"I'll preface this by telling you that I've already agreed to an alliance." Stock admitted. "But Hiccup knows we could pull out at any time. He wants us to be friends and for both us and them to trust each other. He knows there's a lot of deep rooted hate for dragons in us. But it's the same for them. Only the gods know how many we've taken from each other. Though Hiccup has assured me that even those who've lost the most are still willing to put the past behind us."

"How can we trust what they say Stoick? They could be trying to get close to attack without us being able to defend ourselves?" One asked.

"Because of Hiccup. While I can't say for certain, it seems as though whoever is leading their flock has all the say on things like this. If Hiccup, and Toothless say we're friends, then we're friends. Plain and simple. And while you may not have noticed there are a number of dragons that Hiccup obviously has trust in. Other than his Night Fury, there's that Change Wing, and huge brown Nadder. That torn up, old looking Nightmare as well. Even this big behemoth under me. Along with many others. He's very well informed on everything his people are thinking. That's why we can trust what he says. If there was an issue he'd tell us." Stoick affirmed.

"If you bring dragons to Berk there's going to be a lot of anger. What will you do if one of them gets attacked? Killed?"

"Find and punish who did it. While it's hard to believe these things are just as smart as us. They're people. Just cause they look different, and act different doesn't make them any less valuable as a person. If one of you were killed, you'd want who did it punished. Wouldn't you?"

"Stoick you have to be careful with this. While I think we're mostly in agreement that this isn't what we expected and there's merit to wanting to combine ours with theirs, but people are going to call for your head. And it'll assuredly get out to the other villages. There's no way it won't, then what? I'm going to guess that peace talks are going to be even more hostile after that gets out. Or they'll want to be taught how to train these beasts. And they won't have someone like Hiccup to help smooth things over in case something does happen.

Like what if a rogue group of them attack a village for food during the freeze. Ours didn't do it but we're the only ones with these things. We could say it wasn't us all we want but they aren't going to believe that. How do you deal with something like that?

Cause I, personally, see the value of having them. This place really is a testament to just how well these people." The man speaking emphasized. "Can get organized. Work as a unit. Like any other village. And from what we've seen and know now, they aren't evil by nature. But are people on Berk ready to hear that? There are a lot of open wounds still, and a lot of those won't ever close.

I'll back you Stoick, but you'll have to be ready to face all the hell that comes with what you decide. But I doubt Hiccup would be angry if you turned down his offer to ally. So it would really just be the hell that Berk gives you."

"And the rest of you?" Stoick asked.

Each of them looked at another. Back and forth, silently communicating on what to do. What to decide. They'd seen a lot, experienced a lot, and in just a short time learned that their biggest enemy. One that had been there since the day they were born, was not the evil they thought they were. Simply led by a monster unfathomable to them. As it seemed many things were in the world they lived in. Even as they sat there, a monster so immense that its size alone would put fear into your heart. Much less it's breath that would freeze you on the spot. On top of all the others following it. Dangerous in their own rights. But with Hiccup leading them it seemed an impossible task became much more likely.

Though their time to think was cut short as nearly the entire flock barreled towards them. Being led by none other than Hiccup and Toothless. The group braced themselves for a collision but last second Toothless plunged down, and back up around them. The signature whistling loud in their ears. The dragons underneath them had had enough of sitting around and quickly joined their friends. Their riders having to hold tight or risk falling off. None of them knew what was happening or where they were going. All they knew was that they were following Toothless as best they could, which wasn't very well. The Night Fury's whistling could get quieter than louder, and quiet again.

Stoick was the first to break from the pack as everyone leveled out. And was the first to realize just how high up they'd gone, and first to realize he was unable to take full breaths. It was like someone was trying to strangle him, but no matter how much he fought and gasped he wasn't getting any air. He was stuck between conscious and unconscious. Sucking in air but not feeling it was enough to help. Skull crusher had circled around a bit, which allowed stoick to see Hiccup standing on Toothless again. He could hear him saying something but couldn't focus enough to listen.

He then watched as his son fell back off of his mount and rapidly started plummeting towards the sea. Then he watched as all the others went limp and started falling freely themselves. He was lucky Skull Crusher hadn't done the same. But he watched as thousands of dragons fell with no form. He wondered what it was like to fall like that. He'd remember some falls he'd taken, and the weightlessness to them. But he was always in a panic when it happened. Always having to brace for the landing.

There was a beauty to it that he hadn't expected. Their bodies just letting the air twist and turn them as it pleased. None of them worried about just how close the others were to them. The only one who had to do any real flying was Toothless, who had to catch up to Hiccup. But when he looked down he saw them simply floating next to each other, like the sea wasn't mere seconds from them.
