C10 Halloween

Quirrell listened carefully to Tanya's words as he inspected the documents she had given him. When he finished he raised his head and said.

"You have done... a great job, this strategy of making a hole to get there, I can nullify the noise it causes, however, I imagine that the interior of this place will be full of detectors and protections, besides, to think that a simple magical explosion can hurt these old walls-"

Tanya laughed in his face. "I assure you, there is nothing that gets in my way when I decide to do so, the problem is that it may be... not so discreet."

Quirrell nodded before declaring. "We'll pull off the heist on Halloween night, I'll sneak a troll into the school and walk into the dining hall in the middle of dinner to announce it, when Dumbledore send the students to their dorms we'll meet in the hallway that you have indicated and we will carry out the raid."

Tanya frowned. "Not knowing what's on the other side? no, this won't be a raid, it would be too risky, it's better to just create the hole with the explosion and proceed with caution, especially with the detection spell concern you mentioned."

Quirrell interrupted. "All the more reason we must push as much as we can in this first incursion. With the chaos generated by the troll, the teachers will have to decide which threat will be the greatest!"

Tanya clicked her tongue. "And doesn't it occur to you that someone breaking into this place while there's a troll around is pretty revealing? Whatever's in there seems well-defended, if there are indeed detection spells, they'll likely ignore the troll and head straight for us at which point neither of us will end up in a good place."

"However," Tanya thought. "If that happens I have my emergency insurance," She told herself as she thought about what would happen if she was caught in the middle of this.

"Instead we can use this to test the waters, breach the wall and investigate the potential magical defenses and detections at the site, if we are discovered we have a chance to flee and we have time to determine if there is some kind of alarm or not."

Quirrell thought about Tanyas' words and muttered to himself for a while before hesitantly agreeing.

It was October 31st, Tanya was wandering through the Slytherin common room lost in her thoughts when she heard someone tapping her on the shoulder, turning her head slightly she saw something that confused her.

"Chief, there is someone who wants to see you."

Crabbe and Goyle accompanied by a hooded student greeted her.

Tanya tilted her head and peeked out from under the girl's hood, her eyes widened when she saw a brown-haired, brown-eyed girl with tears streaming down her cheeks, Tanya's jaw dropped at Hermione's pleading gaze and she gave Crabbe and Goyle a hard look, a look that seemed ready to put them through torture training, with a cold sweat Crabbe hastened to say.

"Wait, wait, we didn't do anything, that's how we found her."

Tanya gave them a suspicious look before inspecting the Slytherin common room for any onlookers trying to eavesdrop, the people there seemed to be all focused on their own business but Tanya knew better from the weeks she had spent in this house that everyone is always listening, her relationship with Gryffindors was well known but it had mixed reactions by her peers, however, a Gryffindor inside the Slytherin common room, even Tanya knew that it went beyond being a suicide, not only for the Gryffindor in question but for any Slytherin who treated them as anything other than garbage, in that sense Crabbe and Goyle were already engaged and to this was added the fact that they were the ones who put her in the room common.

Pulling out her Ebony wand Tanya muttered a few things as she waved her wand, then took Hermione's hand and led her at a brisk pace to a corner of the room.

The girl's hood fell slowly revealing a Slytherin uniform and Draco Malfoy's face, some looked with interest for a few moments before ignoring them, Crabbe and Goyle looked at each other in confusion for a few seconds before following.

Once in a more private place Tanya sat in an armchair and her gaze softened at Draco/Hermione's hurt face, such a look on Draco's face was enough to make her forget about her worries for a moment. Remembering the privacy spell Quirrell taught Tanya she waved her Ebony wand once more making sure no noise would leak from this conversation.

With a sigh she looked at Hermione who had stopped crying and was looking at Tanya's magical feats with a face of utter disbelief, smiling wickedly at this Tanya told her.

"Do you have a mirror?"

Hermione nodded slowly in confusion.

"Take a look."

Obeying Tanya's orders Hermione jumped up from her seat and inspected what she had realizing that her face was under some kind of illusion, her incredulous gaze turned to Tanya.

" H-how?"

Tanya smiled even though she felt some discomfort inside, apart from Quirrell, Ye Olde, and Borgis, she hadn't shown anyone her skill with illusions.

"I'll tell you one day when we're closer friends," Tanya said evasively before changing the subject.

"Would you mind telling me about" Tanya traced her finger from the base of her eye and down her cheek to simulate a tear.

Hermione's face turned sour. "I-it's...Ron...s-said I was unbearable and didn't have any friends..."

Tanya cupped a hand to her chin and leaned back on her sofa, cross-legged, a move that seemed natural to even the most experienced eye but was quite deliberate on Tanya's part to keep the girl tense for a few seconds before saying. "And what am I to you if not a friend? Wasly and anyone who complains about someone as... special as you, that kind of person is an idiot and their opinions should be completely irrelevant to you and any reasonable being."

Hermione's eyes went watery again as she cupped her hands over her mouth and said in a pleading tone. "Y-you, do you consider me a friend? Really? Even though I'm a Gryffindor?"

Tanya subtly licked her lips before saying with a concerned tone. "Hermione my friend, things like houses shouldn't be an obstacle in friendships, people like Wasly who care so much about something we can't control like the house we belong to are just stupid."

"B-but, isn't Slytherin like that with blood purity, too?"

Tanya glared at Crabbe Y Goyle as she asked. "Are you like that?"

Perhaps in another universe, they would both answer with confidence that blood was everything, and they would repeat the mantras that their relatives had hammered into them, however, Tanya had reset their heads and had hammered an idea with a lot more force. What idea?: What Tanya says is the law.

Both boys shook their heads in a sort of panic while doing their best not to make their panic obvious.

Tanya nodded and smiled, before looking back at Hermione. "As I said, people who judge for something you don't control should be brought before a firing squad."

Hermione bowed her head, fewer tears falling from her eyes, she was silent for a few minutes and Tanya didn't say anything, but she was mentally unsettled. Hermione finally raised her head and said, "Thank you."

Tanya smiled warmly. "The pleasure is all mine my friend."

PoV Harry Potter

"It's not strange that no one can put up with it, it's a nightmare, I'm serious."

Ron told me as we walked back from the Charms class where Hermione tried and failed to teach Ron the correct way to pronounce wingardium devious. Levi-ou-saaaaaaa.

I can't say I've got it right now, but honestly, Hermione is as studious as ever, however deep down I feel a bit like Ron about her.

While I was thinking that in my head I felt a small blow on my shoulder and saw Hermione almost running out of the place, I thought I saw a small tear begin to form in the corner of her eye before losing sight of her.

Suddenly feeling a little bad for thinking badly of her, I turned to Ron with an accusing look and told him. "I think she heard you."

Ron just shrugged.

"And? She must have realized by now that that's why she doesn't have any friends".

I thought for a moment about all the times I saw Hermione alone in the common room and I couldn't help but agree with a bit, the closest thing she had to a friend was Neville who made her tea in the common room from time to time, however, nobody liked Neville, before people did not know how to treat him but since he began to serve Tanya people openly treated him as a traitor and it was not uncommon to hear how some cruel students told him that if he loved so much to the Slytherins that maybe he should move house, Ron being one of them.

I sighed once more as I looked at Ron, and thought to myself, maybe... it wasn't the best idea... but I shook my head and told myself that Ron had a good heart... he just was kind of stupid and quick to anger, he was a Gryffindor after all and everything Tanya does: the incident with the rememberall, sitting at our table and cursing his brothers... well his anger is justified in the last one, but I feel that perhaps Rons' pride is too fragile...

I wonder... If I wasn't the boy who survived, would Ron be my friend? If I had sat next to Tanya on the train, maybe things would have been different, I mean, she's an orphan too, She doesn't treat me differently from the others... Although the latter may be because she has the Slytherin complex of feeling superior to everyone else...

A headache plagued me during the next class, during the afternoon I searched for Hermione with my eyes but I couldn't find her anywhere, I tried to ask if anyone had seen her and the only thing I heard was that she was last seen together with Crabbe and Goyle.

Concerned I said this to Ron and he went white for a moment before standing up and saying.

"It just can't be! The Slytherins kidnapped Hermione we have to save her!"

"Who do you say kidnapped me?"

And there, behind Ron, was Hermione with red eyes.

"oh... I heard that the Slytherins kidnapped you."

Hermione chuckled lightly in a way that gave me chills.

"Oh, dear Wasly, I was just seeing a friend."

I noticed how she wiped away the dried tears and stuck her tongue out at Ron then turned and walked out into the dining room.

I noticed how Ron's face turned red and after a few moments his face lit up with realization and horror, he looked me in the eye and said slowly. "There's only one person who calls me... Wasly ..." With a frown he stated. "She's a friend of Tanya's!"

And with a new complicated feeling about Tanya, I went down with Ron to Halloween dinner.

All the day's worries vanished instantly as soon as I entered the place. A thousand bats traveled across the ceiling and enchanted pumpkins decorated the place...

Soon a large feast appeared on the table and not being able to hold myself down I scooped up a large French fry... at that moment however, Ron, who I thought should be attacking the food with more impetus, shook me while looking with his mouth. something open across the dining room.

I look away and can't stop my chin from dropping.

On the other side, at the Slytherin table, a particular group surrounded a girl with golden hair like gold, I soon realized that I wasn't the only one peering, Tanya was as beautiful as ever, but maybe because of how she behaved... I... she is like a princess from fairy tales... yes; Without a doubt, she seems to be worthy of royalty.

To her right is Draco, to her left Hermione, surrounding the formation were Crabbe and Goyle, standing behind Tanya with a happy face was Neville, and finally, a third-year Hufflepuff stood next to Neville with a curious face... So many friends, and so much confidence, like she is just above anyone else but without the need to prove it, as it was just something she was born with.

I'm jealous...

Ron next to me gritted his teeth and started to make a small growling sound, he seemed ready to spit out bile, but at that moment, Professor Quirrell ran into the dining room gasping... And before Dumbledore, he said between gasps for air.

"ah-ah- a-a troll in the dungeons... tt-thought y-you should know."

After which he collapsed on the ground...

Author's note.

Sorry for the short chapter, just like the chapter, I'm kind of short on creative energy right now

Now, Tanya's influence grows and grows as she and Voldy work their way to the Philosopher's Stone.

Hermione is seduced/indoctrinated by Tanya into a so-called friendship.

And in the next chapter, the outcome of the troll event... and maybe quidditch if I have time.

However, history is not set in stone, (yet).

So give your opinion, and review and maybe you would see some of your ideas appear in the story in the future...

Sincerely

"I want a coffee"

P.S. I could probably do another 2000 words for the chapter after I have coffee and post the chapter a bit later but I'd rather post now with the ending I have than risk taking up to another week to finish the chapter.
