I'm still kicking, which is a fucking miracle considering the number of Covid patients I have to face every fooking day. I haven't been out of the hospital for almost a whole month now. oh wait, it's really a whole month. I can't go see my family just yet. hopefully i can go home buy sep 5. anyways...

I blame covid for making my life extra, extraa, extraaaa, extraaaaa busy.. FAQ.

So this is what happened before chapter 10. This has two parts, I'll probably release part 2 next week? PROBABLY. it was like 2/3 done. Just need to polish a few things. IF i can get it done in time.

Saturday

Saturday morning to noon is for schoolwork, it had been Mikoto's routine unless she had to go deal with some catastrophically dumb human. Well, with the day as peaceful as the dull gray of the sky suggests, then homework it is and so, that's what Mikoto did.

Or not.

A shame really, aside from her introductory fractal calculus homework, she had 2 other essays on history as well as 3 other books to self-study.

As an esper, a high level one at that, Mikoto IS extremely smart. Math problems should have been a breeze but it seems that every scratch of her ball pen had her mind flying elsewhere, a person if she had to be specific. Sure, her mind can still calculate like it's supposed to but she feels so disconnected to the numbers, they seem to fly away without her guidance which to her is a big NO. A breach of trust that she had no other choice than to just stop writing.

The seemingly soft drop of the pen signified that Mikoto is welcoming thoughts about a particular blonde.

When she first heard of Shokuhou's charities, Mikoto couldn't quite believe it. She scoffed and called bullshit on it immediately. Back then, she had a one dimensional view of who Shokuhou was, a pretty, manipulative, psychotic pretty lady who enjoys antagonizing her.

Something really shifts once you glimpse a person's actions a little deeper, huh.

Somehow, hearing Shokuhou's activities now, Mikoto's mind doesn't think 'what a lie' but 'Damn! That's incredible? Has she always been this sweet? What the heck?'. Frankly, that statement last night made Mikoto's heartbeat thudded so hard she felt like she was getting slammed from inside out.

She also happens to mention that she uses her powers to show/teach children.

Hmm, what kind of images does Shokuhou show those kids? Does she properly use her own cadence when reading stories? Or does she just use another accent altogether? Did she make her voice high to be as non threatening as possible? or does she do other character voices? Hmm, she can do the "onee-san type" voice too, if she wanted, a little deeper and it would have been a treatー

Mikoto gasped and banged her hand in embarrassment with surprisingly savagery that desk-kun lost 30hp from the damage. It also effectively woke Kuroko up which Mikoto dearly regretted as soon as the shock of where her mind had been going wore off.

"Waz happening Onee-sama?"

Kuroko jumped, held a ruler in a very menacing way while her other hand, held her blanket close to her body. Her eyes were going wildly, taking in everything that can be used and the escape route. It would have been absolutely comical if Mikoto wasn't the one guilty. She'd have to buy her chocolates later as an apology.

"Kuroko! I'm so, so sorry! Please go back to sleep…"

"I smell fries…"

"No, no, there's no fries just yet. I'll buy you one later, hmm? Go back to sleep."

"Mmeah, okaee"

Thankfully, Kuroko's sleep deprived mind hadn't caught up to her antics and she allowed Mikoto to tuck her back in her bed, and fell back asleep holding Mikoto's hand with the ruler still held by the other.

Adorable

There's probably something wrong with Mikoto if she thinks Kuroko is adorable every time the girl is exhausted.

Kuroko had come home around 3 am in the morning due to the helicopter incident, bulldozing her work through until late at night just to get her uninterrupted, hassle free Saturday slumber.

Mikoto did kinda get it. Kuroko was the type to finish her work just to sleep the whole next few hours away if she can. During Fridays, Kuroko stayed late at night to finish schoolwork while Mikoto slept early and woke early to do school work.

They both have allotted time for school just on different shifts. In a way, Saturdays are the days where Mikoto takes care of Kuroko's breakfast or lunch, depending on her wake up time. It's also their laundry day and cleaning day. Saturday is basically "taking care of their own shit" while Sunday is the 'relax' day.

She should probably buy Kuroko's fries instead of staring distrustfully at her math homework, remembering why she had distubed Kuroko, however accidentally, and felt her cheeks warming up.

Mikoto's imaginative uses of the blonde's lilting voice . . . she can't help but think of . . . other pitches that she was capable off. Not to be a nerd but . . . welp.

How and why did she have the urge to listen to Shokuhou's voice again?

Sunday

"Another!" Mikoto yelled, her phone bouncing aggressively on her bed, having been flung furiously. Her temper almost to a boiling point from Kuroko's repeated wins, it doesn't help that her best friend has been gaining more and more favors every time she loses, as per agreement.

"Are you sure you want me to add another favor on top of all the favors I've been currying? Am I so lucky?"

"Gah! That's right! You HAD been lucky! This next match decides it!"

Mikoto lost that match predictably too. Mikoto hated losing, there's this nagging part of her to challenge Kuroko again, that maybe this time, she might win. The rational part of her, assured her in a very reasonable tired voice backed by logic that Kuroko is quite good at the game and Mikoto will lose again, it's simple math.

Giving up is the only way.

Now we see her best friend jumping up and down her bed, practically celebrating, a thirsty look on her face that Mikoto should really pay attention to but no, she was busy digging holes on her phone, practically murdering it in all its inorganic beauty. It had failed her after all and now she owes Kuroko seven favors that she prays will be used in unquestionable means.

Was that too much to ask though?

She was doomed but she will face this like a champ, with dignity and honour.

"Sooooo can I put it in?"

Uhmm. . . what? What the shit?

"Whaaaat?! Put what in?! I swear if this is something weird I'll be the one putting someone in!" Mikoto will have this doofus in jail.

Mikoto was slowly inching away.

"Ahhh onee-sama, I didn't know you could be assertive too!"

Oh, Mikoto is plenty assertive alright. That's why she ran to the door without any preamble. She could electrocute the girl but Mikoto doesn't want to add any additional task as 'an apology'. Screw looking like a coward.

"Eh? Why are you running?" if she wasn't trying to get out of the damn room, Kuroko's expression made Mikoto want to instantly. "Why are you running?"

Mikoto swung the door open, made a turn and felt the familiar brush of power caressing against her electromagnetic barrier. Halting, she looked back and met Shokuhou's knowing eyes, the blonde was heading towards her, likely having felt her powers too, amusement plastered on her face.

There was a split second of contemplation before Mikoto decided that it couldn't help to ask the blonde.

"Hide me!" she whispered, giving the blonde a desperate look.

Kuroko's ready to jump her any minute.

Click.

Kuroko's suddenly confused and was looking around. She was alone in the hallway with their door open.

"Eh? Where'd she go? Onee-sama's quite skilled in avoiding me these days. I better up my game!"

Mikoto shivered from her position by the wall as she watched her best friend sniff the air, as if she had enough sensory identifiers like a dog does which s he does not.

She doesn't, right?

A gloved hand tapped her cheek and guided her face back up to her sudden benefactor. Mikoto, whose palms were fully flat against the wall behind her, twitched. She was rather close. Why is she so close?

Shokuhou smiled softly at her, tapped her nose twice with her index finger. The gentle touch awakened an erratic feeling that served Mikoto's embarrassment, though strangely, Mikoto hadn't had any urge to swat the girl's hand away.

"You owe me"

"So I owe Kuroko seven favors and now I have one from you. Just my luck"

"You say that like it's a bad thing. Is that my thank you? Come to think of it, you didn't say 'please' Misaka-san...I could restore Shirai-san's ability to perceive you, you know, maybe I should.."

"NO! Wait! Wait! I'm sorry, thank you,...p-please?"

Shokuhou's smile showed teeth "Oh well. Just remember that you owe me." Mikoto felt her face starting to warm when the blonde winked at her. An attack straight to her brain, blasting serotonin so much it's making Mikoto flush in embarrassment being affected as much as she was. Shokuhou should really control her habits, lest she attracts more hapless chaps. Not that she was attracted, no. No way. In fact, she should be going, not stupidly staring at her stupidly mischievous smile which was not attractive at all!.

"I'll be going now. Remember, you owe me a favor''

"What's with you and favors?!"

Shokuhou didn't answer and continued on her way but not before winking at Mikoto again.

They went on in separate ways.

Both with a bit of lightness in their steps.

Here we find Mikoto idly roaming around the enormity of their dorm this windy afternoon. Despite the comedic ridiculousness of her reasons for being out and about, Mikoto was glad she got to amuse herself like this. Weirdly, she had been alone for almost 15 minutes now, she hadn't actually expected Kuroko to take this long to find her, maybe she'd given up halfway? Or was she distracted?

While examining some random dust in one of the upper floors, Mikoto had a passing thought. Fifteen minutes since she last saw Shokuhou Misaki. Where could she be at this time? What business does she even have here in her dorm?

Mikoto concentrated a bit, extending her radar to the whole of the building, and finding Shokuhou's signature EM field. She had entered the room of a first year transferee. If Mikoto was not mistaken that student got admitted due to her powerful esper powers. She was sort of a scholar that the school deemed fit to thrust upon Mikoto the responsibilities of getting her acclimated to the school.

Ah so she's scouting that kid. As expected of Shokuhou. Although, why would she come personally? Doesn't she usually summons them? Does she do this to every girl she recruits? Hmm, this tactic works if she's poaching from somebody's clique but as far as Mikoto knew, the kid had't been to any clique yet. The talk would either take a bit too long or too short. Should she wait here? She could go to the lounge of this floor. . . nevermind, they may be students hanging out there.

Though why would she wait for Shokuhou? It's not like she wants her presence. No, that would be weird.

She does.

The roar of the wind rattled the windows a little bit, snatching Mikoto's attention. Thanks to the obviously state-of-the-art tech of Tokiwadai, the residents here remain in blissful warmth despite the windy chill outside. Her steps echoed in the empty hallway as she went and opened a portion of the windows, only allowing a tiny bit to enter the dorm. Almost immediately, her hair was blown black, the severe and bitter cold her skin should have felt were merely reduced to a cool sensation, partly thanks to her esper powers and partly because she only opened a sliver for wind to pass through.

As the wind calmed down, she began to appreciate the soundless mysteries winter had to offer.

Mikoto widened the width of the window, enough that her whole face could stick out in the cold before she closed her eyes and just enjoyed the now gentle breeze caressing her face, her lips stretching into a smile. Tiny bits of sparks circulate around her, the only hint that she was using her abilities to warm up a bit.

"Onee-sama! After all the searching I did. . .So you're just hanging out here?"

Mikoto opened an eye before closing them again. "Yeah, want to join me? Granted you behave yourself of course."

Her best friend huffed good naturedly, stepping up beside her and sticking their shoulders together. Kuroko's hair fizzled, some portion standing up but she paid it no mind. Despite wearing only a thin sweater and thick pajamas, it took a while for Kuroko to feel the cold. Mikoto being a furnace helps. For a while, they stood like that by the window, feeling the silent whispers of the wind, serenely staring into nothing with their breathing almost synchronizing with each other.

"I think I'm going to go buy something warm to drink. Do you want to come?"

"I'll stay here. I'll have my usual drink. Thanks Kuroko!"

The girl nodded before popping out of existence.

"You guys seem cozy." a voice commented from Mikoto's right. Shokuhou was walking towards her. "Does she remember the rule of not using esper abilities inside the dorm or are you people so used to breaking the rules?"

Mikoto gave a non-committal hum, ignoring the light jab though her body froze for only a second. Kuroko did probably forget the rule but that's not important, she's not breaking the rule if nobody saw her.

Mikoto eyed the blonde's blaring red Hit sweater.

"You wanna join?"

Mikoto remembered the times when the moment she sees Shokuhou, she's hurling insults after insults at her. Look at them now, the electromaster inviting the most powerful mental user to chill together.

"And just stand around like unemployed adults?" Despite the sharpness of her tone, she occupied Mikoto's other side and did what Kuroko had done a second ago, she leaned in, shoulder to shoulder.

Mikoto snorted at that. "Why are you dissing unemployed people all of a sudden?"

"I'm angry at them right now. I want them to feel my fury. Ah~ but only at a later date. Too bad really~"

Cute.

"So what did this particular person do to you now?"

"Not me, one of my girls." Shokuhou sighed. "Some people are just no good leeches."

Mikoto only needed a brain cell to know who she was talking about. That meeting was rather brief. Kuroko's taking a bit too long though, where was she?

They were silent for a moment, it was obvious that the blonde was already busy plotting the elimination of such a problem while Mikoto waited until she got her head sorted out."Shokuhou," Mikoto started in what she hopes is a soothing voice, she nudged her gently for added effect. "Stop thinking. It's a Sunday. I'm sure that your adorable new recruit can wait. At least for now, since you're with me, stop thinking of other things."

"..."

Misaka Mikoto, a girl of good will, a girl, too busy patting herself for a message well delivered that she missed the loveliest crimson on her companion's cheeks.

"...Misaka-san," it was the faintest of whispers but Mikoto still heard it, how could she not? Shokuhou's speaking right in her ear. Her warm breath tickles Mikoto's ears. She wanted to giggle but resisted because something in the atmosphere that she kinda didn't want to break? She doesn't really understand what's going on, has Shokuhou been insulted? Touched? Annoyed? Humbled? By what she said?

Turning her head, she met the blonde's eyes and promptly drowned in them.

Mikoto didn't know how long they were staring at each other but they both felt the disturbance in the air the moment Kuroko dropped by.

"Onee-sama—Eek!" The shortest girl among them stumbled upon popping back into existence, two warm cans of tea in her hand. She glanced warily at the blond. "I didn't know we're gonna have company"

Kuroko thrusted the can rather aggressively towards Mikoto, eyes still on Shokuhou who was glued to Onee-sama's other side which is unacceptable! Unforgivable!

"This was supposed to be my alone time with Onee-sama, why are you butting in?"

"Eh~but I was here for you. Are you leaving me with nothing to drink Shirai-san?"

Mikoto had tuned the two out as they started bickering. Recalling what had passed between her and Shokuhou, for a moment there, they felt connected...somehow? The electromaster was onto something profound, genuine, something potentially dangerous but endearingly sincere, but what was it? What was that between them a moment ago? With Kuroko's interruption, Mikoto felt disappointed, somehow. Why?

Coming back to reality, she was surprised that Shokuhou was already holding a warm can of tea. She was about to ask Kuroko when she witnessed her popping back in sight. Drink in hand and a pout on her face.

"—dorm Supervisor caught me, lectured and here I come back and she's with another girl.."

"Shirai-san's such a sweetheart! I want you for myself more and more~. We can kick Misaka-san out so we can be alone together instead!"

It was quite entertaining watching Shokuhou tease Kuroko. After a few teases, Mikoto's own banter inserting in between, they both settled on either side of her, peace settling between the three until their tea ran cold.

Mikoto warmed them right up.

This is one way to spend a Sunday afternoon, Mikoto thinks fondly as she sips her tea.

Monday

There is something to be said when the next time Mikoto saw Shokuhou, it was her breast that she noticed first. It was nothing new, Mikoto always, always noticed her breast like any other person but she paid attention to the blonde's starry eyes first or her sly lips spouting annoying words and only then would she scoff (internally or externally) at her rival's chest.

Mikoto was coughing now, choked by the very water she was swimming in.

Tokiwadai's facilities are nothing to sniff at. Boasting a high end learning environment is one of the cores of effective nurturing tools for these bright (expensive) young maidens, as this swimming pool attests to. The school is well equipped with the latest temperature controlling equipment ready to cater to these rich brats.

Today, they happened to have a swimming lesson. Everything was flowing well, each of her classmates performed spectacularly making their teacher announce a free hour as soon as they were done.

Shokuhou was nowhere to be found as always, not that Mikoto took note of that. The girl had always been skipping PE classes as she wished so color her surprise when she saw the blonde lurking on the corner a few minutes after their teacher declared their free time.

As mentioned above, Mikoto's eyes glanced down where the school's swimsuit snug comfortably around Shokuhou 's graceful body line, emphasizing on the nicely shaped swell around her chest.

Mikoto suddenly recalled how warm and soft they had been. Oh the comfort they provide-

And she promptly slapped herself for thinking that, alarming her classmates.

Shokuhou had been content standing by the side alone but the moment their classmates spotted her, she vaguely looked uncomfortable before that mask she often wore materialized itself.

Mikoto unknowingly crossed her arms as she watched the girls flocked to her as easily as a swarm of bees, talking a mile a minute, gesturing daintily with delightful expressions on their faces.

Many would have been clapping like a sea lion seeing a group of beautiful maidens standing close together and laughing, Mikoto however, felt irritably disturbed.

She got out of the water, the soft taps of her wet footsteps easily grabbed the attention of Shokuhou as if she was attune to listening to squelching noises.

Their classmates back away almost immediately after taking note of her passive expression.

These days, they don't bicker with as much venom as a blue ringed octopus but they still do bicker a lot so it's mainly a habit of the other girls to back the fuck up whenever these two were within two feet of each other. Things happen, that's all you need to know.

Mikoto started off with her usual greeting.

"Something must have happened for you to show up in class."

Shokuhou's smile was unperturbed. "Why I never thought you pay attention to my being exempted from classes"

"HAH? Of course I don't and please don't word it like you're innocent." Mikoto turned around and headed back to the pool. Shokuhou followed behind, immensely glad that she had an excuse to avoid their classmates.

"Oh, I know for sure we ARE above the rules Misaka-san. Do you really want to have that discussion with me, again?"

Mikoto ignored the clear opening for an argument, she entered the pool, floating on it and gestured for Shokuhou to come down as well. "Not really, Let's just agree to disagree on this one, okay? We can debate on it another time but today, since you're here - odd as it is, do whatever you want. Have fun for once"

Shokuhou looked at her as if she'd grown another head.

"You're awfully nice today, do you want something perhaps?"

Water sloshed aggressively "Oi"

The background noises of their expensive classmates filled up the silence for a few seconds. "I don't know what I want to do, I came here on a whim." Shokuhou entered the pool, dipping herself up to the neck onto the warm water before coming back up. The water only came up to her chest in this area. Those breast looked like they were floating...fuck! damn it!

Reset, reset that m in mind Mikoto!

On a whim my ass. She never does things 'on a whim'.

"I don't believe you."

"It's fine, the world doesn't revolve around your acceptance."

"Says the girl who calls herself 'queen'. That's embarrassing by the way"

"Silence! I'm super well respected unlike you! I think it's apt. . . besides I'mnottheonewhodecidedthat" she mumbled the last part.

Mikoto snorted as she adjusted her cap and stole a few glances towards the blonde who was drawing nearer, so she started to walk backwards, maintaining some distance. She made sure to stick to the side though, where their feet can comfortably flattened. The electromaster can imagine perfectly what would happen if they went to the deeper level. Shokuhou may know how to swim now but Mikoto knew she was still shit at it.

Well, Shokuhou Misaki is still shit at anything physical really but she's improving. A bit. Juuust a little bit. Progress is progress.

Suddenly it was a game, the two of them continued like that, almost circling the whole pool. Eyes on each other, daring—challenging one to look away, each rousing an unexpected fire within themselves, the water swayed around them, the gentle splashes humming its own tune of this sudden dance.

Whoever looks away loses.

There was some sort of understanding there, a connection both knew they had, they sync with each other somehow, a foot put forward-a foot step backward. Mikoto didn't know whatever that was but looking at Shokuhou's eyes, it made her really internalized that she found the girl to be so softly attractive, (she wouldn't deny that this time) that she can happily be entranced by the subtle brown specks flickering around the dominant golden hue of her eyes and her bow-shaped lips form a lazy smile.

By the time they had fully circled the pool, both sported impish grins, unable to suppress them any longer. Nothing of note was really comical, still, humor found them both anyway, by the twinkling of Shokuhou's eyes and the fact that she started giggling made Mikoto giggle herself. Each laughter egging the other to laugh more so than the last.

Mikoto slapped the water in her mirth, cutting Shokuhou's markedly girlish laughter as the water splashed her in the eye. "Kyah!"

Oh shit! Shokuhou's hurt! Drat!

"Oh crap! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to do that! It was the water!" Mikoto grasps her face gently, examining the area around her eye. Shokuhou stepped back, Mikoto followed, sticking close.

Shokuhou wiped her eyes and giggled some more. "Sure, Misaka-san. Blame the water. And will you stop doing that? You're making this a bigger deal than it actually is. I'm fine."

"Your selective hearing needs maintenance, Shokuhou." Mikoto scowled, forcefully manipulating the other's eyelid open, examining closely if her eyes were turning red or something. She had unknowingly backed the blonde into the smooth concrete of the pool, inching ever closer to get a good look. Neither realized the sudden silence of their classmates or the faint murmur a few seconds thereafter.

"Ack, Misaka-san!"

"Please stop moving so I can see!"

"I can assure you, my eye doesn't hurt anymore..."

The electromaster sighed and relaxed her arms down, placing them on either side of the blond's arms, not letting her escape. Shokuhou had this weird notion that she should not worry anyone. Which is dumb. "Okay then, open your eyes wide, don't blink yet."

Instead of making it easier for the both of them, Shokuhou fluttered her eyes cheekily, intent on raising something from her but Mikoto could see the soft red veins and the general red tint on the edges of Shokuhou's left eye and she felt bad for causing it. In fact, the overwhelming remorse she felt cracked her voice. "I'm so sorry, I- You're hurt. It's getting a bit red to the left edge-"

"I'm fine, honestly, it's just water and chlorine. Since when do you fret about me?"

"WhaWhat do you even mean? Of course I wou—yeah, that's–that IS a good quest.i..o..n.."

Mikoto froze. The lilting voice was supposed to lighten the mood, tease her, instead it was akin to a toy hammer whacking her in the face repeatedly, in increasing strength by a silver-back gorilla.

What the heck is she doing? What is she worrying for? It was just a water slap! Shokuhou can live with it, she said so herself! What the heck? It's like she's babying this woman when she doesn't even need it.

Mikoto raised her eyes to Shokuhou again, as if looking at her would solve the conundrum she found herself in. Starry eyes gazed back, face carefully blank, Shokuhou was watching her, waiting and anticipating but not giving her any hint as to what she hoped for. Thanks for the help

Backtracking a bit, Mikoto looked down, not even registering her wobbly reflection in the water. There were many instances where she panicked whenever she thinks Shokuhou is in danger, the security she feels as they help each other out and have as much fun as things go, the times when Mikoto longs for the blonde's presence or advice. Shokuhou being Shokuhou is the best however annoying she is, Mikoto wants her to be happy and safe and here. At her side.

That's supposed to mean something right? Right? So where is she going with this? Is she . . . is she really considering this?

Drat

Splak!

Blinking the water out of her eyes, Mikoto glared at the culprit.

"You've been thinking away. I suppose I'm not enough to keep you grounded."

Shokuhou's such a sweet person under all that chaotically arranged layers. She's so pretty too...so pretty and sexy and clever

"Misaka-san?"

Ah and she's so cute? How can someone be so cute? When she gets smug for nothing, the way she sweats and puffs so easily by just running for about 20 meters ONLY, or when she pretends to be playfully detached when she's already pulling strings in the background

"Brrueh?!"

Coming back to reality, Mikoto found herself trapped with the Shokuhou caging her in like she herself did a few minutes ago. Only this time, she's much closer, smirking and positively, radiantly beaming. Red eye and all.

"Misaka-san~" her voice, jeez her voice, "As cute as you are drifting off like that, I'd rather have you here with me.

Needless to say Mikoto hid in the water, down below on the lowest level, curling in on herself on the ground, for a long, long time.

Tuesday

Cafeteria

"Onee-sama, " Kuroko started, eating a piece of her sandwich. "Uiharu texted–did you read her text?"

Mikoto thoughtfully chewed for a few seconds before shaking her head then took another spoonful, her meal is almost gone. "What did she say?"

"She was complaining that Saten's been going AWOL more and more lately. It's getting worrisome, she said."

Mikoto continued to inhale her food. "Maybe she's onto something. Saten's probably fine. She knows what she's doing."

"Yeah, but what if she got into some shady stuff by accident?"

"Now, you're worrying. Saten's a big girl now, let her be. But if it's distressing you girls, we can just ask her directly. Easy peasy, right? Dont worry too much about it."

"You're awfully certain, do you know something we don't?"

Gesturing for Kuroko to wait with her index finger, Mikoto downed a whole glass of water in two seconds, burping and then proceeded to drink Kuroko's milk earning her a glare "I don't really. I'm just telling you and Uiharu by proxy not to worry too much, you'll get wrinkles going like that. Anyway, we have class so better text her back"

Mikoto looked at her best friend expectantly as she stood up. Kuroko shyly mumbled something before shoving four more sandwiches. Years of emergency situations make one an expert on inhaling food gracefully.

Mikoto swept her eyes around, noting the steady throng of students going in and out. One would imagine that just because the students here are one of the best of the best the country could offer, you can see no one procrastinating or beside themselves worrying for an upcoming exam. They would be in for a surprise. She noted with amusement some first years and second years copying assignments from each other or that one lone girl playing games on her phone as she expertly dodge her way out of the cafeteria.

Mikoto smiled. She had little to no sleep, made no stride in her homework for the next day it might as well be non existent and she hadn't studied for her own exams. She's majorly screwed but hey, her head had never been clearer. She felt good! great! Wonderful!

All because she was thinking of ㅡ

"Ara, look at that smile! Something must have happened!"

An electric current not like her own course through Mikoto's spine, she stood straighter as was the hairs on the back of her nape. She turned behind to address the owner of the voice. "I would most likely fail my exams...probablyㅡ"

OH.

She gotta run. She better go. She's going!

There was a scraping of a chair and the electromaster was gone before anyone near her could react.

"What just happened?" Kuroko mumbled, raising a brow towards the other level five who somehow appeared out of nowhere.

"Don't look at me Shirai-san, I might bite."
