The days went by and everything seemed that things would start to be normal again. The various power shifts in each group or species was basically over. Although there were still rumblings of people who still wanted Hiccup's spot no one had stepped up against him. People had started or had found jobs that they liked. Things overall began to work themselves out. Unfortunately Hiccup couldn't find the same piece as everyone else. In the back of his mind he knew that something was going to happen and couldn't shake the idea that things might just work out.

He sat on top the mountain, looking out over the endless ocean while building some boxes with supplies that a few different scouting parties brought him. Everyone once and awhile something would catch his eye and everytime it happened he'd watch. A black dragon would pop out from the smoke and flurrish his wings. Hiccup knew that Toothless knew he was watching. Hiccup finished his box and began to gather what he needed for another. While doing so he found himself no longer alone. The old Nightmare had joined him. He sat where next to where Hiccup had been, waiting for the human to return to his position. As he did he dropping his supplies in front of where he's been sitting.

"You've been around a lot lately." Hiccup said while digging through the wood and nails for the piece he wanted. "You trying to learn my weaknesses so that you can take my position?" He joked.

"No, no, nothing like that. Besides I'm one of the ones who is firmly on your side. You've proven enough to me."

"So then you've just come up here to? What? Check up on me?" The Nightmare laughed.

"That does seem to be my job doesn't it? Nobody complains that I don't do anything like fish or hunt."

"That's probably because they take one look at you and are too afraid to say anything. And I'm sure some complain. But I'm also sure that the others who know you, and know your stories tell them about you and it shuts em' right up." Hiccup laughed.

"So then you know my stories then?"

"I've done my fair share of listening." Hiccup admitted.

"That's good. Well anyway I didn't come up here to do my job. I came up here to ask you something." Hiccup stopped what he was doing to look at the Nightmare.

"Oh? Like what?"

"Well I've noticed something and while I want to say that it doesn't bother me, it has gotten under my scales."

"What's that?" Hiccup wondered. He hoped that nagging voice in his head wasn't right.

"I noticed that the people who interact with you the most tend to get a name. And yet I haven't. I was just wondering if I did something that would warrant me not getting one." They both watched as Toothless made another pass.

"To be honest I never really thought about it. But you're right the others did get names but they tend to be because of something about them. Dusty's, brown, Color can change colors. Toothless got his name because of that weird thing that Night Furies can do with their teeth. And you're not going to like this but I just gave names to the Sea Shockers that lead our fishing groups."

"Those two idiots got names?"

"Yep, Black, and Blue."

"Because they're always beating up each other. Funny."

So for you it just hasn't come to me yet. All the names are on the spot decisions normally about their appearance. And I could come up with something right now, but it wouldn't be personal, it wouldn't say something about you. Plus you're a little harder than the others. I don't want to be mean but you look very similar to other Nighmares. So something like Red, or Scars, isn't very noteworthy when I could say that to almost any of the Nightmares here. But thank you for caring." Hiccup smiled deviously.

"I'm going to be stuck with that aren't I?"

"It wouldn't have happened if you didn't say anything."

"Gods damn you Hiccup."

"Pshh, it's too late for that." Hiccup chuckled.

"I suppose I'll be leaving now." Care sighed. He began to walk back towards where he'd come from.

"Alright." Hiccup waved. "See you around… Care." The Old Nightmare groaned and grumbled to himself as he slipping into their home. Hiccup continued to build his boxes and watch Toothless. At the end of the day Hiccup had a nice stack of them ready for use. As he finished his last one Toothless landed next to him.

"These are looking good." The dragon complimented Hiccup's craftsmanship. "What do you plan to use them for?"

"Well I plan on using these to grow stuff in. Since it's so warm here all year around, I'll be able to grow things all the time. It'll be nice to have something that isn't just meat or fish. I'm sure some of the others would be interested as well, just for the variety. Plus I need more than just meat. Unlike you, I can actually still get sick."

"Okay, what do you want to do with them right now? Or are planning on filling them and stuff today? Cause I'm ready to bring you to Berk."

"You sure?" Hiccup hesitated.

"Yeah I'm sure. To be honest with you I'm feeling really good right now. Better than before even." Toothless smiled.

"I'm happy to hear that Toothless." Hiccup smiled back. "Let's head inside. I want to get some things ready before we leave." Hiccup turned to start back inside when Toothless Nipped at his shoulder. "Ow. Toothless what was that." He turned back around to find Toothless' lips mashed against his own. Toothless continued to push forward until Hiccup fell back, ultimately ending the kiss. Toothless knelt down over his human, licking his shoulder and neck.

"If were not running for our lives after we leave that place, I think we should spend some time alone before coming back." Toothless whispered. His hot breath making Hiccup blush. He pulled back to look at Hiccup's face. Hiccup chuckled and grabbed the dragon's head and pulled him into another short kiss.

"When I said that I was going to be getting some things ready, I wasn't talking about bringing supplies." He whispered back. He crawled out from under his dragon and again turned to go inside. Toothless sat and watched as Hiccup stood up and was contempt to watch him walk away until Hiccup slapped him in the face with his tail.

Toothless jumped up and started chasing Hiccup. The two ran around for a little until Hiccup found a time to slip into through the hole he'd used to get there in the first place. Toothless darted right after him. Hiccup stood on the other side thinking that there was no way that Toothless could get through there and he'd have to go around.

Hiccup yelped as Toothless barreled into him, sending them tumbling across the shelf. The entire mountain could hear them laughing.
