It's been four years since the loss of Naruto, but like him, they stood back up and continued on, living each day in his sacrifice. Since then, Inko and Izuku had moved into the house in the woods, after a year of getting it legal and all. While it now took longer to get to places, the feeling of him in the house made it all worth it.

It was four in the morning when Izuku was making his way out of the house to start his early training, starting out with a five mile run around the forest. As he started his run, Izuku couldn't stop thinking about how much his life had changed.

After the death of his father, Naruto, and getting the house to be recognized as a resident, they had changed their names from Inko and Izuku Midoriya to Inko Uzumaki and Izuku Uzumaki. No one really knew why they added the name of a man that wasn't married into the family, but to them and Mitsuki, the only other person to know about Naruto and his past, they cherished it. Inko even wears the ring on her wedding finger, as a symbol of her love for him, hardly ever taking it off. Izuku has his red one on his right hand, along with the chibi bracelets on each hand.

Izuku had taken massive strides in training after meeting the Bijū, which was one of the 'gifts' Naruto had left for Izuku.

Flashback

It had been a week after that day in the house and his mother was currently working on getting the house Naruto had built legal to live in as well as that part of the woods. Izuku was doing an exercise that Naruto showed him in case he gets stressed or needs to calm down, mediation. It was then that he had accidentally brought himself to his own mindscape, where he stood in front of huge and all powerful animal beings.

"What the hell!" He shouted, jumping up and looking to see himself surrounded by nine of them. "Where am I!? Who are you all!? What the hell is going on!?" The questions came out quick with curiosity, awe, a touch of fear and recognition.

"We are the creatures that are called Bijū, in other names, Tailed Beasts. We are demon spirits that were once part of Naruro but in his final moment transferred us to you with his own personal sealing jutsu." The one to speak was a giant fox with nine tails, red fur and black eyes. "You look like the pancakes he made us when I was a kid."

"Ahahahaha! That's because we are" said a tall one tail tan sand looking… dog?...raccoon? Raccoon dog?

"Wait, what do you mean he transferred you all to me!?"

"Before he left us, Naruto trusted us with you, kitten. Naruto wanted to stand by you and Inko-chan, but since he knew it was too late, he told us something. Nya!" A blue black fire cat said before glancing back at the nine tailed fox.

"He told us in his last few seconds of life to teach you how to become the greatest hero and to show you how to survive in case another one of these Ōtsutsuki people come again. He entrusted you with everything, even us, as we were prepared to die alongside him. So in his honor and memory, we shall make his son the strongest hero the world has ever seen." The fox said, determined not to let down his best and longest friend.

Izuku listened to every word the huge beasts said, knowing what he must do. "Naruto...he was the best dad I could have hoped to have. He believed in me through everything and left me with you all and everything in the basement, and if he left you nine to me, then I'll train harder than ever before. While I may become a hero, I'm the son of a Shinobi, and I'll do everything in my power plus more to hold up to his honor! I promise on my very life! I'm not gonna run away and I never go back on my word, that is my nindo!"

All nine tail beasts smiled at the young boy, already glad to teach him. "There's no backing out now kid, we'll run you into the ground! Ore!" Said a large four tailed monkey ape creature.

"Where are our manners? We still have to introduce ourselves. Why don't we start with the youngest of us here, Shikaku." Said a huge seven tailed bug.

"What!? Why do I have to go first!?" The now identified sand creature said, snarling at the giant insect. "Because you're the youngest of us nine."

"That doesn't answer my question! Fine! I am the One Tailed Beast, the Mightiest Tanuki, Ichibi, Master of sand release! But you can call me Shukaku if you want." Shukaku said, ending in a childish pose.

"I am the Two Tails cat, Nibi but you can call me Matatabi. I have control of fire. Nya!" Matatabi said, smiling at Izuku.

"I'm Sanbi, the Three Tailed turtle but you can call me Isobu. I have mastery of water release." Isobu said, wrapping her tails into one.

"I am the mightiest Four Tailed ape, Yonbi! But you may call me Son Goku! I control the hot and boiling lava release!" Son Goku said with her hands in the air, flexing off her muscles.

"My name is Gobi, the Five Tailed horse dolphin, but you can call me Kokuō. I have the boil release." Kokuō bowed, showing that she respected him as an equal.

"I am Rokubi the Six Tails slug, but you may call me Saiken. I also use bubble release and water release," Saiken said in a bubbly tone.

"Nanabi the Seven Tail Kabutomushi also known as Shichibi. You may call me Chōmei tho. I don't specialize in elemental affinities, instead, I specialize in insects." Chōmei said with a buzz in her voice.

"Yo! My name is Hachibi, it's nice to be ya! I'm the Eight Tailed Octo-bull ox, but you can call me Gyūki! I work with taijutsu and all, yeah!" Everyone sweatdropped at Gyūki's horrible rapping.

"I am the Nine Tailed Kitsune, Kyūbi, also called Kurama. I'm the oldest in age and the one who has known your father, Naruto, since the very beginning. I work with fire and wind release, as well as others." Kurama said, swinging his tails back and forth.

"You all know but let me introduce myself again. I'm Midoriya Izuku, son of Uzumaki Naruto and Midoriya Inko, and I'm ready for anything you'll throw at me!"

Flashback

Finishing after thirty minutes, Izuku went into doing some stretches before doing his full body workout. By the time he finished it would be six, giving him enough time to do one more set of stretches before heading in and showering. Exiting the shower, Izuki saw his mother in the kitchen. Inko would get up at six every morning and would make breakfast, and would watch her son leave at seven since school started at eight-thirty.

"Remember, you can't show anything to other people. A shinobi…"

"...Must always keep their abilities and power hidden. I know Kurama-sensei. Don't worry, I haven't done anything to be suspected of anything, I even put up a genjutsu over me every morning." It was when Izuku was in the fifth grade, Naruto had told him that a hero must be able to conceal their power and place a genjutsu over him. After Naruto passed, Izuku had to learn how to channel the amount of chakra for the genjutsu to work, glad the Tailed Beasts were with him.

"You are all now in your third and last year of Jr.high and need to start thinking about your future… but who am I kidding! You all want to go to the hero course!" The teacher said, throwing the sheets of paper in the air. Everyone started to flash their quirks, cheering loudly.

'Three...two...one…'

"Don't lump me in with these losers, sensei!" A spiky ash-blonde hair boy with red eyes and pale skin said, his feet on his desk. "Unlike me, you all have crappy quirks." A smug and confident smile etched it's way across his face.

'Bakugo Katsuki, always with an overconfident attitude. How much do you bet he'll say something about getting into U.A., becoming the richest and beating All Might?'

'Nice try, kitten, but we don't take losing bets.' Matatabi said, chuckling. 'Hey, it was worth a shot' he thought back, smirking.

As if on cue, "I aced the mock test as well as the practical! I'm the only one worthy of getting into U.A. in this dump of a school! I'll even beat All Might and become one of the richest in the world! Hahaha-" and then the teacher had to speak. "You're also going for U.A, aren't you, Uzumaki?"

Silence echoed through the classroom before everyone burst into laughter, insulting how he didn't have a quirk and that he was only brains. While they weren't technically wrong since he didn't have a quirk, he was glad he had everyone fooled.

"Deku!" Bakugo shouted, blasting his quirk on Izuku's desk and sending him to the ground. "Forget about their crappy quirks, you're totally and utterly useless! You think you can stand as equals with me?!"

"O-o-of cou-course not! It just...been my dream since forever...and it...wouldn't hurt to try…" Izuku stuttered, seeing the teacher talk on his phone, ignoring what was happening.

"Try! You want to try! The entrance exam! What can you even do!" He said, the others looming behind the boy. Just then the school bell rang, signaling the start of school.

It was four o'clock and school just got out. Izuku was making his way towards the koi pond to fish out his notebook that the ash-blonde boy had thrown out the window. "Sometimes I wished that I could beat the shit out of Bakugo!" Izuku said out loud, as he was crossing under a bridge.

'Then do it! We can beat the shit out of him right now! Let's get him!' Shukaku said, her eyes ready for a fight.

'Don't even think about it you crazy sandcoon, even if it's tempting, we don't want to get- somethings coming this way!' Isobu said, sensing the negative energy coming towards their host at a fast speed.

Izuku was just fast enough to jump out of the way, dodging what looked like a mess of slime. "You were able to dodge that, you'll be perfect.", the monster slime said, lunging at Izuku.

"What type of quirk do you have, it kinda resembles a slime mutant." He said, dodging the mutant slime villain with ease.

"Why don't you stand still, before he shows-" but before he could finish, a sewer lid popped in the air and a man with blonde hair came out of it with two bags in his hands. "Fear Not, Citizen. Why? For I Am Here!" Izuku's eyes widened, seeing the number one hero stand in front of him but then his eyes moved to the left of his stomach area.

He barely even heard what the number one hero had said, before he instinctively channeled chakra to his feet. Just in time to as not a second later a massive wind pressure shot through the spot Izuku and the slime villain were in.

"Let's not get a direct hit by that please!"

"No shit, Yonbi!"

"I was being sarcastic Rokubi!"

Anyways, Izuku opened his eyes to see the slime villain scattered across the ground in small lumps. "Fear Not Citizen, I Made Sure To Leave Him In Relatively Good Pieces!" He said laughing at what he thought was a funny joke.

"Thanks All Might, you really saved me there." He said bowing before the number one hero, then reaching for his notebook. "Can you please sign this!"

All Might was for once grateful for being talked to like a normal person, especially since when people saw him they entered 'Fan Mode.' "It's No Problem,..."

"Izuku, Uzumaki Izuku." All Might could hear the proudness when he spoke his name, but shocked it off. "It's No Problem Young Uzumaki!" Grabbing the book and opening it to a blank two pager, he signed his name and handed it back. "Here You Go! Now I Must Be Off! Duty Calls!"

Crunching down and getting ready to jump, All Might was stopped when Izuku asked him an unexpected question. "You're injured, you know that?" The hero slowly turned around to look at the young boy in bewilderment, not sure how he knew about his injured side. Seeing All Might stop and look at him, Izuku continued. "I didn't mean to be rude but I could sense the pain flowing from your left side." It was true, he was in constant pain and while it was little he knew it would only grow with time, and time was not on his side. Making sure the villain was still in his temporary bottle imprisonment, he focused his full attention on the boy.

Taking a gamble, he slowly lifted his white shirt to show him his purple injury. Izuku stared in horror at what looked like someone vacuumed where his lung was supposed to be and tried to stitch it back up, in other words, it was a gruesome sight. "My left lung and part of my stomach were destroyed and had to be removed, what you see is the effect of surgeries and its side-effects…" and in a puff of smoke, where All Might stood was a man with sickly blonde hair and as thin as a toothpick "... and this is my true form." He knew it was a long shot, but something about this kid made it so easy to talk to.

Izuku walked up to take a closer look, raising his green glowing hand over the wound. All Might was about to pull away when he felt the stinging pain slowly disparate from his side, and watched him wave his glowing hand an inch away from contact. "That should help loosen the pain for a little bit, but I do suggest you take it easy. If I had more time and experience I could have regrown the lung and the rest of your stomach." The last part was more of a mumble and he hadn't meant for him to hear but he did.

"You can regrow organs?!" He didn't mean to shout it, but was surprised by what he had suggested. The greennette looked at him and shrugged his shoulders. "I can't, not yet at least. I can do basic Iryō nin- I mean I can do some basic medical techniques, but I'm still learning. It'll take me at least some more practice and more reading, but ya." The way he said it, it was as if he had seen it before, not at all surprised by how calm he himself made it out to be. All Might didn't know what to say, not even knowing a quirk could do what the young boy in front of him was saying.

"How long would it take, and if so, I would like to ask for you to help me!" He said, basically pleading to him. Finally, after so long, he had hope of regaining his former strength and being able to hold on to his dream. Izuku took a thinking pose, having a talk with Kurama, who was now making adjustments to training plans. "It'll take us at least a few months till I have enough experience, but I won't be able to do this for free. Even if you are the number one hero."

All Might had figured as much, and he could tell he was honest and trustworthy, even if it was more of a gut feeling. "I'll pay anything you need, as long as it doesn't go against the law!" He was a hero, and would rather not have his lung and stomach fixed if it meant going against the ideals he had. Izuku chuckled, but nodded nonetheless. "I understand, and don't worry it's not money I want. I just need someone to spar against, that's all."

He wanted to spar in exchange for fixing his body up, it made no sense, not in the slightest. "You just want to fight!?" Izuku could only laugh at his confused face. "I need a sparring partner, someone to practice with. Do this and I'll heal you right up. What do you say?" He said, holding his hand out for All Might to shake.

All Might looked into his eyes, his green emerald eyes, only to see the honesty and confidence in them. The hero would have thought he would have asked him to get him a recommendation or money, sparing was not on the list he thought. Letting out a small laugh, he grabbed the boy's hands and shook. "You got yourself a deal, Uzumaki-san!"

"Call me Izuku, I'm not one for formality."

"Then you can call me Toshinori!"

It was then that Izuku noticed something seemed off, and looked around the area to see what it was. He looked down at where the sludge person was, only to see no bottle. All Might also looked where he was staring and was surprised to see his capture gone.

Not a second later, an explosion was heard drawing their attention to the sky to see black smoke. Quickly transforming into his hero mode, All Might quickly dashed off, Izuku behind him. They quickly arrived to see a crowd of people at a one lane street, along with some pros dealing with the fire and holding the people back. All Might was about to rush in when he felt Izuku hold his arm back. "If you go in now, I won't be able to hold off the pain and you can worsen your injury. I'll distract it and then you jump in when you get a chance, then do one quick move and end it as fast as possible!"

He gave him no time to say anything back as he rushed forward, pushing through the crowd and passing the pro hero's. All Might could see him throw his backpack and he saw his chance. Quickly jumping in and grabbing both of the boys hands, he shouted "Detroit...SMASH!" The effect was instantaneous, the sludge villain was blown to pieces again and everyone was speechless to see a sunshower before it stopped. Izuku had gotten scolded by the pros while the victim, Bakugo Katsuki, was praised by his strong quirk and will to hold on so long.

It took twenty minutes for Izuku to leave, and escaped when no one was looking at him, and was soon joined by Toshinori five minutes later. "We can meet at Takoba Municipal Beach Park, since no one really goes there anymore."

"Is there a reason that no one goes to that beach?"

"Because of all the illegal dumping, that it's basically a landfill now." Izuku said to stop all of a sudden. "That's also not the only reason why. When I was a kid, I used to play with my parents all the time there." The older man could see him stare at the ring on his finger, knowing there's a deeper reasoning to why he wanted to go to that beach. "We can meet up at five in the morning, so that no one sees us. Now I gotta go, my mom is probably waiting for me."

All Might stared at him as he ran up ahead, when he jumped as his phone started to vibrate in his pocket. "Ya, I know I was supposed to meet you but I had a run in with an interesting person… Don't worry, just have him ready to come to Takoba Municipal Beach Park tomorrow at five… Yes...Ok, Bye." Putting his phone back in his pocket, Yagi Toshinori started to make his way back to his apartment, excited for upcoming days. 'He would have made an excellent successor, but the world needs someone soon. Maybe they can learn together...wait, doesn't he have a healing quirk, so why does he want to spar?' Shaking his head of his thoughts, Toshinori knew he would find the answer soon.

Midoriya was currently down in the study room, which was once called the basement, and was surrounded by all different types of medical books on anatomy and notes of Iryō ninjutsu. 'With the amount of control I have, it'll take me at least a few months to get the hang of even one of these techniques.'

"Why did you even suggest helping him?" Kurama said, annoyed now they had to help this hero. 'Because dad would have done the exact same thing. He wouldn't let anyone with an injury like that, to suffer!' Izuki countered back, not taking his eyes off the books.

"Why don't you do Saibō no Kasseijutsu, it'll have less of a drawback then some of the others." Matatabi suggested.

'That's what I thought too, but I don't have enough chakra to do it, and I can't use yalls chakra either.' Izuku still couldn't remember all that had happened when he first tried to use Bijū chakra only knowing that part of the forest still remains destroyed to this day.

"Then you best be putting in extra work in your chakra control training, which gives me an excellent idea on one!" Izuku paled at hearing Kurama laugh maniacally, having heard him do this many times when he was training. 'Why do I have a bad feeling about this?'

That's it, how did everyone like it? Was it good? Bad? Work in progress? Doesn't matter because it's done. It has been awhile since I last updated but things have been hectic with family, watching and reading Academia, writing some others I'm planning to publish soon.

I've been working on some other stories that are coming along and I had to do some research. A few of them are Academia and some are Naruto straights and crossovers. So by the time this gets posted I should be posting another story soon.

I don't like to announce anything at the beginning since I want my readers to focus on the story, but I will be announcing some here and there but nothing too big or long.
