It was night aboard the venture. Krabs and Coralhorn were sitting at a table, eating and discussing the Skull island natives. They wondered what they could possibly give to them that would satisfy them. Coralhorn said,
"Well, I've done some business on the black market, so we could maybe give them weapons to fight off that Kong fellow."
Krabs passionately replied while chewing his food,
"But not before I get t' film the son of a bitch!"
"Sure sure, whatever you say Eugene."
Noticing a look of deep thought on his old superiors face, Krabs asked him,
"What's the matter, admiral?"
Coralhorn looked down at the map and grimly said,
"We don't belong here. Somethings up."
"Ah relax, I didn' come all these miles on yer stinking ship to give up now! What's troubling ye?"
Coralhorn grabbed a cigarette and smoked it as he told Krabs.
"Well if you didn't notice, they offered to trade 6 gals to get your frycook's mammal friend."
"What, ye mean those savages? Come on admiral, I'm sure everythin' will be fine once we give 'em some other goodies. I bet they'll lose their minds once they use a rifle for the first time. Or maybe we can give 'em Krabby Patties. Fer a price o' course."
"They ain't savages. They're smarter than you think. They've got a system, and whatever we did, we messed up that system."
Coralhorn pointed to the island and continued.
"Look, I don't know what that Kong thing is. All I've heard is rumor. But it's clear that they fear him more than death itself. When they saw Sandy, they saw a possible permanent solution to their problem, and we denied them salvation. Do you really think your overpriced burgers are gonna be enough to make up for that?"
"I dunno, maybe? And you don't know, maybe they can use those guns to fight off Kong, like ye said."
"Maybe it's you who doesn't know. For all I know, that Kong creature can take bullets like they're nothing. All I know is that something hasn't been right since we got here."
The sound of drums bellowed in the distance.
"You hear that, don't you?"
Krabs looked out the window towards the wall and saw a glow of orange flames coming from the village. Coralhorn grimly said,
"Their twisted ceremony is still going on."
Sandy stood on deck, watching the waves and twiddling her thumbs. The whole thing on the island was very concerning. The stuff about sacrifices unnerved her, but she hoped that would be it. Unbeknownst to her, natives were making their way to the ship aboard a canoe. As she prepared to head to her cabin, these natives jumped out and began attempting to restrain them.
However, Sandy managed to utilize her karate skills to begin beating up the natives, kicking and chopping at them with wild fury. She even ended up breaking off one of their necklaces. Unfortunately, one of the native's spears eventually found its way into the side of her air helmet, shattering it. As Sandy gasped for air, the natives took this chance to restrain her. As her emergency air helmet was deployed, one of the natives frantically whispered in her ear in his tongue,
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry."
The natives then hauled Sandy over the side, getting her into the canoe and rowing off to the island. Spongebob, overhearing this commotion, decided to check it out. He searched the deck, calling out,
"Sandy? Sandy? Hey where are you?"
The young sponge then noticed one of the native's necklaces on the floor. Shocked, Spongebob picked it up and ran towards the captain's quarters. He shoved the door open as Krabs and Coralhorn were looking out at the island. Squidward was also in the room writing the script. He frantically said,
"Mr Krabs! I can't find Sandy, and I found this on deck! It looks like what the natives were wearing!"
Squidward's eyes widened in fear, as they all heard the drums on the island get louder. Krabs walked out of the captain's quarters, and his eyes narrowed as he knew what they had to do. He told Coralhorn,
"Tell yer men to stop all the engines. We're going in."
Coralhorn did as Mr Krabs told him, and told the men over the intercom that the natives had taken Sandy. A few minutes later, mayhem was going on onboard the ship. The crew were grabbing as much ammunition as they could carry, and Mr Krabs was pulling out all the gas bombs they had. The crew now understood why he had them, and Krabs yelled to Spongebob,
"Boy, hold these!"
He tossed Spongebob a large crate of gas bombs, which fell to the floor with a thud as Spongebob caught them, their weight crushing his hands. Struggling, the young frycook slowly lifted them and weakly saluted, saying in a strained voice,
"Aye aye, sir!"
As this was happening, the sailors were picking up guns, rifles, knives, and even machine guns stored in the quarters. Coralhorn also ran up to Krabs and handed him something. It was an old pistol, previously used by Mr Krabs during his service in the navy. Krabs was shocked to see it, but nodded at Coralhorn. He then ran into a cabin, and when he got out, he was wearing the same fishing/hunting outfit he had worn while he and his employees had been clam fishing 2 years prior.
All of the sailors then quickly loaded into the boats, and were hoisted down, heading ashore. As he was rowing the boat he was on, Squidward noticed that Mr Krabs was holding the camera, and scowled angrily.
Meanwhile, Sandy was being dragged by 2 natives. She attempted to thrash against them, but each attempt was met with the native's grips tightening. They led her through their village as she was showered with rice, flowers and other resources by the onlookers. The wall's gates then swung open, revealing an altar with 2 pillars and behind it was darkness in the shape of neverending jungle.
She could only imagine what was behind it. The natives walked her up the altar's staircase and tied her hands to the pillars, then running back and closing the gates. Afterwards, there was silence. After about a minute, this silence was broken by the tribe leader proclaiming,
"Hi Rei Orbio Dongo Kongo!"
He then signaled the men next to him to ring a gong and strike a wooden pillar with holes in it. They did so, and the pillar made an echo-y smacking sound. Almost as if it was a dinner bell.
"O'shi Okebi Sharoo Koibi!"
The pillar was struck again, and everyone present began to hear the sound of branches splintering in the distance.
"MIde Mu Kababeraman tabayo!"
The sound grew louder and louder.
"Ax bass das dergan!"
Deep, animalistic growls were heard.
"MU TEN CHAS TARABA, O'KONGU!"
The trees in front of the altar were pushed away by giant dark gray hands with brown fur behind them. From the darkness, eyes opened, and a bone chilling roar was heard. A shocked and terrified Sandy beheld the 25 sea-foot figure of Kong, who looked like a silverback gorilla from the surface but with brown fur and gills on both sides of his neck to allow him to breathe.
Curious, he poked her, causing her to swing on the pillars. He had never seen a creature quite like her before. He then looked to the cheering natives, snarled, and undid the ropes tying Sandy. As she fell into his arms, the feisty squirrel began to kick and thrash against him, with Kong actually feeling it, but it was only like a mosquito bite. Eventually getting annoyed at this, he flicked Sandy in the head, knocking her out instantly.
The mighty beast then looked up and roared at the natives, swatting a hand at them before disappearing back into the jungle. At the same time, the sailors arrived just in time to hear Kong roar, and fired their guns in his direction. The natives, having never seen a gun nor heard gunshots before, fled into their huts.
Mr Krabs smirked. He knew they had to go after whatever that was. The men then ran to the wall and Coralhorn yelled,
"Alright men, shove it aside!"
The sailors did so, but it took all their might combined. After it was over, they all lined up as Coralhorn gave out orders.
"Alright! We're venturing into dangerous territory here, men! To cover more ground, I'm splitting us into 2 teams! The first team'll consist of Krabs, Squidward, Spongebob, Patrick, and 10 of our crew! The rest will join me on team 2! All in favor?!"
The sailors all cheered, and quickly gathered up all the guns, ammo, water and food they would need to survive. Krabs pulled out the camera and began filming the whole thing, and Spongebob, Patrick and Squidward all had a conversation.
"Well guys, looks we're in for the adventure of a lifetime, huh?"
"Yeah, the adventure of all time!"
"Sigh, why did I agree to do this?"
With nothing else to say, both teams trudged into the jungle, the only goal on their minds being to save Sandy. But Krabs had….different motives…
