AN: Thanks for those who left reviews and basically giving this story a chance. Gonna try my hardest to update more often and little faster. I'm just little slow when it comes to updating stories lol.
The next morning Rachel walked out of the guest room as she stepped out into the living room as she yawn and stretched out her arms. Dropping her arms down Rachel could smell breakfast and fresh coffee brewing in Monica and Chandler's kitchen. Making her towards the kitchen, Rachel walked in and found her two best friends sitting at the table eating breakfast.
" Good morning." Rachel greeted them as she walked towards the coffee machine and helped herself some fresh coffee before joining them at the table for breakfast.
" Good morning roomie." Chandler responded with a smile and a chuckle as he took a drink of his coffee and took another bite of his breakfast.
" How, did you sleep?" Monica asked.
" I slept pretty good actually." Rachel answered as she sat down with her plate and coffee as she joined them for breakfast." I just haven't woken up this early like forever. "She added as she took a sip of her coffee before she started to eat her breakfast.
" You don't get up early in Paris?" Chandler asked with a laugh.
Rachel snorted as she nodded her head. "Of course I get up early on the weekdays; on the weekends, I like to sleep in kind of late." She answered with a chuckle. "Emma likes to sleep all day on Saturdays."
"What are your plans for today?" Monica asked after taking another drink of her coffee and then setting the cup back down on her kitchen table.
Well, I was thinking of picking up Emma from Ross's and taking her to see her grandma. Rachel answered as she wiped her mouth with her napkin. The night before Rachel and Emma flew out here for the week, Rachel called her mom to let her know that she and Emma would be in New York for the week, and Rachel promised her mom that they'd go visit her while they were there.
Phoebe and I were going to take the kids to the park, and I thought maybe you and Emma might want to join us," Monica said as she got up from the table with her plate and coffee cup in hand. She walked over to the kitchen sink.
Yeah, that would be great. We shouldn't be at my mom's for that long, and we can just meet you guys at the park," Rachel said as she shrugged her shoulders.
Monica nods her head in agreement." That sounds good to me."
"Great," Rachel said as she got up from the table and walked over to Monica's sink with her empty plate and empty coffee cup. After she rinsed the plate off and rinsed out the coffee cup, she placed them in the sink. "I should get going." She said as she quickly dried her hands and walked out of their kitchen, heading towards the guest room to get ready.
Ross and Emma were in the middle of watching morning cartoons and eating a bowl of cereal when there was a knock at Ross's apartment door. Setting his bowl down, Ross got up from the couch and walked over to the door to answer it. Pulling the door open, Ross found Rachel standing outside.
"Hey Rach, what are you doing here?"
"I am here to pick up Emma; we're going to go see my mom. Is she ready?" Rachel asked as she looked over Ross's shoulder, searching for Emma.
" She's still eating breakfast and watching cartoons. "Ross answered as he moved to the side and let Rachel walk through his apartment before closing the door behind him.
"Hey sweetie, are you about ready to go?" Rachel asked Emma as she joined her on the couch.
"Ready? Ready to go where?" Emma asked, a little confused because she wasn't sure what her mom was talking about.
"To go see Grandma, remember? I told you that we were going to go see her while we're out here, honey," Rachel said reminding her daughter.
Now? But Daddy was going to take me to the museum and then we were going to go over to Carol and Susan's, and I was kind of hoping to spend the day with Ben. As much as Emma was looking forward to seeing her dad, she had also been looking forward to spending time with her big brother.
Before Rachel had a chance to say something, Ross jumped in. "Why don't you go see your grandma," Ross suggested, "and we can go to the museum and see Ben tomorrow?" He could see the disappointment on Rachel's face.
Emma nodded her head in agreement. "Okay, Daddy," she said as she got up from the couch and ran into her room to get ready.
" Thank you." Rachel said as she watched Emma running down the hall.
You're welcome. Hey, why don't you and Emma come over later tonight for dinner? Ross offered, as he would love to have dinner with his two favorite people in the world.
" Well, that depends on what you're cooking tonight."
" Oh, I haven't really decided yet. But I will surprise you though." Ross said with a chuckle as he had no idea what he was going make really, but he will think of something. Maybe he would make one of Rachel's favorite foods for dinner tonight.
Rachel nodded her head as Emma walked back out into the living room. "Sounds good," Rachel said. "Hey honey, why don't you say goodbye to Daddy?" She added as she opened Ross's door.
" Bye daddy." Emma said as she threw her arms around Ross's neck as she gives him a hug and a kiss on his cheek.
" Bye sweetie." Ross said as he returned the hug and kiss.
" So, what time do you want us over for dinner?" Rachel asked as Emma ran out the door.
"Maybe around seven o'clock," Ross answered as he shrugged his shoulders.
Rachel nodded her head a little. "We'll be here at seven then. Bye." She said softly as she walked out of his apartment and closed the door behind her, sighing softly. Having dinner with Ross tonight should be fun and hopefully not too awkward either.
