As some of you may have noticed, this chapter is coming out quicker than normal and is shorter than normal, I'll explain at the end.

Enjoy guys.

Kal hovered in the air, he was just underneath the clouds and so he was hidden enough from view. His body would be too small to be seen by normal eyes, he was just too far away from others. Though that wasn't the case for him and he had a great view of what he was going to be flying in to. The Plaguelands was an accurate name he began to realize, the land itself just seemed so... dead.

He could barely see any green from the trees and grass and the amount of them was few and far between to begin with. From what he was able to find out from various sources this place was used for a fight against the undead when they first started to appear, it would seem that battle left an impression on the land. He didn't have an accurate number of miles for how big the Plaguelands was, but it was far from the smallest battlefield he's been on.

From his place high in the sky, he could see many small dots scurrying across the ground, at least that was when he used his eyes passively. As his iris twisted and moved like a camera lenses the image of the ground got closer and closer. He could see every single one of the small dot shapes had grown into people, or the general size of people. He could see many of the different species of Azeroth walking no... marching.

The ground underneath him was battlefield or it was not too long ago. He could see many bodies and discarded weapons scattered everywhere on the ground 'The fight must just have ended' he thought to himself as he contemplated what the best idea going forward would be. He had his primary objective, find and capture Kel'thuzad, bring down the necropolises 'Naxxramas' and as a secondary objective he would help evacuate any prisoners that will need help. Looking over his shoulder he could see two dozen drones hovering the air behind him, waiting for the orders to move in a help transport prisoners. As well as help in combat of course.

Speaking of his objective, he could taste it in the air, feel the vibrations all around him as he stayed in place. Looking back down at the soldiers who were going around collecting weapons, armour and bodies as well. Kal saw a shadow start to cover the battlefield and he turned his head slightly, when he did so he could see his target. The necropolises was flying over the area and from it, almost like transporters, he could see blue beacons appear on the sides of the large structure and when he looked closer he could see another blue beacon appear on the ground right underneath the one of the necropolises. Teleport beacons for fast travel to and from their base and fortress.

If Kal started to call Naxxramas a floating goth pyramid, he wouldn't be too far off. Their where no thrusters or engines of course as it used magic to keep it afloat. It was large, he would say that. At first glance he would say that it would match up well enough to a football stadium, it was made with large black stone and it had massive skulls embedded on all of its walls. Seeing his target, Kal started to form the plan in his head and what the best course of action would be.

A part of him thought that it might be best to go down to the ground and blitz the ground forces before he started on Naxxramas so it wouldn't receive reinforcements from the ground but that would give those on the necropolises a chance to use some type of defence artillery, when he and Jaina spoke she gave him the basic idea of how it works and what it can do. Mainly how it can fire a type of magical blast similar to how a catapult would fire a boulder. There was also the possibility that it could just fly away and retreat, if it flew away then he could always catch up with it but then again there was a chance that it could do a type of emergency teleport.

The other option would be to land on the necropolises and start from there, the pros for that plan being that he would hopefully be able to sneak his way towards Kel'thuzard and deal with him quickly. Risky and it would be difficult to use the lasso to interrogate one of these Death knights without others noticing. He didn't know how powerful the master of this place would be, there was always the chance that the one who rose the Death Knights from the dead had some type of sixth sense when it comes to them, like if they suddenly died.

Then there was the final option, use his heat vision in a big surprise opening attack. He shouldn't have a problem doing enough damage to knock it out of the sky and down onto their own forces. On the plus side, he would wipe out most of the Scourge's forces in a single attack, a powerful weapon out of action and preventing them from having a mobile fortress, not to mention sending those that survived into complete disarray. In the confusion of it all, there was a chance that the Scarlet Crusade might take advantage of it all and launch their own counter offensive. Then again there was also a chance that the forsaken would try that as well, it was never a guarantee that Sylvanas wouldn't listen to his request.

The cons of that plan of course would be that any prisoner onboard would be placed in terrible danger 'though it wouldn't be much more than they would be now' He thought to himself. It was possible that knocking down the necropolis and turning the entire thing into a warzone somewhere else, that could be become the distraction that's needed in order for the drones to evacuate the hostages.

Fila Wildsong stood with her arms crossed and eyes narrowed as she stood on the northwest balcony of Naxxramas, her blue dead eyes looking over the landscape in front of her. Soon this land will be claimed for the scourge, those fools in the Crusade will be crushed and brought back as the Lich Kings new servants, those forsaken traitors will be destroyed and the weapons they created to use against them will be turned on the rest of the living 'such was the will of the master' she thought to herself.

She's been standing in this spot since Naxxramas began to fly here, hours and hours without sleep or rest. Not that she needed any, even with her heavy black armour and rune enchanted great sword on her back, her undead state prevented her from having the need for something like sleep or food. Her stamina was unending as was her undead life on this world. The master gifted her with many powers when he brought her into his service, something she would be grateful for.

Before her service began, she was a simple solider of Quel'Thalas. Standing on the walls of their city, she lacked the strength to survive the battle, she lacked the skill to kill the enemy's leader. But upon her death, the master saw fit to use her and give her a second chance to serve him. When she was raised, her first thought was how she could be so foolish as to fight against the inevitable undead Scourge. The will of the master was the only way forward, she knew that now with all of her undead heart, that service to the Lich king was the only way this world will survive against whatever enemy would come next.

The living just didn't know it yet, but that's ok because they would show them. They would show them all. A cruel smile came onto her face as she thought about it, all those who would fight would be crushed, those who couldn't fight would either be turned into cannon fodder or their flesh would be used for the creation of the many different types of abominations, much like those weaklings they had in the construct quarter. But those that could fight, they would be used like she was, in combat, turned into the undead Knights of the Scourge. With their skills of war, necromantic power of magic, being unable to feel pain or mercy, having unlimited stamina and no need for food or sleep. Herself and her fellow Death Knights where the most capable fighters on the planet.

Soon all would feel the will of the master and all will serve. A small dot in her vision caught her attention and her blue ghostly eyes looked up to the sky to see an odd shaping coming towards her. Her first thought was that it was a bird.

There was a flash of wind, and she was gone.

The force she felt over her body was unlike any she has felt before, she felt as though she was falling. She was moving so quickly that her long white her wasn't waving the wind but instead was as straight as a sword. Her mouth was opening against her will as the force of the wind was pushing it open. Then she stopped moving and all she could see was the blue sky above her and the white clouds underneath and that was it. Except for one thing, she felt the hand on the back of her neck and immediately reached behind her to grab and try and pry herself free.

Turning her head, she could see the one who dare attack her. Her own eyes narrowed in anger at the sight. It was a man, his eyes where a glowing red and his face was scarred but hardened. She couldn't see much of the details as he was directly in front of the sun so the glare was darkening most of his features. What she could make out was the tip of a golden trident poking out from over his shoulder, the blue suit he was wearing with a noticeable 'S' on the centre of the chest. She made out golden armour pieces on his wrists, that seemed to burn her eyes when looked at closely, making it clear to her that they were holy in nature.

After the second it took her to get a look of her attacker she acted. Being unable to reach her weapon she instead pulled her hands back and readied to quickly unleash a blast of her blood magic to kill her attacker. Though before she could even summon a little of what she would need to attack, the man let her go. Her eyes narrowed in anger as she fell through the air, through the clouds and towards the ground.

Her arms flailed as she tried to balance herself before she hit the ground, turning herself around so she was facing the ground. She only just made it through the clouds and could see that she was going to land right on top of Naxxramas. Then she stopped again.

Looking down to her chest, she could see that a golden rope was holding her in place. Her body was pulled up slightly and she was turned around in order to face the man who was holding the other end of the rope "the Lasso of Hestia shall burn away all falsehoods, even those you tell yourself" he started as the rope started to burn her skin.

Despite not being able to feel pain, for the first time since she was brought into the master's service, she screamed in pain "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" the rope was burning her like she never was before.

"Turn your back on the shadows once more" he continued to speak as she screamed "your will is your own. Who are you?" he asked her.

Despite all the pain she was feeling, the anger within her came forth and her narrowed eyes looked up to snarl at her attacker "I... am a warrior... of the Scourge AAAHHHHHH" the rope burned her even more than before.

She couldn't see it but to Kal, he could make out wisps of black smoke leave her body in some areas "to long you've been consumed by the dark, no more. Let the light of Hestia envelop you, let yourself be freed from the chains of domination that bind you. Who are you!?" he yelled the last time to really get the message across.

"I am... his Death Knigh AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH" she screamed again, the black smoke pouring out of her much more than it did before "I am his Knight AAAAAHHHHH... I AM FILA WILDSONG!" she shouted at the top of her lungs as a black silhouette of her own body separated itself from her. Kal watched with narrowed eyes and the dark and ghostly apparition of Fila thrashed and screamed silently before fading away.

The woman bound by the lasso continued to take deep breaths, taking the chance that the threat was delt with. Kal pulled on the robe and brought the woman closer to him, despite the uncomforting aura she had around her, much like Sylvanas. He ignored it for now, he placed his hand right at her back where the knot of the lasso was keeping her secure "Fila, can you hear me?" he asked her calmly.

The woman slowly turned her head to look at him, her expression was one of exhaustion and sadness "it's so quite" she whispered though it was more to herself then him "how did you get him out?" she asked him.

"The lasso of Hestia burns away all types of lies, including the belief that your life belonged to another" he told her calmly "I know you just went through a lot, but need your help" he started and despite her recent liberation, despite how exhausted she seemed to be, she was listening "I want to do for all the Death Knights what I did for you. There's so many of them that need to be freed as well but I can't do it without your help" which was true, he couldn't just drop her off on the ground and start freeing Death Knights left and right, the others would notice and attack him or more importantly, the prisoners they have.

"I will help" she said quickly, her eyes narrowing with determination and anger "I can bring another to the spot you brought me, then again and again and again" despite the position they were in, she was able to straighten herself up "but there are some who where this bad before they were raised, they will not like this" she warned him.

"If that is the case then they will be delt with" he told her "I'll take you back to the balcony and retreat. Bring someone to same spot you were, and we shall continue the process as many times as it takes" he said telling her the plan.

She nodded at him "I understand" she said.

The Trident of Atlan slammed down into the head of the downed abomination as it lay on the ground, for good measure he gave the weapon a tug and ripped the head clean off, not wanting to take any chances with an undead. Though he couldn't help but feel a great deal of pity for whatever this thing used to be before it became this.

The sounds of battle around him started to dwindle as well, it took an hour to get a decent number of the Death Knights together and free them from the Lich Kings control, thirty-eight in total. Not even a quarter of the total number on board Naxxramas but it was enough to give them a foot hold inside the necropolis. Turning around to look at the area they had just secured, the Death Knights were doing what they had been trained to do and killing the rest, they were killing the skeletons, the pretty much zombie creatures and the mages. Not that he could blame them for that, based on what they said many of the mages here joined willingly.

The large hall like area they found themselves in acted as a type of training ground for the newly initiated. Along the walls where forges, cages and operating tables, in the middle where Kal himself was seemed to be a lowered combat pit "Sir, the area is secure" a voice called from behind him and he could see the second Death Knight he freed was standing on the edge of the pit looking down at him.

This was the captain of this hall, Damien Stevenson. Fila thought it best for Kal to secure the leader before the others. Something he agreed with, unlike the others here, he had experience with this undead life and the armour he wore was much more ornate and bulky compared to the others "then we continue with the plan" Kal said as he hovered into the air and moved out of the pit before moving back to the floor next to the captain "secure the entrance!" he yelled to no-one in particular "don't stop those from getting in, just let us know so we can capture and free them"

Upon hearing his orders, a group of four moved over towards the door and stood at guard positions. Everyone else gathered around him, the amount of necromantic magic around him even caused the ring on his finger to flare up in order to protect him from it. Reaching behind his cape, he pulled out a small device that he let go of and it hovered in front of them all. To the surprise of everyone around him, a 3D map of Naxxramas appeared before them all. Not the most accurate map but it was enough to get the basic idea of the necropolis layout.

The Death Knights didn't comment on the tech but all of them were paying attention to what was in front of him "Now that we have a decent force freed from control, we can move forward, we have to move and secure the construct quarter. From the intel I have, that is where the prisoners are being kept, correct?" he asked looking to the captain.

Damien nodded at the question but kept his eyes on the map, taking a step forward he pointed at the map "we take this path and follow it through we can get their quickly but there is a great deal of enemies in the way. The quarter itself is full of the stitched together abominations and mages, they have very little in terms of Knights"

"When we move in, the mages will contact the Lich and they'll know we have been freed" Fila announced to them as well "the response will be a strong one"

"But it would be a defendable one" Damien added before continuing "those corridors are narrow, their numbers would mean little within them"

"And what of the Horsemen?" a voice called from the crowd though Kal didn't know from who.

"Horsemen?" Kal asked with his own voice, not the first time hearing such a term used, if it was similar to what it was back on Earth then he did not want to deal with them at all.

"The Four Horsemen are the most powerful Death Knights" Damien started to explain "the most feared and most skilled, each one of them being powerful figures even before they were raised. The dammed Lich considers them to be his own personal royal guard and he considers them to be his greatest creations. The first is Thane Korth'azz. A dwarf Paladin that holds considerable power over flame, we do not know how he able to do this. The speculation is that he was killed and raised when the Lich king killed a large number of the Knights of the Silver Hand. The second is the Lady Blaumeux, a mage with considerable power of the shadows and the void, it's not uncommon for her to drain the essence and souls from those who disappoint her, both alley and enemy alike. The third is Sir Zeliek, a paladin in life and somehow despite everything, his faith in the light is so strong that even in this undead state it still answers his call, considering our own undead nature, fighting him will prove to be more difficult for us. The final and the most worrisome, Alexandros Morgraine" Kal didn't miss the shudder that went through all those that were gathered "he's leads the Horsemen, a master swordsman who's control over the Scourges magic is the most powerful. No doubt he will be the most difficult to overcome"

"They won't come" Fila added with her arms crossed "they're too arrogant for that. They won't come to face us until we force their hands" she added with narrowed eyes.

"Ok, if the construct quarter is here" Kal spoke as he pointed to one of the large halls in the corner of the necropolis "we could attack from both sides, everyone here goes in through the main entrance while I smash through one of the outside walls. We can use a shock and awe tactics to surprise the enemy. Catch them off guard, any prisoners will be extracted through the exit in the wall that I make on the way in" he told them the plan and all of them followed his words with interest.

"How do you plan on getting them out?" a voice called out to him.

Upon hearing the question, Kal turned his wrist and pressed a small piece of fabric just ahead of the bracelet, the place his pressed with his finger lit up for a moment and a couple of drones flew into the hall and hovered in the air, as the Knights all looked up at them, Kal smirked as one flew forward. Through its singular eye, a beam of blue light shot and seized the Knight. Despite the suddenness of it all, the Knights didn't flinch as one of them was lifted into the air and moved about slightly before being lowered back down. When the heavy metal boots hit the ground, the drones flew back outside.

"Once the prisoners have been evacuated" Kal continued "we can turn the entire army here into a mess of disorientation and chaos. When we take the Construct quarter and hold the door for long enough, I can fly out and attack the source of magic within this place" the image of the map changed from the interconnecting corridors of the necropolis into a full image of Naxxramas proper. Though an area in the centre of pyramid was highlighted "this point right here is the highest energy reading in this place, so I assume this is what is keeping this place afloat. I can go in through the top and out the bottom before anyone knows what's happening" everyone watched with interest as he went about his plan "the necropolis falls on top of the army underneath. The landing will be rough but now that the prisoners are out of the picture we don't need to worry about that. You all will have no problem surviving it"

"Neither will anyone else" Fila added as she looked at Kal "this plan of yours won't damage the enemy numbers apart from the cannon fodder"

Kal shook his head "no, but it will create confusion. Enough so that will give us a chance to subdue more Death Knights before they regain their composure and put up a defence. Once we have enough numbers we start to march through, both fighting and freeing others as well. If the Horsemen come for us then we shall deal with them we will try and free them but if it can't be done then we put them down. Are there any objectoions?" he asked them all.

There were a couple of grumbles from around him but no-one objected to the plan, not that he could blame them. They were at a large disadvantage in every way and their whole plan rallies on the idea that the Death Knights are going to be too disorganized to come up with a good defence "then let's move, it's time the Lich king loses his mobile fortress" he added before turning and making his way to the balcony. At the mention of the Lich king and how this plan would ruin his own, the Death Knights found a new resolved vigour for their task 'nothing like the idea of pissing off the enemy to get people working' he thought to himself as he floated off the balcony.

Kal stayed in the air just outside the walls of Naxxramas, his body practically pushed up against the walls of the floating necropolis. He needed to be this close as there would always be the chance that the ones inside had a way of detecting him if he was a certain distance away. Right up against it on the other hand was another story. His ear was pressed against the black stone and he was listening intently to what he could, he wasn't able to see through the stone due to the no doubt many magical protections. So, hearing would have to do.

Through the stone, his ears could pick up many different things. The more he focused, the more things became clear. He could pick up the multitude of different footsteps, but some were heavier than others and based on what he's been told, the lumbering abominations would be many. He could hear the sounds of different forms of energy being used, which after spending time on this world, knew it was magic. Which meant many mages on the other side. Then there was the hardest thing to hear.

The cries and whimpering.

It sounded like it was coming from a multitude of different people from all ages and genders, he didn't know for sure but there was a chance that it might include different races as well. It was hard to listen too, no matter how many times he heard it, it would always be difficult. He closed his eyes and tired his best to fight off his instincts that were screaming at him to save them.

But he couldn't, not yet. He had to wait for the right moment, if he went too early then the whole plan would be ruined. He needed to charge in when everyone else would, then the chances of the alert being sounded was lowered drastically. Which is what he should be planning now, turning his attention away from the sounds of people he instead turned back to the sounds of energy or magic if you prefer. From what he was told, these are the guys that will sound the alarm.

That was when he heard it, the sound a of large number of footsteps approaching from further away. Quickly separating from the wall and flying a small distance away, he got himself ready. He pulled the trident from his back and placed it in his right hand while pulling back his left, he listened closely to what he was hearing "state your business here!" a voice spoke from where he assumed the entrance to the quarter was.

"Here's the business" he could make out Damien voice through the wall and knew the time was now. He flew forward with speed and used his strength when he reached the target.

To those inside, they just saw a Death Knight captain march in with a small company of others, one of the mages confront him on the sudden intrusion but only to be met with a sword that removed his head. Before everyone else inside could draw their weapons and attack back, the back wall was blown inwards and to the prisoners inside the cages looked on in awe and even hope was a man, carrying golden weapons, a bright red cape flew inside the quarter. With him, the sunlight bathing all those within in rays of warm golden light.

Ok guys, I assume some of you lot will notice that this chapter is both shorter but also coming out quicker than expected. The reason for that is that I'm trying out a new method, instead of one chapter every ten days, I'm going to try two every ten days instead. Let me know if you prefer this or not.

Anyway, let me know what you think in the reviews, and I'll see you in the next chapter.
