The group's night finished quietly as did many nights to come. The dragons disappearing making Hiccup continuously more worried. Not even Color had returned. And now something was on the horizon.

"Sirs." A long distance scout called to his alphas.

"Yeah?" Hiccup asked

"Ships from the direction of Berk have been spotted heading this way."

"Do we know they're from Berk?"

"The original spotter believed they recognized the uh, thing, the, you know. When you do the thing with the thin stuff and the charcoal?"

"Oh, drawing?" Hiccup asked.

"I guess so. I didn't know. But they said there were a bunch of them all headed this way."

"Ok, ok." Hiccup soothed the information runner. "How long until they're here? Do we know that?"

"The scout didn't say how long but with how far we were, it would have to be a day or more." The runner guessed.

"Alright then, would you begin to inform species leaders and have them begin to take in and count their numbers. I want everyone inside. Afterwards find the other runners here and have them fly out and inform the scouts to stay out of sight of the ships. I don't want anyone getting too close and getting hurt. After you told the runners you may rest."

"Yes sir, I will sir, thank you sir." the runner scrambled off.

"Toothless, would you go round my dad and the other runs up and meet me up top?" Toothless straightened himself up and puffed his chest out.

"Yes sir, I will sir." The dragon broke character before running off laughing to himself. Hiccup sighed and made his way to the top of his mountain. Monocular in hand Hiccup looked out towards Berk to see if he could spot the ships in question.

Meanwhile, Toothless went down to the forge to find Gobber and Stoick. Hiccup had tasked Gobber with making weapons and armour for the humans and help design saddles and armour for the dragons. Stoick and the other humans had taken a portion of the space to act as a base of operations. Where they tried to figure out ways to help them integrate and use Hiccup's notes to learn more about each species.

Toothless found both Stoick and Hiccup taking a break. As he walked up to them Stoick was the first to notice.

"Uh no." Stoick sighed. "If you're here and Hiccup isn't." He tried to look behind the dragon to see if Hiccup was behind him. "It either means he needs us or you're hiding from him. Which is it?" Stoick asked. Toothless motioned to the door. "Both of us?" Toothless nodded. "The others?" Toothless did his best to display indifference. "Alright then. Wake that big lug you found up, Gobber. We're needed."

"'E's got a name you know." Gobber defended.

"Yeah, 'Lazy'." Stoick laughed.

"No? Well, close enough." Gobber cautiously kneeled in front of the Hotburble. Trying to make sure it didn't eat his hook again. "Oi." He slowly placed his hand on the dragon's snout. The dragon in question slowly opened its eyes. "We've got somewhere to be." He said to the dragon who promptly closed his eyes again. "Come on now Grump, we've got to go." He bonked the Hotburble on the head. The lazy dragon sighed and shook himself awake. "Thank you. Now let's go." Gobber walked out of the room followed by his dragon.

"Aye, got that thing up and moving, good job."

"Still getting used to it." Gobber walked to the side of Grump and climbed on to his back. "This part still makes me nervous."

"Just got to find your sea legs." Stoick mounted up on Skullcrusher. "Alright then beast, lead the way." Toothless took off and Skullcrusher followed. With Grump a good bit behind. The group landed and met with Hiccup, who already had an audience of other dragons. As they approached a few of the dragons spotted Stoick and Gobber and blocked them off. "Out of my way, devil. Hiccup wishes to see me." Stoick ordered. The dragons yielded but huffed at the pair of humans as they passed by.

"Stoick what's going on?" Gobber asked. So far from his experience the dragons had been nice and compliant to him but how these were acting was putting him on edge. Suddenly the other humans had surfaced with the same issues. All the dragons were beginning to act hostile to them. Outside of their own mounts.

"I don't know. Something must have happened." Stoick turned to the humans. "Have any of you done something to piss them off? Even on accident?" The group shook their heads.

"Nothing out of the ordinary." One said, and the others agreed. Stoick huffed.

"Alright then, we'll just have to see what Hiccup says then." The group of humans pushed through to the center where they saw Hiccup getting roared and snarled at by a Gronkle. Stoick ignored the Gronkle and interrupted. "What is going on?" Stoick moved forward. "The dragons look like they're about to attack us."

"Dad, have you had any contact with Berk? Have you sent a note back or anything like that?"

"No? The only contact we've made with Berk is when those few went home and we grabbed Gobber. Why what's going on?" Stoick was confused.

"Earlier I got a report from my scouts that ships from Berk are headed this way. And since then I've had confirmation that five ships from Berk are headed this way." Hiccup crossed his arms. Stoick straightened his belt and put on a serious face.

"Can we see them here yet?" He took the monocular from Hiccup and peered through it. He scanned for the ships on the horizon.

"Not yet. Scouts say about a day out." Hiccup informed. Stoick collapsed the monocular and turned around.

"Have any of you sent letters, notes or anything else to Berk?" His voice was stern and commanding. A chorus of no's echoed back to him. "Hiccup, tell your dragons to back off. No one from here has had any contact with Berk. We don't even have any way to send a letter back anyway."

"Listen up." Hiccup shouted. It seemed as though the entire mountain had listened. Dead silence outside of the wind and rustling feet and tails. "These humans are not our enemy. None of them have anything to do with the ships coming for us. These people are our friends, our allies and you are not to treat them any differently than you already have. The humans who are here are here because they want to help. Want to see our alliance succeed.

Now leave us. And I'll inform all of you what is going to happen in regards to the ships when we've made a plan."

The audience of dragons began to file out and the handful of those who acted hostile to Stoick and the others bowed to them as an apology. Stoick took one of the bowing dragon's heads into his hands and gave them a good scratching.

"It's good to be skeptical." Stock told them, knowing full well that they didn't understand him.
