This chapter was edited in 30/06/23: I always hated how this chapter turned out, I always felt like it was missing something. I don't believe the changes themselves change the plot in a way that'll confuse any longtime readers.

Today was the day, his arm had finally healed and the doctors signed off on his departure from the facility. Floch was bubbling with barely hidden excitement, so much so that he had trouble sleeping last night. He was puzzled to find none of the scouts around when he woke up, thinking nothing of it, he gathered his belongings and donned his cadet uniform.

Floch reached below his bed and pulled out two wrapped packages he had 'borrowed', placing each one underneath Oluo and Henning's pillows respectively before attaching a note next to one of them. with that done, he made his way to the reception desk to meet his camp's physician and be on his way.

"Hey, there he is! Congrats, kid!"

Floch was briefly stunned by the small crowd of scouts as he turned around the corner, all waiting for him at the entrance. He walked up to them, puzzled by what was going on.

Henning chuckled. "Look at him, what? You thought you could sneak away without a word?" Henning spoke first as he wrapped an arm around the boy. "I would give you parting gifts, but you took almost everything I own at those poker games." He sorely commented.

"Glad you're better, kid!" Nifa spoke, lightly punching his right shoulder.

"Thanks." He muttered back.

"Hah! Look at him, he's all red in the face!" Henning laughed, squeezing him tightly.

"Good riddance, It was starting to get cramped in that room," Oluo spoke with a haughty tone.

Petra fixed him with a stern gaze. "Why are you so pathetic?"

"What? I haven't said anything wrong."

"At least you cared enough to see me off." Floch remarked.

Oluo's cheeks were tinged red with embarassment, Floch chuckled at the absurdity of the situation as the rest of the scouts couldn't help but laugh at Oluo's expense. After a few more words, the group bid their farewell to the boy as he walked outside to be greeted with a carriage, he carefully climbed the back, reminding himself not to put too much strain on his arm. It looked like it would be a lonely journey back, not that he minded.

"Wait!" A voice suddenly shouted.

Floch and the driver of the carriage looked back to see Oluo rushing out with his crutches, Floch furrowed his brows at the sight. "I gotta say something!" Oluo said.

"Then make it snappy back there!" The man yelled back, getting a few looks from the bystanders.

"Listen, I gave you a lotta shit but I wanted to apologize." Oluo spoke genuinely, devoid of his usual antics.

"You didn't have to," Floch replied, somewhat confused.

"I'm not gonna beat around the bush, I heard what you told Petra a while back. While I should be kicking your ass for encouraging her to stay here, she got into a much better mood recently and It's helped the rest of us. This life really gets to you, you know? For what It's worth, I wanted to thank you." Oluo explained, he scratched the back of his head and looked off to the side with an indecipherable emotion.

Oluo looked back at Floch and bid his farewell. "That's all, train hard kid. Titans are no joke, look how they got us. Goodluck brat."

With that said, Oluo tapped against the carriage with his crutch. Floch didn't get to say as much as a goodbye, as it sped away.

By the time Oluo had made his way back to his room, it was nearly dark outside, he walked in and found everyone inside. Rashad and Nifa were playing cards by the table, Petra was sitting by the windowsill with a book in hand and Henning was sitting on his bed inspecting a bottle-shaped package. Oluo felt intrigued by the sight.

"Hey I just found this under my pillow... hold on there's a note attached... 'To cover for your loss', did the kid leave this here?" He read the note out loud and asked.

Everyone's attention was now on Henning as he tore away the packaging to reveal a bottle of alcohol, Henning felt awe-struck at the sight. He turned around and showcased the bottle with tears in his eyes. Nifa froze, suddenly feeling excited.

"He's after my heart, all those years of Gelgar stealing my booze have led to this moment." He choked out, nearly brought to tears.

"Wonder where he got it from?" Nifa asked, gazing at the bottle with thirst in her eyes.

"Stole it from the MP's probably, but whose problem is that really?" Rashad grinned.

"Bah, whatever! Stole it! Bought it! It's ours now!" Henning celebrated loudly.

"You better leave some for the rest of us," Oluo demanded as he lay on his bed only to feel something press against his head.

"Huh?"

He sat up and removed his pillows only to find another bottle-shaped package, his eyes widened as Henning laughed harder. Oluo couldn't help but grin at the gift, He tossed the bottle to Henning before sinking deep into his bed.

"The more the merrier! That's it! That kid's joining squad Mike when he graduates!" Henning proclaimed, hugging the two bottles to his chest;

Oluo perked up. "And who gave you the right to decide? Squad Levi is better! And stop hugging those bottles, they'll get warm!"

"Pfft! Don't make me laugh! Who was it that caught your corporal again? Oh right! Us!" Henning pointed to his chest with a hearty laugh.

Nifa interjected, snatching a bottle from Henning. "He'll be more useful under the section commander."

"Stay out of this!" They both shouted.

"I'm an honest man, it's better than acting all tough when you're scared shitless." Jean Kirstein 850 AD.

It was an uninteresting evening for one Eren Yeager, as were the last few weeks. The training mission in Trost had been the highlight of the last few weeks, but that wasn't saying much. He had been bummed to learn that extensive urban training doesn't begin until their third year at the camp. A pity, since he began to grow tired of the monotony of military life. However, that was merely a small sacrifice he had to make in the grand scheme of things.

There he was now, sitting at a table in the mess hall, palm pressed against his chin and elbow propped on the table, bored and aimless for the time being. His other hand was preoccupied with poking the food with his spoon, he didn't even feel hungry enough to eat the military-grade slop they pass off as food.

"Eren, you have to eat before your food gets cold."

Eren spared the girl to his right a single glance, feeling his irritation rise. He loved Mikasa, he truly did. The only other living person in this entire world he loved as much was Armin, but for the life of him she just never seemed to get the right idea. No matter how much he tried, she kept on babying him relentlessly. For some time after the breach of Maria it was tolerable, but as the days went on it grew to become a habit of hers that he utterly detested.

"You're not my mother Mikasa, just drop it already." He scowled, slamming his fist against the table lightly.

The suddenness of his actions startled the cadets next to him, as Armin, Sasha, Mina, Mylius, and Nack sent him questioning looks.

"No, you have to eat." She replied unflinchingly, her face stoic as ever.

"Eren, you can't expect to get stronger on an empty stomach, we have a long day ahead of us tomorrow," Armin interjected, reasoning with the green-eyed boy.

Eren finally gave in. "Tsk. Fine, whatever."

Jean looked on from another table nearby with a visible scowl on his face, he envied how caring Mikasa was towards Eren. And more so angry at Eren for being so ungrateful for such a blessing. Jean found that he quite disliked Eren, everything from the foolishness which left his mouth to his beliefs and manners have made him distasteful of Yeager.

"Eat up Eren, wouldn't wanna stay a short scrawny little boy forever would you?" He jeered.

"It says a lot more about you if these scrawny legs knocked your ass down to the floor Jean." Eren fired back nonchalantly.

"He's got you there." Reiner chuckled on the other side of Jean's table.

Jean was taken aback by the insult as everyone around him laughed at his expense, He was seconds from standing up to beat the kid to a pulp before a hand grabbed him halfway through. Jean looked down to see Marco holding him, he tried to yank his arm away to no avail.

"Let go! Marco!"

"Sit down, Jean. Let's not get a repeat of last time." He told him

Jean stilled in disbelief. "You've got to be kidding me, you too?!" He hissed at him accusingly.

"I meant instructor Shadis! Honest!" Marco held up both arms in the air in defense.

Jean groaned as he sat back down. "Damn him."

"But why? I think Eren is quite the upstanding guy if you get to know him well." Marco inquired.

Jean contemplated for a second, going dead in the eyes at that memory. "My reasonings are beyond your understanding, his mere existence is a blight to human decency."

The freckled boy looked puzzled, turning to Reiner for help. "What?"

"I'm not so sure either," Reiner replied.

Mikasa and Armin looked rather pleased that Eren didn't fight Jean this time around as the boy began stuffing his face with food, Mikasa hummed to herself contently before focusing on her dinner. Armin sighed and gave a small smile at the sight before resuming his discussion with the others.

"Jeez, what crawled up Yeager's ass, Nack?" Gordon leaned in from another table and whispered to the boy, nudging him with his elbow.

"Cut that shit off, it tickles," Nack growled.

"What crawled up yours?" Gordon asked with a raised brow.

A hand reached out from behind Gordon and pulled harshly on his ear, Gordon cried out in pain as Sandra pulled him back to their table. The boy rubbed his sore ear and looked back at the girl, as Franz, Hanna, Ruth, and Tom snickered. "Ouch, what the hell Sandra?!" Gordon whined.

Sandra replied. "You know the rules, idiotic behavior is not tolerated."

"I was just asking a damned question, woman!" He exclaimed incredulously.

"Irrelevant, eat your food and stop being a moron." She said with finality.

"You never do this stuff to Floch." He grumbled as he ate.

"That just says more about you, Gordon." Franz butted in.

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"You know! Floch isn't a wimp for starters." Hannah added with a mischievous grin.

"Oh shut up you two! Don't think I'm not onto you holding hands underneath the table." Gordon grumbled.

The new couple were startled with embarrassment and quickly separated, both of them went red in the face as they stared in opposite directions. Gordon smirked at the sight, enjoying his small victory, and took another bite of food. Ruth who kept on silently watching their interactions smiled to herself, enjoying the company.

"W-we weren't!" Franz stammered.

"Y-Yeah! We just happened to both have our hands on the bench! Don't get any silly ideas!" Hannah quickly followed.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever you say lovebirds." Gordon dismissed.

Sandra sighed, but ultimately cracked a smile at her friends' antics. She was always insecure about meeting new people at bootcamp, however, things turned out better than she expected. Aside from their situation with Floch, she didn't have much trouble with the others. Here they were now, slowly forming a bond, and to think it all started because of that fateful journey down the mountain.

Her mind quickly raced back to Floch, it had been nearly two months since she last saw him. To say she was worried about him was an understatement, all she hoped for was that he made a swift recovery. Air pushed out of her nose as she barely suppressed a dry chuckle, she was in disbelief that she almost lost someone so precious to her like it was nothing. That thought alone made her rethink their future together as friends, Floch wanted to go with the scouts, that much she knew. However, the same couldn't be said for her and Gordon. She wanted to stop him, to convince him to quit his delusions and steer from danger. She had enough sense to know that it would be an exercise in futility, Floch always had an uncompromising heart.

The door of the mess hall opened with an audible creak, the conditioned cadets went deathly silent fully expecting Shadis to barge in and chew their ears out as usual. Fretful eyes were glued to the entrance to look out for the newcomer. Eventually, the door opened all the way, and none other than Floch Forster stepped inside. The redhead found himself greeted with the whispers and murmurs of the 104th cadets.

"Hey! Look who's back!" Connie called out leading Sandra and the rest of her group to snap their heads in Floch's direction.

Floch waved at him as he scanned the room for an empty seat. To which he found one right next to Ruth, He made his way towards the group, feeling annoyed at the number of eyes glued to him. Sandra and Gordon bolted from their seats and rushed towards him, they paused just a few feet away from him as the awkwardness began to settle around them.

'This is much simpler when it's ink and papers.' Floch thought to himself.

"Well... uhh. Hey man! Back stronger than ever eh?" Gordon tried to relieve some of the awkward tension, thankfully, most of the cadets had stopped paying attention.

"You bet, How have you two been holding up?" He replied.

"Quite well, welcome back, Floch." Sandra smiled.

"That's good to hear." He turned to Sandra and gave her a weak smile. "Hello, Sandra."

Floch frowned much to their worry. Amber eyes roamed back and forth between them both. He sighed, pulling the two teens into an unexpected embrace, much to their shock. He held the two flabbergasted cadets tightly, Gordon and Sandra looked at each other questioningly but didn't dare to ruin this moment. Seconds later Floch pulled away, keeping his hands on both of their shoulders.

"Look, I know things between us could have been better the last few months. But I missed you guys a lot, I'm just glad to see you both... and I'm sorry." He confessed.

Gordon chuckled in disbelief. "About time! Us too man! Good to have you back! Well, that wasn't so bad! Let's go sit down!" Gordon suggested as he led the two back to the table.

He was unsure how to proceed with the conversation at first, but Floch eased himself into it after seeing that Sandra and Gordon themselves were both relaxed and easygoing. He found himself deeply missing moments like these as he sat and chatted with his classmates. It was as if he was truly back to his first life, and for the first time in years, he felt like he could enjoy himself again.

"-And that's about it, I know it's probably not as interesting as what you must have gone through out there in Ehrmich but it's something!" Gordon spoke.

"Sorry, what was that? I didn't catch what you said." Floch replied, snapping out of his stupor.

Gordon stiffened with shock, his shoulders sagged after realizing that he had fallen victim to Floch's short attention span. The others at the table laughed at his expense, as the crestfallen boy wallowed in shame.

"Ruth, how are you coming along in your training?" Floch turned to the redhead to ask her. Ruth straightened up at the attention, feeling slightly nervous at being the focus of the conversation. The rest of the table was curious about the question, unaware of the arrangement the two had made a couple of weeks ago. Including Sandra, who looked at them both curiously.

"W-well, I took things more seriously, and I've reached out for help from various other people." She replied shyly.

"I see, I'll verify that. We'll start tomorrow, prepare yourself because there won't be mercy." Floch told her much to her dismay.

"Y-Yes, sir." She shakily replied, tears threatening to spill.

"Did she just call him sir?" Gordon spoke out.

"Shhhh, He's never been this chatty before, don't ruin this." Hannah hissed from across the table, stepping on Gordon's foot.

"Ow! Son of a-!" Gordon cried out. "Control your girlfriend man!"

The two teens went red in the face again as they looked away from everyone and fidgeted in their seats, Floch was quick to notice someone coming up behind him. "Well, well, Are you seeing this Krista? All that time away at a hospital and he hasn't recovered from that awful hairstyle." A voice spoke out from behind him.

Floch turned to see Ymir and Historia, He smirked at the brunette and replied. "You know, one more jab at the hair and I'll start to think you secretly love it."

"Tsk. That bird's nest? Hardly." She snorted.

"Hello Floch, It's great to see you've gotten better." Historia smiled kindly.

"Thank you, your maj-, Krista." He awkwardly corrected himself, Ymir raised her brow at this, seemingly the only person to have caught the slip-up.

"Hey, why don't you two join us? This is perfect actually, You'll finally tell us what happened that day!" Tom spoke out, gaining the attention of the cadets around.

"Yeah, no. We were just leav-" Ymir rejected but got cut off halfway through.

Connie's ears perked up. "Oh! Now that I wanna hear! Floch's gonna tell the story!" He exclaimed as he stood up from his seat and walked towards Floch's table, many others followed, Ymir grimaced as the cadets surrounded her and Kirsta preventing them from leaving.

Soon enough all sorts of faces were crowded around the table, whether it was Sasha, Mina, Jean, Marco, or even Reiner and Bertholdt, all of them were now gathered for him specifically. Floch frowned, glancing towards Tom who seemed rather satisfied with himself.

"Come on then, wouldn't wanna disappoint all these people, we've been dying to know how it went down!" Tom grinned, getting some nods and approvals from those around them but not noticing the intense glare Ymir shot at him.

"I heard you guys fought a giant forest monster!"

"Forest monster? Anders said it was a titan."

"A titan out here? Are you stupid?"

"Shut up! Let us hear it from Floch." Connie interjected as everyone quieted down.

"Well.." Floch glanced up towards Ymir, she gave him a discrete nonverbal warning.

He nodded and closed his eyes in thought, before opening them up again and focusing on the group of people huddled around him, he locked eyes with Eren who stood directly opposite to him behind Gordon.

"I suppose it all began on that mountain..."

"God dammit!"

Eren paced back and forth with a frustrated scowl, as Floch leaned against a tree, both using their break to talk about the recent events at Ehrmich. In the distance, many of their comrades were going about their day. Eren grumbled to himself, kicking a pebble with his boot. He almost didn't want to believe Floch when he informed him about what he had gone through and heard at Ehrmich, the thought of it alone sent shivers down his spine.

They were trying to rip his dreams away from him!

"It's so infuriating!"

Floch's nonchalant gaze met Eren's troubled eyes. "It's not all bad, from what I've heard, It's unlikely that it'll go anywhere."

Eren clenched his fists, his eyes burning with anger. "That's not the point, it's the fact that they're trying it to begin with! Why is it that we have to put up with this? There's nothing more important than defeating the titans, why can't they see that for crying outloud?!" Eren cried out.

Floch took a deep breath, his voice resolute. "Commander Erwin seemed confident that It'll blow over, I think It's best if we trust his judgement and not get worked up over nothing." He assured, his own frustration matching Eren's.

Eren's voice quivered with suppressed fury. "Those bastards can keel over and die for all I care! We've seen the Titans firsthand, the terror they bring. We must fight for for our freedom, I can't let them take this away from me, Floch."

"And what can you do right now? Absolutely nothing." Eren Frowned as Floch stood up, and gripped his shoulder, sharing his unwavering conviction. "But that doesn't mean we're powerless in the grand scheme of things. I have plans for the future, plans I wish to enact as soon as we graduate. Tell me something, Eren. One day, when I inevitably give these morons in charge a taste of their medicine, will I find you there at my side?"

Eren looked at him for a few seconds in shock, before his expression morphed to a confident grin. "You bet your ass, Forster."

Floch let go and closed his eyes with a sincere smile, before opening them again. "That's good to hear, I'll hold you to it."

To Floch, it seemed that ever since that day, something changed within Eren. The more that the two trained together, the more that he began noticing the boy's improvements. If the monthly rankings were anything to go by, then it looked like Eren would be heading for the top ten once more. And as for him, he managed to catch up to the rest after his arm had fully healed. Now, he was finally able to whip Ruth into shape without holding back, much to the girl's dismay.

Other than that, he found himself closer to Gordon and Sandra than ever before, as well as the rest of their team from that fateful mission. He used his ties to Ymir as an opportunity to grow closer to Historia, which thanks to the blonde girl's nature wasn't a hard feat. Their group would often hangout together during their downtime, or often times join Eren's group and share activities together, even with certain individuals.

It was a simple life for now, but sooner or later he would have to answer the question that plagued his mind for months now.

What to do about the warriors?

The sun beat down on the clearing behind the camp, where a group of teens had gathered to escape the monotony of military life. The sounds of shuffling cards mixed with the chirping of birds, laughter erupted from their circle as one of them lost another round of poker, Ymir and Floch stood together a good distance away to speak. Floch took off his jacket to cool off, enjoying the feeling of the cool breeze on his arms.

"Well, they're having fun." Ymir commented dryly.

Floch hummed behind her as he too observed them from a distance, a glint of longing in his eyes. He averted his gaze and looked up at the freckled girl. "So, It's her then." He stated, glancing at Historia.

"Yup, basically admitted to it while I was trying to convince her to leave Daz behind to freeze to death. Though, I have to say... That was a good guess you made that day." He shot him a questioning look.

He snorted. "Hardly, the two of you always seemed glued at the hip, so I naturally jumped to conclusions." He brushed it off, before turning to look at her. "What's all this about, then?"

"I think you know."

Floch tilted his head, furrowing his brows. "I thought we had this cleared up, that cover story will hold up won't it?"

"No, I meant the bastards you're up against, how are you going to deal with them?"

"Ahh, that. So you're on board then?" She nodded reluctantly, prompting him to nod back. "I see, that's good. Well, It's still too early to say. There's a lot of things we don't know, for example, what they look like, or what their next target is. That said, you wouldn't happen to have any memories that could help us speed this up?" Floch asked as he played along.

Ymir looked confused for a second. "Memories?"

"They say that whenever a titan shifter's powers are passed down, the new owner recieves fragments of memories from their predecessor."

She grabbed her chin in thought and closed her eyes as she concentrated.

"So?" Floch asked.

"Nothing, just... nothing helpful or anything but I remember being in this... parade I guess? I saw glimpses of this little kid, slicked back blond hair, and a yellow armband around his left arm. It's... strange at times, I don't know If I'm merely dreaming or if these are memories from the person I... you know."

Floch contemplated her words for a few moments, he didn't know anyone who fit that description besides Reiner, but Ymir couldn't positively identify him so he didn't bother to. "Is that all?"

"Yes." She sighed.

"That wasn't helpful at all."

"Shut up, I'm trying my best here." She hissed, before a thought came to mind. "How do you even plan on dealing with them anyway?" She inquired curiously.

"I made contact with the Survey Corps back at Ehrmich. I'm on good terms with some of their high ranking officers, when the time comes It wouldn't be difficult to fill them in and request their assistance." He informed her, before looking her directly in the eyes. "I suppose you wouldn't mind using your powers if it came down to it, would you? We could really use them."

She snorted at his question. "Hell no, with these fanatics and morons running around? I'd be burnt at the stake faster than you could finish another one of your sappy speeches."

Floch sighed. "As expected, not that I fault you for it." He stood up as he spoke, wiping the dust from his pants before he grabbed his jacket off of the floor. "Say, you inherited those powers a little over four years ago correct? Wouldn't that mean you have less than nine years left?" Ymir went quiet at that, as Floch placed his hand on her shoulder. "Being burnt at the stake or slowly rotting from the inside out, It's all the same right?" He smiled.

"Hey, you two! What are you doing all the way over here?" Gordon suddenly interrupted much to Ymir's relief as the tension between them dissipate.

"We were just joining you guys." Floch informed as he removed his hand and donned his cadet jacket.

Floch passed him as Gordon commented. "Man, If I didn't know any better I would have thought you two were a couple or something."

Ymir suddenly wrapped her arm around Gordon's neck as she forced him to move with her back to the group. "What an unfortunate thing to say." She smiled as she tightend her hold on him, nearly suffocating him. "Don't spread your shitty rumors, got it?" She sneered at him.

He nodded frantically until she eventually allowed him to breathe again, she didn't spare him another glance as she moved to join Krista's side by the ring. The rest of their group joked around with a care in the world, as they shifted on their seats of logs and rock to give some room for Floch and Ymir.

"Whatcha got there?" Ymir smirked as she wrapped a hand around Krista and glanced at her cards.

Floch took Gordon's cards as he sat next to Sandra, he looked up at the others and scanned their features as he awaited his turn. Franz, Ruth and Hannah looked worried at his arrival, his presence alone posing a threat to the small prize pool gathered in the middle. Their reactions caused him to smirk, as he made the best with what Gordon's hand offered him.

"Is it really fair If he's playing?" Hannah couldn't help but speak out as she pointed to Floch.

"No." Ruth muttered under her breath, Gordon taking a seat next to her to observe.

"My bad, I didn't know I was surrounded by a bunch of chicken." Floch taunted them as they grew increasingly annoyed at him.

"Oh, I'll show you chicken, pumpkin slice." Ymir bit back, guiding the blonde girl on how to play her cards right.

"You're on!" Franz spoke as well. "Get him!" Hannah encouraged.

Tension hung in the air as the game dragged on, the stakes growing higher with each passing hand. The teens' once carefree demeanor now replaced with weariness as they eyed each other skeptically. Now down to the last three, Sandra couldn't help but grin after she saw Ymir play her hand, the redhead next to her equally as pleased.

"Dammit!" Franz cried out, face twisted in anger. "I can't believe I lost again!" He said as Hannah lightly patted him on the back.

"You're just out of your depth, admit it." Floch smirked at him.

"Oh, shut up! You have to be cheating, there's no other way!" Franz cried out to their amusement, their faces suddenly fell when they noticed Shadis approaching in the distance, Gordon tried to motion for the irritated boy to no avail. "Dammit, this is bullshit! And it's the one time I get some rest away from that asshole Shadis too!" He spat, his friends frozen in shock.

"God! What are you all looking at me like that for? He's not behind me is he?" Franz asked in confusion.

"What's going on here?" Shadis inquired.

Franz's blood ran cold, he turned around slowly to face the man, blood draining from his face as the boy stood there mortified. The cadets exchanged nervous glances, unsure of how to respond. The instructor's stern gaze was enough to make even the most hardened soldier quake with fear.

"W-we're playing cards sir." Sandra answered with a shaky breath.

There was an uncomfortable silence, as Shadis narrowed his eyes, scrutinizing the group. For a moment, they thought they'd be in serious trouble but he simply shook his head and glanced in Franz's direction.

"Kefka."

"Yes, sir!"

"Run circles around the camp until you melt into the dirt." Shadis ordered.

The boy swallowed hard, knowing there was no arguing with his command. He stood up and began to jog away from the table, his eyes downcast in shame. The other cadets watched him go, their faces grim with the knolwedge that they could be next. But to their surprise, Shadis turned away to leave.

He couldn't help but find the shift in dynamic laughable, in his time this man was nothing more than a punching bag, a discarded relic of the past. It seemed surreal at times that this was the same man he had humiliated that day in Shiganshina. That would end up costing him however, as Shadis suddenly turned to him with his sunken eyes. "Care to make us laugh with you, Forster?"

"Sorry, Sir! Mayer is whispering things in my ear, I couldn't help it." He replied, inwardly smirking as Gordon's face fell in shock.

"Is that so? Then you fucking maggots better join Kefka, If I still find a hint of joy in your sorry faces by the time I come to scoop you off the ground then you'll have to do it all over again! Go!" He ordered them menacingly.

"Yes sir!" Floch shouted back at him as he dragged the boy away from the group.

"What the hell did you do that for?! You bastard!" Gordon screamed in his ear as Floch ran without a concern.

"Oh, you guys too?" Franz said as the two caught up to him.

"This- This asshole dragged me here!" Gordon shouted incredulously.

"At least I'm not on my own-." Franz commented before Floch's laughter interrupted him.

The two boys looked at the redhead, as he ran without a care in the world.

For a moment, he had tasted freedom, and it was sweet.

hello, finally back, I wanted to answer a few things from the last few reviews I received quick(these are from FFN):

- (AJ) Floch not hating Shadis: He didn't know who derailed the train reinforcements in the port battle and was in the water bleeding out when Shadis showed up so to him Shadis stopped being a problem after they beat the shit out of him in shiganshina.

- (Rimk10) Eren being a jokester: To my knowledge of rewatching/rereading the manga, Eren's been somewhat of a joker during his training days but became more serious after his first battle at trost (which is the idea now).

- (Sergeant Gross) the disbanding of the SC: it's something I-

-(Sergeant Gross) The Ymir reveal: I like to see it as an onion, with many layers. Where Ymir will start to find out more and more things down the line. hihi

- (PM) "what's your top 5 aot characters" : Floch/Erwin/Eren(pre-139)/Zeke(pre-137)/Hange(season1-3) in that order.
