was a surprised Videl, wearing a causal white T-shirt, simple black shorts and black shoes, very similar to her training outfit, however she looked a little more casual

"Oh, hey Gohan. I was just gonna look for you." Videl said as he walked down the last bit of stairs

"Hey Videl. Today's been real quiet so I thought I should stop by. But what's up?" Gohan asked

"I actually wanted to walk in the park with you." Videl told him

"Ok...for what?" Gohan asked again, making Videl sigh a little

"To spend time with my boyfriend, dummy." Videl said while smiling

"Ah right, sorry. It's just, we usually have something in mind." Gohan chuckled while rubbing the back of his head

"Well, walking is always fun." Videl said as the two walked out of the mansion

The young couple casually walked a few blocks away, and walked inside a beautiful park with lots of tall trees, a few long walkways that makes the place look quite akin to a forest with trails

The two walked a little while without saying a word, basking in the beauty of the forest until Videl finally says something

"So, how's studying going?" Videl asked, a little suddenly

"Hm, well they're going great and I'm going to complete a year soon." Gohan told her

"Oh cool, and how's everything at home?" Videl asked as well, taking Gohan little aback

"Well they're doing great. Goten moved up a few grades since you saw him last time, and mom and dad are doing great." Gohan responded before turning to Videl

"But what's with the questions? Is there something wrong?" Gohan asked, noticing a strange change in Videl's attitude

The girl stayed silent for a moment before sighing

"I...have to tell you something. But first we need to sit down." Videl told Gohan, meaning that it was something serious

The half-breed nodded as they both sat on a nearby bench. Gohan knew that whatever she needed to say must be serious, and his head started to race with questions and concerns. Videl on the other hand was nervous as she sat down, and messed with her thumbs a little

"What's wrong?" Gohan asked again

"Nothing, Gohan, it's just that...I don't really know how to tell you this, so I'll just say it." Videl said before facing Gohan seriously

"I'm pregnant." She said blankly

There was a moment of silence as Gohan processed the information, and when he did he was fairly shocked

"You're...pregnant." Gohan repeated

"Yeah..." Videl confirmed

"How many weeks?" He asked

"One, and I found out a few days before the party." Videl told Gohan

The young man sat still on the bench, still in shock by the news

"You're not mad, are you?" Videl asked him worriedly

"No, I'm not. I'm just...I thought we were being careful." Gohan said

"I thought so too, we did everything we could." Videl agreed

There was yet another moment of silence, neither of the two knew how to properly react to such news, and because of this there was an abundance in silence

In Videl's mind, she grew even more nervous by the silence. This is because she has seen and heard this situation play out quite a few times, and she didn't truly know how it feels until now

The greatest concern to her was that Gohan might leave her alone. With every day that passed since she found out she has been arguing with herself about Gohan doing such a thing, and ultimately reasoned that he would never

But as she sat in place, she was now uncertain of what will happen

"How do you feel?" Videl asked Gohan, trying to break the silence

"...Surprised, I guess." Gohan said before shaking his head

"Sorry I just, need to clear my head, if that's alright." Gohan asked as Videl nodded her head

"Thanks." He said as he walked away from the bench for a few feet before flying away

There Videl sat, with her head nearly empty and with a blank expression

The young woman sat in place for a while before bursting into tears, unable to hold the stress anymore. She continued to cry for a while before getting up from her seat and walking away

In the distance, Gohan flew in the air, high enough so that he couldn't be seen by anyone in the city. And once he was at that point he stood very still

For some reason, the news was taking very slow to register for Gohan, most likely due to It's suddenness. He felt odd, not surprised, upset or confused, just odd. He felt as though he was supposed to be any one of those things, but for some reason he truly wasn't

However once the information finally sank, Gohan's head was filled with possibilities, events and scenarios that played in his head, all of which played on losing support from his family, failing his education or worse

Gohan knew from a young age that dealing with a baby while attending school is almost impossible, and since then he had told himself that he should never do something so wreckless, and yet here he was

Gohan is far too young for this to have happened

The half Saiyan floated in place for many minutes before shaking his head

"I have tell mom and dad about this..." Gohan thought out loud as he could feel his skin crawl, already having to face one of his biggest problems

Gohan mustered up all of his power to pull out his phone and call his mom, and eventually she answered him

"Hey mom? Can you ask dad to bring me back home? It's a little sudden I know, but it's important. Thanks." Gohan spoke as calmly as he could before hanging up

Many moments later, Son Goku appeared from thin air in front of Gohan, with two fingers on his forehead

"Hey son! What's up?" Goku asked

"Can I talk to you and mom about something? It's important." Gohan said

Goku looked at his son and noticed that he looked very nervous and understood what was going on. He nodded as he grabbed his son's shoulder before teleporting with him

Cell teleported far above a nearby city by the name of North City. The bright blue sky settled over the calm city, and it seemed that working hours had just begun for them, which made him wonder about the time

Before he could do anything however, a passing airplane flew by, ruining Cell's sensitive ears

"I should work on my entrance." Cell thought to himself as his ears only heard ringing for a many seconds

The Android slowly flew to the surface before he spotted a crowded street, and seeing his opponent he decided to jump smack in the middle of the large mob

However no one bated an eye as they mindlessly walked from place to place, surprising Cell. Were they ALL tired? Or just stupid?

"I'm sure I can find the store on my own." Cell told himself as he simply followed the crowd

However after a few minutes of walking Cell not only grew impatient but also realized that the crowd had no real destination, but instead walked in an aimless path

"I guess this is enough messing around I suppose." Cell thought as he poked the furry man beside him, he had sliver fur and wore a black business suit while holding a coffee. Just like the rest of the crowd he seemed to pay little attention to his surroundings, almost like he was on autopilot

"Huh? Oh..." The man said, realizing that Cell wanted his attention

"Excuse me but can you direct me to the nearest supermarket?"

"Ah sure, two blocks ahead you turn to your left and go straight, you can't miss it." The man said before he took another sip of coffee

"Thank you very much." Cell said as he flew above, out of the crowd and through the man's directions

Once he took flight, the only people who noticed were the man he talked to as well as he person immediately behind them, both choosing to ignore the strange occurrence and go on their ways, less they ask unwanted questions

Once Cell found the market, he saw a bright orange building full of cars up front, as well as a traffic of people buzzing from and to the market

"I really can't miss it." Cell thought as he landed. Unlike the busyness and complacency of the street crowd, people around here Cell gave him looks of concern, confusion, wonder and so on. Cell enjoyed seeing such faces, mainly because it isn't everyday that a weapon of mass destruction goes out for groceries

Cell entered the large store to see the stark white market with hundreds of patrons walking around, searching for items. Just like the rest of the people Cell roamed around the store for the most part, trying to spot a few things that catch his eye. While he does realize how boring it is to aimlessly walk around the store, he has to admit that it's something very strange for him to be 'normal' in this sense

Much time passed and in the end Cell grabbed a cart full of food, snacks and even a few appliances like a new coffee machine and a small black device that is supposed to hook up to the T.V for these 'streaming services' as they were called, surly Giru would take interest to it

Throughout the whole experience Cell felt very strange. Everything in his body told him he shouldn't be here, mainly because he was far too used to being a fighter. That and his various memories of being the villain who tore down these structures, not caring about how they operated on a daily basis

However Cell found some enjoyment in the experience, getting weird looks, looking at the wide verity of items as well as all of the dish possibilities he could make. (Cell really liked to mess with food as of late, the combinations were just endless, even in Earth)

The best part is the fact that he doesn't need to buy groceries like everyone else, he didn't need to work a grueling job to sustain himself, and he didn't need to worry about whether or not he can and can't pay for any of it, though he could just steal, but that would defeat the whole purpose of the exercise

This system is for ordinary and mundane people, yet here he was, doing just as they did. It was sorta...mocking in a way. One of the greatest beings in the Universe...being a normal creature in one of countless built societies

When Cell finally got to the self checkout he saw a great many informative magazines, and decided to see which ones he will get

"Hmm, let's see. Drama, human drama, politics, more drama... ah cooking recipes." Cell said aloud in interest as he grabbed two magazines for cooking, wondering what other recipes there are to memorize, since absorbing people would take too much time

Cell scanned and bagged his items and created the needed cash to pay for the items. He then used his Instant Transmission to teleport out of the city, shocking those around him

When Cell arrived he was inside 21's hideout, more specifically the room with a table and kitchen appliances

"I can't say that this was the best, but it was certainly new." Cell thought as he set down the bags onto kitchen counter before he went to check on Giru

When he entered the hallway, he saw Giru sitting on the couch and staring at the T.V., as per usual

"Anything new?" Cell asked

"They just revived Giru's favorite character, but he's not what he used to be." Giru said in as much disappointment as his autonomous voice allowed him

"Of course they did." Cell said simply as he walked into the computer

"So, what did you find?" Cell causally asked 21 as he walked up to her

21 sat in front of the computer and looked a little shook and unresponsive, forcing Cell to wave his hand in front of her to get her attention

"21? Is there something the matter?"

"Oh sorry, I zoned out for a bit. But now I understand what you mean, this diary sounds like something that I wrote, but I can't get over how I change, it's like looking at my future." 21 tried to describe as Cell nodded along

"I see, though you must realize that this isn't really you, the real you. This is simply something that took over you." Cell assured her before walking out the door, but stopping just outside the doorway

"I must mention that your 'breakfast' will be served in a little while." Cell mentioned, it was a little too late to call it breakfast anymore

"Ok, I'll see you in a little bit." 21 said as Cell closed the door behind him, however 21 was still unnaturally worried about the diary, or more importantly, something related to it

"But...what if she comes back?" 21 thought to herself, while the soul inside of her worried of the same fate

Gohan stood in front of both his parents, who sat on their couch in the living room. Goten was off on a play date with Trunks, and has been since early morning

"What is it Gohan? It's not like you to tell us both something." Chi-Chi said worriedly

Gohan took a deep breath before finally saying what needs to be said

"The thing is...Videl is pregnant." Gohan broke it to them, which shook them greatly

"Videl is what?!" Goku said, being the most shocked

"What?! When did this happen?" Chi-Chi said, very much shocked as well, however she still tried to keep a level head

"Yeah. She told me just a few minutes ago." Gohan told them

"And for how long?" Chi-Chi asked again

"A week." Gohan responded

There was a strange silence that befell them as Goku and Chi-Chi processed the information (Gohan himself was getting a little sick of all this silence now)

"And, how do you feel about it?" Goku asked worriedly

"If I'm being honest, I don't know what to feel." Gohan responded

"You know what this means, right? You're going to be a dad." Chi-Chi reminded Gohan

Once those words hit Gohan, a strange realization befell him, one that should have came earlier

"You're right...I'm going to be a dad." Gohan thought out loud as he sat in the couch as well

"Wow, this sure is tough. I'm gonna be a grandpa." Goku said simply, before he went through nearly the same realization as Gohan

"I'm gonna be a grandpa...yeah! I'm gonna be a grandpa!" Goku repeated excitedly as he stood up from the couch

"What's with you Goku?" Chi-Chi asked her husband, not knowing why he changed moods so suddenly

"We get to be grandparents! I mean, we get to take care of another kid, and we get to hold them, and take care of them, and feed them, and train them!" Goku boasted

In reality, Goku was very happy with the news, however he was more shocked than anything else a second ago. Its been nearly forever since Gohan was born, and he wasn't there when Goten was born either. Once he looked back, he realized all of the memories that he had of Gohan when he was a kid, all of which were very fun

In a sense, this was another reason why Goku wasn't a true Saiyan. A normal Saiyan would be indifferent with the birth of another child, and instead worry about fighting. But Goku, he loved the idea of taking care of another baby (As well as seeing it grow as a fighter, but that's beside the point)

Chi-Chi ignored the last part of her husband's statement and changed moods as well

"Huh, I didn't think of that. I guess it would be fun to take care of another baby. And teach them...and make them food...and love them with all my heart!" Chi-Chi boasted as well while standing up with Goku

The two jumped around a little before they hugged, Goku carrying Chi-Chi as they did

"We get to be grandparents!" They both exclaimed in unison

Gohan looked at the two and smiled. Their attitudes were very infectious, and made Gohan happy as well

And when he thought further, he liked the ideas they were saying. Taking care of a baby, feeding the baby, supporting it, these were something that resonated with the half breed

"So, you're not mad or anything?" Gohan asked as he stood up from his seat

"Of course we're not mad! We're proud of you Gohan, and we always will be." Chi-Chi stated as she went in to hug Gohan, while Goku came immediately afterwards to do the same

The family hugged each other for a while before they stopped

Both Goku and Chi-Chi each took a second to have pride in their son. He had grown so much from his younger years, and time and time again he has surprised them both. And now he's going to be a parent

"Thanks mom, dad, for supporting me." Gohan said

"Of course Gohan, we'll always be there for you." Goku stated as Gohan smiled

"Hey dad? Can you teleport me back?." Gohan asked his dad

"Sure!" Goku said happily as he brought two fingers to his forehead and grabbed his son's shoulder

In an instant the two left the house, teleporting away from it and into Hercule City

Over with Cell and 21, the two proceeded to train together after breakfast was over. They traveled to a nearby wasteland and began. Giru was there too, whom decided to take a break from T.V., as interesting as it was

21 wore an orange gi, however this time she was in her human form, for reasons that Cell could not understand nor were explained. 21 was also largely fighting by herself, not letting the soul inside of her take charge, again, for seemingly no reason

Cell had noticed these things but said nothing. The way 21 acted was strange, and had been since breakfast, meaning that something must've happened to her while reading her diary

In any case, Cell didn't worry, seeing 21 fully capable of dealing with any problem she may face

Android 21 struck several blows to Cell's guard, causing the bio-Android to stay in place long enough for 21 to pull out one of her tricks

The woman dashed backwards and immediately shot a barrage of ki blasts, instead of hitting Cell head on, they all circled around him, preventing him from moving

In any other situation Cell would have simply overpowered the barrier by charging through them, but Cell was unable to overpower them by normal means

In truth, 21 had become nearly as strong as Cell, without his Kaio-Ken of course, also not really counting the boost in power he gained recently. This meant that Cell would have to start putting more effort in their training, seeing as 21 was now worthy of his complete attention

21 continued to feed basic ki blasts to the ever growing barrier, however Cell used his Instant Transmission to teleport behind her

Cell was just about to kick 21 on the back before she teleported without needing to hold two fingers to her forehead, surprising him

21 appeared behind Cell and used her ki to envelope him in a green barrier, preventing him from moving

Before Cell could do anything else, every ball of ki that once surrounded him rushed towards him, exploding upon impact. In a clever twist, the barrier did not protect him at all, and instead allowed every blast to land painfully upon him

21 used this time to quickly charge a blue ball of ki in her hands

"Absolute Discharge Ball!" She yelled as she launched her signature attack

Cell however, ignored the pain of each ki blast and broke his encasement before turning around and charging his own attack

"Shining Friday!!" Cell yelled as he used the attack of Goku's brother

A purple ball of ki appeared in front of his arm, which blocked the powerful ball of ki before the two actually combined into one large ball of ki (thanks to Cell) changing the color of his attack from purple to dark blue

Cell took control of the ball and launched this attack towards 21, who did not expect the attack to be used in such a way. She barely side stepped the attack before it exploded violently many feet away from her, pushing her forwards

Cell took advantage of this as he teleported in front of 21. He punched her in the stomach before launching a flurry of attacks, ending it all with a kick that launched her to the earth

Once 21 landed, Cell shot a barrage of basic ki blasts, all of which 21 wasn't able to block, which surprised Cell

Cell then teleported behind 21 and kicked her back, launching her many feet away before she landed on the ground in defeat

"Strange, it seems she's too distracted to fight anymore." Cell said as he teleported away and in front of 21's fallen body

The Android woman attempted to get up quickly, but instead she felt sharp pains all around her body and was left kneeling over one leg, seemed that the last few kicks caught her unawares

"That is enough for today, you've taken too much damage." Cell stated simply

"Wait! I can keep going, just give me a moment." 21 said as she continued to try and stand, but failed

"Seems you've learned a bad habit of mine. I must break it to you but your body isn't as strong as your will." Cell said as he helped her sit down

"But I have to keep fighting...I have to get stronger." 21 huffed reluctantly

"You must keep fighting? I'm not to sure what you mean, we're simply sparring." Cell said

"I just...have to." 21 huffed

There was a moment of silence before Cell got serious

"21, is there something wrong? You've been acting strangely since I've come back, and your acting even stranger now." Cell asked her, wanting to know what the problem was

"I can't tell you. You've helped me so much now, so I want to do this on my own. Please, I need to." 21 stated

Cell sighed deeply, understanding the real problem

"Your worried that I'll get tired of helping you, is that it?" Cell asked her, to which she reluctantly nodded, causing Cell to sigh again

"You don't have to be worried about such a thing, 21. The reason why I have allowed you to travel with me is because I more than tolerate your presence, I enjoy your company. If I didn't enjoy your company than I would have left you long ago, but I have not nor will I." Cell informed 21, surprising her

"You are an interesting person, and I often find myself having fun with you. I have helped you because you are a great person, one that I don't what to see fail." Cell continued, making 21 feel a tad flustered

"So you see, I'm not leaving you, and I will be here to help you just as you are here to help me. Whatever your problem is I will try to solve it. I ask again, what is bothering you?" Cell said again

When it came to 21, he developed this strange new attitude towards her that he hadn't with anyone else, though he didn't really talk to anyone else before. He, for the most part, liked to be clear and honest when it came to things, be it training or travel destinations. Because of this there wasn't much to hide from her, except what he did before he met her, fearing that too much honesty might scare her away

Still, it wasn't unusual for Cell to speak his mind with her, which was something that he quite enjoyed

21 took a second to think before she sighed, and when she did her expression became morbid and fearful

"When I read my diary, I was shocked at how slowly and unnoticeable my change was, it wasn't out of the ordinary for me to change character but instead it was more...gradual. And then I realized that at any point my evil self will come back again, and I might not even notice, you or the soul might not notice. If that happens I don't know if I'll come out alive, or if the soul inside me will die too." 21 confessed before looking Cell in the eyes

Cell could see that her concerns were valid, even he imagined the last scenario once or twice before ignoring it altogether. It must've been hard to be as smart as her, realizing things that normally would slip by unnoticed

"I'm...scared. I'm scared of disappearing like that. If I'm not strong enough to prevent it my evil self might come back and destroy the Earth, and it will be all my fault..." She said as her eyes teared up

Once 21 finished, Cell simply hugged her, allowing the Android to silently sob for a little over a minute

Once they finished, 21 wiped away her tears as Cell helped her up

"Listen, there is nothing left to fear 21. You personally witnessed the defeat of your evil self, and there is only a slim possibility that she will return. And if she does, both I and the soul with you will not rest until she is defeated once more. So calm down, there is nothing left to fear." He reassured her

Cell did his best to cheer her up, seeing her upset made him oddly upset too, like a radiant flashlight would dim in the dark. But hearing his own words made him comfortable with the situations after all he was the one confident enough in his abilities to prevent such an outcome

"You're right, I guess I shouldn't stress out so much. Thank you Cell." 21 chuckled softly

"I'm glad to have helped." Cell said simply before floating in the air

"Now then, with training over I believe it is time to rest." Cell said as 21 nodded

Giru flew after them, just in time as they teleported away from the wasteland

In the distance, there stood a lone green figure who watched the events unfold

"Those two have gotten closer together than when we saw them." The voice of Kami said within Piccolo

"I'm just glad Cell isn't wreaking havoc." The voice of Nail said as well

The lone green man then flew away from the scene, having observed all that he needed

The father son duo appeared above Hercule City, this time there was a group of birds flying away as they did

"Thanks dad." Gohan said

"Anytime Gohan." Goku said before disappearing

The hybrid Saiyan carefully flew downwards, trying not to be spotted

When Gohan landed, he walked his way towards Hercule's house once more, this time with many thoughts floating in his head

When Gohan finally made it, he entered and went up the large flight of stairs, down one of the two long hallways and past a great many doors before he finally spotted the one he was looking for

For a few seconds, Gohan stood absolutely still, feeling both nervous and scared at the same time. He had spent the past half an hour trying to collect his thoughts, and yet he still was not calm

Eventually Gohan finally pulled himself together by shaking his head

"Here goes nothing." He thought as he took a deep breathe and knocked on the door

"Who is it?" A voice said from within, which was fairly raspy

"It's me. Can I come in?" Gohan asked

"Oh, sure." The voice said as Gohan opened the door

When he entered he saw Videl's pinkish-red colored room in a grand mess. There were a few broken items like brushes, mirrors and some were simply misplaced

"Hey Gohan..." Videl said as she sat on her bed, her eyes and face were red, and she also had a rasp in her voice

"What happened here?" Gohan asked as he sat in front of Videl, allowing her to clear her throat

"I just got a little stressed." Videl said offhandedly, however Gohan pressed the issue

"But why? Was it something I did? If it's because I left you at the park I'm sorry, and it won't happen again." Gohan quickly apologized, but Videl instead shook his head

"No no it's just...I thought you weren't coming back. I thought that you'd leave me here..." Videl said while gaining a fresh set of tears

"Videl..." Gohan said before going in to hug her

"Gohan, are you going to leave me? I know that we're too young for this, you're barely starting your life and then this happens, it never should have!" Videl told Gohan, however the young man then held her by the shoulders and look into her eyes

"Videl please don't say those things. I have to tell you something, something very very important." Gohan said, gaining her full attention

"I'm not leaving you. No matter what happens you're just too important to me, the time I've spent with you is something that I will always hold close to me. And it doesn't matter what challenge we face I'll always be here for you." Gohan stated, calming Videl down

"You mean it?" She asked

"Yes...I love you, and nothing will ever change that." He said calmly, making Vide smile and return his hug

"Thank you...I'll always love you too." Videl said as the two hugged each other

They sat there for quite a while before they stopped hugging. Once they did they sat in a comfortable silence before Videl piped up

"So...what comes next?" Videl asked Gohan

The young Saiyan took a second to think before coming to a fairly

"I guess we start preparing. I've already told my parents, should we tell everyone else?" Gohan asked

"I don't think so, maybe we'll surprise them." Videl said with a smile, already imagining their faces

"Great, then how about we stay here? Just for the while." Gohan asked

"Sure, that sounds fun." She responded

The two then laid in bed, quietly wondering about their future. They worried, planned and hoped about their new life, but in the end they were content, knowing that they would be right next to each other

Bonus bit: Sorrowful Goodbyes

Indeed the day after such an event was active, with quite a few mysteries and surprises

However the day must end, and when it did a small family got together one more time

In the middle of the night, the Majin family gathered inside garden of Capsule Corp, ready to say goodbye

There stood Prestina and Chocolate, looking solemn, as did their parents

"Goodbye girls, we'll miss you." Caramela said with a tear as she came in to hug both of her daughters

The three hugged before letting go, allowing their father to hug them as well

"We'll visit sometime." Lamp said as well

"We'll miss you too." Chocolata said while tearing up

"Take care." Prestina said, also with a tear

The family was understandably saddened during their goodbyes, however they all managed to have a hint of happiness, for having been able to spend to much time with each other

But, all things must end. And as such, the two Majin parents flew through the hole in the glass dome, and away from their children

"I hope they'll be alright..." Caramela said as they flew

"They'll be fine, their strong." Lamp said proudly

The two parents flew through the sky, however as they did they were interrupted by a dark green figure appearing suddenly in front of them

"Ah, leaving without a goodbye?" Cell asked the two as they tensed up

"Oh don't be so defensive, I bring no harm. I simply noticed that you were leaving and come bearing an offer." He said

"And what is it?" Caramela asked carefully

"It's easy, I hand you one of my children, and it shall guide you back home." Cell said

"And what do you want?" Lamp asked, feeling as there is a catch

"All I ask for is for your safety. After all, it'd be a shame if your children were to never see you again." Cell said

Both parents looked at each other, unsure of whether or not they should accept

However the two realized that without Cell, they wouldn't be able to remember their way home, no matter how much they hated him

"...Fine." Lamp said

Cell smiled as he then began to power up, and as he did he created another being within

After a a couple of seconds of yelling, a Cell Jr. came from behind Cell, and floated happily with the two Majins

"So, with that said I suppose this is goodbye." Cell said as he waved away the two parental figures

The two wordlessly flew away from Cell, closely accompanied by a Cell Jr., who giggled endlessly as he flew in circles

The two tried not to question Cell, however they couldn't help but do so, after all that he did to them he was helping them once more

Cell on the other hand, smirked as he saw them fly away

In truth, when he noticed the parents leave he immediately questioned whether their would be enough for their journey, and decided to help out

After all, it would be a shame if Prestina's parents died when meeting a powerful enemy. So he was simply looking after them, as a favor to her

After a couples of seconds Cell simply used Instant Transmission to teleport away from the sky
